Wow again. Like Lauren said, when everyone's in, everyone's in!!

Lauren- Oooh you lucky thing enjoy your hotel, I am jealous

Nic- Poor bubba. Conjunctivits is so yucky. Do the other kids have it? Maybe they're passing it back and forth?

Teena- Bleeping barking dog, I have one of those too. Grrr.

Hoody- :hugs: for you. I work for the Starlight Foundation, in the Starlight Express Room at Westmead.

And once again, I can't remember what was said on the last page. Hope you are all doing well. Ty is still in pain. Just a warning for those of you about to try Nurofen- Ty had it yesterday and NEVER again, I don't know if it was the ibuprofen or the colours or the flavours, but it made him so hyperactive, he was up and not even tired for the next eight hours. Good thing he had it at midday!! I am staring to think maybe he will be sensitive to artificial colours and what not. We're going back to the paracetemol (AMcal brand- he throws up the actual Panadol brand stuff).

Well another lurker here like others I have been reading, but just not had time really to post.
Hello to everyone and welcome to the newbies. Thank you Bek for wondering where i was.
Anyway, Vicki is another gummy bub which I dont mind as I love that gummy smile babies have. She is crawling backwards and a little forwards and has started doing the funniest thing with her leg, she gets up on her toes and then kicks the leg in the air . Its a little draining atm the moment as she just wants to be on her feet and if I dont sit with her nearly all day long she grumbles something shocking. She let go of me yesterday for a second or 2 so Im sure that before christmas she'll be after Alex and he is going to be in sooooo much trouble then. The weekend was an absolute suckful one as the kids Dad moved out, it had been coming for a while and we are still being nice to each other, but sadly I am so relieved that I dont have to waste my energy on something that is a one way street. Alex has had a couple of bad nights and is playing up a bit but I expect this so am just giving him heaps of cuddles and reassurances and hopefully he will adjust to things.
Well I'll be in more often now as the kids both sleep for about 1.5hrs during the day and they are now both going to bed at the same time (6.30pm).
    Have a lovely day ladies

Morgan- Sorry to hear you had a tough weekend but if neither of you were i happy i bet you are relieved and i'm sure in a week or 2 Alex will have readjusted and be settled again.

Lori- Working for the starlight foundation must be so rewarding but so heartbreaking too i dont know how you do it but well done. Wow what a reaction from the nurofen i've never had a prob with my girls but hey use what works for you.

Teena- At least you are getting to see a specialist so you can have the problem sorted with the tear duct. Can i be in on the pressie thing too if its not too late.

aussienic- I'm sure you've tried but i find salt water often to bath the eye always helps if not maybe a trip to the drs to see if you can use anything else.

Trish- thanks for the welcome and its good to know i'm not the only one with a velcro bub at the minute. I hear you on the showering etc. DH caught DD1 trying to put a tampon in her knickers last night........I think i get followed to the toilet to often *sigh* I literally cant shower until the kids are in bed.

Kitten- hope your tomorrow was better.

Melz- Hows my Ryley boy hun? Commando crawling huh WTG.....still not moving here but i dont think we ever will haha.

Mumofmany- I hope you are feeling better the one thing i was never prepared for when having kids (not that i could be prepared but never thought of) was that no more sick days if you are unwell tough you have a job to do. I woke with a migraine last week and OMG i felt like i was dying. DH HAD to go to work and i had no one to call. Needless to say been unwell with lil ones is so hard so i hope you are on the mend. Do you use MSN? If so please add me as a friend i am sure i will be needing lots of cyber chatting whilst DH is away. Oh and i loved the ballon idea it sounds beautiful.

Sorry if i've missed anyone compared to the Nov thread this one is super busy and TBH i am only just keeping up

Well Molly is still a big grumble bum in the day. Thankfully our nights are still ok going down at 5.30-6 and sleeping through till about 5-6. DD1 is also driving me mad at the moment pushing boundaries but i'm sure its just the age- gotta love 2yo's. I have just enrolled her in DC starting one day a week as i am finding it so hard to food shop and to even do the house work but she has severe allergies and asthma so i am a little weary but i guess i can only try it. Well Its time to sort dinner out and i've rambled enough. Take care everyone.

Olivia's conjunctivitis comes and goes.. agh I wish I knew what it was.. It doesn't seem like proper C kwim??

Morgan: I hope Alex settles down for you..

Lori: I gave in once and gave Jacob a cough mixture and I specifically asked for one without a sedative and got exactly that.. OMG he was awake almost all night.. NEVER again!!

And with Teena.. If you have any specific thing you want or don't want to recieve for your bub let us know lol.. I am stumped.. I have a few ideas then I change my mind..

