You've had such a hard time lately, I hope it's easing up for you. Hows Harper going without zantac?? I've taken Jacob off it too... Crumpet - Thanks, it was very scary... His testing is on the 11th August, so we'll have more answers then...until then he just has to keep the epi pen with him. I just hope that I never have to do it FOR him... Summah is such a lucky little girl!! I say go with what you want for sure, if you wanna spoil her then spoil her. We're keeping it pretty low key cause Jacob is going to be spoilt by everyone else but at the same time, we're still spoiling him a little ;)
Cathie - I SO don't envy your shopping list for christmas, but I can imagine the pure joy in your house on christmas morning!! :)
Audax - Wow, you really WERE on top of the mother gig!! You make it sound a breeze! I have to ask...do you prefer a mei tei or an ergo?? I'm considering getting an ergo, Jacob can be a little clingy sometimes and I just don't get things done...

Re: Christmas and b'day... I read something somewhere (story of my life) that the German Christmas tradition is to give a child five things - something to eat, something to wear, something to play with, something to read/learn, something to spend. I kinda like that. We're looking into getting Millie a Laufrad, a bike without pedals. Apparently it's really good for their hips/leg alignment and they get their balance to the point where, once you put them on a regular bike they just go... but will have to import it from Germany so it will be for Christmas, not b'day. B'day will probably be a fold out lounge thingie, but need to find one that is not bloody Bratz or princesses. Hah, good luck with that, right?
Audax, :LOL: at the milk carton/breadclip toy. Millie will swipe all her toys off the highchair table but keep hold of a catalogue (or pieces thereof) forever.
Cathie, can you chat with your obs or GP about it? DH and I have had a good chat about it and I'm going off the pill next month to try and chart my cycle - not that we had trouble last time but I don't want to go back on the pill in between #2 and #3 (hee hee, planning ahead) so need to actually know how long my cycles are. Will start trying later in the year.
So, the trip was awesome and went soooo quickly. It's like we brought home a different baby, she has grown and developed so much :) All too quickly she's 8 months old and I'm back at work. Sigh. We were both okay, I had a huge sook on Monday night but as Millie was okay on Tuesday morning, so was I. It is hard not to speed on the way to pick her up, I miss her so much during the day. We never actually did the sums to figure out if I really *need* to be back at work, I just assumed that I'd want to and would be ready to after 8 months. I don't and I'm not. But there I go, because I said I would. The five weeks together has changed DH's mindset too - he wants to find work much closer to home as he realised how much he misses out on.
We had a nice day today - went to Parra Park cafe for lunch. Unfortunately Millie has rediscovered her gift for soprano squealing and shattered the serenity a little! This evening she squealed almost non-stop for 2 hours. In a tiled, open-plan house, it ECHOES like crazy and can be quite painful.
I'm off to my GP tomorrow - I have done something odd to my wrist and can barely lift Millie now. Not good.
I'm knackered so will sign off but hope to be in touch more often! Thinking of you all xox

Charlotte how is Hannah going with her mobility?? Getting a bit more used to tummy time and rolling and how much is available to her when she realises she can maybe reach it!?!
MadB, i second the sleep, how is Miri going? Harper is pretty good but still about 3 or 4 wakes a night. I usually get to the 8 month mark and try to start giving hugs and settling without a feed every wake up. We'll see though because i can't afford to be lacking in too much sleep.
Crumpet enough for Christmas and Birthday is what you feel comfotable with. Last year as i was setting things out under the tree i realised it was probably a little too much and i put some away for birthdays :lol: How is the ditching of the dummy going after a few nights??
Audax i'm not sure if it was slippery elm (you're the second one to have mentioned that though :)) i'll find out. Good on your for ingnoring the housework and sewing some dresses. I finished off a quilt on the weeknd (my 1st one!!) I wish i could do it more but the second i sit down the boys don't leave me alone. Charlie liks to take off the with the tape measures and cutting boards. I really like your idea with birthday and christmas presents :)
Just a little whinge about gifts and my family.... I have 12 neices and nephews on my DH's side of the family and as the family has grown the $ limit has had to lessen so it's manageable for each family. We're down to $20 but sometimes it can be so difficult to find something that's not crappy for that amount. So this year i suggested that we do a kris kringle between the children and increase the limit and it was fine with everyone but DH's sister. She doesn't want to do that, she said she 'enjoys buying for her neices and nephews and as my MIL was an only child they don't have cousins so they never used to receive anything from aunts and uncles'. I understand that but the kids get soooo much and to me all i see is them open a present, chuck it to the side and wonder what's next because of the sheer volume of it all. It's not about the amount!!!! I love Christmas but the financial stress can really get to me...
Jules that book is a good little one, all the numbers or names of the preservatives are listed and all you have to look at is if they have a smiley face or sad face next to them. Great to have in your bag when you do a grocery shop. Like PP said also 220 is in sooooo much and it's nasty. Surprisingly it's in alot of what you find in the 'health food aisle' driend fruit and saltantas. I won't buy any dried fruit (i do bake with it sometimes though) and you can buy the organic saltantas without the 220. How have you found Jacob since going off zantac. Harper is doing pretty well, the only thing i have noticed is that she does bring up a little more in her burps (that was not happening) and some feeds she is quite irritated and pulls off and hops back on a lot. I've given her the stuff the natropath gave me a couple of times. But overall she's great. Hope it's similar for Jacob.
PP i like the bike i've seen similar ones and i love the idea of the German Christmas :) I'm with you i want to get Harper a little suitcase because they are the perfect size for camping but i dont' want a bratz or dora one. She can have that stuff when she's old enough to ask for it.... if she insists... I'm so happy you guys had a wonderful time away and got so much out of being a family.
So like i said to Jules we're going ok without the zantac, a few little signs still show but they aren't causing anywhere near the issues they did when she was a little one. She's using her knees so much and yesterday i saw her move forward like a catapillar. Sitting a little bit but i won't leave her to do it herself yet. Just have to share, it's a really crazy only a mum could be excited about kind of thing but Aidan for a long time now when he goes to the toilet to do #2 he'll sit there for some time and it's always quite softish (sorry girls) and i mentioned this to the natropath and she said to try him with some of the pro biotic stuff she'd given me and i was every excited yesterday when he went and it was done in a minute and it was one firm piece. I mentioned this to the dr so long ago and he said it was normal for some small children to have loosish bowels but maybe not so much!??! Anyway just wanted to share... I'm ok, considering going to the dr's again but i just so sick of spending money on myself. Better go i'm sure i've said enough for the week :redface:

Everything is 'fine' here. Hannah's teething again. Top tooth this time. Hopefully it doesn't take as long as last time. She was awake for 3 hours this morning, screaming and screaming. But, the panadol finally kicked in and she's been asleep for an hour now.
We went to the Halls Gap zoo on the weekend with my folks, 2 brothers, and Nana. Hannah was an angel. She was awake all the way there (3 hour drive) and fell asleep as we got into Halls Gap. Woke her, gave her a bottle and she slept all the way around the Zoo. DP and I went with SIL in September but its a fantastic zoo. It only cost us 20 bucks to get in.
Off for another house inspection on Wednesday. The same house we looked at a few weeks ago. We're in the process of getting a loan, talking to Aussie homeloans. They're awesome, so nice. The house needs work, but we really want it. DP's job is very secure so there's no worries about him losing it.
Hannah is loving sitting up in the washing basket. When she's on the floor she flips over onto her belly and will stay there for up to 20 minutes now, she has a rest every now and then. She can't go anywhere, but she's starting to kick her legs around and stretch her arms out in front of her and 'scratch' at the carpet. So, she's trying to move!!
Got my cloth nappies, they're great. Except Hannah's still a bit little and they've leaked out the leg a few times.
Haven't even thought about Christmas too much. We bought Hannah a little pull out sofa, just one of foam ones. It was 15 dollars in Kmart.
I don't want to go overboard, with her birthday being only 2 weeks before Christmas. Kmart's toys are getting really cheap, so we'll probably just pick her up a few things.

EJ if it's still not right then you may need to spend the money on yourself... sounds like you're getting somewhere by going all natural, but if you need to check in, then don't put your own health on the backburner. Glad Miss Barper is not too refluxy without the zantac - fingers crossed she has grown out of it. Awesome that Aiden is having a better time on the loo!
Speaking of money, I have just discovered that we probably won't get any childcare rebate. Holy moly. We are quite comfortable and want for nothing (mind you, we rent rather than own our own place) and I am happy to pay my taxes and don't expect hand outs etc etc... but WOW it costs a lot. Like I said last night we didn't really do the sums to see if I needed to go back to work... I think perhaps we should have! Will certainly rethink things when #2 comes along.
Went to my GP this morning and apparently it's tendonitis. Not sure how I did it, more than likely lifting Millie at some point. I took the opportunity to weigh and measure her (the nurse wasn't in yet but I just swiped the scales and measuring thingie :)) and she's bang on 9kg clothed, and 71.5cm long!

Welcome back PP! Glad you guys had fun! Hope your wrist gets better. Rest up! Balance bikes are ace - you can get them here without importing. We got the WeeRide model for my nephew and it has been perfect. We're not sure if Eleanor will be ready for it at this year's birthday, so thought we would wait until next year. We're a bit bike mad in this house, so it's a must-have.
Jules - asking me to choose a favourite carrier is like making someone choose a favourite child! :lol: I love both the Ergo and the mei tai. (and my other 5 carriers :redface: ) If I could only have one, it would probably be the Ergo. The mei tai is very cool and comfortable, and it packs up nice and small, but the Ergo is quicker to put on and easier for DH to use. And we've been able to use it since birth. We had a 3 month period where we couldn't use the MT because of the body length.
charlotte - I am SO over househunting! I feel like we will never find the right place. Hope you get yours, and get yourselves a good loan.
EJ - I struggle heaps with 220 too. We love organic dried apricots here, I ate a stupid amount of them while pregnant. Nellie tried a non-organic one on the weekend at a party (an older kid gave it to her, and I thought I'd just see how she went) She quite liked it, and it seems to have had a positive effect on the solid waste department, so we'll have to go and find some. Slippery elm is awesome, we get it from the same shop :D Yay for quilting. I am planning a memory quilt wit favourite clothes from Eleanor's first year.
Eleanor has her own little handbag, with a wallet and phone and set of keys. It is the top number 1 favourite thing right now. Mine too, because it means she leaves mine alone! She tried to pull herself up today - on the toilet! :sick: Will have to come up with a new plan for when I go in there.
Looks like DH will have to be away for Nell's first birthday :( He hardly ever travels, and this is something he just has to do. We are thinking about what to do. He will be in Sydney for the actual day, so we can go down to join him there, no problems, and we might have a party a week earlier or something. Or later. Or not at all. Our Brissie friends won't care much, I don't think. And I just want him to be with us on the day, to celebrate making it through her first year.
I am definitely not on top of the mummy gig today! The place looks like a bomb has hit, DH had a tour de france party on the weekend, while we stayed elsewhere. And then on to a yellow jersey party of course! Ah well. Hubby can help with cleanup tonight. At least dinner is cooked (thank you MamaBake!)

Well DD can sit up fairly well, no movement (besides rolling). She still wont' even put weight on her legs. what a shame! She's getting more interested in food - still spitting most of it. She kinda swishes it round her mouth pretending to eat though. Saying da da deliberately I think. sleep's better now she';s better, in that she's reverted to 2-hourly wakeups again :)
I'm feeling relaxed about it though. keep reminding myself that I've survived thsi before. she's a much better bedmate than DS was, I must say, very log-like when asleep. DS is very, um, unruly in bed :rofl:
Speaking of whom, he's asleep! conked out in front of the telly. yay. of course it's nearly dinner time now...
I like my ergo! It's my fave of the ones I have. The HAB was brilliant for DS but DD never liked it.
I think, surely, it's mandatory to get the super-duper overengineered german version of things... no?
Audax, the first bday is really just for your benefit anyway, so do whatever suits you guys, I reckon.
Pixie, hope your wrist is better. And that you can figure something out about work. I know pre-baby a few months seemed like a long time to do the mummy thing, but it passed so quickly and I really wasnt' ready to just stop. I will admit that with DS there was a certain amount of relief at not having to struggle with his screaming and non-sleeping on my own all day any more. DD is a different, and there's no way I would want to do it.

Been meaning to ask this for ages now and keep forgetting but for those breastfeeding how many feeds a day/night are we having now??
I don't really know EJ. Probably 4-5 during the day, and then another 4-5 overnight :dunno:
I'd say we're pretty similar then MadB, we're about 4 & 4 i think :)

She upped it last night, oh i wish she could sleep just a tiny little bit better for me :pray:
Approximately one thousand day feeds and 3-4 *night feeds.
DS fed heaps during the day too, but DD just won't :wall:
She was slightly better than usual last night.
DD drew blood feeding today. I think it's a Wonder Week, it's like she is trying to climb inside the boob at every feed, clawing and pinching, and squirming. DH ended up putting a sock on her hand late this afternoon, and that helped a lot.
And we've passed the stage where she will sit in the Ergo for an entire grocery shop. She went from Ergo on back to trolley, to Ergo on front, to feeding in the Ergo, back to sitting in the Ergo but holding a can of deodorant until she threw it and it smashed :redface: and finally I bought her one of those teething toys in a feeble attempt to purchase a bit of sanity. It worked.

Great news girls my bb's are the best they've been in 3 months!!!! It's happened really quickly and i hope it's here to stay. Really makes me wonder about the zantac and just a reaction that i happened to have to it!?!?! :dunno: Probably something i'll never know because i'm definatley not prepared to go back there to find out.
Girls how are we going with day sleeps?? I've always struggled with Harper and i'm trying to just come to terms with it and be ok with it but it's hard. She just doesn't get the quality the boys got throughout the day and the nights are really not far behind.
Yesterday was 3 x 40min sleeps and today was 2 x 40min and we were home both days. Some days i get a 1-1.5 out of her but it's not very often. Last night she woke and fed every couple of hours. Should i just get used to it???? If i mention it to the MCHN i know she'll say go to sleep school but i'm not sure if i want to go through that... I've done it before with Charlie and i'm trying what i learnt with Harper but she just fights me so much.
Just a little frustrated :wall:
ETA I haven't seen the MCHN in months and won't until mid August she's so hard to get into, they cancelled on me a couple of weeks ago and Aug was then next available appt. I'm thinking that when we see her if her growth is all on track she's ok but how can a couple of 40 min sleeps be ok for a 7 month old???
Great news about your boobs EJ!! Today Nell had 3 x 30 minute sleeps and a quick 10 minute recharge in the car. This seems to be standard fare for her. I have stopped stressing about it. She sleeps a lot better at night if she catnaps in the day. And I'm OK with that. She goes down really easily, and will re-settle after a bit of effort, but the net effect is no better, so I just let her do what she wants.
I have had a shocker of a day. Just not coping with anything. Feeling a bit inadequate. Certain that we will never find a house (although the one we had an offer in on is still unsold.) Snowed under with housework (and just the basic stuff) Going at a million miles an hour trying to catch up and forgetting to eat or drink properly. All round crap day.
EJ, that's great about your boobs!
DDis the same with day sleeps, and DS was even worse. Some babies are just like taht. They're always tired, it's not enough, but somehow they survive (and thrive!) just fine. It's best to just relax about it as much as you can and accept it. Especially if you've tried everything for a while and nothing helps.
It's up to you, obviously you're best able to know what you need to do, but I think sometimes you really do just have to go with it and wait - it does eventually get easier. I found with DS it was sooo much better once I gave up. He didn't sleep any more, but I wsn't nearly as stressed (or wasting so much time battling with him!).
How was today Audax?

Thanks ladies, for the most part Harper is fine with what she gets although today wasn't enough. She was a cranky little chicken this afternoon. It's me that gets all upset about it every once in a while. The boys were just sooooo different. We all do seem to be in a similar pattern though so that is reassuring. Just got to remind myself to let go also.
Hugs for you Audax, it's not fun when you have one of those days. I hope tomorrow is a much better day for you.
EJ if it makes you feel any better I have the same thing with Jacob too. Given up now, he's happy and that's the main thing. :)

Hope the germs don't hand around too long Crumpet, the just don't seem to want to go away from our house. The kids are really pretty fine in themselves but coughs and noeses are a bit persistant.
I'm actually really happy with how Harper is going Crumpet, at first there were a few signs that made me wonder how well we'd go but she's been great. She hasn't had a grumpy feed of attachging and detaching for quite a few days and if she seems to be burping or swallowing a little it's barely bothering her. Yay!!!
Jules i gave up and tried to relax a little with Harper but every once in a while i have another freak out about the lack of... Like you said the main thing is they're happy :)
Today i've had that tingling feeling back in the bb's :o, the itch and there's a few little red spots that have returned I'm just hoping it's nothing to be worried about :pray:

MadB - I'm toying with the idea of getting an ergo, DH is a bit reluctant cause I have a close carrier and one of those ridiculous sling things that Jacob just HATED from the beginning. :dance: a six hour stretch!!! :dance: go miri go!! Reward that hard working mumma of yours.. it's so nice to hear the 'relaxed' approach really pays off eventually. Gives me hope :) :hug: hope you've had some better days..
Audax - Hahahahaha, sorry for trying to make you choose, I knew you were a bit of an expert that's all!! Ouch on the biting!!! I've been bitten but thankfully no blood yet!!! Jacob is a bit the same during his feeds, it's strange. :hug: hope you had a better day today.
PP - Hows your wrist?? I hope you're feeling better. Hope work and daycare are going well, sounds like you're doing really well, I'm so glad it's working out.
EJ - I'm SO glad to hear Harper is going so well without the zantac...how good is it to not have to give it to them two/three times a day!! I hated doing it. As I said, BF's are a bit all over the place here, I just feed him when he's hungry basically... and nights are different all the time, his biggest stretch is often his first one (typical...the one where I have to be up to clean up, shower etc...) I hear you about trying to relax about their sleep, it gets to me at times too. You're doing great. Hope the bb's don't flare up again :crossfingers:

We're doing ok here. Jacob is majorly on the move now, crawls to everything he can find on the floor, remotes, phones, cords, you name it.. (will bypass the toys mind you!) I spend most my day lifting everything up out of his reach :) He's a little clingy lately, on and off... some days he won't let me leave the room, he just cries and cries.... Sleep is just one of those things at the moment, I really don't care to be honest, he's not sleeping in his cot very much, I've been sleeping in the spare bed with him. He sleeps better which means I can sleep better... the way I see it, they're only young for such a short amount of time and at least I can look back on my time with him and cherish all the extra time we spent together :) besides, I do love his little body sleeping beside me, reminds me how truly blessed I am! All in all, we're doing ok here. Hope everyone else is well. xox
Jules - I love snuggling up too! It's just such a precious time.
Today was a much better day. Perfect, in fact, including a 70 minute sleep! (for her, not me. Boooo.) Until I got stomach cramps at about 5pm, and have had to run to the loo a few times. Hoping it's not a bug, and reeeally hoping DD doesn't get it. I wore one of the dresses I made last week, and it just made me feel like a million dollars.
Eggs sound delicious, MadB. Mmmmmm.
Yay for the sleep!! You should have joined her though! Uh oh....hope it's not a bug either! Feel better soon. How talented are you, making your own dresses!! I wish I was that creative! Glad it made you feel good, so you should :) That's great you've had a better day (minus the sore tummy)

That's an awesome attitude Jules. So true - it's all over so quickly. A few years down the track you'll look back and wonder why you bothered worrying about the short naps, feeding to sleep and all that sort of thing. Well i did anyway!
MadB - Exactly!!! That's what I figure. It's about him now..not me :) when I decided to have a baby I decided I was ok with taking the backseat for a while.
Well...bit excited this morning!!! Jacob slept from 7.40pm till 2.40am!! I'm so angry at my dog and the neighbors dog though, they barked ALL night. The main thing is Jacob slept through it but I was up a lot. Can't win can I?? :lol: doesn't change the fact that I'm proud of my little mans efforts!! :)

Jules how would you say Jacob is off the zantac? Yes i love not giving her zantac anymore, i still find myself feeling like i'm forgetting something but it's great!!!! Our first sleep for the night is often the longest also and i often don't go to bed until after that feed. I've been sewing again. Yay for having a little one on the move, it'll really keep you on your toes now but it's so great that he can really explore his surroundings :)
Harper is great, i had my little sleep freak out (i've done it before haven't i?? :redface:) Thanks so much for listening and reassuring me. I've actually been wrapping her again (rather than the sleeping bag) and the last few nights she's only woken 3 times (the last one being at 6am when i can still get her back to sleep for a little bit). Might continue with that for a little bit and see how we go. She's now able to sit quite strongly without support but after a bit she'll fall and she's commando crawling now, lots of knees and elbows.
Better go give her some lunch. Enjoy your weekend ladies :D

Jules, I love those snuggles too! Millie is not crawling yet but is always so "busy" - I could watch her play for hours... and frequently do :)
As for us... thanks, my wrist is much better after only a couple of days of anti-inflammatories. Millie is going incredibly well. She's such a lovely, funny little girl! She has the inevitable daycare snot grot thing happening... I HATE seeing her with a runny nose so we've bought aloe vera tissues and I have been putting apricot kernel oil around her little schnozz so it doesn't get red and dry. She seems to love daycare and they love her there too.
I'm not loving work too much. I like seeing the kids and being in the classroom, and the faculty is running very smoothly. But a couple of the jobs I handed off to other people have made their way back to me and I'm not impressed, especially as one of the big things has been left in a real mess, which I now have to fix. My heart isn't in it any more. I really miss Millie during the day, and picking her up and those couple of hours before she goes to bed are the best part of my day. At least it's only 3 days a week. An unfortunate side effect is, all the weight I lost before we went away (and amazingly, managed to keep off despite the beer, bread and schnitzel!) is coming back because I'm comfort eating like mad for those 3 days. Blah.

