PP - yes 2 hours, getting the kids dressed and ready and than myself. When a baby is in the picture it takes alittle longer as they always have a throw up or a nappy change...... Yay for saying NO, I did a couple of weeks ago as they always drop in on the way down to Canberra and I told them we won't be here as we are going away..... I hate having them here she dosen't do a thing and cooking for an extra 3 people as kevins brother always comes down with them, is alot of work plus looking after the kids.... I just wish she would say cathie do you need any help...... When we go up to see them we don't stay with them as there is too many of us and I don't expect her to cook for all of us.
Audax - poor Eleanor ..... When charlie got his last jabs he didn't cry...
MadB - How long dose it take to be trained?
Afm - Sam slept all night yay, but Hana decided to get up twice. They just wake up and decide to come and see me..... Charlie sleeps from 9.30pm to 9.00am... go figure.. We still haven't decided on a boys name, do you ladies have any ideas. We have to find somewhere for this little fellow to live...Another room or with charlie...

Hi all,
Oooo Cathie, I love Adam for a boy, but I know I won't get to use it if this one is a boy as DH is still hung up on our male name for Millie... so you can use it for me
Audax, congrats on doing the ABA training too! Your DH is a total gem - I love that he buys you fabric! My DH is tolerant of my fabric purchases... very proud of the eventual creations but a bit "oh, more fabric?" about the initial purchase... I do have a pretty extensive stash though. I'm with MadB - do you have pics of your creations you can share? I love that Nell put on her hat and asked for a biscuit - "hat" and "shoes" are usually Millie's first words of a morning. Such a girlie girl :)
I asked my friend for my mat clothes back today - she stared at me for a bit then flew at me, gibbering happily :) She's one of my very best friends, and while I'm not sharing the news widely for a bit longer, some people you just have to tell. Preferably in person for the facial expression and the hugs.
MadB I saw your creativity with the dyes! I'm not game after some shockers in junior textiles classes!
Millie has taken awhile to settle the last couple of nights. Maybe the vaccs? That's the only thing I can think of. It's not a problem, it seems to just take a bit of rocking to relax her enough to put her down. Given that she's usually an, "I'm fine, night Mum" kind of kid, the extra cuddles are soooooo nice.
Off to babylab again tomorrow, then there's a petting zoo at the local shopping centre that I'm dying to take her to!
Night all.

We're all packed and ready to go. Just have to sleep and wake up and get in the car. Please pray for a smooth road trip girls. I really hope the kids cope ok.
Last night wasn't as smooth, DH didn't have as much of an effect on Harper but there was no feed between 1ish and 6am. There is something oh so very precious about going into your little one and just being able to whisper a few words and hold them in you arms to make them forget all their worries and just relax.
Audax i said something similar to DH, if he can do the wake up for a week or so and get Haper comfortable with waking and settling without a feed we will hopefuly get to the point where either of us are sufficiant for a hug but no feed is expected.
Cathie i dont' really have any boy names, i always thought Harper would be a girl so i didn't think too hard when expecting her. Not that it helps but i do love Sam :)
PP hope Millie settles, i know the hugs are lovely but just so she's her happy little self again.
Must go i really should not be sitting here. I have just spent the week putting my whole cd collection onto my iPod. Over 3500 songs. Won't get bored on our road trip. Kids have got their moves and we've got our music.
Stay well, healthy and happy girls and i'll catch up with you all again in two weeks xoxoxoxox

Myles is my boy's name that I'm never allowed to use :)
I also like Nathaniel.
Training takes 12 months... in theory... it often ends up taking longer :) Life etc happens
Have a fabulous trip EJ!
:D That's really cool she was so excited pixie

Oh MadB Myles made me think of Miller and i also love Nate.