I don't know if I should get clothes or a book or a keepsake.. I am driving myself mental LOL

Morgan- Sorry that you had a rough weekend It sounds like you are at peace with it, so it must be the right thing. Love your new avatar

Hoody- Velcro baby here too. I can't put Ty down, and if I do mange to get him down he screams and starts crawling after me, looking at me with big 'pick-me-up' eyes.

Nic- I'm a bit stumped too but I do have one thing in mind as a maybe.

Okey dokey I'm off to finish doing all the stuff that needs doing *sigh* but dh is bringing home chinese so I don't have to cook

I have already bought my person a pressie. I saw something I thought they wouldn't have and just went for it. Sorry to my person if you do already have it, but it is impossible to know everything people have.

Spent the day out with a friend but was really bad company. I have a headache and Olivia is still grizzling a lot and is now a velcro baby as well :-/ At least I can see I am not the only one in that situation,

    Sleepy dust to all.

Hello to all mums and little ones.
aussienic-doesn`t feel great to have an early night,I also was in bed early, this winter has been terriable,I?m not the type of person to stay sick for long, but this flu is driving me batty, poor hubby moved to the lounge as he said i was snoring, lol,I said that`s because i can`t bloody breath.
trish-Try to be there for your friend if you can,the greiving process of loosing a child is the worst pain you could ever feel, but alcohol, won`t solve anything nor will it bring back her precious sonI went through this too, untill i was just making myself sick and couln`t get out of bed,but my hubby got me though our really tough times,we are soul mates.Just try to be there, hope you and your family are well.
Louise- have you tried saline-(salty water)in a bowl with warm water, some soft cotton balls, and swab each eye a couple of times, you can do this 4 or 5 times each day,it will clear in a week.my girlfriends kids have had this and they got foot and mouth from pre school,it`s never ending,ay!
Lori Rae-Hi ya,How long have you been working at the Children`s Hospital Westmead for? I`ve been going their ever since it opened,I?m there on Monday at the OPD,for my daughter,we know heaps of people there,as our sick little boy was in and out of there for 8 years, that was our second home.(his name was Brendan Thompson, have you heard of him?)we might meet up one day.The starlight room is fantastic,we use to go down there and play games and have a laugh,I love the clown doctor`s.he,he,he.Big kid at heart.
Hoody-Hello,how`s things going for you and your lovel girls? I will ask my hubby if he can set up msn,we don`t have that atm,as we are both studying, lol, that`s when I?m not on here. OK,going to finish off washing and do some ironing now, all the kids are in bed.yeah!!!!hot chocolate time now, keep well to all mums and bubs.

    Hello Lovely Ladies,

I have been lurking too with no time to post. My girls are keeping me on my toes.

OMG friends warned me that 3 year olds are worse than 2's....Miss Sara is either leaving the terrible 2's with a bang or entering 3's on a challenging note!!!!

Loren is really cute atm and very active..Thankfully she is sleeping through the night yes!!!!

Morgan - Hugs sweety. I hope you and the kids settle nicely. It sounds like it is onwards and upwards

    Welcome to the new mummies.

I am so happy to see that everyone has decided to post lately) Hugs to all

For the birthday gift I am going to try and find some thing that symbolises a First Birthday, it may be a book or photoframe. Some thing along those lines.

BTW - I have a job...heehee..One day per week cleaning!!! I know...sh@t of a job, but I took it on because I was really feeling trapped and DH is looking after Loren whilst I earn some cash for myself.

    Hi Everyone

Wow, lots of posts to get through. I am sad after reading the lost bubbies stories

Velcro baby here too. Monique was being so good but the last couple of days she has screamed the house down if I go into the other room but she doesn't think to crawl to where I am It takes ages to do anything.

Trish and Buzzie - good idea staying in a hotel.

Teena - I hope Olivia's eye gets better soon.

Bek - I have heard the 3's are bad too and seen it with my nieces. Nightmares!

MummyMelz - OMG I sure am on my toes with the crawling now. She pulled all the DVD's out and wants to touch everything on the TV stand so we are shopping for a new one with doors. She also loves the bin. At playgroup today she crawled over to the baby with the best toy and tried to take it away so we will be learning about sharing lol.

