Hey Isabel, I have PMd you my name so you can add me to facebook!

Im hearing you about frustrated bubs. Mia gets annoyed because she cant move lol. Not long til she does. For now I am appreciating that she can stay in the one spot while I have a shower...but I have a big playpen all ready for when she starts crawling...

Hi ladies, I haven't been on here for awhile because DD is keeping me so busy! OK so she hasn't rolled yet but she's half way there. I think she's just lazy (like her dad)
She's been on solids for a month now and is loving food, not to mention always watching my plate and what I put in my mouth. Poor love has to wait a long time until she eats my food

The latest that is happening with her and us is.......she is growing so beautiful day by day. I have a few issues because I'm still wrapping her and I want to stop however laying her down in her cot is just a laugh because she just bounces away and starts sucking on everything from the blanket to her fingers. I know she's teething but come out damn it! She still wakes up once during the night for a feed however the last cuople of nights she has been getting up a lil more often to bite on the blanket. She still sleeps in my room and I know I have to get her in her room some time this century but I find it hard to have the thought of leaving her alone in her room during the night. I dont know what is up with that, however because shes been waking up and also because I'm still breastfeeding it's just so easy to lean over and pick her up as oppose to walk into her room and feed her. Also the nights are just getting way to cold to even leave the room so for now I'm still happy with her next to me.

Apart from that things are good. She's awake more often and wants to play. She gets really bored quickly so I have to dedicate more time to her. I find it harder now to get things done during the day because she always wants my attention.....And she hasnt' started crawling yet! I'm making the most of having showers while leaving her on the floor in my site because I know the days she starts crawling I can kiss my mornings to myself goodbye hahahaha........

Hope everyone else is doing well.....

Hi queenb -sounds like your dd is growing beautifully. When dd1 started crawling I would strap her in her high chair in the bathroom and give her some toys while I showered lol

Aimee is doing well, she rolls everywhere and does it with purpose now to get to her toys. She is having 2 or 3 meals a day now. Still no teeth but her left cheek is red si it might be soon. The girls have colds and she is so snuffly poor little thing. Im back to work in less than a month, I can't believe its come so quickj

    hope everyone is well

    Hi mums and bubs,

It has been ages since i have been on here as well. I just dont seem to be able to find the time during my day. Just to add to my busy day with Lily, we have been told that our house has sold and we have 30 days to find a new one to rent and move!!! GREAT.....

Things are going really well for Lily and myself. She is developing nicely growing up to be a big girl a little too quickly though.

She has been rolling for a couple of months now, it is something that she does when she could be bothered, thinking she is a little lazy in that sense.

A question for you all, the last couple of days she has started to make this strange sound, it sounds like she is exhaling while doing a poo (if that makes sense) she seems to do it when she gets excited or is after attention. Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

QueenB - I also found it really hard to move Lily into her own room. I think she has now been in her own room for about a month. Everyone was on my back about it, telling me she should have been in her own room pretty much from day one. This didnt suit me at all. The first few nights when she did move into her room, which is about 1 metre from our room and i can also see her in her cot from my bed, I didnt really sleep. I was up every hour checking that she was ok and that she was still breathing etc. It was so hard. She was fine though, i think she really enjoys her own room now. Good luck!!! Do it when your ready.

Sararose - It sounds like Aimee is doing really well. You poor thing with going back to work, hasnt that time gone nice and quick!!! At this stage I wont be going back to work for a while.......I am really hoping this sticks, I completely love being a stay at home mum (i am guessing we all do) I guess I just have to keep my fingers crossed that things keep going well for DH's work!!!

I cant believe i am up at 2am on the internet, it is very sad. Lily is sound asleep as per usual and i am awake stressing about finding a house.

We have been so lucky with Lily she has pretty much slept through from day one, she now sleeps 11-12 hours each night, it is wonderful.

Anyone have plans for another bub anytime soon???

    Hey all.
I can't believe that it has been so long since I last got on here!
Jaycen is doing really well, he's over 8.5kg now and chowing down on the solids, though we have found that he is intolerant to a few foods - carrot, broccoli and coles brand sausages lol
He started rolling from his back to his tummy last friday, and now he just won't stop! lol I can't leave him alone for a second becauseas soon as I turn my back when he's on the floor he rolls over. What happened to my nice little quiet baby who was happy to just lie on his back and play with his toys while I did housework?
Anywaym other news, Jaycen cut his first tooth on sunday morning, and his second tooth yesterday morning. The poor little mite has been grizzling for months, so I'm glad that they've come through now, though I'm pretty sure that more won't be too far away as he's still grizzling a bit.
I'm a bit high on coffee at the moment, hence my being up after midnight.

