all good here, yesterday was a great day and we slept from 9:30pm - 4:45am! so WOOOHOOO! now all i got to get her to do is go to sleep at 10:30 and wake up at 6:30am!! hahaha i know.. easier said than done!!
Hi all just poking my head in to say hello. Off to get Liam's needles today, they are little bit late but he has been so unsettled latley that I didnt want to rock the apple cart too much.
Took him back to the GP re: his reflux on Monday as the Infant Gaviscon didnt seem to be having much affect after the first day, and she has started him on Zantac and AR formula and I am starting to see an improvement, fingers crossed that it lasts.
Anyway better go and get myself organised, I have to get into the city by 10am and I always manage to get myself lost in the maze of 1 way streets.

Another good night here thank goodness. Olivia slept from 10-6 then went back to sleep at 7:30 and is still in there at 10:45!
My appointment with the surgeon went well(ish). I shouldn't need to see him again :dance: so that is fantastic. However he did need to courterise (sp???) the sides of the wound, so last night it was REALLY hurting and I went in to lay on the bed when I got home at 6pm. It is feeling better this morning.
Well better get dressed, off to mothers group at the local library today.

pretty decent night here. Miss O was a bit upset but I just went and had a shower and left dh to it :) I came out she had settled down had booby and went to sleep.. that ewas before 8 she did wake at 3 though but was back in bed by 4 and we slept till 7:40. got out of bed and decided to walk Ethan to school. the walk itself was great but blooming heck. Jacob threw a huge tantrum cus there were *****les. He stillwon't wear shoes. isaac was fine till we left Ethan at school and then suddenly he was just to exhausted to scooter anymore :rolleyes:
Oh well we got exercise and I feel good. Olivia was great. Seeing as she only had a quick feed before we left and one on the road . she is happy in her swing now..

JUst back from the pool. This morning we had playgroup until 12, then Maria and Sofia and I met some friends at the Cook and Phillip pool in the city, it was excellent, it was very quiet so we just had us in the kiddies pool that had a bubbles area and a slippery dip into the water. Maria now wants milk and a sleep - yay.

I haven't been in for a while. We had Rob's Dad's 60th bday party on the weekend. We had to do heaps of work for it and I still haven't recovered.
Miss Loren is doing well, she seems to be sleeping a bit better and I am still breastfeeding (well 90% of the time). It's funny I thought I would be happy with myself to reach the 8 week mark and now I am nearly at week 12 I am feeling guilty for thinking about giving up.
Miss Sara is being a true 2yo atm, and life with her is very testing. She really hates me at the moment. Her favourite words are: no mummy, go away or get out!!!

bek - oh no, sorry to hear sara is being like that. hopefully it will pass. I'm glad olly doesn't have alot of words to use nastily yet. all his new words are english- i feel like he'll understand both languages but only speak one. he's not in any hurry to make sentences anyway. all the other kids are saying plenty and he's not yet, thats ok tho... the sooner they start really talking, the sooner u wish they'd shut up (so i hear).
alicia- you got couterised (sp?)... smells foul hey? i have a branding on my bum and it was burnt in, healed, sliced open and couterised again. i couldn't sit down properly for a week, so i hape you're ok. the scar is heaps bigger when i'm pregnant.
wow it is quiet. is there quite a few babies called olivia in this group or am i imagining it?
xtml - I think there are 4 olivia's and 1 oliver.
xtml - You are right once they can talk they don't shut up!! Although I found it really cute when Sara was learning to talk. Sara speaks both English and Polish fluently and she switches between both really well. And yes she is nasty in both languages too.

Chrissie had her needles today! She was such a trooper the little angel! She let out a bit of a scream as the first one went in and then settled down quickly!! and by the time we were putting her track pants on, she was almost asleep!!!

Olivia and I visited the Aquarium today with my mum. Olivia was very good and only yelled at the fish a little bit :lol: She was way more interested in the bubbles and overhead lights in the tanks than the fish.

Man oh man Olivia has spewed that much today its unreal and the amount of times she has been changed is getting beyond a joke... She either is pooping up a storm or weeing up a storm or vomiting all over herself and me.... So each time this occurs we both require a change of clothes my poor washing machine...
I am sick of the dreaded AF trying to make a appearance and then going as quick as it came.... Does this mean I am ovulating again with all the stop start bleeding..

morning ladies..
yesterday evening was a different story for poor Chrissie... she would be fine one moment, then let out a cry like she was in pain... she wouldn't let me put her down..not like her at all! In the end i gave her a bit of panadol and she it just stopped, like magic! We even got laughs and cooing!! Poor thing must have had some sort of pain from the needles! :( She hasn't had much of an appetite either..Hopefully will get better today! .

Hi girls, I'm still around jut been very busy. Abbey has taken to staying awake ALL day, and yes I do mean all day. I am lucky to get 1 hours sleep out of her, and that's broken up into short naps. I don't know what the hell she is doing but I want to get her out of it. THankfully though, she still sleeps all night. Most nights its from 9.30 til 6am, but the last 2 nights it's been 9.30pm til 7 am. Not bad, alteast I am getting a full nights sleep but it's so hard having her awake all day. I went down that path with Tehya too, so I know how hard it gets. Must break the cycle.
We have the girls party this weekend so I will be busy today and tomorrow baking away. Of course it has rained here all week so the yard is going to be sooooo soggy. Rain is forecast for the weekend too, and only 23 degrees. Pooey.
Brandon has taken off once again. TBH I just dont' know what else can be done to help him out. Everyone is telling me that I should just let him go to the boys home that has been suggested to me, but I just can't. Spose, atleast then I know where he is.
Have a good one girls. Hope all bubba's are nice and settled for their mummys.

Olivia has been grumpy in the evening the last 2 nights. Last night I had to hide out in a dark room with her and she settled down.. she still awakes at 4am every morning Last night she fell asleep at 7:45 and right at 4 she was awake. the night before she went down a bit earlier but still woke at 4am. Its like clockwork. Maybe I should move the clock away from near her bed :lol:

Been MIA due to computer issues - hopefully sorted now!!
H - glad Chrissie is ok after her needles. I think it is coincidence but Bronte has not been feeding properly since she had her needles last Friday. She will not let me feed her in the normal position (across tummy) I now need to be lying down or standing jiggling her & then almost tricking her onto the boob - this is not fun I must say! She also stiffens up sometimes so not sure what is going on there. One of my Mothers Group mums says the same thing happened with her first & that is what made her switch to formula!!!! I don't plan to do that but boy I hope things get easier!!!
xtml - you sound like a glutton for pain with all the piercings, brandings etc you have had. You must be one tough cookie I say. How has your lavender-cotton-ball approach to parenting been going? I must say it inspired me :)

M22 - Hope you sort out that feeding issue! what a pain! That's sorta what happened to us, and i just was way too tired every day, so i slowly switched her over to formula. She went from being great on the boob to being BAD! I thought they where supposed to get better at it!! and then a couple other issues,...and that was it for us! Never mind... she's happy and healthy and that's all that matters to me!

Kids settled down a bit thankfully. now we are having morning tea. Well just finished :) Olivia transfered from the pram to bed and just as I typed that came the familar WAH WAH..
ok on boob :) will continue. we just got back from walking Ethan to park. I had the net over the pram but when I checked Olivia there was a huge mozzi feasting on her eyelid :( It is very red,,

Haroula, sorry to hear Chrissie got fussy. It sounds like what happened to Olivia. She was fine when we got home then a couple of hours later wasn't fine at all, we used panadol too and that helped as did a cold flannel on her poor little sore leg. Hope Chrissie is feeling better today.
Trish, so sorry about Brandon :hug: Tell little Miss Abbey that I said her mummy needs a bit of a break sometimes.
Teena, good on you for being calm about the vomit. It is the one thing that totally grosses me out!
OK night here. Although DH went out so I was left alone with Olivia (who screamed for no reason for half an hour just after he left). After our big day at the aquarium all I wanted to do was nap but Livi would not go to sleep and didn't til 10pm.

