Chrissie is good... crawling and standing everywhere...! Except lately she's been doing this screaming thing when i put her down for a sleep! ( she's always just slept when i put her to bed, no rocking or anything) and she's scream and scream until i pick her up! I know she's tired, but she just keeps sitting up on her bottom as soon as i put her in!! arg! doing my head in!!!
well, i'll try and get in more often!

Loren is walking!!!! she started yesterday, only 3 or 4 steps but she is doing it all the time now.

I cried watching the drowning report on ACA too. Mind you I cry at anything these days. especially when kids are involved.
kts - I have had quite a few birthday parties for DD1 and most of them I only invite cousins. When the kids are really young I think only a few kids is a good idea. I set out a food table for just the kids, we always have a bubble machine and I give the kids some bubble equipement, and we set up a mini swim pool for the kids to have a paddle. I just bought the Dora party cd it is fantastic. So we put that on and do some dancing.
I am such a cranky mummy atm, danm hormones. Not sure if I have moring sickness today or a bug..grrr
best go and spend some time with Sara, she's been at me all day

Well i am feeling slightly better today i can actually swallow to drink and eat now but i do still have a rotten headache. I am hoping i will feel better tonight as i am supposed to start my new job at 10pm and work through til 9am. Needless to say if i still feel this way it will be horrible and i cant exactly call in sick on my 1st day. I think the anti biotics are beginning to work.
Molly has been a good girl today and has been asleep for almost 2.5hrs already. I want her to have a good sleep but i would also like her to wake soon so i can nip to the shops b4 playgroup. DD1 is playing outside in the sand pit so i am just chilling on here. Gotta say i think our sandpit was the best thing we ever did both girls love it and it gets so much use.

Ash is finally down again.. gees this crankyness and tanties are driving me INSANE! :angry: I dont know what an earth has happend to him but hes gone from this incredible angel to a little satin spawn... LOL ok that was bit harsh,... but u get the idea :wall: pleeease just be a stage........!! :pray:

Thanks bekz - i need all the reasurance i can get, i was hugging mum yesterday and started crying cos i felt like a bad mum, sounds silly i know, but it was like he is an angry baby cos i havent done something right. :rolleyes:
I really thought the tanties wouldnt start till he was at least a toddler. Guess i got a nice surprise there.
Its just been a shock, because if you saw the video i put up of ash cracking himself laughing, it has been like that since the day he was born, to BANG everyday for a week hating everything im doing.
At the mothersgroup party he cried anytime another baby got to close to a toy he wanted and he pushed them away, and when ever i got a chance to sit, he would stand in one spot and just winge and pull fake crying faces till i came and got him and he sat with me all alone not around any other kids. - I get him out all the time, we go to playcentres and now swimming and he loves watching babies and kids, yet hes so unsocial if there anywhere near him!
He still loves his cuddles with me and occasional laugh at the dog.. but he's not my little boy he was a week ago... :(
sorry for the rant.. i hope this stuff is normal :(

Buzzie- With re to the tantrums dont be so hard on yourself :hug: with DD1 she started really early and was quite physical with other kids etc- she was and still can be horrible she used to hit bite and headbut :redface: I remember i used to wonder what i was doing wrong and i would leave places such as playgroup in tears. PPL would tell me she was a baby and not to stress but their looks would say it all iykwim. When they are so young and its so hard to explain to them the behaviour you want them to display etc so it makes it harder. I will tell you though from my exp it will just be phase and once he finishes some one elses bub will start. We only had a discussion at my DD1's mothers group last week about it as some one said they used to think my DD was a monster :rolleyes: but this lady is now going thru it and its HER child tantruming all the time and she doesnt know what to do. TBH i quite enjoy seeing all the other lil ones play up at mothers group now as its MY DD who is now an angel. Sounds a bit b!tchy but i nearly left my mothers group over it as we were all 1st time mums and i really did get made to feel like a leper iykwim. Just tell your self if its happening already hopefully by 2 he will have out grown it. He he well Molly is placid as so i think she will be my monster 2yo.

