I'm not buying new clothes until I lose my baby weight!

im still wearing my clothes i had while pg....

Kmart had some nice skirts and shorts for $19 each when pg around the tops are stretchy elastic so i can still wear them, the reason you girls dont fit pre pg clothes is cause your hips get wider being pregnant and take 2yrs to go back down

Umm, mizqtie.. the reason my clothes don't fit is because I am 9kgs heavier than when I bought them... not cause my hips got wider. My ar*e got bigger, my thighs got fatter, my tummy is fatter. I won't fit my clothes until I lose the 9kgs or more.

Kirsten is already back in her pre preg clothes so that's not true it takes 2 years.

kaylee: Nothing of mine fits either. So I am stuck in between maternity and pre-preg clothes with like 3-4 things to wear! I am starting walking 3 times a week this week and going to get my weights out now my hip seems to be doing well! Not going to go too hard though... still only gave birth 4 weeks ago and my body is recovering!!

It can take 3 months for the weight to fall off with breastfeeding too.. at first it may not seem like anymore weight will fall off but it will!

Oh and I use the Ergo with the heart 2 heart insert, does get a bit hot, but just put them in a nappy or a singlet too. I have a mei tai wrap too but the straps aren't long enough so have to sew on more material! DH says it's for midgets! hahaha...

Kaylee i am still wearing pg clothes also and the belly belt with my shorts as they don't do up. But my tummy is so disgusting as it stretched so much carrying her it is just like a floppy pancake!!!! So gross!!!! I don't think it will ever recover! 7hrs sleep go Liam!!!!

Mizqtie i just sent a friend request to you on facebook, Renee Taylor, Ava is my pic!

Little_mrs, Thanks i am much happier now. Wonder woman mowing the lawn and cleaning your house top to bottom!!! I'm not even allowed to vaccum the floors it is driving me crazy! I don't think i will last the recommended 6 wks before doing anything! We managed to get ava to bed at 9 last night and she slept till 2 then up at 6 so i think it is definatley worth trying to keep her up that little bit later.

For those who asked i got my swaddle from babies galore and the breastfeeding pillow from target.

Ava slept for 3 hrs today while we were shopping!!! Yeah! I have started to give her a dummy during those screaming periods. DH doesn't really want her to have it but he is never here during her 2-3hr screaming sessions!!!!

Bex: What's the heart 2 heart insert? Is that the insert I have? The one that comes with the ergo?

My clothes don't fit because I have about 7kg to lose off everywhere

Its the new insert, there is another one that is older. Have no idea what the old one looks like, but mine has a big padded block at the bottom of the insert, it has a strap going across to tighten and loosen the insert while she is inside it and it is padded around the whole outside bit. Lol hard to explain! I am sure you have the new insert cause they aren't selling the old one anymore really.

Renee: yay for Ava!!! That sleeping is awesome!! And with the dummy, if it keeps Ava happy and you sane for that screaming period go for it!!! I've tried one with C but she just won't take one...
Don't do anything before you are allowed cause you don't want to do any damage to the wound n stuff!

No need to roll your eyes, I was just stating there is no thing that says it will take 2 years to come off. I just found that comment very de-motivating and depressing, it's not true and we can get back into pre-preg clothes in under 2 years..
We have to encourage each other and stay positive cause right now I know a lot of us are feeling very down about our bodies... Me very much so! So comments like that don't really help. That's all I was saying, but it doesn't matter because you removed the comment anyways. So moving on.

i didnt remove it, a mod must have
and i didnt mean anything nasty out of it, must have come across the wrong way

i know its heartbreaking putting on weight but embrace your body hun its just grown a beautiful healthy baby, be proud of that!! (some people dont get that chance to even experience that)

    But yes lets move on!

I really think K has wind still or is teething his gums are white as and he LOVES when we stick his dummy in the freezer (normally wont accept a dummy, but after its been in the freezer he does) and babies who are teething LOVE cold things to chew on to help ease the pain!!
We took the boys swimming this afternoon, Z loved it and K didnt cry bit weird when he crys in the bath

MrsBexie: Hun there is no way it will take 2 yrs to get back into your pre Preg clothes. I've got plenty of friends who are back into their clothes within months of having their bubs. A cpl weeks ago I couldn't even get my jeans up, now they go up but I can't button them. It's fat stopping my clothes fitting & with exercise & healthy eating I'll get back into my clothes and you will too Hun, we'll do it together!
It's great to embrace your body for the wonderful miracle it has produced but there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to get back in shape and with support and encouragement we will all be healthy and happy with our bodies in no time

Thanks Babyluv. We can be each others motivation. I can't get my jeans past mid thigh... but mind you my pre-preg jeans are like size 8... and I am currently a size 12-14! Boo.

