    Oh EJ

Charlotte - Pip hated it in class, but then after a bit of practice loved it! Plus it's a great reason to buy sumptous massage oils ... you know, DH has to practice on someone!!!

Well Pip is in the Very Very Bad books - the Easter Bunny may not come it's that bad. Yesterday he pulled a display of easter rabbits over in the shops, today he stood behind Will's door and screamed blue murder for a snack - just as I had *finally* gotten Will to sleep after 2 hours. Needless to say, his sleep was less than 2 minutes. Give me strength! Have been trying to put a casserole on for tea since around 11am when I returned from the docs (Mirena!) and have finally put it on. We'll have it for tea tomorrow night now.

Hope all is well with everyone.

    Deep breaths Kaz

I haven't said a propper Hi yet Crumpet but i have done massage with all of mine since birth and it's a great bedtime routine for us. Harper really loves it now, gets a bit squirmy when you do her belly but loves arms and legs and back. She blows raspberries and sticks her tounge out and chats through it. We just have to make sure the room is warm and be pretty quick at it.

I think we'll be back at the dr's tonight

Big hugs EJ I hope your little monkey is feeling better soon.
Kaz - yay welcome to my world also Big I keep telling Lily that the easter Bunny is watching her and she asked even at night I said Yep.
MadB - yay for the potty ( doing a little dance for you )

Well I'm madly packing to go away next Monday, trying to pack for 8 is a pain and we can only have so much on the plane. Charlie is still having bad days but he is still sleeping all night so I won't complain. Time for bed.

    Hi all,

EJ, fingers crossed little Harper is okay. Thinking of you.

Jules, how's Jacob doing with his sleeps?

Crumpet, do persist with the massage... Millie freaked out at first but luuurves it now. Like Miri, she's a bit thingy about having her back massaged, but when the stars align it's okay

Kaz, oh noooooo to the Easter bunny ban hope Pip improves for you.

MadB, glad Mr No Pants is asking for the potty. DH always worries when he sees kids running around the shops in a batman suit, jammies or undies, and says he won't leave the house if our kids ever pull a stunt like that... I figure whatever will get them out of the house, and it will make for great stories at their 21sts

Cathie your holiday sounds AWESOME. I will sunbathe vicariously through you!

Millie had her first trip into the big bad city today! We caught the train, which was great on the way in. Had lunch with friends in a nice cafe, she chatted and carried on and was basically a very social little miss! Walked across town via Hyde Park to DH's office, and she got to meet his team. I am a bit hissy fitty about the lack of parent facilities at the new Westfields, it's all glitzy but despite claims on their website have not yet opened their parent room. It's actually really interesting now needing ramps, lifts etc... I can't use my local station as there are no lifts, and getting around in the CBD is hard work. I always thought Sydney was pretty accessible, but you really have to know which way to go, which entrance to take etc. Even Hyde Park needed a bit of thought as the normal route I take has stairs!

On the way home she was tired and cranky... and spat her dummy out on the manky train floor *shudder* so it was a rather challenging ride home. Once we got home, she was so beyond tired it took quite a bit of rocking and soothing to get her to drift off. As sorry as I felt for her it was nice to go back to the newborn type cuddles. I know that sounds weird as she's only 4 months, but she's growing up so fast and, while we have nice cuddles every day, usually she's busy looking around, trying to sit up on her own etc... this afternoon she just needed to be in her Mummy's arms and I loved it.

    Night all.

Crumpet - I hope you figure out a way for Summah to enjoy massages, Jacob hated them at first too

MadB - Gosh, I hope your sleep issues pass soon, dealing with one child should be enough, I think you deserve a good sleeper to even things out a little!! your description of the shopping trip yesterday made me laugh...

EJ - Oh poor Harper and poor mummy..... how is she feeling today?? I hope she's much better....gastro is terrible.

Kaz - Sounds like you had a shocker of a day yesterday, I hope Pip is behaving for you today and Will can catch up on any sleep that he missed yesterday!

Cathie - Good luck with the packing, I bet you're excited about your trip!!

PP - Sleeps are still challenging but not at night time thankfully!! Wow, what an adventure yesterday was for you!! That's so weird about the parent room!! I would have been majorly P.O'd. It definately changes things having a baby doesn't it?? You would normally just skip up or down the stairs with not even a thought but all of a sudden you have to consider the pram etc... it's quite funny how much it changes. Awww, I love those cuddles too!! One of my most favourite things about being a mummy

AFU - Nothing major to report here....Jacob had his four month needles today took DH with me this time which was good, (mum needs support too you know hehe) He was really good but of course had a little scream then a cry, till he was picked up for a cuddle. He actually bled from one of them and needed an ice pack, so he's got a little bruise and was a bit sooky. He has been asleep in his pram at home for the last hour, no rocking required. My poor little man.

