Lauren, I feel for you and hope the sleep training works soon. I have to do the same for Monique when I set up her toddler bed to get her out of mine before the baby arrives. There's going to be tears!
Hang in there hun.
 I would be ready to quit to.. Do you have anyone there who can support you? I know I wasn't able to do it alone.. I am way to soft.. I usually have Simon telling me she is ok.. and reminding me that her cries aren't that bad..
Maybe Asher needs you to go super slow.. slowly leave his room or put a matress on the floor and pretend to go to sleep to.. Lay right next to his cot and hold his hands through the gaps..
Well I feel like I am getting the flu Simon is just getting over.. I have popped panadol and am all vicksed up.. I don't feel unwell (yet) just a bit blergh.. Lucky I knew what the first symtoms were so have got on top it right away.. these late nights I have been having and super early mornings are really not helping either lol...
i am so excited.. Last Day of school tomorrow yayayaya. I have all my boys home with me.. I love not having to do the whole school routine..
OK girls i am sorry i haven't been around *hangs head in shame* I have been so busy and am really struggling with finding any kind of balance since starting work. Although i am only working PT it more full on than i anticipated. I am doing 4 days until i start tafe and i leave home at 7.30am and don't return til after 6pm so i am exhausted all the time. This week i have taken a bit of a step back as i think i am burning myself out. Molly has been really unwell for the last 2 wks and so has DD1. TBH we all have had this cold/flu thing. I don't remember the last time i had a full nights sleep :( Both girls have had croup and have had a trip to hosy over the weekend.
On a good note Molly is toddling everywhere and her foot seems to be improving each day although she still has a slight limp. I am starting to believe the specialists that by the time she is 2 it shouldn't be noticeable. So proud of my lil munchkin.
Her first week of DC went really well but the last 2 have been horrendous. I just don't know what to do anymore. I am really enjoying work and think i am a better mummy for it. (meaning the time i spend at home is more enjoyable and i am nicer to be around-more patient etc) Today has thrown me and i am ready to pull my girls out of their centre to look for somewhere else but don't know if i am over reacting. What do you think? Molly has been very hard work as of late not just at DC at home too. She is super clingy and very unsettled in general. Well today when i went to pick her up she had a fat lip that was cut. I was given an incident report to sign that made my blood boil. It saidNow as i said i may be over reacting but to me this says "Molly always cries so, we don't know what happened and we don't care" I am going to go and see the coordinator tomorrow but don't really know what to say. I know she is unsettled i know she cries ALOT but still surely they can tell the difference between a whinge cry and a I'm hurt cry. And if she was unsettled and was crying why didn't someone see to her or why wasn't she been watched maybe then they would have known how it happened. Her shirt was COVERED in blood.:
"As Molly cries consistently all day every day it is unknown how the incident occurred. We do not know if she was hurt by another child or had a fall as we did not know she had been hurt until we noticed the abrasion and blood"
Ok enough ranting from me. Sorry for lack of personals i havent even read the last few pages girls but will try and catch up tomo and come back to posting. everyone
omg Hoddy that awful!! i would definatly say something. that is just unacceptable! I had to sign an incident report ash as fell over pushing a chair, but they also called me the second he did it and said he was fine but it was just protocol especially when its an accident around the head. And he was perfectly fine.
Im sorry she cries alot, that must be so hard!
Im sure she will settle at some stage... can take a while for some munchkins! hang in there. i have considered other places, but there are the staff that are just awesome then the couple i really dont like that make it hard for me!
Im going to have a word today to the boss at ABC, i dont think there changing ashs nappy often enough, i have never seen him with such bad nappy rash and NO nappies were taken out of his bag that i paked him yesterday. I know they keep a stash of spair, but surely not enough to last a whole day considering i usually only pack 5-6. twice this last week i have picked him up with a pooy nappy! wasnt happy!
As for the wanting to packup and not work.. i have days i do the exact thing so many times but it is on days i am feeling s****y and then i will have a great day and go, what the hell was i thinking, i love my job! lol so i think its normal to have those thoughts.
Nic - i dont really have anyone to help me as mum is in her room and i dont want to wake her anyway. but im so used to doing everything on my own, it doesnt seem natural for me to ask for help iykwim.
Well last night was soooooo much better...