LOL the crawlers are getting tight around his tummy and the stickie part are right on the edges of his nappy! hehe i reckon hes gonna take after my 6ft3 brother! they both were due on the same date and born the same day so why not grow the same! Just went for a walk to the shops with Olivia and we had a great time wandering around, having a snack in a cafe (her not me ;)). On the way home I crossed the train tracks (got some donuts at the excellent donut van for afternoon tea) and then walking past the ramp that goes over the tracks a very drunk woman dropped/threw her large bottle of alcohol over the side and just missed me and the pram! Would not have been happy if the pram had ended up smelling of whatever it was.
SOOOOO much to do tonight. We are having a garage sale tomorrow morning and although I have said numerous times this week that we need to organise and he needs to clean out his wardrobe, DH has as usual put it off until the last minute, so tonight will be spent organising :doh: Actually had a guy knock on the door yesterday about tomorrows garage sale - bit keen isn't he?!

Trish sorry to hear Brandon is still mucking around I seriously have no advice for you and I suppose your over it all anyway right now...Hope he pulls his darn socks up for you soon... I hope Abbey starts sleeping during the day Olivia did that for a while aswell was extremely frustrating, only started sleeping during the day again this past week... Oh and night time is getting better too last night put her to bed while I got the other two organised as all she wanted was to be held and was grumpy.. Not expecting her to go sleep just cry lol and lo and behold she went to sleep at 7.15 and slept through until 12.45 had nappy change boob and slept until 4.30 and went down at 11.30 and still down now at 2.15....:lol::dance:
Nic yeah I cant say I have actually had a period yet as its only not even one day of very light spotting then gone...Starting to frustrate me a tad..been slack and haven't gotten any conception sorted yet as I don't know what I want (don;t really want to be on any if I had my way) I would like a 4th I think am I crazy :p

Buzzie sounds like ash is growing so quickly olivia is still in newborn nappies and 0000 clothing ... Yep my boobs are shocking at night no breast pad can cope I tell you...I have resolved to the fact i need to sleep on a folded up towel :cry:
Haroula can't say I am looking forward to Olivia's needles I must get them done soon... I keep forgeting wondering if that is on purpose or not :lol: They only have set days here they do it and of course I get side tracked... Must must do it..

To anyone using cloth nappies how do you get around night time with them waking up saturated... I have found a AWESOME nappy but at $44 each don't want to buy too many of those...

hmmm still having issues with the needles i think!... it's not that she's crying or unsettled or anything... she's sleeping well! She just isn't eating!! she's had 20-70ml a go each feed.. we are up to 6 feeds so far..only one went to 100ml and then she just brought it back up!! I'm starting to worry... if it doesn't get better by tomorrow..might have to call the 24hr MCHN..
could it be the formula?? we are on the second tin now..so i would have thought that if she didn't like it i would know by now..?!?!
m22 - aw thanks! yeah it inspired me too cozit worked- followin on i taught him and dh some circus tricks so olly can fly like superman - he's so light and easily impressed: badly faked magic tricks work on him too!:lol:
mylo had his 2 mth needles ystdy and was very brave (so was i- i didn't cry this time). today he's been normal so far, so good. lets see how he copes with the plane ride tonight. he's 61 kgs now and 62 cm- 90th percentile. way to go mylo!

hi everyone else! hope you all have a good weekend.
today i bought a new (second hand ) washig machine- the last one died during my first load of cloth nappies. i'm excited to use the new one when we get back from melbourne- life is so much nicer with a decent washing machine- after handwashing for months in Indonesia (and in brisbane when we first moved back) i really learnt to appreciate the humble washing machine. this one died a slow and painful death and im glad its over.
tmw is my grandma's 90th birthday party - its a lunch in a RSL gig - they're catering for me as the only vegan and olly the only vegetarian and bonar the only meat-eating muslim that prefers not to know which meat comes from pig ( if he doesn;t know, its ok;)). all my cousins will be there with new babies and my mad aunts and all - it'll be cool! gotta go, cook dinner, clean up the mess, throw out the perishables and lock the house.. we're off to melbourne!:dance:

Olivia has slept nearly all day. Growth spurt time I think. She slept 8ish to 4 (what a surprise) but staright back to sleep and woke at 5:30 back in bed at 6 till 7 then 9:30 till 12:30 and went back down at 2 and its almost 4 here.. So yeh lots of sleep here
Boys are very happy. It is cool here today so they were outside nearly all day except for lunch time and we watched a movie..