Hi there ladies!!! I have been so busy from Eden's birthday party, through Christmas and with all the birthday parties I have been attending this month, it's been insane! I have another two birthday parties this weekend then I am hosting a Party Lite party next weekend so still a little busy.
Firstly a huge congrats PP... What wonderful news. Cathie & Charlotte I hope you are both feeling well
All is doing well here. Eden is growing so quick. He is picking up new sign language every day but seems to actually say the words too, which is great. Byron dropped the sign when he started talking. It only takes me a few minutes to teach Eden a new word.
I had to attend to Eden at 2.20 this morning, for the first time in I don't how long. I'm not sure what happened but he woke up sooooo upset, crying & blubbering. Are they too young to have nightmares? Thankfully he settled quite easily with some patting on the bum but gees, he was so upset. We had been out at a friends place for a BBQ and he didn't get to bed till around 8.45pm so perhaps he was just over stimulated or over tired or something
Our weaning is going great. We've been down to one feed, before bed at night, which is really working right now. I'm happy to keep this feed at the moment as it is reassuring to know he's getting the nutrients when he hasn't eaten much dinner (which happens occaisionally). Thankfully with each feed I have dropped, I have managed to drop some kilos too. Weird, but that's the way my body works. I guess when I drop the last feed I should drop another couple of kgs then I will actively need to try to get rid of the rest. Eden is more than happy with no boob, in fact, he couldn't care less. He has even tried to refuse his night feeds occaisionally but I have been a little persistant to make him have them. So I know there will be no issue to drop it when I finally decide to.
EJ - I can't remeber when I was last on here so can't remember if I told you that I finished my taggie blankie for Eden. I was so darn proud of myself. I'll have to email you a pic. I then decided to do a bigger project & make Byron a blanket. I have yet to put the backing on it as I didn't buy enough material, silly duffer I am... I just went back to spotlight yesterday to buy some that will fit. So i'm hoping to have it finished today. I also bought some fabric to match a nappy cover that Eden has and cut out a plane and a circle and sewed it onto a singlet so he has a matching outfit. I'm not sure what my next project will be but I am thinking a pair of shorts for eden to match the singlet!
I better run, but will try to catch up this week

KAZ!!!!!!!!!!! HIIIIIIIII!!!!! I've missed you :) and :happybirthday:
Georgi, I'd love to see a pic of Eden's blankie as well! Sounds like weaning is going well for you guys.
MadB, I like those names too. DH reckons we're having another girl, but he was certain we were having a boy last time sooo... :)
EJ, thinking of you and your 3,500 songs - safe and happy travels!
Millie slept through the babylab appointment today, so I've rescheduled for next week. She loooooved the petting zoo though - patted a lamb quite gently, gibbered a bit over the ducks and chooks, lost her mind over the sleeping piglet and kept saying "moo, moo, moo" at the cow. She's such a funny kid!
Oof, tired. Hope you're all well.

Robbie is my boys name that I love. Eleanor would have been Henry if she was a boy.
Georgi I have just made some little taggies, need gifts for the baby boom in our circle! Theres some pics http://weirdoatmytable.wordpress.com They're so much fun to make, although as I recall yours are a bit more elaborate than mine.
We had a revolting day today. Early start meant early nap, meant short afternoon nap in the pram home from swimming, meant untested, uncoordinated, unable to cope with disasters like not being able to get the shape sorter lid on straight! And I had some kitchen fail, and I'm pre-menstrual and I wasn't coping either! And all the rain is making the washing difficult. The next load will be hung out under the neighbours house, we've run out of space! Luckily I have waaaaaay too many nappies.
Just finished the book I started reading while pregnant.
-
HAHAHA cathie. that would have been embarrassing if I'd said girl (sorry, between this page and the last I'd already forgotten you'd found out! I'm really tired and vague)
love the name of your blog - but the link doesn't work?
oh dear! well done finishing your book finally :) was it worth the wait?
-
A - The link doesn't work
I will upload the blankie pics to FB & post the link here. I finished Byron's blanket yesterday and he took it to bed last night - awwwwww
-
Hi all!
Audax, very creative and I love what you do with food! (web browser offered me an alternative to the broken link and it took me to the right spot.) What was the book out of interest?
hee hee... I'm not getting any notion yet with this one. I am getting a massive belly though, my goodness.
Millie slept til 7.10 this morning - DH had already left for work and she started asking for "Dad dad? Dad dad?" So I popped him on speaker phone and she was laughing and carrying on. So sweet :)

I fixed the link. I was doing it on the iPad, at which I am a total noob, and I suspected it wouldn't work.
The book was Tuesdays with Morrie. I enjoyed it, but it was such a good handbag book (nice and small) that I only read it when I was out, and then kind of forgot about it. In between I read a few others, including Elliot Perlman's The Street Sweeper - OMG awesome.
Pixxie, I call boy for you.
Little girl is standing up with no hands for ages today, and she knows she's doing it too! Walkage is imminent!
-
madB - That's fine I did tell everyone a few weeks ago hahahahha. That would have been funny if you did say girl, but I have been having dreams lately that i give birth to a girl.... very werid....
PP - what's going on with the school certificate this year......
Georgi - Hello :hello:
Audax - I would love to read a book, I am looking at going to UNI next year to upgrade my qualifications.... very clever Eleanor, before you know it she will be walking everywhere....
I'm well
cathie :)

heys ladies. Can't believe how many are up the duff! thanks for the birthday wishes.
Took Will down to the ducks today and fed them, he was having so much fun! (well, when he wasn't trying to eat the bread!) and said "duck duck" all the way home. He's walking so well, talking isn't the best, but geeeeeeeze he can eat! I swear he's eating more than me!
catchya soon