Ash went down at 8.30 and didnt wake till 10.25 and only woke a total of 5 times!!
Not including twice and started to winge and wiggle but then went quiet and i was like wat the.... he had gone back to sleep!! woooot! he was up at 7.15 and ready to run a marathon, but i admit, wen he woke up i did pick him up and give him booby, but he went straight back to sleep and straight back down in the cot - which is such a blessing for me as since the day he was born never stayed in a cot!
So maybe at this stage just getting used to a cot and sleeping alone im happy to breastfeed him (5 times compared to 15 aint bad!)
and then the next step is no boobies just cuddles. - Like u said nic, just taking it slowly for him.
Well got another unit inspection today.. across the road from here LOL
oh and just another quick update... spoke to rob yesterday and said ok wats going on, are we in a relationship or wat.. and he said (cut short as it was about 20 sms - i know i hate talking on the phone) says we are together persay.. we arent 'seeing' any one else and he wants to take it slow because yes fair enough we have known each other for 10years, technically we only have ever been a real couple in high school for 2 months before i cheated on him and we broke up.. (again i know.. :( ) but he said we had been all over the place and things have been messy between us for a while now, so he wants to just settle down and take things slow and yes he has lots of feelings for me - TBH - im reading it going 'commitment issues' all over it... anyways then he goes, but when we get back together i want to get married first before having more kids.. LOL ok i think that sealed the deal for me... so u saying yes we are together but i dont want a boyfriend girlfriend title... ritey o then! i know it sounds like hes a waste of time and an idiot. but i just love being with him so much it seriously makes me think if im the idiot... oh well.. i still want more babies from him cos he makes damn cute ones!! PML
take care and hello to everyone :D
Asher saying his ABC's soo cute!

we had a lovely weekend so far. yesterday robs family were up camping and we decided to go visit them for the day and it was so fantastic, so we decided to go back up there next time with our tent! cant wait. I stayed at robs the night which was good and bad with ash. because he fell asleep when we were at the park and slept all the way home he woke as we got in side the house and was as energetic as! wouldnt go to bed till about 1 wen rob and i were passed out dead in bed and ash was jumping around and banged his head on the bed and screamed and i fed him and he passed out for the night till about 6-7ish!! OMG!! never slept that long before!!! but we were both tired as today and had my niece birthday lunch which was so nice. and rob went home and im sooo lonely now lol cant believe i miss him already.. has been the best weekend!!!!!
hope everyones having a great day adn not too sick of choccies!!
Morning all,
Hope everyone has been having a good Easter Weekend,it`s been good at our place, just having a quiet one at home! The kids stuffed their faces yesty....lol,i think they are sick of Chocolate by now.
Alicia-Happy Easter!
Lauren- I?m so happy that you & Ash have been having some fun with Rob & the Family.
I saw your pics on F/book,there lovely,hun.
Well,i suppose i better go do some cleaning up now,our house is like a bomb has hit it...& we have a couple of friends coming over this afternoon.
Ok,catch you all later...;)
ohh quiet in here..
susan, stuff my face too hehe.. felt so yuk yesterday. Mind u i kinda was eating ashs eggs for him, he got way too many!! :D
Ash has been doing so well sleeping in his cot, still waking quite a bit tho. i thought i would try to let him cry a little and i put him down and he screamed for a bit so i picked him up and he fell asleep and i thought great hes getting tired, put him back down and he of course woke again, so i turned my back and let him cry, all of a sudden i heard bang and his toys stated playing.. i forgot to put the side of the cot up and he fell out :( :( :( luckily he landed on his teddies sitting on his fold out sofa! thankgod! but i felt sooo horrible! he was ok tho.
The unit i saw was sooooooo crapola! so im onto another one now. but its 3 bed so i hope its decent enough .. this is going to take forever!!!
Have a good day everyone... im at work today but on reception for the morning so hoping it will stay quiet now the phones have finally stopped... Got some big bone and gum grafting surgerys this arvo!! yay
Good almost Afternoon Ladies.
I am so sleepy today.. Well I wasn't till I sat down to feed olivia then i started falling asleep myself
Lunch is over with.. Miss Livi down for her nap.. now to get the boys to be quiet so I can get a little rest..
Lauren: Olivia has fallen out of bed the cot off the couch.. I feel bad each time yet she seems to continue to do it.. I felt so horrible when she fell out of her cot though. but she was fine and didn't even cry.