Mizqtie, you prob didn't mean anything by it, but it did come across wrong. It's all good now.
Do you really think bub is teething at 6 weeks old?? That's way too early. It's prob just wind.

I am proud of what my body has done, I have a baby to prove that... doesn't mean I have to love the fat left over.. the stretch marks and cellulite that are gross. I love my baby and I love that I grew her and delivered her, it was a right of passage for me to do this, but I can still hate what is left over! lol... I still want my body back cause now the baby is out. I have no excuses now...

MrsBexie: Hun the weight will just drop off in the next few weeks, you watch in a cpl weeks your pants will go up, you'll see. I was the same a cpl weeks ago. I agree with what your saying about your body, I loved having cellulite free legs & don't really want to embrace the fact my legs are now covered in it from the knees up. I am so in love with my daughter, feel so empowered to have given birth to my daughter, it wasn't easy for us to conceive her & she is a blessing but I still hat that my body is a big bowl of jelly right now. Wobble wobble

Mizqtie: 6 weeks is too early to be teething, like Mrs Bexie said it's most likely wind, have you tried infacol? I recently started using gripe water which bub loves and it works really well, give it a go

6wks isnt too young, because teeth dont come up straight away they play games with them in the gums, and it can go on for months!!!
Some babies are born with teeth already, others can get their first tooth at 4-5 months, every baby is dierent and being able to go on for months it just is more then likely possible
Z teethed for months before a tooth showed up
I use 'Infants Friend' it does wind but can ease pain of aching gums too...I found Infacol didnt work very good...Ive heard gripe water is good but never used it

Im going to buy a wii fit tomorrow (if i can be bothered to drive half an hour into the shops) to get fitter
I was a size 12 before getting preg and im probably about a 14-16 now

Babyluv: the wobble wobble got me laughing!!!! I swear I say that in my head when I walk or run! Haahaha...

I've started bleeding again. I was only getting brownish mucus and barely any, but still wearing just normal day pads just in case, and in the last 3 days I have gotten bright red fresh blood. It's not heaps, but more than the mucus. I asked my MW and she Said if it gets heavy talk to my dr but if it stays light it can be normal for the bleeding to stop and start. Its just annoying Cause I've run out of pads so will have to go down and buy some tomorrow!! Might take the pram and walk down! Get my exercise for the day!

Bex- i hope the bleeding isnt serious
My midwife told me if i started getting bright red blood again to go see a dr straight away as it could mean i had an infection, are you feeling sick? hot flushes? sore abdomen (i mean still really tender)? if yes to all these id go see your GP OR you could quite possibly be starting to heamoragge just becareful
Heamoragging isnt fun i did straight after i had DS1 as my placenta didnt come away so had to go into theatre and have it removed, then when i come out i got given blood transfusions cause i lost so much blood over half of your bodys blood i lost ver scary and not fun at all especially just after having a bub

Feeling a little off but both me n DH are, we are getting a flu or something. My tummy isn't sore, the bleeding isn't heavy but I'll keep my eye on it.

MrsBexie: What a nuisance I'm sure it's nothing to worry about hun. How long ago did your bleeding stop before it started again? Could it be AF or is it too early? How did C sleep last night? I'm loving my walks at the moment, hope it's not too hot up there for you. It was 40 here yest & is supposed to be 39 today.

AFM: S was so unsettled last night, it was horrible!
I've got my first mums group today @ 2pm & I'm dreading it. 11 ppl in my group, I hate new situations & I really don't like not knowing anyone.

Babyluv: C is 4 weeks old today so it's too early for AF! I think it is normal as long as it's not too heavy.
C is feeding now. She didn't even stay asleep 2hrs from her last full feed! And my back really hurts from feeding n holding her... Nothing I can do about that!
You will be great today and you will make friends with some other first time mums! As hard as it is to go into new situations like that, it'll be awesome to connect with other people!!!

    Did sienna settle at all?
