I think I might have to do that babyluv... She spat out the dose tonight so don't know if she got any!! I was looking forward to only Having to syringe feed 1-2ml lots instead of 20mls but if it helps make her keep it down then I might have to!

C is in cluster feed mode, she'd pass out in my arms, I'd put her down, 5 mins later she's screaming so go get her, she passes out and we start again! Now I am trying to fill her up so she stays asleep!

Hey girls.. Just dropping in to say Gday! I do stalk you all the time. Eden had his 6 week check up on Thursday. The paed was extremely happy with him. He's growth is above average (from birth to 6weeks). He's 5.1kgs & 58cm long. He's becoming alot more unsettled during the day now and cries ALOT... Thankfully he's an angel at night. The past couple of days has been difficult, I'm trying to find a way.... Thankfully DH is off work next week and we're heading to Sydney. We'll have my MIL to help out and I'm sooooo looking forward to a bit of a break.

Sounds like you're all doing so fabulously well....

Babyluv, she slept from 11am till 3.30!!! Then she was the same unsettled and screaming self till 7.30 and fell asleep on DH and slept till 1am. I am trying to get her to not go to sleep till a bit later than 7.30pm around 9 or 10 would be good then i can go to bed when she does and hopefully get that big sleep then. She doen't want to cooperate though lol!!!

Georgi enjoy next week in Sydney. Go Eden sounds like he is doing great and even better if he is a gem at night, makes the unsettled day seem not as bad.

Hi mums! Haven't been posting for a while coz everytime I get time to sit down with the computer I don't get very far before Claire seems to want me again.
So on Tues we celebrated Claire's full month birthday with my PIL and it was my first time out in the shops since birth. Firstly I couldn't quite find clothes to wear, then at the shops, it felt weird to see people again. PIL left on Weds and we've had 2 days on our own since. Claire's been very kind to me and been sleeping and feeding well though she still has her unsettled times in the evenings from 7pm to 11pm but luckily DH is home then to help. I'm still learning how to do little bits of housework in between her needs but have managed to get dressed in the mornings, do laundry and get dinner on the table through the day.
Re settling bub: We've got the hammock and I've found it to be invaluable. When she's fussy during the day, she feeds, nods off to sleep but wakes up in 10 mins wanting attention/feed again. So I feed her again, (make sher sleepy somehow) then pop her in the hammock and rock away. I do end up spending a lot of time sitting by the hammock and rocking her back to sleep but at least I don't have to carry her and she gets some decent sleep. That way she's not too cranky come evening times. I've heard the miracle blanket is great too but haven't tried it yet.
We also use the dummy during her arsenic hour (if she wants it... sometimes she gags when w use it) and it seems to settle her quite well.
Sounds like everyone's bubs are putting humongous amount of weight. Well done ladies! I'll try to keep up if I can with posting. DH is thinking of getting me a tablet like thing so I can surf belly belly while BF.

Caixin: good to hear from you again, sounds like your getting along well considering your trauma last week! BB is great for staying awake and entertained while feeding, I think I'd be lost without my iPhone! Glad your first outing is done and dusted, that seems to be the hardest one.

Georgi: nice to hear from you again too, I like how you find time to drop in and say hi to us Eden sounds like a little champ with all that growing and sleeping well at night!

Renee: good idea trying to push that sleep back a bit, that would be a great nights sleep if it started when you went to bed! Good to hear you sounding happier with e everything

Bexie: how's the Zantac going? Love your pool pics, I can't wait to take G swimming! Did you have any drama with the nappy? You look great too!

Babyluv: loving all the new pics of Sienna too, she's a stunner! Does she like her tummy time?

Hi to everyone else, shelly how's those iron levels of yours going?

G had a real clingy day yesterday, I couldn't get a thing done which sucks coz we don't get too many sunny days at this time of year and I'm trying to make good use of them! She was nicer to me this morning tho, managed to get some mowing done and floors and cupboards cleaned, discovered the storm that hit on Thursday dropped a couple of our big gum trees (luckily not onto the fences!) one did damage the chook pen fencing tho so a bit of cleanup work to do there but i think i might leave that for dh!

Mizqtie: would it be easier for you to search us if yours is barred? I'm Sarah baker, profile pic is me in a pink shirt holding georgia up near my face. Once you get one or two of us the rest will be easy to find thru same friends... I'll try search you too tho coz there's ten million ppl out there with my name so I can be a bit tricky to find!

    Hello!
I've also been MIA but i do stalk by the time i get to post Liam is screaming again.