I have a glamorous poo question. Monique has been doing MASSIVE runny poos for nearly a week and lately is 2 or 3 times a day. We have had leakers the last couple of days they are so huge. Is this a teething thing or should I take her to the doctor? She hasn't been eating a whole lot at meal times and spat her veggies out today when she normally loves her veggies. Her milk and water drinks are normal.

quick check in. Don't ya hate when you are super sleepy and know you should have gone to bed hours earlier and then baby wakes up.. *sigh* Olivia woke at 10:30 I think it was and at 11 I lay down with her to get her back to sleep and fell asleep myself. I woke at 12:30 when Simon came to bed and got up tp pee and he put Livi back in her bed. Well I was awake then wasn't I.. And then She woke again at 4:30..

oh well I don't feel to tired.. and I get to go shopping today *yay* It's my birthday tomorrow and the boys are buying my pressie so I get to shop semi alone..

    Hi all,
Alicia- Must've been the day for headaches, I had a massive one too. I'm sure whatever you get will be lovely, and like you said, there is no way of knowing what everyone has got.

Nic- Happy Birthday for tomorrow *cheer* (just in case I don't log on tomorrow). Enjoy your shopping.

Tinsel- Can't help with the poo problem I'm afraid- we've got the oppisite. Not enough poos and surely too hard to be comfortable.

MoM- I've been at Westmead for three years now, so i probably missed Brendan by a little bit, but his name seems to ring a bell? Was he in Camperdown ward? I'm one of the Captain Starlights, but I'm only there on the weekends at the moment. I used to be the permanent Captain there six days a week (can you tell I miss it??). I love the clown doctors too- but, of course, the Captains are better

Poor ty is still in so much pain, his top tooth keeps coming through and going back in. Does it normally take this long? He cut his first bottom two so quick and easy I was hoping it would be that way with the top too Guess not.
I'm grocery shopping today then dh is off to Shark Park for the game tonight... I say go the sharks but I don't really care that much lol. At leats I'll kindof have the house to myself (if Ty decides to be a good boy and sleep for a bit).

sorry i cant remember what everyone said, brains BIG time frizzle atm, ash teething big time and he has a terrible cold, so its constant winging or crying.. so frustrating

Just wanted to say to mum of many.... u said on the other page you just cant get over your son after 4 years... my godness... i would spend a life time in sadness if i lost one of my babies!!!! i know ppl need to get on with life, but i dont think anyone should have to get over it... Big hugs your way!

Bekz- who cares about a job title.. it makes you happy thats all that matters.Even high profile jobs can be discusting too! like mine lol Nursings great and im proud to tell ppl that, but if they knew the stuff we had to clean behind the sceans... 'ooooo' - still makes me sick after 6 yrs of it LOL - the one day a week space would be just lovely!!

    Have a good day everyone..

I enjoyed my shopping.. We all ended up shopping together but wandering off from to time.. I bought Olivia the cutest little purple dress lol. Its so adorable..

She was absolutly brilliant shopping just sat in the pram or trolley and smiled at everyone.. had one quick feed before we left and slept the whole way home..

oh and she loves to dance.. and the boppier the music the better apparently lol.

I hope everyone else is having a lovely day

Bek: I wouldn't worry abut a job title. A job is a job and if it gets you a few extra dollars and few hours of peace then go for it Hell I would even collect rubbish bins for some peace oh maybe not cus I couldn't stand the smell lol.. Have occasionally thought of motel cleaning but I hate cleaning my own house so I think I would suck at that ahahahaha..

Lori: Sometimes it can take a while for teeth to pop through.. Do you rub his gums with your fingers at all? I know when Livi was teething I would do that and she just loved it. I am to scared to do that now.. She is a biter.. eeek!

No time for personals but i'm bound to bbl Went food shopping this morning and omg it was soooo hard. DD1 wet herself half way around and then had a big tantrum as she hates been wet. (shes been TT for months so i dont know what the issue was) Then because she was been so loud Molly got really upset and screamed too. By the time i got to the check outs i was almost in tears A lovely lady with two children of her own loaded all my shopping on the register as i obviously had my hands full and then a man came over to talk to DD1 to try and calm her down. As horrible as our morning was it was so nice to see so many caring ppl trying to help me. Now we are home and things arent much better *sigh* gonna be anothe one of those days. Dont know if its the kids or me iykwim i dont seem to be very patient and i think its coz i'm stressing about DH going away on Sun. I really dont know how the parters of FIFO's cope when they have young children.

Ok feeling a little less stressed after my vent. Back to the Chaotic house of Hoods.

Our day didnt get any better Both girls have temps so i guess thats why we have had it rough both must be coming down with something........I hope not but i guess only time will tell. DD1 told me her head hurts and she is quite hot. Shes also asthmatic and today for the 1st time since she started her new preventer 3 months ago she has needed ventalin. I'm hoping Molly's temp is just teething but somehow if DD1 is unwell too i doubt it.

On a brighter note Molly actually got up on all 4's today. Maybe she will crawl after all.