Anthea22 - DF and I are planning on trying for bub number 2 somewhere around late november/early december, just before we get married, figured around 18 months in age difference would be good for them.

Anyway, I'd better go and try to get down from this coffee high so I can get some sleep.
    Hope everyone is doing well.

hello everyone! its truly been a very long time since i was in here.

well, an update from here - laa has two teeth, still sleeps with me overnight (she still has a few feeds overnight so not changing that till she stops! and i like it ) and is 8kg. We were going to follow Baby Led Solids - but honestly if we did I wouldnt have been following her (ah! the irony!) as she just wants to eat everything and gets so frustrated if she has to "try" to eat it herself. So spooning we are Everything so far has been just what we are eating but cooked seperately without salt etc... a few days ago we were out and i tried to give her a jar of organic baby berries - she woulnt touch it Her favourite is weetbix with a dash of honey though! ah but the solids poos OMG!!! still hasnt worn a sposie

We have now branched out with our carriers and have a beetlebum, a vatanai wrap and a didymos ringsling on the way - also had two mei teis previously that she wouldnt have a bar of in the froggy position... but now they are GREAT, especially for back carries, she loves being in there and we dance around doing the vacuuming together, its silly fun

is anyone else cautious with GM foods with their little ones?

jenna - ah your wedding is creeping up so quickly! are you ready hun? its so very exciting

anthea - you sound like you are going really really well! when are YOU going back for another?I'd like to enjoy this summer with laa (a few glasses of champagne here and there too!) then start trying around late jan/feb......... but I still don't have AF lucky me !!

sara - how is work going hun? are you back full time or part time? i feel for you hun, I dont think I could focus on work and not think of laa

queen b - dont worry about getting her into her own room, she will eventually and then when she does you will miss her.... enjoy it while she is little hun

gucci - welcome!!! (bit late but hey!)

everyone else big huge coo eeee!!!

    Hi Ladies,

Gosh I can't even remember the lst time I was in here - sorry! We must all be very busy with our bubs!

I have to say I love being a mummy! When I was pregnant I was never sure how I would handle it (I'm not very patient at the best of times) but I'm amazed at how naturally it has come to me. I'm dreading even thinking about returning to work later in the year, I really don't know how I will handle being away from Belle.

Well Belle got her first two teeth around 4 1/2 months and seems to have been teething on and off since but were still waiting for more teeth to show through. She started rolling front and back around 4 months and is now crawling everywhere. It's insane, she's into everything especially the bin and chewing on shoes ewww. I joke that we don't have a daughter, we have a dog!

Solids are going great guns too, and we finally have our sleep worked out. We ended up going to sleep school around 5 month as Belle was waking every half hour through the night and I just couldn't handle it anymore. She now sleeps through (hooray) and just the last week we have dropped one of her day sleeps so she is having and hour in the morning and two hours in the afternoon which is bliss. It's been a long time coming I tell you!

Well I've been having trouble getting rid of this baby weight (the half a block of choc every night doesn't help) so I'm booked in for my first lesson with a personal trainer today. I'm a bit scared I haven't done any exercise in about 10 years . But the trainer takes a small group of mums and you can bring your bubs too so I'm hoping it will be good.

I must admit, after labour I swore I wasn't having any more babies, but the idea has been lurking around my mind the last few weeks. I haven't mentioned it to DH yet as I'm not sure how he will take it as our brood is big enough with his 3 from a previous relationship! We'd almost need a bigger house!

Sorry for no personals, but it would have taken me forever to catch up on what everyone's been doing since I haven't been in here for soooo long! I hope everyone is well and I'll try to pop in a bit more often.

Kitten - I'm as ready as I'll ever be. We get our invitations this week, DF's sister is making them, so it saves us a bit of money. DF's other sister is making the cake - a two-tier white chocolate cheesecake. I'm making a necklace and bracelet for my maid of honour, which will only cost me about $5 in total (I make bracelets, earings and necklaces and sell pandora-style beads/charms and bracelets at the local market, so it's easy enough for me to do). I just have to find a black skirt to go with the black and purple corset that I got, and we only have $20 left to pay off my shoes. Now we just have to come up with the money to pay for the hall hire, celebrant, accommodation, catering and food.

