ouch thats pretty hot.. It was 35 here today but they said it felt like 39 and that I believe.. the humidity is killing me lol.. I want last weeks weather back

Nic, funny you should say that about Jabob. Tehya did the same thing today. I left her sitting on the lounge next to Abbey. Game I know. Anyway when I came back in she was leaning over her with her top pulled up trying to give her booby. Was sooo cute. Shame I didn't have the camera handy.

BBS, Abbeys starting to have her nightly scream fest.

:cry:little Mylo got a bad burn on his leg thanks to the metal clips on the seatbelt- you know the tongue that goes into the groove to lock the seat belt... well they got insanely hot while the car was parked in the sun so when we put him in it touched his legs and burnt a big blistering burn on him. I tried really hard to not let it touch him but i failed: while i was busy holding one side off him and dousing where it touched his arm with water, the other side was under him burning his leg. i thought it was safely under his clothes but i was wrong. he was screaming his head off, not because his arm got burnt, but coz his leg was still burning. once i pulled it out from under him he stopped, and then i realised. i felt so bad i cried. when we got home i put aloe vera on it and rang 13health, they asked me a heap of questions and said get him to hospital emergency immediately. they said it could be life threatening, so to check he didn't stop breathing on the way, carry a mobile phone incase we needed to stop and call an ambulance and to watch for this and that... terrified we raced him to emergency, where they looked at him and said it's a superficial burn, aloe vera is good, keep it clean and here's some cream. :) moral of the story, cars get really hot, those clips can be dangerous, and a baby's skin is so thin.

but now the drama is over, all is good. he's sleeping alot after all that. they weighed him and he's 5.8kgs! he's gained 2.5kgs in 7 weeks. little sumo baby. i love him so much i could melt. (assisted by the crazy queensland heat);)

Just checking in. Good to see you back Trish but sorry to hear B is still giving you a hard time.

Olivia discovered her foot today! She was sitting on me on the bed and suddenly looked down at her foot then followed up her leg with her eyes and back down again. You could see it dawn on her that that weird thing was actually attached to her :lol: She did the same thing when she discovered her hand.

On the whole feeling pretty grumpy today. Cleaned out the laundry (which is like our storage room as well) to burn off some energy/grumpiness. It looks much better now.

Oh no Lara, hope your little sumo baby (:lol:) is ok. Poor little bub :( I try to remember to throw a blanket over the capsule on hot days hoping that helps (not sure it does) but I often forget...

Hi Girl

Exhausted mummy here. We had Sofia's christening today, the big fat Greek christening. Sofia was fairly good in the church, didn't cry when she was dunked, but was unsettled getting dressed and after until she was finally passed to me, (she still thinks that every time she gets her nappy changed or gets bathed that booby comes straight after, well she just didn't want to wait today). The party after was good, majority of the guests were my family, they asked me when I was having a third child because they like the Greek christenings, Maria's party was a big greek banquet, today's was in at a restuarant that used to be a Black Stump and the food was great. Now both girls are asleep and I can relax. I will try to add a couple of pictures to my gallery soon.

Trish: I must either trust Jacob to much or he is an awesome kid lol. I leave olivia with him whn he is cuddling her. he just loves her so much. he won't move if he is holding her.

How cute Tehya was trying to feed Abbey. Our little ones can be such darlings at times

xtml: ouch poor mylo. I have been there done that too. and the pinching of the skin :( Simon just did that to jacob just the other day infact.. glad it wasn't to bad though. I hate how hot the seats get too. Awesome weigh gain too.. Way to go little (well not so little) man!

Alicia: Aww at the foot finding. Olivia just found hers the other day too. She was wiggling her toes and looked down stoppped wiggling them then started again and grinned. Was so cute

I finally woke olivia at 9. She fed had a bath smiled cooed a bit fed again and went down at 10:30 just like i knew she would :) I will gaurantee you she will wake at 4am...

Sorry to anyone that had a sleepless night but a little brag coming up here... Last night Olivia went to bed at 9pm and didn't wake until 7:30 this morning!!!!! She has now fed, vomited, been dressed and is in the bassinette playing with her toy seahorse and drifting off to sleep again :)

So Nic, how did your night go hun ? I am hoping that Olivia slept good for you. Tehya wants to be a mummy with Abbey. It's just way too scarey for me.