I too felt sick yesterday from a little to much choccy.. I haven't even touched any today haha. Come to think of it neither have the kids they haven't even asked  I did see them raiding the fruit this morning though :)
Well off to do something else
Hi Ya
It has been a while since I posted. We had a good easter and am just about over chocolate. The worst thing was that it gives me awful heartburn.
Monique has moved into her toddler bed but still comes into my bed in the wee hours of the night when she wakes up crying. I'm hopeful that she will sleep all the way through soon. She is moving to the other tiny tot room at childcare where the bigger kids are and she loves it. They have more stimulation in that room but they still get to play together outside.
I freaked myself out the other day counting the actual working days I have left. It is only 25 and I have so much to do!
Lauren - I love house hunting but it is frustrating when you can't find the right one. We were thinking of renting a 3 beddie but rent is so blooming expensive so will stay put for a bit where we are paying pretty good rent compared to others.
Ash is doing so well in his cot. Reading your other posts, it sounds like you are in lurrrve. Good for you. You deserve it.
MoM - how are you? Had a tooth pulled out I saw. I had a wisdom out a few years ago and wasn't a happy chappy. Hope it gets better soon.
Nic - Sounds like you had a nice relaxing day.
Nic - good on the kiddies for going for fruit! i dont blame them... mind you after beign sick yesterday i did eat a wombat shaped egg and a round one when i came home from work LOL mmm was so good!
Tinsel - wow been ages. glad to hear all is well. Ash went the other way in child are, started off with the toddler and loved it then went into babies room once they had enough babies.. :( wasnt happy but he loves the room leader so is all good and he enjoys it, gets to see the bigger kids in the after noon tho when they mix everyone up.
Ash is zonked after a MASSIVE tantie and i decided i needed some me time instead of going to bed just yet so playing on the lappy. Yay day off tomorrow so need it, but im so broke too.. so many days off.. oh well :( shouldnt complain.
night all.
Hey Tinsel.. Sounds like life is treating you well
I am up with a little girl who has a sore bottom.. She has a nasty nappy rash and obviously weeing is causing her some pain.. Luckil my neighbour had some paw paw cream cus mine went in the car with Simon to work so I borrowed hers for the night.. poor darling .. I don't know whats causing it but its from her poos and they smell so acidy when she does one..
I hope she goes back to sleep soon though cus I am getting sleepy
how does the pawpaw work for u nic?? i know some ppl love it, but i havent been game enough to try it yet.
Ashs nappy rash has been the worst i have ever seen the last couple weeks. and i complained to the ABC coordinator for not changing him enough and they all apologised and are lathering sudocreme on him now. First thing i do when he gets home is give him a nice warm bath and he loves it!! getting a little better now they change him more often, his normal room leader was very angry at the other staff for letting it get that bad!! GRRHH
As soon as i move house ill decide where and when to move him too, no point just yet, i could end up anywhere.
I kept putting off buying the PP cream even though lots on here said it was great but I bit the bullet one day and now I love it.. I still use my amolin cream but think the PP stuff is heaps better.. bloomin expensive though but lasts so probably works out the same in the long run
I just uploaded some new pics to Facebook as well
Hi ladies,
Lauren- hope you find a nice place soon for you and Ash...at least your rents aern`t as bad as up here in Sydney. Good luck with finding something nice.
Kieren has been grizzley,i think there are more teeth coming up,and he has bad runny poo,for days now,but i swear by good old fashion (Corn Flour)he will not let me rub cream on his sore bottom,so i just use the corn flour, sprinkle it on don`t have to touch him.
Same with tiger in Day Care...,DH,was angry with them last week,as when he was picked up in the afternoon,he was running around in crappy pull-up`s,DH,was not impressed.
Nic-how are you all, hope Olivia stops with the runnies too,ive been through so many nappies the last week,it`s un believable.
how`s the kiddies enjying the school holiday?
Kellie-hi how`s the heartburn going...lol,god it`s a terriablr feeling ay! You and Bek,have both had it bad.....i wonder if your bub`s are going to have a head full of hair, mine did...loland i hd bad heart burn too,Rennie tablets were my best friends at home and in my handbag...
Well you don`t have long now until you finish work...then you can rest and put your feet up....lol.