Clair - I hear you about the baby weight. DF and I are on the Tony Ferguson Diet. DF has lost over 20kg in 9 weeks and I've lost about 5kg in 8 weeks (But I've been a bad bad girl and have been eating chocolate cake and peanut brittle lol). It only costs us about $45 each a week and I think it is well worth it. I don't eat nearly as much junk food these days as I used to, and I've gone off McDonalds and other fast foods like that. Can't even stand to eat anything greasy like fish and chips anymore either lol

Hi girls glad to see everyone is doing well

Clair - lol at the shoee chewing, Aimee likes to chomp on shoes. Rather embarrasing but dd1 got into the abthroom cupboards while I was putting clothes away and gave Aimee a tampon(unopened) to chew. Yuck, I quickly grabbed it and threw it away, thankgod she didnt choke on the wrapper.

JJ- Sounds like jaycen is growing up fast, once they start moving your in trouble lol. Aimee is rocking on all 4's and has just started moving forwards, she can go backwards for miles and wedges herself under beds, between the lounge chairs and in any crevice she can find lol

Anthea- no plans for our last bub yet, but Im starting to get clucky everytime I go through the maternity ward to go and express at work. We will wait until after our wedding in feb before thinking about number 3, Id like to wait til Aimee is 2 until we start trying.

kitt3n- lol about the BLS we tried it too but Aimee wanted food and would get so cranky when she couldnt get it in her mouth, I normally feed her mashed foods and then give her something to chew on while we eat, banana, rusks, brocoli and banana are favourites that she can feed herself. Last night I gave her 1/2 a milk arrowroot as Id run out of rusks, she really enjoyed it but Its going to be a rare treat for her (too much sugar). We still love our baby hawk mei tai, I use it all the time when I take both girls shopping, Aimee in the MT and Jas in the pram. i couldnt do it otherwise. Aimee still falls asleep in the mt and is so happy in there.

Im back at work just 2 days a week , Im working tuesdays and alternate weekends. Miss the girls but Im glad to be back in all honesty. I like my work and feel like Ive done some good when I get home and given my brain a work out. Sunday i said to tony thank god Im going to work as jasmine was throwing an almighty tantrum about something, her socks from memory. I dont think Id want to do more than 2 days a week, its just right for me now. Im still bf so I go and express once or twice a shift in our bf room and get to use works fantastic medela swing pumps (wish I could hide one under my jacket but they are too big lol .)

Im happy we have made it this far with bf although i did get my first nipple bite with teeth last night, I yelled no then felt terrible as she cried and broke her little heart but I couldnt help it it bloody hurt!!

Just thought I'd pop on with an update as Jaycen has been asleep for the last hour (thank god!) He's spent the previous hour before that grizzling...
He has a third tooth coming through. It hasn't cut through the gum yet, but you can see it an feel it.
I've tried everything today - frozen teethers, bonjela, breuers (sp?), wet facewashers, gold rings (apparently gold helps the tooth cut through, not sure if it works yet), df's watch (helped the other two come through, not working this time though) and rubbing the gum. Nothing has worked. At least he managed to cry himself to sleep. I really shouldn't say it, but I'm glad he was too exhausted from crying to stay awake.
    Anyway, ttyl!

Hello I am very late, but I only just discovered this thread . . hope we can still join! Would love baby buddies ladies to chat to.

Ummm, about us . . I am Sarah my bub is Ellyse - Elly for short. She was born 1st December and was LBW and spent a little under a week in SCU. We breastfed for 7 months till she refused bb altogether as we had to comp from 3 weeks as I had a very poor supply and she was already so tiny and not gaining weight but that's a whole other saga. Hmmm, other than that we are cloth nappy lovers, bub loves being wrapped to me and draws lots of stares from the neighbours if I go on walks with her like that, Elly has 4 teeth is very happy and very cheeky and you wouldn't know she was so tiny at the start looking at her now but I am starting to worry that she isn't crawling yet... Or eating much ATM.

This thread was a million pages long so I haven't had a chance to look back over heaps so have only read this page . . how many ladies are in here?? Oooh, Hi Kitt3n someone I recognize . and yes I am uber clucky (note my siggy) ;-)