Ohhh I've done the pinch thing too, hurts when you get your own fingers.

Xtml, sorry to hear about poor Mylo. I hope his burns heal quickly without too much grief. I posted in your thread about his burns that you can get covers for carseats. I thought about getting one for us too. WTG on Mylo's weight gain, what a little champ. I think Abbey weighs about 5.2kgs, well she did last time I weighed her and that was dressed so if I stripped her down she'd prob be around that.

Louise, glad to hear that the Christening went well. My turn to go through it all next weekend. And I STILL haven't ordered Abbey's cake. I better do it on Monday. Would love to see some of your pics too.

Alicia, how cute at Olivia finding her feet. Wait until she starts chewing on them ;) Atleast you used your grumpy mood for something productive. Mine is usually wasted on screaming and yelling.

What a night I had here. Abbey was a good girl, she was down by 8.30 and woke at 6.30 had some booby and is stil asleep.

Brandon took off to a friends lastnight that I told him he wasn't allowed to go to. We called and spoke with the kids brother and he told us that yes he was there, so DP and Joel got in the car to go get him, nope, not there, and neither are the kids that live their. Doesn't this mother know where her kids are or what they are up to either ?? So jump forward to 2.30am and we get a phone call, it's the Police and they have Brandon. What an idiot it makes me feel like to have my 13 year old found hanging aroung the local shopping centre at that time. Thankfully they brang him home and I didn't have to go get him. I made him sleep in the lounge room cos I don't want him to get decent sleep. If I have to be woken up in the middle of the night and early the next day then so can he.

He will be dealt with when he wakes up. Bloody kids AGGGGGGGGHHHHHH :wall:

Have a great Sunday girls. I am taking the girls to a birthday party at 11. Really should get my bum into the shower while Abbey is still sleeping :D

ETA, WTG Alicia. So glad that Olivia slept well for you. Gee our girls are good sleepers. I only pray they keep it up.

Well Miss O didn't wake at 4am she woke at 2:30 but I think the most incredible thunder and ightening storm may have woken her. Boy it was immpressive. I took her back to bed at 3:30 as she was falling asleep and put her in her cradle and never heard a peep from her till 5:30. I on the other hand just couldn't sleep. Ethan was in bed with me last night as it was so hot and his room is hot anyways he started sneezing and tossing so in the end I said. Either stp sneezing or go back to your own bed :lol: I was tired ok. He stopped sneezing though

Then jacob woke me at 6:30. When Olivia woke at 5:30 I put her in bed and boobied her while I slept. I got up with Jacob then remembered I had left Olivia on the bed awake lol (can you tell I wasn't awake properly) so I went back to get her and she had falled asleep so I thoguht I will just lay here for a couple minutes. Fast forward and hour to 7:30 :cryinglaugh: and I open my eyes and Dh is in bed. Charming as I am i said WTF? You see I closed my eyes at 6:30 and Ethan wwas there and opened them at 7:30 and Dh is there :lol:

Olivia is now happily swinging away :) I am in the middle of a coffee ding my moring routine. Coffee and BB

eta: Trish. I am glad Brandon is home. give him a decent serve from me *slap* silly boy!!

Hey Trish - I could have a solution re Abbey's cake, Sofia's special cake was a fake cake - iced square foam with pink frill around the edge and a little baby on a cradle on top, I did not pipe her name on it at all. If you are stuck you can have the foam cake and I can make a new topper for you (I am keeping Sofia's). That way you just need to order a simple slab cake for the party. - I have just upload a couple of pictures to see it.

kitten2b - They are beautiful pic's the gown is gorgeous & the pic of maria in the fairy costume is a beauty.

alicia - wtg great sleep - so jealous :lol:

Trish - :hug: sending a swift kick probably wouldn't make any difference to his behaviour tho.

I have actually managed to get housework done today! Taking a lunch break at the moment. Olivia was sound asleep in her swing before so I went and had a shower and decided to wash my hair.. Poor thing when I turned the taps off she was screaming and screaming :( she had done another mini poop I guess if she keeps this sort of pooping up I will be ok with it.

