Babies Born December 2007 #12

Well , my little girl has a respistory tract infect and is coughing gunk like you wouldn't belive. Sleeping ok so far though so fingers crossed. The Doctor hasn't given her AB which I was pleased with but said if it gets worse and she goes off her milk then to take her back.

OUr Day Care have called and said they have a Fridays available now! I'm due to go back to work in July but if I don't take the day now I may not get it then. She will be going two days per week but I just wasn't expecting it to start so soon.

Ideally I would love to stay at home with her but the finances don't allow that, so now I am trying to get myself used to the fact that I have to put her in so early. I am just going to do a few hours at first so she get's used to it. I am looking on the bright side that this way we can get into a good routine before I go back to work so it will be less stressfull then.

LoriRae you said you are startng swimming lessons. I am busting to get my Bub in the water but most places where I live would prefer to wait until at least six months but prefer a year. Is anyone else looking to get their bub in to the pool?

Now it is either Liz or Louise.. happy 6 months to Kayla or Sofia. I am almost certain it is Kayla.. Either way happy 6 months..

Alicia: Great snow pics.. I am so jealous. i have never seen snow before. Maybe next year..

haroula: Sounds like a super busy time indeed. Will look at pics in a sec. Hope those teeth start easing up on her soon

Rory: oo what for.. Will have to go find the thread now.. Feel better soon

Kts: Bugga. I hope she gets better soon. Poor darling.. I hope the work transition goes smoothly

No swimming lessons here yet. but seeing how much Olivia loves the bath we will start when winter has gone..

Well this miss has the grumps on for some reason today.. I am debating giving her the rest of the Antibiotics? they seem to upset her tummy.. I know I should complete the course.. sO whats worse.. not completeing or completeing with an upset tummy girl...

Awwww Nic, that is just too cute. Could have warned me not to watch it while trying to get Abbey to sleep. She had to turn around for the giggling baby. Wonder what Olivia found so funny. Abbey hasn't started to laugh like that yet. She giggles, but only if we tickle or provoke her.

Yummo on the poo explosion. Abbey was having bare bum time yesterday, she was laying on the floor in the lounge with a cloth flat nappy under her bum, on her tummy. She did a few big farts and DP was laughing at it then came the poo, no more laughs. Well execpt from me. LOL. He was not impressed, interferred with his footy.

Kts, can you just pay for the day and not take her for a few weeks ? I can see how its a awaste of money doing that though. I hope she gets better real soon too. Abbey's has been hanging around for a month now.

LoriRae, Abbey will start swim survival classes at around 10 months or so. So the weather will be starting to warm up then too.

Rory, great article and pic hun. Hope you feel better soon and the boys are well.

Haroula, nice pics too. We are having the same sore mouth issues with feeds. Try using some teething gel before her feed, this way her gums are alittle numb and she might be able to suck better.

Alicia, great pics from you too. Gorgeous photos. I have never even seen snow either. Does the inside of the freezer count ?? Or a massive hail storm ?

Abbey has had a little sleep today, actually for her it was good, prob just over an hour, some in my arms then some more in bed.
She is going baldy poor thing. It's too cold to go baldy. Perhaps she is trying to keep up with me. I'm another loosing monsterous ammounts of hair everyday. It's shocking, and cos it's long it's easier to see everywhere. Poor Abbey always has some wrapped around her hands or under her chin ???

hehe woops.. I watched it while feeding Olivia too and well the feeding didn't go so well

I have to say Olivia is being painful today.. She goes to sleep I put her to bed she wakes up.. then half hour later one foul child who won't sleep. Take around 45 mins o get her to sleep. then the cycle begins again.. Next sleep she can just sleep on me...

just a quick hello from me, ash is about to go spaz sitting here, will post later..

- we are in walker nappies as of today hahaha, i was only going to use them at night as his nappy has leaked every night for 5 days straight,(not nice to co-sleep and wake up in runny poos!) but i put one on him today to see if it was to big and it fits nice and snug, so walker nappies it is! hehe

How quickly is it moving in here lately!
LoriRae - for your wedding maybe inquire at your local TAFE & see if any of the photography students are interested my mum did that for her second marriage & saved heaps and the pics were as good as the "pro's"
Trish - Abbey looks like a little angel in her church outfit it is gorgeous.
Nic - That video was great lovely to hear her laughing - Vicky gets the giggles when daddy sings

Haroula - Hope Chrissie's teeth settle down a bit soon for you - try the Teething Relief Tablets (in chemist around $12) natural product & thats all we ever used with Alex.
Aurora - Great article good on you for helping get these issues out there - Hope you feel better.

Kts64s, LoriRae, Nic & Trish - hope your little ones get better soon

Pretty good day here except for a 15 min tanty from little miss around lunch time. I ended up popping her on the floor to get over it while i got lunch for Alex & I and within a couple of mins she was over it and giggling

and was great for the rest of the day. Spent the arvo outside watching Alex discover Bubble Mix i love rediscovering the simple things in life and seeing their delight - warm fuzzy feelings.

LoriRae- Ohh, when are you getting married? Thanks for the tip on the bi-carb soda, I’ll see how it goes.
Trish- The complete wash is also a good idea, but it was so cold here in Melbourne today and wet that I couldn’t bring myself to go out and do it! I’ve got Gabe in his sleeping bag tonight so we’ll see how he goes… Great photos – you have such beautiful kids.
Nic- I’m the same, I wanted ‘Elf the Fairy Cake Maker’ to win too!! I LOVED the video of Olivia giggling, how cute. I had to watch it a few times.

Rory- Sorry you’re feeling yuck today but yay on the photo in the paper
Kts64s- Your poor little bubba, I hope she gets better quickly. Bummer that you have to start the child care so early, but as you say, probably good to get used to it early.
Buzzie- Whoa, walkers!! Probably wont be long til Gabe is in them though. I’ve found that the Aldi nappies are good for overnight, they seem to hold heaps.
Morgan- Happy four months to Victoria. My DD loves the bubble mix too.

Well we had a shocker of a night last night, for some reason Kyla was waking up and all upset so I ended up getting up so many times that I didn’t actually get any sleep, and ended up sleeping with both Kyla and Gabe in the bed – well not sleeping – as soon as I got them in our bed DH’s alarm was going off! I hope tonight is better.
Thanks everyone for the tips on my stinky stroller. I'll let you know how I go, hopefully we'll get some sun in Melbourne so I can give it a wash and sun.

Hi everyone,
I've just had to read like 6 pages of stuff since i was last in here.

Mirani is doing really well, still a bit funny with her feeds but is still a lil fat chubba. I was going to post some pics but realised that i didnt have any new ones on my pc, they're all on dp's.

I am so looking forward to school going back tomorrow. there will be a huge sigh of releif heard far and wide from the mums here in perth.

She's also rolling now, but only in one direction. she's also due for her 4 month immuns, which i will have done but no more after that. the other 2 girls only had up until then because of the mmr, which dp didnt want them to have. with the solids issue, she's looking VERY interested in solids and every day I'll give her a little taste of something wether it be yoghurt or mashed veg. I introduced the other 2 round about this age and theres nothing wrong with them. i guess it just depends on the child.

when my parents got married, they had a celebrant, us kids and a couple of witnesses at the local botanic gardens, and then my uncle took the pics and had a spit roast in my grandparents yard with all the rellies and friends for the reception. my mum had also made her dress, my dress, my grandma's dress and my brothers suits (they were only 3 & 5 at the time). so they saved a lot of money. oh and the flowers (orchids) had come from my great grandma's garden.

nic: i hope livvi is ok. there's nothing worse than knowing that something is wrong and drs not taking you seriously. my mum went thru hell when she had endo.

hope all the sick kiddies are getting better.

it is Sofia who is 6 months tomorrow, where has time gone? She is 6kg now so that is over 3 times her birthweight.

I started work again today and Sofia was a little angel on her first day in the workforce. I'm not to impressed with the 2hours of travelling to and from work though. Maria who doesn't usually wake until about 8am was not impressed at being woken at 6.45am to get ready for childcare.

On the weekend we went to Tamworth for greek easter, was nice but am glad I am home.

Oh Lorirae - when is your wedding - if you need a wedding cake I might be able to help.

And the time certainly is flying!

Kayla has lost a lot of hair too, and she's getting fairer too! Woohoo! LOL. So now DH has a mini-me and I have a mini-me! Her eyes still look blue in some light, so I'm hopeful that they won't turn a definite brown.

I haven't taken Kayla for her 4 month needles - woops. LOL. Spose I should just do it. (I can blame getting confused with corrected age - even tho I'm not LOL).

We've had a few bad nights of sleeping. I tried her in a sleeping bag, but she was too unsettled, and it leaves her hands free to rip the dummy out of her mouth argh! So I've been wrapping her again. But the wraps are too small for her, and she's getting out of them, and that's waking her I think. So I went to lincraft today and bought some big pieces of warm material, so hopefully it'll see us through winter, and come the warmer months she should be right for not wrapping anymore. I wrapped Tallon for about 8 months I think.

I'm slowly getting my head around toilet training Tallon. LOL. I'm pretty sure he's quite ready, just waiting on me to be ready. Can't think of anything worse than having to think of where toilets are whenever we go out. I mean - what do you do when you're in the middle of grocery shopping?? Nappies are so easy LOL. Oh, and we've decided to keep Tallon in disposables now until he's trained. I'm just not keeping up with 2 in cloth in this cold wet weather. So now I have to devise ways of keeping his pants up! LOL.

Guess I should try and get some sleep. night!

Sorry havent have in here much been pretty busy... Went and saw a specialist in regard to my mouth pain.. they suspect Neuligria not the correct speeling but its bascially a nerve in my face telling my brain I have pain when in fact there is no pain... Still waiting to see what meds I can or cant take while breast feeding

Nic huge hugs to you I am so glad Miss Olivia is improving

Carrie: I hope you got a decent night last night.. Jacob has also been waking in the night crying and carrying on.. I lost my patience with him 2 nights ago and raised my voice at him and he hasn't woken since..

I will admit I prefer the holidays but some days it is nice to go back to 3 kids instead of 4 as Ethan and Isaac fight a bit somedays

Louise: Happy 6 months Sofia

half a year .. Did you do anything? I usually get some nice pics taken. Will look into a proffessional photographer again for Olivia. We did it for isaac and were so happy with the pics

Liz: hope Toilet training goes smooth.. WIth shopping and toilets I used to use nappies when we went out and about and took them to the toilet while out but us and the kids had the reassurance of a nappy at other times. but I took the nappy off as soon as we got home though..

Teena: way to go Olivia ,, Can't wait to hear the Mumma from my little one.. Way to cute... glad the doctor found out what was going on with your moouth. sorry to hear it is neuralga though..

heres hoping some meds help..

Well yet another decent night.. Olivia slept 7 till 2, then 3 till 4 and I was so tired at 4 I put her in bed with me. i know I shouldn't have as the Dr said to keep her on her monitor but to be honest I really miss cuddling up with her in the mornings. She slept I dozed till 6. I just liked cuddling with her

I bought one of those sleeping bag thingos and I had to put it on her this morning. We woke to cold weather..

It was 23 when I went to bed and humid and we woke to 16. Thats almost a winter night so chilly when wearing summer jammies

Well the miss is calling.. Time for morning nap I think.. We have our happy healthy Livi back.. big smiles and just looks great...

My name is Jasmine. Ethan Cody was born on the 28th of December 2 weeks early via emergency csection. We had an eventful first 3 months in and out of hospital but yesterday he turned 4 months old and has not had hospital visits for a whole month! Went and got his 4 month immunisations done yesterday and he has a wonderful temperature again. He got it with his last one and again with this one. I have 3 other boys alex jack and charlie. Better run Ethan wants to be fed. Talk to you all soon
