I'm sorry I've been missing lately. I've been reading along as always and it sounds like everyone is doing so well! Lovely hearing about all the pregnancies, I hope you're feeling well Cathie, Char and PP! :hug: incredibly happy for you all, you're all making me feel very clucky!

MadB and Audax, I'm so excited about you two doing your ABA training...that is awesome!! I called the ABA after I had Jacob and I would not have continued breastfeeding had I not had the support of such wonderful helpful ladies!

All is going along well here. Jacob is very independant, wants to walk through the shopping centre, climb the stairs etc himself. He dances alllll the time and absolutely adores the wiggles, it's so cute. He does a "move like an emu" move that cracks everyone up :) He also loves books, so a lot of my day is spent with him bringing a book over to me and climbing on my lap :)

We're still bf'ing here, I am still getting the questions and comments about it but don't really care anymore. I am happy with how things are so I'm just going with the flow. I only do it at home in a bedroom so I hardly see how it affects others. Sleep is still hit and miss but we survive. He seems to be teething again but when he's not he tends to only wake once a night which is wonderful!

Other than that, same old here. Enjoying things slowing down after christmas and new years...

oh and :hello: Kaz!! I have missed you too!! Will has gotten soooo big, he's such a handsome little man.

Glad to read all is well in here. My poor little fella is a little off. He's just cut a bottom molar and I found the two top ones are just piercing through the gum too. Ouch! I can also now see his eye teeth making their way down. I know it's probably going to be a little while yet before they actually cut but gee, he must be feeling it. I'm changing a pooey nappy at least 5 times a day at the moment. They just don't stop. He's been off his food for a couple of days which I can totally understand why. Byron has had a high temp for a couple of days and i'm praying that Eden doesn't get it too.

We are off to Sydney next week for DH's grandfathers funeral. So sad :( So I won't be around too much. I'll check in before I go though

Your poor little man with all those teeth!! At least he seems to be getting them out of the way quickly.

Glad to hear things are settling down with the sleep Jules! Really glad to hear that the ABA helped you so much :) I'm sure the counsellors would love getting that sort of feedback.

Uni! What fun! Do you guys know what you want to do? I've been back twice now lol, though I didn't finish the 2nd (3rd) time. it's on a list of things to get done sometime....somewhere.... I have nearly finished my first assessment for training though. practically on fire.

MADB - Yes, I was thinking the same. Let's get them all out at once and move on lol.

A - Hope your trip isn't too bad. I'm lucky I love going to my in laws. My MIL is awesome. I am closer to her than what I am with my own mother.

Just had a read to catch up and it sounds like things are great. Sorry that you have a funeral to go to though Georgi, i hope your husband and family are ok.

We had a great holiday, the place was beautiful the weather was perfect and the kids loved it. It's been such a busy few days. We got home about 9:30pm Friday night, unpacked Saturday and had my brothers engagement party that night. DH came down sick so i'm sure you all know what that means... an extra child in the house. And to make things even tricker yesterday i went to the Big Day Out with my friend. She got two tickets for Christmas. It was a great day and i had so much fun but the timing of DH being sick and that day was not great. I came to a filthy house and have just finished getting it back in order.

Will hopefully try and catch up properly over the next few days or so. All kids had huge accomplishments while we were away. Harper Barper finally has her first tooth!!

Be back as soon as i can girls.

The house we've been saving and saving for had an offer on it and in a moment of stupidity the owner turned it down (and then lowered the house to that price)

Real estate agent rings me this morning and the house is back on the market! The offer'er'ers (lol) son was in a car accident and wrecked the car. (he's fine). He was over .06 so they had no insurance and can no longer buy the house!!

There is no-one else interested in the house and we are due to start moving on the house this/next week!!

Woo hoo Charlotte. That is great, an unusual chain of events that worked out for the best in your favour. I meant to say ages ago when you were looking/searching/putting offers in, that we also found buying a house so stressful and depressing. I hope all is on the up side for you guys from now :)

Just a quick one from me as I'm back to work tomorrow (as DH points out I really can't complain, but sheesh I'm so sick and tired at the moment I just don't know how I'm going to keep it together!) and need to pack my bag, Millie's daycare bag, make sure work pants still fit etc etc...

We went away for a long weekend out to Mudgee. Beautiful area and we would love to move there should DH be able to find work. Unfortunately the first night we were there we had to take Millie to the ED with what looked suspiciously like an asthma attack. Of course the doc said "we don't diagnose children this young with asthma, but..." so another course of prednisone, more ventolin, and as of today, antibiotics. Again. My poor monkey. BUT she also took her first steps! She had my iPod in her hand and was grooving to Bruno Mars, I was sitting on the floor and she walked three steps into my arms! She had repeated it a few times since, she took six steps across the lounge room today. So proud of her!