Althought she is a little grumpy today.. better go give her some cuddles

what is it with babies & having a shower - Vicky does that to me nearly every time - now i have one at 5am before DP goes to work.

Usually I just shower when she is awake and happy but I went while she was asleep. Silly me lol...

Louise that gown is gorgeous! I also love the idea of a fake cake, it's not something I had considered.

This morning (after her record sleep) Olivia did her first projectile vomit ALL down my front! It was definitely not one of those beautiful baby moments I had dreamed of :lol: but hopefully it wont happen too often :pray:

My sister just dropped around with 4 beautiful white and pink summer dresses that she had bought for Olivia. They are for 12 month olds so hopefully she will fit into them next summer. She now has quiet a bit of stuff for next summer that family members and friends have bought her in advance, maybe I wont have to buy much..... ;)

Anyway hope you all have a good nights sleep and the bubs all behave themselves. Night.

sorry i haven't been on in a few days....

Some news on us! We are dong well and have now switched over to FF full time.. it just wasn't happening and i found my milk had gone all "watery" don't know if this makes sense to anyone, but a full bottle wasn't lasting her 2hrs!! Anyway, so far so good with FF, however she has decided that half a bottle at each feed will do her fine!! :( not happy about that!

Those who are FFing, do you have a set routine?? like so you feed when bubs wants it, or by the hr??..... and are their poos sometimes dark green!!??

Lara - OMG at you possibly being PG!!! :cryinglaugh:
:cry: poor Mylo! I've noticed ours gets hot too! and i have dark tinted windows and a sun shade!! i must be more careful!! Hope it's getting better and he's not in too much pain :(

alicia - lol at Olivia finding her foot! what a cutie!! As for buying stuff, when she's older YOU WILL GO CRAZY..like me! :p

louise - yeah we are trying to organise Chrissie's BIG FAT GREEK CHRISTENING too!! LOL glad yours went well! we have set a date at least..3rd May! now we have to find somewhere for FOOD!! which is always the hardest part!! i have yet to go to a Christening where the bub wasn't crying! LOL

Haroula: has it been hotter down your way? that can sometimes make it appear watery. Good luck though. You have to do whats right for you. As for FF when i was FF Ethan he would have half a bottle then 90 minutes later have the other half. boy it was frustrating but by about 6 months he stopped doing that. Come to think of it Isaac did something similar with his EBM. Might be a bottle thing :)

Lara: How is little Mylo's leg?

Alicia: :lol: at the puke! When i was in the shops once showing a 3 weeks old Isaac to a friend he decided to do that. Was very icky.. A friend of mine just dropped off more clothes for Olivia yesterday too. Her Daughter is a Dec 05 baby so I am getting lots of seriously gorgeous clothes.

Had a pretty crap night! Olivia didn't sleep much yesterday but she finally pooped yay then she went to bed at 7:30 but was stirring a lot and woke at midnight? midnight for goodness sakes :lol: then she was awake again by 4:45am *yawn* Simon is making me a coffee as we speak :) I have cleaned out my fridge already and have a few other jobs to do but coffee and cake was calling :)

Haroula I feed Olivia when she is hungry which is about every 3-4 hours depending on how much she ate at the last bottle. I just try to make sure she gets 5 feeds a day. MCH nurse said dark green poo is normal for FF bubs (Olivia's is usually dark green with yellow bits in it - lovely :D)

We had a great sleep here again, 9pm - 5:30am (which is when hubby gets up for work so that is ok). She then went back to sleep from 6:30-9. Now she is chatting away on my knee and trying to fit her fist in her mouth! :lol:

Nic I cleaned out the fridge yesterday. Hate to admit i but there were some things growing in there that should never have survived so long! Sorry Olivia is having a hard time with her poo and sleep. Hopefully you will get a nap today.

nic - nah it's actually been cooler these days...
hmm cleaning out the fridge.... i need to do that too... one day.... also need to sort through my kitchen cupboards! ARG! hate that job!

thanks for the sympathy everyone; Mylo's leg is healing really well thanks nic, i don't think it's hurting him at all. it's scabbed over nicely and he'd let me know if it was ouchy to touch.