Where did you guys get the swaddle me outfit? I love the look of them although I don't know if it would work as he hasnt been swaddled in a while.
We are finally establishing a routine and it is getting much easier. He now sleeps at night and when he is hungry he will go on the boob and i will go back to sleep.
The problem is, he doesnt like sleeping in his basinette much so I am not getting anything done, how are you guys managing between cooking and cleaning and bfing??
My mum left on Thursday and I literally have not done anything other than cleaning the bottles and sterilizing them and did a small bit of dishes.

I hope everyones reflux problems are getting better.
    I have to go!

Mrs- i found you cause i have Georgina As a friend so you being a mutual friend with her made it easy to find you

Kayleef- I don't get to clean everyday but some days i just choose to be lazy and catch up on sleep but today ive been really good i caught up on all my washing, vacuumed, dishes and just a general tidy up everywhere
It's quite hard when you are stuck to the lounge bfing all the time, even my DS1 gets cranky about me feeding all the time cause he misses out alot too i feel horrible but hoping it'll pass soon
This afternoon has been an absolute shocker K has done nothing but cry everytime he gets put down and its driving me bonkers cause i really dont know whats wrong with him he swaps and changes his routine just as im starting to get the hang of it

Bex- what did you dress C in to go swimming?? DF wont let me take K cause he doesnt have swimmers :| im like hes a baby a nappy will do, thats all DS1 swam in until he could fit into swimmers lol

For those that asked, I just had her in a normal nappy. It just swelled up a bit but it was fine!! I was calling C an "ant bum" (think a bugs life or whatever the movie is with ants, they all have huge bums) cause the nappy made her bum huge! Hahaha

Kaylee: I don't get anything done. Lol. Once I get her to sleep though, I can put her down. But then I don't want to spend that precious time hectically cleaning n then I will be more tired when she wakes up. So I do little bits at a time. Good to hear Liam is settling down for you tho! He is just gorgeous!!!! I got my swaddle from Bubsngrubs online, they have free postage but you are in Melbourne right? Pretty sure the big baby stores would have them, like baby bunting? It's a "wrap me up swaddle" by love me baby. C's is finally clean again after she did her one and only massive spew on it. Lol.

We had a lovely day at the park, got some great photos and funny videos so will post on fb maybe tomorrow. Charlotte was ok until we left then all hell broke loose!! We went to cold rock and had to change her there on the tables (no change table in the toilets!) and she was hysterical! I still had to go to woolies for wipes cause she has a really bad rash thingy on her bum and hoohaa! It's so red and looks a bit raw. I am using the Gaia skin soothing lotion which is a thick cream with that calendula or whatever it is, in it and it cleared it up but it's back on her hoohaa! So I bought some J&J sensitive wipes in hope that they will be better on her bum than aldi ones. I got a nap too this arvo of about an hour which I sooo needed thank god! Now we are goin to dinner at a seafood place and doing a seafood buffet. Mm..

Oh little mrs: Zantac seems to be doing alright... We'll see how tonight's feed goes cause just before bed (11pm-12am) is usually the worst time. Did you get your chicken pen fixed today?

Hope you ladies had a great day!!

Kaylee: I've been doing my housework with Georgia in the carrier (baby bjorne type thing) so she's still happy that she's on me but I have both hands free. I got it for $30 from target and love it, if you dont have one I would recommend finding one! Obviously can't cook like that tho, but for cooking I put her on her playmat with distracting lights and sounds and stick a dummy in her mouth, if she spits it out and cries then I figure she can't get hurt there so I leave her - as long as I'm not more than a few mins away. That's just what works for me hun, Liam may or may not agree! Having her in the carrier usually puts her to sleep to, bonus!

Kaylee: I've also been doing the cleaning etc with my ergo carrier on, if I didn't have that nothing would get done because S screams when put down & if she's asleep & I put her down she wakes up.
We got the wrap me' up swaddle from baby bunting & they also stock the miracle blanket .

MrsBexie: How was Charlottes reflux last night? Is the Zantac helping?

Omg night from hell. She was behaving beautifully at dinner, slept like an angel, get home and fed put her to bed at 11, dreamfed at 12:30 then it was all downhill From there. She was crying, feeding, tried to put her down, she'd cry again, put her on the boob n she'd be out to it for ages, put her down and she scream. I am so tired. I have had no sleep. And now I am cranky n have a headache and the in laws are here.

Hopefully everyone else had a good night.

    Morning ladies!

Little mrs: You're a trouper for mowing the lawn! I can't even fanthom doing that at all even with Claire in her carrier. Eekks on falling gum trees, luckily not much damage done.

