hehe... Kayla just woke up from a massive sleep. So she'll be up for a while now. It's not usually until about 10pm that she finally goes down and doesn't want to get up for plays. Still wakes frequently for feeds, but doesn't want to get up. If it weren't for that, I'd believe this girl is nocturnal the way she sleeps so well in the day.

Liz you lucky thing... although Ty is getting better with his day sleeps. We had an hour and a half this morning And he's in bed at six most nights... still wakes for feeds (or to scream) and has taken to waking at five am and wanting to party....

eeep touch wood we get no late night partys here! Ash has been wanting to play the last 2 nights instead of sleeping but usually gives in within 30mins.

Nic - Olivia looks soo sweet in the outfits! how nice to finally get her into them.

Liz - i soo couldnt do 10pm sleep every night! we have only just pushed out to 8 - 8.30pm lol Day sleeps are great tho, i would rather that most of the time.

We're officially signed up for next terms swimming lessons. so excited. Those who go already, has any bubs been sick cos of it?? call me paranoid but im soooo hoping he doesnt get too many bugs, i got gastro when my niece went!

Rob wants to catch up this weekend and go see a movie, omg i have never been that long away from Ash EVER! little own at night time...! im going to be a mess!

I better go enjoy the quiet whilst its here, have a good night everyone.

UGH.. I have had the *****tiest night..

Isaac and Ethan were terrible.. Jacob had the biggest melt down ever and I didn't deal with it very well so that just made it worse Olivia wole at 6 and had her "desssert" shower with daddy and just went back to bed now but she has been ok...

Thanks Lauren on the piccie comment.. It was so nice to see her in them.. Dresses are so impractical though... but I will try and take more of her wearing them hehe.. Love the girly nonsense..

debating about her hair at the moment.. dO I get it trimmed just to neaten it up a touch as it is getting in her eyes or do I just leave it.. I don't want any particular style yet I want to see what it will do naturally.. agh boys are so easy when it comes to this sort of thing

yeah... love the day sleeps I get from her. She does still nap during the evening, but it's after about 10pm that she only wakes to feed and not play. We haven't had any midnight or 4am wake ups to play, it's always just feed and sleep again. So i can't complain toooooo much. hehe.

Lauren - neither Tallon or I have ever gotten sick from swimming. But then my nephew & niece had constant ear infections from swimming. Just have to see how you go I guess. I haven't started Kayla yet coz I'm still getting in with Tallon. Was hoping to start her next term, but I think I might leave it another term. I'll just swim with her normally at other times as the weather warms up, and start lessons later. TBH Tallon didn't get anything out of early swimming lessons, it was only as he got older that he really started to get into it, so I'm not too fussed about Kayla starting a bit later than he did.

Nic - I'm looking forward to Kayla's hair getting longer so it'll sit down a bit more! LOL. I should update my pic huh. hmm.. might do that now I'll try and find a 'hair' one hehehe.

ETA: doh, doesnt show as well when its shrunk for the ticker heh.

liz - one of the places i rang about swimming pretty much fobbed me off saying hes too young he doesnt need to, as long as he can have a shower and feel confident with water on his face theres no need to take them, it would only be for the mothers to be social thats it. I felt bit hurt cos i was really looking forward to it, and yes i am doing it to be social too, but for Ash as well as me. but this other place seems nice. Its just to get out and have some fun rather being at home all the time. If im not at home im out shopping and im sure one day he'll not want to do that with me any more..lol

pffft Swimming lessons can never start to early.. Whether it is done at home or not.. but I think its a good idea to get kids into the pool or ocean as soon as you can..

Good night here.. Feeling grumpy this morning though.. Simon appears moody which sends the whole house into a moody mood.. He is probably tired Try staying awake from 4:30 till late and dealing with Jacobs constant tantrums.. Grr. vent over.. Off to enjoy my day

Yeah I don't think its too early to start. But if you're inclined to swim anyway, paying for extra lessons is a waste at a very young age IMO. I did find the commitment to the lessons meant we actually did go swimming regularly tho. I'm surprised they turned you away tho.