Haroula, glad melbourne has cooled down, we'll be there friday for a week. i guess better pack everything - umbrellas, winter coats, sunscreen, bikini, etc... a bit like brizzy at the moment. sorry to hear you have lost the battle of the boob, i feel like, as a group, we supported you more to go on to formula than we did to persevere with breastmilk... and for that i'm sorry. o well, live and learn.

today was playgroup and i couldn;t bear to miss it, even tho it was raining and we didn'tn have a car or pram (both DH took to work), so i put mylo in the bb sling and olly put on his shoes (the ones that wer'ent in the car, or in the bath) and we walked up the hill to the busstop, and fromthe busstop to playgroup (and back again). he managed a 10 minute walk each way without asking to be carried or letting go of my hand. and didn't run off while we waited for the bus, even tho he wanted to. it took alot of encouragement and engaging him with silly games/songs etc to get him there and back safely, but we did it without any tears. I'm so proud of him, he's all grown up at 2!

glad to hear that all these babies are getting chubby. gotta love a lil' chubba.

Mirani had her needles and drops last week, and for the past week her nappies have been rank. poo and milk vomit, i can deal with, vomiting chunks, i cant. but i tell ya, these ones have made me dry reach. i heard somewhere that its a side affect from the rotovirus.

she is so big at the moment, she's into a size 00 already and weighs a tonne. it looks like she's going to get her bottom teeth soon. i can see a touch of white on her gums. she hasnt started rolling or found her feet yet, but loves chewing on her hands and smiling and talking to evveryone.

sleeping at the moment is brilliant. sleeping from around 10.30pm to anywhere from 5am to 8am. last night it was 9.45pm to just after 7am. and it was great, it was the first time in 11 weeks i have gone to bed before 11 and not had to get up again.

trish: with brandon, is it attention he is wanting or is he just being a royal pain the the butt? instead of noah and teyha being jealous maybe he is?

Well I have sore wrists here tonight. I read something about holding them up in the air will help ease the pain and it did.. when i feel the pain coming on I just hold my hands up in the air

my poor Dh tonight.. He was on the phone to his Gran and he was holding Olivia. she has this terrible habit of flicking hersel backwards. Now I am always aware she does it but DH didn't have his reflexes on the ball tonight and she flicked herself back really hard thankfully he caught her but she landed heavily on his arm and was pretty much unsettled for the next hour. I hope she didn't hurt her neck or anything. I gave her a lovely rub but she just wasn't happy.. She was ok by the time she went to bed though. Poor bubba. dh felt so bad.. He kept saying Im so sorry baby girl...

Well Im off.. Skins is on. Does anyone else watch it?

Nic - hope your wrists feel better soon. I am having pain on and off, but when I have it it is so hard to do anything with the kids.

Michelle/Nic - Sofia is due for her 4 month needles this week, not looking forward to them, I have just got her into a lovely routine, she is sleeping beautifully at night, and now they are due. I suppose I am worried because after Maria's 4 month needles she never slept through the night again until she was 18 months. I have to tell myself that they are 2 very different girls, lets hope so.

:( I hate needles. i know they get over it quickly but still... I hope Sofia is very different.

My wrists aren't any better today. I took some panadol at 5 and it is wearing off now. Debating taking anymore. Not really sure what to do really. I found all the panadol did this morning was just ease the ache a bit. But I also went back to bed at 6 till 8 with Miss O so I don't know if it worked kwim? *sigh* It is starting to get me down :( I posted a thread on it with some qn's but noone hass replied yet. I read something last night about it possibly being associated with an epidural and that makes sense seeing as I have back pain where the epi was...

anyways.. Olivia slept great last night 7:30 - 4:45 :dance::clap: and she slept for 4 hours in the afternoon too

Nic sorry about your wrists, I really don't know much about it but it sounds awful and I can sympathise with it hurting to pick up your bubs.

Not such a good night here. Olivia only ate a small bottle before bed, at 10pm, and so didn't sleep as well as usual. She wasn't really awake, just restless and grizzly so it kept me awake (from 3-5am).

I have an appointment with my surgeon today, hopefully it will be the last, or next to last, time I have to see him. He is a really nice guy but really I don't want to see him anymore iykwim.

Olivia stayed with my mum from 9 to 1 and behaved which was great I was stressing I would come back to a screaming unhappy babay but he was fabulous, and got her to go to bed at 8.30ish :dance:
