Glad Charlie's test went well Cathie. I hope Lily is doing ok. I think public shaming is totally inappropriate for little children.
I'm really glad to hear things are getting better for you Jules and EJ. The first 10 weeks or so with DS were a blur, but I do remember the point at which we'd seemed to turn a corner. It makes things a lot easier when they can lie down, that's for sure!
Miri's in medium nappies too. It's amazing how fast they grow, isn't it? It's second time round and I'm still blown away. By this time with DS I was back in full-time work and DH was a SAHD.... wow. And I guess she's due for her immunisations now too. Is anyone skipping/delaying at all? I'm not going to do the rotarvirus one.
Anyway, she's doing very well. Growing etc. Waking more in the night just now, but I've got feeding while lying down working for me so it's not so bad. Some days she sleeps heaps, some not much at all. What can you do? I'm trying to follow my own advice and relax and go with it. I was getting a bit anxious about things for a while there. Felt really crap last week, and then came down with a cold. Now, snot notwithstanding, I'm feeling a lot better
I *think* she laughed the other day. Um, what else do we talk about with newborns...? OH, poo! Well she's going a bit less frequently, every other day or so.
I made some trimmer nappies, but have discovered the pockets are a bit tricky to stuff without overdoing it and causing leaks. I do like the fit though so I might make some AIOs or figure out a way to do sew-in-ones or something, so they don't take quite so long to dry. My BumGs are falling apart, so I actually need to make some more.
Someone mentioned Magicalls and leaks...? I found they need to be prewashed a LOT of times to avoid leaking straight out the sides and need to be pulled pretty tight too.
I've started doing some exercise - using the rowing machine as recommended by the physio. DS has to have a go too though. Right now it's ok as I'm so unfit I can only do a few minutes at a time anyway. I hope the novelty will wear off. On his daycare days I plan to do some exercises on the fit ball. Anyway, now my tummy muscles hurt. I have tummy muscles!