We're off to a makeup lesson this morning actually hehe.. for Tallon. First time I'm leaving Kayla in the creche too Normally mum is available to watch her, but not today. Hopefully she won't get too upset.

    Best go. Bye!

Liz - Olivia's hair looks about the same as Kayla's. At mothers group yesterday someome suggested that I should cut it soon and I nearly choked - can't imagine cutting her hair yet, it is just too cute.

Lauren - we were thinking about starting swimming lessons next term but I think I am going ot leave it for now and just take her myself every now and then. We think she would like another term of Gymbaroo and I don't want to be paying for both.

Nic - I agree about dresses being impractical, but they are just so cute sometimes! I hardly ever put Olivia in dresses but when I do I feel the need to get the camera out!

Olivia had a good nigh here. Mummy didn't. Not sure why I couldn't sleep and then when I did get to sleep I had nightmares most of the night

    Hi all,
Omigod Liz how cute is Kayla's hair?? And Olivia's is pretty cute too Nic. i wouldn't cut it- let it grow a bit more and see how it flops naturally, then you'll know how to manage it so it looks neat, iykwim.

Lauren- we've been doing swimming lessons for about five months. Ty loves it and so do I The first palce we went was terrible- it was freezing in there and they didn't have showers you could use afterwards and Ty was getting a lot of colds (one that turned into bronchilitis). But we go to Kings now and it is awesome- very well set up for babies and very warm. Do you have a Kings near you? I know they are a franchise but not sure if they are in Vic. Just make sure where ever you go it is warm and then you have less chance of Ash being sick. Also, if you're looking to get out more and do the social mummy scene, does your local library have a lap sit program for babies? We go whenever Ty is awake for it (should be there today but he is napping) and it's great fun too- books and songs and rhymes and stuff.

Alicia- Nightmares suck, I'm amazed at how many more I've had since I had Ty. And lots of them are about him too

ETA- Happy nine months to my little chop

Is anyone else having screaming issues with their little one? Monique has started screaming (very loud) again all day and it's doing my head in. She has been impossible to get to sleep for the last two nights as well. How do you know when teeth are coming through? We have been blaming everything on teeth but she still doesn't have any and at bed time she gets really rosy hot cheeks.

I love Olivia's crawl Nic. Did she get a haircut or is her hair sitting flat now?

Sometimes they can just be real turds If I think its teeth I ofer a cup to chew on then infants friend as it helps ease teething pain as well (magic stuff) and if she is still cracking it I give panadol.. I give it about half hour after IF..

No to the haircut. It has just grown up so much it folds over itself I was debating a haircut this week but have now decided to just leave it be for a couple months. When I get the boys hair cuts I will ask the hairdressers advice. I don't want it cute but just the ends trimmed so they don't get in her eyes anymore

ugh to my night. I had a really sore throat before bed. and at 1am I woke all plegmed up (nice I know) so I went and slept in the lounge so my sneezing snorting and coughing wouldn't wake Olivia lol. I slept quite soundly till Missy woke at 4:30.. but yay she went back to sleep at 5 till 6:30 She also fell off my bed again *blush* she didn't cry. just tumbled of and went off crawling into my cupboard

awwww cute nic! go the comando! hehe

Tinsel - Some teeth do not even show signs there coming through, if your the lucky percentage, youll wake up one morning and they will be there, but i think the biggest signs of teeth have to be the nawing on EVERYTHING, crying with there hands in there mouth, and alot of drooling along with some ear pulling.
Ash still doesnt have teeth but has terrible movements, it can take months for them to come through, so could be possible she is teething, just taking there time.

Tinsel- Ty looked he was teething for ages, the red cheeks, drooling etc, bu then when the tootha actually came through, it only took two days to cut (from when I could feel the sharp bit under the gum to actually coming through.

Nic- Oops again I actually popped Ty on the floor in my room with the door shut and let him crawl around for half hour so i could sleep in a bit more. I felt bad when I got up but- it was so cold here this morning we had a frost, poor little bub must have been freezing.