I too, have been a naughty Mum and foregot to put the cot sides up...Tiger fell out of his,but thankfuly he didn1t hurt himself either it just gave him a big fright.
Well,I had another Wisdom tooth pulled yesty...it`s killing me,got a bad ear ache to go with it,so DH,has let me rest and sleep, got some pain killers from my Doctor`s so they zonk me out.I feel better after all the rest though,I think us Mum`s tend not to look after ourselves very well, iam feeling run down.
I listed most of Kieren`s baby things on E-Bay last week, and sold it all, felt sad!
so now iam going to buy him a toddler bed, once i get the cash in.
Hi to everyone else....hope all mum`s and bub`s are doing well.:grouphug:
MoM - How you travelling today? It must be sad to sell off your baby stuff. I know I'll be doing this soon:( Although I would lurve to clear out some cupboards.
Buzzie - I hope you find a place to live soon.
Nic - How are your injuries?
I am a pawpaw onintment user from way back, highly recommend it.
Miss Loren has put her bottom teeth through her lip 3 times in the last week. Each time I have just turned my head and she has fallen over or off the couch..Man this kid is clumsy. She has also decided that her new bed time is 9pm. I put her to bed at 7.30 and she flops about kicking her cot and shaking the rails until she finally drops. She is really clingy atm and daycare drop offs haven't improved but apparently she is better during the day. I am in 2 minds as to leave her or pull her out.
Hi to all hope you are all well
Well we are having tantrums galore here! Olivia is not too loud with her yelling but she has started to hit out a lot and throw things (and she has a really good arm on her!). We keep saying 'NO' when she does it and if she hits us when we are holding her, then putting her straight down, but seriously it seems to be getting worse. I really hope this is just the latest phase and she will grow out of it :crossfingers:
Sorry I have read the other posts but don't feel up to concentrating today. DH and I had a big fight this morning so I am feeling really blah. I do hope everyine is doing well though.
Hugs Alicia. Loren is not hitting but she has started throwing things/herself on the floor and screaming when she doesn't get her own way or some thing won't work etc. We had a whole day of it today...I was over it and could wait to get her to bed. I hope you make up with your DH
Hello all,
Bek- Hi sounds like we all need to pack up & have a girly weekend away, from DH`s & kiddies! It`s funny we all seem to have one really clumsy kid in the family....Our Tiger,is the most clumsy kid going...just doesn`t look where he`s going, then sooks when something happens.I?m seroiuly thinking of pulling him out of DC,too. I can`t believe his Tantrums & nautghtyness has got really bad.....& I?m not coping with him at all,he screams, stamps his feet....made himself turn blue until he couldn`t breath again....so i smacked him on his nappy this time....he`s pushing me way too far.My other kids were never this bad!!!
Hope your girls coughs clear soon for you Bek,you need your rest, hugs.
Alicia- Sorry your not having such a good day hun, hope things are better between you & DH,tomorrow, god only know`s the last month me & DH have been at each other`s throats & my Eldest son has been in trouble at school & I now have to pay for a Tutor to catch up in Math`s,my DH is so Pi--ed off, atm. I try to keep out of his way,& I hate school holidays.....kids always complaining to me,makes DH,even worse,as his work is slow atm....he`s on edge too.
Kieren sometimes smacks me in the face & I have to hold his arms or hands and yell no,don`t do that to Mummy,Yeah right!! as if he listens....I have`nt picked him up much this week,as my Wisdom Tooth was pulled out and my face is still sore.
I wish i could just pack up & go away for about a week,no kids at all!!
I had a lazy day at home today...did all the washing, folding & changed the kids Doona cover`s for them & added winter blankets to our beds,I woke up freezing this morning.