Lauren- Ty is one on Dec 10. I've had days when I've been in tears too- Ty quite often goes through little cranky spurts and chucks huge tanties. I know, it makes you feel awful. And this might sound awful, but it's a case of bad baby, not bad mummy ;) I'm sure it's just a stage they will grow out of (and possibly back into again!).
For those who saw my post on FB- I am a bit heartbroken- I've made the desicion to leave my job. I didn't want to post it on FB coz I'm telling my boss tomorrow, and didn't want him to hear it on FB first!
It's jsut gotten a bit too hard to get there every weekend, it is a lot of travel time, and as dh pointed out, it takes away from our time as a family. I haven't been able to make it to the meetings during the week so i don't really know what's going on. Best to leave now, i think, while I'm still having fun and still good at what I do.
So I'm doing my next two weekends and that's it. Those in Sydney will have to watch for me on the news on the 29th, I'm doing the Darlign Harbour Xmas tree lighting and they usually have it on the news. Will be my last big hurrah as Captain Starlight- the best job in the world, I don't think I'll ever find another like it.

Thanks Nic- as dh keeps saying, I do have a better job now- I'm a mum :) I just have to keep reminding myself of that too!

Lori - I know exactly what u mean about leaving a job u love! I couldnt be happier to be a mum now, but it certainly is sad worring about ever finding another job u like....i wish i got to see u on tv. is it only sydney viewers??
Well im off to see my GP today.. i cant take these headaches anymore, im starting to think there becoming migranes cos my eyes are so sore they feel like there gonna pop out my head! I want drugs, but im not going to take them if they are going to go through to Ash. :( Ill just keep suffereing quietly.. lol

LoriRae - I know how you feel I too had to resign from my career as my boss wouldn't approve leave without pay. I do worry that all those years of study will go to waste adn when I want to get back into that career I will be a washed up has been.
BUT once I realised I will never be able to get back my daughters early years the weight lifted from my shoulders and I just know it will be alright. We have all the usual bill and mortgage payments as most people have so I have taken a part time job to help with those and give me some socialising time too.
Each day I realise more and more what a special gift we have all been blessed with and I am just so grateful.
I wish some times that we all weren't so hard on ourselves as we are all doing wonderful jobs with our littlies. And again, I am in and out of here but a BIG thank you for everyones support and even just to beable to read comments makes me feel like I am not alone.
Nic - Glad you had a great time with your mum.
Lori - Huge hugs. It is so hard to give up some thing you love.
Buzzie - Goodluck with the doctor. If they won't hlep maybe try a chiropractor, your neck could be the problem. BTW I was close to tears yesterday twice!!! Miss Sara had attitude and Loren was teething. I just felt like a hopeless mummy, nothing I did made either of them happy.
Just got back from my GP - yay nurofen is all good!! woot.. She said 2 1/2weeks is too long for a headache and sending me off for CT scan tomorrow..
bekz - she said one type of headache you get from sore necks too. There were like 5 different main types. said mine sounded like a tention headache but just lasting too long. Asked if i had been stressed... hmmmmmm define stress.. does a screaming baby 24-7 count lol - unfortunatly the headache came before then so maybe not.
The ride home was so traumatising.. :( poor Ashie was sooo tired and he just fought it and screammmmmed all the way home, so bad his whole body was shaking, and i put my hand on him trying to calm him down and both his hands were trying to pull me so he could come out. and i was shhooshing and rubbing his hands that held on SO tight and he slowing cried less and less and if i stopped rubbing and shoooshing he started crying (you know that really sad wimper) so he held my hand all the way home... poor little thing!! i hate long drives!!! :(

Buzzie - Wow sorry to hear about your traumatic drive home. Surely Ash must be teething or going through a major developemental period. If you have tention headaches go and get yourself a really good massage.

Well Olivia is standing at my feet screaming *sigh* SSDD.
getting so damn fed up with her and her nonsense at sleep time. She either goes to sleep like a dream or does this.. Or wakes up half the night..
Anyways.. tomorrow is our 13 year anniversary :D nothing planned.. but we will go out for lunch on thursday for Olivia's birthday .. oh and I did her shirt again.. Will upload the pics soon.. I personally think it looks great ;)
Hi all i am going to be quick i as i have lots to do and i am knackered. I jsut posted in my old baby buddies thread as a few ppl have popped back in over the last week and i was going to do a big post here too but my eyes are killing me so i'm gonna cheat and post what i'd written in there for you girls to read in here too, mind you i post in hear often so it may appear a bit of a ramble iykwim but i have told of my 1st shift at work etc.
nic- i am off to check your FB pics out qucikly b4 i get off comp.
buzzie- hope you feel better soon and those drives just suck i often have it where both my girls are screaming and its heartbreaking when you know you just need to keep driving to get them home to bed.

As for us we are doing well i am still not feeling 100% but i am def on the mend. Things with DH and I are getting back on track we just need to work on been a couple iykwim instead of just mum and dad or SAHM and Breadwinner iykwim. I actually started work last night and i really enjoyed it. For now i am only doing 4 shifts a fortnight and DH will be looking after the girls so no need to put them in DC which is nice as it would be sooooo $$$ if i had to put them both in. I am a Carer for a young couple in their late 20's who have Muscular Distrophy. I was a little worried about what the job would entail but they get a fair bit of help from the Silver Chain etc so its not too bad- no showering/bathing help needed from me etc. They are both Wheelchair bound and require assistance with most household chores etc. They seem to be a lovely couple and very good to their staff. Its not what i want to do forever but for now its nice iykwim. I did a night shift last night from 10pm til 9am this morning so expected to be very tired today but TBH i think i had it easier than DH. Molly is teething really bad and had him up quite a bit hehe and then DD1 got him up at 5am. Oh its tooth no. 7 that we are waiting for.
Well Molly is doing really well still a big lazy bones and not pulling herself up though she is trying so i think she is still a while off walking. Hey she didnt crawl til 11 months so i cant expect her to just get up iykwim. She is talking lots though following in the foot steps of her sister as a chatter box. New words this week are gone and up Bath time is her favorite time of day and i must say i am enjoying it too myself now that she and DD1 can play quite nicely in the bath and i just have to watch and supervise instead of trying to hold on to her and getting drenched doing so.
Well off to tidy up my house resembles a pig sty.

Sorry, I have been reading but now feeling tired. I have been feeling so crappy today. General sickness all day and Monique was screaming the house down pretty much all day (I think her second bottom tooth is coming through). Was not a good day and I think I'll be off to bed soon.

Not much happening here. It's raining and yuk. I am waiting for dh to get home so I can do the hour and a half trek into my office to resign. I'm thinking I should take a resigntaion letter but our printer is not hooked up, so I'll have to email it in later :D

Ash has been a much better boy, after coming home yesterday i turned the lappy off and just played and cuddled with him and he gave LOTs of laughs. it was so nice to hear that again, so i have made a new rule, no computer unless hes asleep and turn off when hes up.
I think now as hes older his demanding more attention and i wasnt giving enough :(
Oh well. hes got me 100% now!!

<Missy moo is napping on my lap./ She seems extra sleepy today :/ But then she slept pretty well last night so is still catching up..
When she woke last night (for the 3rd time) I hadn't yet fallen asleep so I went and lay next to her cot and put my hand thru the cot rails and had it just sitting on her. I woke some hours later with an extremly numb arm lol but a very much asleep baby
She woke at 4:30 and came into bed with me. Fed and was asleep again by 5 till 6:30. I was up at 5 though cus Jacob woke up. Simon would have got up but Olivia was actually cuddled up with him for a change..
Anyways I can't believe she is napping for the 2nd time.. Off to google

Kmart or Big W.. one of those places.. and yeh instructions on there.. all I do is place a towel down on the bench then the shirt (or whatever you use) then a piece of printer paper on the top..
the instructions go on about so much thickness of newspaper but a few pieces of priner paper has worked fine for me. then press down.. It tells you how to do that bit.. :D Enjoy.. I look forward to seeing the end product