Oh, that's what I wanted to ask - Millie has pretty much dropped her 11am bottle. She either takes a tiny bit (I mean, 40ml or so), or refuses it outright. I'm not too worried about it in terms of nutrition because she is eating fairly well (and she is a nice chubby little bub!), but in terms of fluid I'm concerned she's not drinking enough. She doesn't like water and will just let it dribble out of her mouth (if she takes any at all). Any tips for encouraging drinking? and do you think it's a problem?

Hi PP :hug: working and motherhood can be a bit tricky, i know what made it a lot easier for me was knowing that Aidan was happy even though i wasn't there and then i was able to try and sort myself out. It's a tricky mix because priorities change hugely don't they!!??
Reading your drinking question i was thinking offer water but not liking water makes it a little tricky. Intake wise i'm not too sure, all i can think of is flavouring it a little with a squeeze of lemon or orange maybe but it might not want to be a habit you get into this early. Hopefuly the other ladies have some better options for you.
I'm off to try and make aidan a dinosaur tail (while watching the devil wears prada), he's been asking for one for days and i just keep getting interrupted so my best bet to do it while everyone else is in bed.

Ah Pixie, that sucks. Is there any way you can wind back or get out of work? I would :) I'm glad Millie is doing well at daycare, too bad about the snot!
Don't worry about the fluids, she'll take what she needs. She probably doesn't need a huge amount right now anyway. Does she eat fruit? That's got a fair bit of fluid in it too. Don't start trying to tempt her with juice.

DH is trying to get DD to sleep now. Last couple of nights she's been difficult and wanting to get up and play at this time. dear me. I'm kind of sick of it after being woken every hour or two overnight :D

Nothing happening here either. Hannah's tooth is nearly through (a top one this time!). She's been weighed and she's 6.34kgs. So she's put on 4.5kgs since she was born!
Getting nervous about my wedding.... not long now. Only a few weeks! Still nothing for DP and groomsmen to wear yet, but off to Bendigo in about 2 weeks as a friend is about to have her bub any day now, so we want to go see him when he's born. So we'll pick up formal wear then.
Been REALLY boring here. :D
Wonder Week 37 is over, and I am back on top of the mummy thing! Hurrah!
We got a new food processor, so we are having fun with juices and smoothies and mixing stuff.
Oh, and Eleanor got her first head-bump on the door-frame while being worn on my back when I was vacuuming today. Whoops. :redface:

DD's back to her usual sleeping patterns (or lack thereof)
Still no movemetn, but she looks like she wants to move. I think having an older sibling is a great motivator. Still going to be a while yet.
Finally had 6-month jabs today.

Millie is clapping properly - she has been almost there for awhile, but was sitting on her playmat this afternoon after I picked her up from daycare and she started clapping! She thinks she's sooo clever... and she just picked up her little curved support pillow (it matches her playmat, I put it behind her in case she stacks it backwards), held it over her head and peeked at me through the curve :) Such a clever little dot!!!!
Work is a little better this week, run off my feet but doing a little better than before. Thanks for your kind words :) MadB, if I hadn't gone for the HT job I would definitely wind back to 2 days a week, but the HT job is 3 days sooooo... I spent today arranging a training day for my faculty tomorrow and I feel like I have done a good job, so am feeling a little less overwhelmed.
Thanks also for suggestions on drinking. I'm not worrying too much about the fluid thing... I am anti-bribing-with-sweet-stuff so didn't want to offer juice, diluted or not. I have to remind myself that she'll just take what she wants/needs. She does eat a lot of fruit, she can't get enough pear and I have found some cheap(ish) bananas ($9.99/kg) that are small and the perfect size for her. She eats a whole one in a sitting!

Crumpet so glad you are all well. This week has been the first week my 3 seem to be fairly healthy, the germs can be really stubborn... unfortunately.

Oh now on the bump to the head Audax :( I often visualise how horrible it would be if i actually got Harper's noggin a little too close to the walls and door frames as i cruise around with her. You'll only do it one xo
PP glad you've having a bit of a better week. I didn't really think the juice was a good idea (my boys barely have it these days) but wasn't too sure how else to encourage the water. Maybe in the warmer weather she'll feel more thirsty and be craving some yummy water.
All is good here, we had kinder duty again today and boy am i tired. Busy little bees they are. Harper is doing really well, she's sitting up, practically crawling and really settled at night. Back to 2 or 3 wakes, the 6am i get her back into bed and sleep until about 8:30am... Love it...
She's 8 months old on Friday :) :(