Well,Iam off to bed a little earlly tonight, please take care all! Hugs everyone.;)
Susan - Hugs sweets, at least I don't have a sore tooth to contend with and school holidays. Not long to go and they'll be back there. I spoke with Loren's daycare teacher on Friday and she says that Loren is only happy if she has a carer with her all the time. They are having to carry her around alot and she is really intimidated by the older toddlers in her group. She is the youngest and most of the others are 2 years plus. I am questioning the worth of the couple of days she is in because I drop her at 9am and pick her up at 2.30/3pm and pay a fortune. I really don't relax on those days as I run around the shops etc and I only find the time useful when I have a doctors/middy apt. However, when bub comes maybe I'll need the time with just me and bub or will Loren get worse with seperation issues??? If I pull her out I'll look at returning her next year when she is 2....Decisions, decisions..Sorry for the long post
Bek,I?m in two minds atm...DH wants to give the DC,Centre notice tomorrow....not sure if this is going to help with Tiger`s behaviour, but we have both noticed he has got worse since starting DC,my other kids didn`t start until they were three, not sure if he`s just a little too young & can`t cope.....not sure the teacher`s tell me he has a good time, but who really know`s....I think sometimes, some centres just worry about filling their placements, iykwim.
We were just getting Tiger to share....teaching him to be nice to his sister & young brother kieren.....since starting DC..I?m back to square one...hopeless & stressing me out!! My other kids had a 3 year gap..then a 5 year gap..I?m not use to these two being so close & half killing each other,I?m so doing my head in.... :wall:
I think if Loren is doing ok...and you don`t have too many drama`s, I would leave her in DC....you might just need that time out for you & the new bub,you know what`s it`s like trying to get a routine set for new borns when you have too many interuptions, god I look back & really don`t know how i did it...so Friggin crazy....& my AF,is late....DH,thinks it`s funny, but I?m not laughing, maybe it`s stress!!!
Hope you & the girls are feeling better,Bek....long post here too, hun!!! :boohoo:
Full of complaint today......
Hope everyone is having a better day....
Susan - Can you talk to the daycare about addressing Tiger's behaviour? Maybe ask them to focus on sharing etc. I know the centre my kids go to will do that and they report back to me with things I've discussed. We had major listening issues with Sara and they really helped me out. I hope your AF turns up soon!!! My DH thinks I should persist with daycare but I don't want Loren being upset for 2 days per week for the sake of a few hours of time out for me. I think I'll give her another month and if she still hasn't settled I'll pull her out until she is 2.2.5.
Just a quickie the QLD girls are organising a BIG BB meet up in august... anyone thinking of going? its the day i fly back from my holiday but i will go there before i leave.. Bekz if u wanted to catch up maybe we could there..?
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...st-2009-a.html
Buzzie - I was thinking of going. I see it is a Saturday so I could leave 2 kids with DH and just take the bub. Or DH could come with...he'll be real excited about that!!!!
LOL - yeh i will be dragging rob! But he has no choice in the matter - im not going to tell him till we get there. PML
Hello....all.
It`s quiet here today.....not much happening at my place, went to the Target Sale today, bought a few more pairs of Tracky pants for the boys & DD got some new PJ`S.:D
Looks like we all might be getting the sniffles again...Grrrr....never ends!
It`s been wet & windy here, got our Winter clothes out now......
Hope everyone is Ok,.......not many people posting lately...... Talk soon.
Hiya Susan. Its been that way lately hasn't it.. I find I don't have much patience for the forums lately.. nothing in particular just me not bieng bothered I guess :( I did have mum here for the last 12 days as well.
We are starting to get our night winter gear out. Days are still hot enough.. I had the Ac on for Livi's sleep today. Night time I started wearing my flannies lol.. I don't think it is really cold enough for them but I bought them the other day and they are just so comfy.. Bright Orange with Pink dots hahaha.. Simon says I look like I am a prisoner
Well a certain princess is yelling at me for some reason or another  better go when I am called ;)
Hi all,
Well DH and I made up Saturday night so all is good again. He just said a couple of stupid things that made me so upset and angry and I lost it  Really he doesn't think at all before he says things.
Some of you saw my FB update about Olivia's new pets but for those who didn't, we bought Olivia 3 goldfish on Friday. I can not tell you how much she LOVES these fish! They are the first thing she goes to after getting up (in the morning or after a nap), the first place she goes after walking in the front door and now she wants to eat with the highchair next to the fish tank  Seriously she is constantly blowing the fish kisses and talking away to them. It is very cute but I hate to think how she will be if they die.
Olivia has stopped the clingy bedtime thing thank goodness and we are back to a quick bedtime at about 8pm. It took a few weeks of being quite tough with her but it was worth it, I couldn't have stood having to sit in her bedroom every night to get her to sleep. Also 2 of her molars broke through last week so the waking during the night with a sore mouth is starting to ease off a bit again.