Mizqtie: I've sent you a PM for adding to FB. Claire changes her routine too just when I start to get used to it so we end up with no routine, just going along with whatever she wants.

Renee: Good on you for getting a big sleep. 4 hours of sleep sounds so divine!

KayleeF: Yay on establishing a routine. I haven't been doing much ard the house either, just bits n pieces then DH does most of the cleaning. I just focus on getting Claire happy and feeding myself in between and also sleeping when I can during the day. My friend gave me some really good advice... she said no one will know if u don't do the dishes or laundry or clean the floors but you will regret if you miss out on ur baby's growing up coz it only happens once. You can get the swaddle blankets from mothercare or baby bunting or online.

Mrs Bexie: Love the photos and videos of C swimming! She looks so cute hanging on to ur DH and you. Ouch to the bum and hoohaa rash. I try to use cotton balls and water at home to clean her bum instead of the wipes then dry with tissue paper. Found it so much more gentle on her skin plus it's cheaper too! Still use the wipes when we're out coz it's most convenient. Seafood buffet.... YUM!!!

Babyluv: Do you use ur ergo with the newborn insert? So you have S facing you with her in the insert? I just found that Claire doesn't seem to like that position much and was wondering if there was another position I could have her in. She also seems to get a little too hot in the carrier sometimes.

So tempted to get a swaddle coz Claire keeps getting her little hands out of the muslin wraps. She gets really angry when there's a delay in getting her milk and scratches her face and pulls her hair! Also thinking of getting a BF pillow, coz she's getting heavier n my arms are getting sore supporting her, both wrists are now really sore. Any good BF pillows to recommend? Just gonna be staying at home and staying cool coz it's gonna be 40 degrees today. Thank god we've got air conditioning!

I just had a friend drop in with her 1 year old, sheesh they are so distructive!! She was also really scared of the kitties!! But we got our first invitation to a party

I may con hubby in going to Watergardens today so we can use up some of the vouchers, i need matress protectors for the cot and our bed as I AM LEAKING sooo much milk! He still doesnt have a play mat, Babybuntings is a bit far, unless hubby would want to go there. then we can go to highpoint instead. They have a few cheap shops and i really need some new clothes My pre preg clothes are too small still, and my maternaty ones are too big!

Liam has had such a good sleep, i had to wake up twice to make sure he was ok!! he slept from 12:30 am till 7:30 I feel so refreshed!
He had two hours of cluster feeding and i just gave him a bottle, he has only drank half of it and is now asleep! Time to get some stuff done around the house!!

Bexie I hope you get some sleep today!

Caixlin, my MIL bought me one from BIGw but its flat and i dont really like it, i believe it is designed for people whom are a bit taller. but i know what you mean my arms and wrists are getting so sore! I use a triangle pillow and that seems to work pretty tempted to buy a BF pillow though.

Lil_mrs I am going to see if they have that at my target, we have a snuggli holder thing, but i dont really like it.

babyluv, Ill have a look at the ergo carrier!

Mizqtie: Aww to your DS1 it must be so hard, hopefully things will settle down soon!! and he wont feel so jealous!! Cleaning sucks!

MrsBexie: Sorry to hear about your night. How is she today?

Caixin: yea we use the insert and she faces us. Sienna is a bit too small I think to use it without it, but maybe you should try it without the insert. We have the ergo sport which is made from lightweight cotton and it has an air pocket thingy in the front for airflow. She does get warm but we just dress her in less if it's going to be warm, she never complains when in it, she loves it

KayleeF: Good to hear your little man is sleeping well, so is S at night
Have fun shopping! You're brave venturing out in the heat!

40 degrees here today, staying inside where it's cool!

I am about to have a big cry, nothing fits !! everything just digs into my skin!! I swore my clothes looked better while i was pregnant! :/
What are you girls wearing? Leggings still?? is anyone else having the same problem with the elastic digging into the skin so you get an extra large muffin top all the way around??

I havent ventured out of the house yet, but the house is starting to warm up. i'd love to be at the pool!

KayleeF: I don't fit into any of my pre-preg clothes either... my thighs are way too big to fit into the pants and they don't button up either. I'm still wearing my pregnancy pants and shorts and I've got 2 breastfeeding t shirts that I live in. Very sad. I've just ordered some funky breastfeeding tops from US hopefully they arrive. I was using a normal pillow but it's way too low and I'm getting sore shoulders.

Babyluv: I think Claire's too small to use without the insert too and I do like how it supports her head and neck. Might have to try it again with her stripped down probably not today when it's 40 degrees outside.