Hi girls, you lot are so busy i am having trouble keeping up! Never to mind i think i am just really slow. I went back to work 2 weeks ago now and have been flat out ever since. It is like i dont get much me time at the moment. Hoping that changes a bit once we get in the swing of things. I now have all charlie's birthday presents wrapped up cant believe he will be 3 in under a month! I have my present to post just gotta get to the post office - i hope it arrives in time sorry in advance if it doesnt.

omg both of my girls are asleep at the same time in the middle of the day :shhh: hehe it doesnt happen often as DD1 no longer has day sleeps unless she falls asleep on the couch but last night she woke a few times so today has been really tired. I am sitting here wishing i could go to the gym. Just feeling frumpy etc today so i am feeling really motivated to do something but its so hard with the girls. The creche at the gym closes at 1pm and TBH i think its so much work to get organised to go for an hour its hardly worth it iykwim. I cant even just go for a walk around the block as DD1 wont sit in a pram (so i sold my P&T) so i only have the stroller so if we do walk its more of a me dragging DD1 then carrying her etc. I would love to go to the evening classes but NEVER know when DH will be home. I am motivated but it seems so hard to find the time to have that hour to myself to do something. Anyone else have this prob or idea's on what i can do. Remember i have a 2.5yo and 1yo and generally DD1 doesnt sleep.
Molly had me up a couple of times last night and so did DD1 so i am pretty tired today. I am going to drop them off at my sisters when they wake so i can go and do some much needed food shopping, mind you will have to watch what i spend as DH's work eftpos Machine is playing up and our bank is yet to replace it so we have all business expenses coming out of the acc and no funds going in so until it gets fixed we have a ridiculous amount of $$ owing to us from customers and i have to watch what we spend until we can be paid by everyone. Its really frustrating as we have thousands owing to us but because the bank is slow we feel like we are struggling iykwim.

Hoody - I know what you mean. Since I've been on leave without pay from work, DH has put me on an allowance so we don't eat into our savings (for a house) and I'm finding it hard to not blow it in one week:doh: I get carried away in the supermarket esp if I'm hungry. What a bummer you can't get the money owed to you now.

Monique was a screamer again today and she is so hard to get down for her day sleeps where normally I can put her down and she goes straight to sleep. It can take hours the last couple of days. I'm feeling much better than yesterday but the sickness comes and goes. I'm so glad I'm not at work during the 1st trimester cos I don't know how I would handle being sleep deprived from Monique and then queasy all day.
I best be off to bed. Catch you tomorrow.

Big Woo Hoo here - we actually got a full nights sleep!!!!!! :leap: Yesterday I thought perhaps she needs more food during the day to help her sleep through so I gave her cereal with mango for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch followed with watermelon until she didn't want anymore, she had yoghurt for afternoon tea, meat and veg for dinner, followed by a banana (the first time she has eaten one) just before bed. Plus she had 3 bottles. It seemed to help the sleeping through (she slept for 12.5 hours!). How much do other bubs eat? I dont think I gave her too much as as soon as she wanted to stop eating we stopped.

OK I checked the Fed Square website, it is called Cafe Chinotto. The website is easy to find and check out the map on if anyone wants to see where to come :D
Alicia WTG on the full nights sleep :) Most days for breaky Molly will have cereal or toast followed by a yoghurt, Morn tea if she is up- fruit or sultanas or something similar, Lunch either s/which or pasta such as left over spag bol, Dinner meat and veg/pasta or on a lazy day just finger foods such as toast, steamed veg etc etc. She will often have a custard, jelly or yoghurt after dinner too and has 3 bottles in a 24 hr period and she sleeps from 5.30pm-7am most nights. However she has always been a good sleep and only wakes if she is teething or unwell.
Had a good night last night and so far a good morning too. Went to the shops with my sisters and Kmart have 40% off clothes so did a bit of shopping. They had really nice singlet and undie sets from size 2 reduced to $3 then take your 40% off. Got some dora and diego ones for my DD1 and a couple of friends kids.
Well i am off to the gym tonight :dance: and i cant wait. I really am having a "i wanna get fit and healthy" phaze but have to wonder how long it will last lol. Then i am going to work another night shift so will be a tired mama again tomo but dd1 goes to DC tomo so just Molly and i to worry about.