Hmmm... not much other news... I hope everyone is doing well, I miss reading all your news :)
Hi Alicia.. :)
thats so adorable about the goldfish.. Our little bubs are not babies anymore are they
Ok here is an Olivia update...
She has heaps of new words.. "let go" Sore foooooot" ba (bath) MY BIKE (she yells those words) cat gog (dog) gnigh (goodnight) MEEEE (another she yells lol) shoooooes boys she attempts to say school.
She yells for each boy as she wants them.. screams very loudly if she doesn't get her own way.. Oh god we laugh.. The look on her face is absolutly priceless and the ear piercing scream that follows just adds humour to the situation.. I will be a mean mummy and try capture it on video..
She is starting to know certain things. Like at the time Simon is due home she runs to the door and back to me and hold her hands up and says Daddy Daddy Daddy over and over. nd then we have to go outside and wait for him.. oh and we have been singing the When your happy and you know it song.. when we get to clap your hands I don't say anything and she just starts clapping.. She pretends to cry when you get to the cry part.. and now when you say Livi go to sleep.. She just closes her eyes no matter whats shes doing. Its really funny
Gosh there are just so many things she does. Can climb onto our couches with nothing to help her anymore. Likes to rinse her own tooth brush out..
OH and She did 2 wees on the toilet. I am just familirising her with the toilet and before Bath i pop her on and she did 2 wees :D The first time she ad no idea why we were jumping around all excited but the next time she clapped and looked very pleased with herself indeed :)
Well thats enough about us i guess. Hope everyone is having a nice evening
Nic - Livy sounds like a character!! How cute. She is doing so much vocally.
Alicia - Cute re the fish. I am glad Olivia's sleep time is better for you.
MOM - Get better. We all have chesty coughs here. Never ends.
Loren is a super clingy toddler atm. I am dreading dropping her at daycare tomorrow. She really cute at the same time. She is saying her first full word..which is Yes. She walks around nodding her head saying YESSSS!! She is doing a lot of hand movements to songs and she walks around trying to sing Old McDonald Farm. One thing I noticed that she is very artistic. She holds a pencil like Sara does and she spends (not all at once) drawing and playing with pens.
It is late and I am tired so it is off to bed for me. My belly is getting really big now and I can't move!!!!
Might be time for a belly pic Bek :)
Alicia - sooooo cute, ash loves fishys too! i will get him some when i move out. i used to have a million but kinda killed them when i was pregnant and didnt look after them properly
Nic - thats such a good idea with the toilet!!! ash wees everything its bath time!! i will try that too!!
When do u teach them to go to the toilet?? 2years??? Anyone using a potty or just stright to a toilet.... OMG i cant believe im already talking about toilet training!! ohhhhh where has the time gone!!
BEKZ - PICCIES TIME I AGREE!!! :D - i saw one of u on ur facebook... is that recent?
Hi Girls! Looks like everyone is doing really well. I have been missing lately as work has been really busy and have had my Dad in hospital having pacemaker put in so I haven't been in hear at all.
Buzzie was talking about potty training which I have been thinking about too so I'd love to hear all you thoughts particularly those who have already been through it before with there older kids.
Also does everyone's bubs still have a milk feed at night before bed? I'm just worried that my DD is such a little chubba that giving her milk as well at night may be an extra thing she doesn't need. I only feed her organic fruit and vege and meals I cook from scratch but she does eat a fair bit of fruit which I though may be contributing to her chubbiness. She's 11.5kg....is she huge compared to your bubba's?
I really want to ensure that I give her a great start to life and for her not to always be that chubby kid.
Lauren: all I do is sit her on the toilet before her bath each night.. A couple times during the day she has asked to go.. In her own way.. She won't let me put her nappy on and I say would you like to use the toilet. she nods we go she then wants off right away but the important thing is she isn't scared of the toilet or anything.
I honestly think she is only showing an interest cus she sees 5 other people going kwim? I will start actual training around her 2nd birthday. Isaac was 23 months and Jacob was 25 months so I assume she will be around the same age. Ethan was 2 and a half but I think he would have been earlier if I knew what i was doing
Well I smell a very stinky girl so better go.. She had a teeny tiny nap in the car so I don't think she is going to nap again for me today *sigh*