Hope you're all having a nice day. xoxo

ok im going to catch up a bit so sorry in advance if this gets long.....

who am i kidding, IF its gets long, its going to be long!

WOW Charlotte - thank you for sharing your little girl's story and pictures. I teared up, I have to say. You and your family are amazing.

    Hi Crumpet!

she's now the only baby in my mothers' group who hasn't started solids yet. Still completely disinterested, which suits me fine.
i agree, a amazing story and plenty of tears here too...

how old is ur DD?? summah is 16weeks and from what i can tell she has no intrest at all in solids....
she doesnt watch us eat, is quite content with her formula, not unsettled....so im guessing it will be a bit longer before we start...

    hey

    Hi Crumpet
Well charlie Boy has been crying and crying and crying during the day he is sucking his hands and he makes so much noise when he is sucking his hands so he is teething YAY NOT.
    Hi hun!

oh no poor little man we have a lot of drool and fist chewing and sucking but no teeth as yet, her MCHN had a look and her bottom right tooth is on the way up but she said prob another month or so...thank god im not ready for teeth!

Hey Crumpet! Welcome back. Lovely to have you around again. Glad to hear how well little Summah is going. I agree, that photo is gorgeous!! What a smartie pants trying to roll. Jacob did it for the first time I few days ago in his cot at 1.20am! I was so shocked. They are growing up too fast aren't they...

AFU - I am so frustrated with day sleeps!!!!!!! I even went for an hour walk this afternoon and the cheeky little monkey didn't sleep - he was too busy watching the trees and me. I have tried so many things...nothing works. Tonight was tough, he screamed, he couldn't settle. I tried everything that normally works, even DH had a go. It took over an hour to get him to sleep. That hasn't happened in over a week.... I just hope things improve soon. I'll just keep doing what I can.

I better get to bed while I can. Hope you are all well xoxo
thanks hun, great to be back!!
i love the pic of her with the feathers, poor kid must have felt so itchy afterwards coz i know i did! they are growing way to fast!

are you guys having issues with jacob sleeping?

crumpet, some kids just hate it. but sometimes thye hate it the first time then come to love it. I give DD one every night. not her arms though, she hates having her arms massaged. Doesn't mind it on her face though. I only do her back if she's had a really good day or else she spits it.
ill give it another go, at home this time, and see how we go, if she likes it great, if not, oh well, her loss!

We're back from our weekend away girls but i have one sick little girl Breaks my heart to see her so out of sorts. It's gastro which makes me very nervous. Between Aidan's little episode the other week and spending time with family who had it early last week i'm not certain where she's gotten it but everyone else is ok. Touch wood!! So far no feeds have been kept down today and she's sleeping a lot, i'm having her sleep in her high chair (it reclines) so i can keep an eye on her. She's been awake less than half an hour and is now asleep on my lap. The poor baby must feel terrible. She has been to the doctors today so i know what to look out for but still i'm constantly checking her, my nephew got severly dehydrated with gastro which unfortunatley led to other complications for him and i know it's very different but i still get so scared about vomiting.

So on her 4th month Birthday she is sick I hope it doesn't last long for her and that she'll start keeping feeds down soon.

Will catch up with you all soon. Hope everyone is well xo
oh no, hope ur DD is better soon!

oh dear, sounds like Pip has pushed the boundries a bit to far!

thats ok sounds full on at ur place with DD being sick, is she any better?

maybe thats where we went wrong, i was pretty slow, given i hadnt done it before i wasnt going to hit world record pace, summah needs to get some patience i think!

we had a bit of a shocker here today. DD not sleeping. DS refusing to wear pants. So off to the shops with a crying, overtired baby adn a 3 year old in pink undies.
oh dear what a day for you.....
the pink undies at the shops sent me into fitsof laughter though, prob wasnt so funny for you at the time. the things i have to look forward too!

Crumpet, do persist with the massage... Millie freaked out at first but luuurves it now. Like Miri, she's a bit thingy about having her back massaged, but when the stars align it's okay

Crumpet - I hope you figure out a way for Summah to enjoy massages, Jacob hated them at first too

AFU - Nothing major to report here....Jacob had his four month needles today
    thanks hun.....

oh no poor jacob! Summah is having hers next thursday.... cant say im looking forward to it, but after all the anti b jabs and heel *****s she had in hospital im kinda ok with her being jabbed now, poor kid!

    AFU:

    not much ro report here.....
Summah is cruising along happy as larry like usual.
we had her out till 10 last night ( i still feel guilty for having her out that late) and she was great! got lots of cuddled from friends and dozed on and off in her pram, then went to bed no hassels when we got home so i was happy with that.

we are off to costco tomorrow with my SIL-to-be and my nephew, then on friday a picnic with some friends and babies!

yet another full on week here!

do your babies hold onto toys yet?
summah will not hold onto any type of toy yet, is happy to bash them while she is on her floor mat but wont grab at them.....