I read "Life in a Jar" yesterday, the Irena Sendler story. Has anyone heard of her? Oh my gosh... Catholic Polish woman who helped hide Jewish children during the war. Heartbreaking. I kept dreaming last night that someone was trying to convince me to give Millie up to save her life. Not a restful night's sleep at all.

I have not heard of Life In a Jar but last night i watched Australian Story (a repeat i think) of Sabina Wolanski and she also has a book of her life story. About being hidden away and loosing all members of her family. I find stories from those times facinating but also so very heartbreaking.

Audax i too finished a book last month that i had been reading most of the year. There was a time there that i'd manage a page a night before i could no longer keep my eyes open.

I have two extras today, 5 kids... Just going to relax and enjoy the day i think.

Well the ILs wasn't so bad after all. Maybe I even enjoyed it a little? Just a little. My MIL has made a huuuuge effort, and she still doesn't quite get it, but for the most part she was quite bearable. Nellie took three steps into her arms on Sunday, and then at the airport she kept jumping out of my arms to follow them. So she had an ace time.

But now I have soooo much washing to do and we have come home to a musty, damp revolting house full of gecko poo. Hmph.

Thanks EJ, yesterday was okay. Although people are staring not-so-surreptitiously at my tummy. Yes, nine weeks and I already have a visible bump. Millie was on fire when I picked her up from daycare, she walked over to me, more or less crawled into my arms, waved and said "bye bye" to everyone, and then babbled about her day til we got her home. She even ate tuna casserole for dinner which she has baulked at before! It was a long day though, the executive meeting went til 5 so I didn't get to pick her up til 5.45, at which point DH was getting off the train (I can see the station from the daycare centre!) so I picked him up too. It was nice to get home and have dinner together.

Hi ladies,

Just a quick one, all is well my way. Charlie is such a little devil, he throws tantrums every 2 seconds when he can't have something he wants. Oh well he will just have to get over it heheheh .He plays really well with the other kids, he just sits with them and watches what they are doing he has to be involved in everything, very cute.

He runs everywhere and he talks and talks and talks we have no idea what he is saying but at least he does.......

Hope everyone is well and that your all enjoying every moment with your little one's. Before you know it they will be turning 16 and getting there L"S OMG !!!!!!!

PP so good that Mille has so much to say. I bet you can't wait to know exactly what it is she wants to tell you.

Charlie boy sounds like a happy little man Cathie. Oh no on the L's, who's going to be the one teaching him to drive?

MadB good to know things are coming along well for you guys. What's your little man up to this year? School or Kinder?

How are the boys Georgi? And the sewing? I haven't done any for a while, i really want to try and get back into it.

I finally feel like my normal self again after a holiday and a really busy few days as soon as we returned. I ended up getting some of DH's germs and felt pretty crappy this week. But Harper Barper must have realised that i really needed my sleep and the last two nights she's slept 9pm-5:30am and 7:30pm-5am. I sooo needed the sleep i got those two nights because i was feeling beyond tired for a bit there, i was exhausted.

So i've been working on Harper's sleep, still no feeding to sleep, some nights if she does wake are a challenge to get her back to sleep but i'm trying. She got her first tooth which was not noticable in anyway at all and was walking around freely in the water with the support of a blow up ring while we were away. We have seen her on a couple of occasions go from squating to standing on her own and tonight getting ready to hop in the bath she stood with her arms in the air while i took her clothes off. I suspect we may not be too far off. I just continue to be amazed at the communication with the boys. And being home has finally given her a chance to play independantly again, it was a little tricky not being able to let her crawl around.

So we're back into the full swing of things all our activities are back on this week so it's time to see how all these kinder sessions are going to fit in with the younger ones and their sleep.

MadB, hullo!

All good here, Millie has started on Flixotide (asthma preventer) and is doing well so far. We got the prescription in December from the paed, but she said to hold off and see how she went over summer... two months on I say: "what summer??!!" I think if it hadn't been so cold and wet we could have got by without it, but she has been so unwell and I know what it feels like not to have full lung capacity, so when the GP brought it up we agreed to try her on it.

She's loving daycare, although there's some new little ones and she is a bit jealous - apparently she was very miffed when Jess, her favourite carer, was cuddling one of the little ones... uh-oh. On the other hand, we met one of my best friends' new baby boy on Monday and was quite nice to him, so we'll see how she goes.

I'm hanging out to see The Face of Birth in March... organising to go with girls from my MG and as DH will be away I have already asked my sister to babysit Millie.

I'm so tired and brain dead - thinking of you all.
