Meg - I hope you can get through this tough time. It sounds like you are really holding the fort for your entire extended family! Maybe you can get some time away once everyone is better :hug:

Malyna/Tarkine - love the new name however, I probably will call you by the old name for a while until my brain processes the information :lol: It takes a lot longer these days!

Shell - maybe she's having a growth spurt needing all the bottles :dunno:

Jols - what sort of stroller did you buy? I put Miss J in our Quicksmart yesterday when I had to run from the car to the shop and it was too far to carry her. I wasn't sure if she would be ready for it but she loved it.

Heaven - yay on the cot sleeping!

Kaz - babies are like that - if you want to go out they sleep through it!

AFM - I was right about the teeth! Miss J's top left tooth has made the white blister line on her gum today so I think that it will start coming through tomorrow. The right one looks not far behind. Soon she will have 4 teeth!!!

Well last night she still woke the same times as usual except instead crying she decided to do cot gymnastic, rolling round poking her head up against the bars, all I kept hearing was grunting and groaning! Was sorta funny but not so much at 4am!

Nai- Wow, we're still waiting on toothy #1, still can't feel anything coming either.

Kaz- that always happens when you have someting planned, hopefully next week you make it. It'll be nice if you find a great group.

Meg- God, when it rains it pours! I hope you are having some time for you. Try not stress bout E, she sounds exactly like how Ash was, everything you mention was the same, I just persevered, it is hard the whole not being able to get out but i used to try bottle every day, eventually she started taking maybe 20mls so that was a start and we worked from there, same with solids, one day she just took to it. And now she eats plenty of variety and willing to try new stuff, this from the girl who never ate and always had to have things mashed even over 1.

AJP- What stroller did you get? Atm I'm still sticking with my adventure buggy cause Ash still does use the toddler seat but it'll be nice when I can move on get a light stroller.

Heaven- I've been keeping up with your otehr thread, you'll get there, how were her day sleeps today?

I'm sick of being so tired and walking around with a fog in my brain, seriously I reakon thats the hardest part my brain not functioning, it does hurt to think I forget words even that I want to use. I keep burning pots cause I forget they're there, even when i set the timer to remind myself I'm usually busy so still forget!

Like Meggie I can't remember the last time I posted...I do get on to read when I can!
We've all been sick for about a week now...thought it might be allergies at first but we've all got it now so it must just bo a cold. How much snot can one little person make???? Far out!!! Have been using the baby fess which seems to help but Anika is miserable...has even been waking for a feed at about 10pm which she hasn't done for months...poor little thing. No temp so I guess it will just run it's course? Is there anything else I should be doing? And I'm feeling like I've got stuck with the solids...have tried...pumpkin, sweet pot, brocholi, carrot, apple, pear, bananna, rice cereal...and have kind of got stuck on those...she is grabbing at the spoon now and I'm thinking I should be giving her some fingerfood...what did you start with?

Sorry for all the questions...finally got online and got to make the most of it lol!

You have had to deal with so so much lately. It must be incredibly stressful and draining at the moment looking after everyone and you are only human and have a breaking point too.

I hope things get better. Are there any friends or family that can help out. You need some time away and by that, I not only mean away from the kids but away from housework, etc.

Meg- I wish I knew how to help you, come in here and talk about it anytime, get it off your chest. Is he getting worse or much the same?
You've had such a hard time lately, could your mum come stay with you for a few days and help you out, take some of the load off you? How is his behaviour around other people?

Meg I'm another that wishes she knew how to help. Ventilate all you want. You sound like you need a break that's for sure :hug:

Ellie - Great to hear from you! She could have any of those foods she's already eating as finger foods, either raw or steamed for the veggies. Try other veggies and fruits, cheese sticks, bread sticks, strips of meat or toast.

You are having a rough trot lately. I wish i was closer to give you a break. Can i suggest that you go to visit your local GP yourself and see if you can get a referal for someone to help with some strategies . Maybe they can help identify trigger factors, etc and give some helpful hints! My DS can be 'difficult' as well- he is damm hard work- and having medical professionals to turn to has helped. We looked into diet factors- yep there was some triggers, as well as other strategies that have helped. We also have had him assessed over the years and have found some learning issues which also explain why he acts like he does. Keeping him busy makes a difference but overtiredness is a trigger as well. Its such a fine balance.

As for solids and Miss E- my twins took ages on solids as well esp DS. It took till they were 12 months to be eating what Boof has been eating since he was 6 months old - every baby is different so hang in there and keep persisting.

All good here - boof still doesnt sleep through, no teeth, but eats like he has a mouthful- poor poss gets frustrated that he cant eat quicker as he has to suck the crap outta the food lol. Today he slept for a whole hour all day!! But he is happy enough - little champ
Off to swimming lessons for boof tommorow again- he loves them

hi girls - not sure how long I have, Alex is always quiet when I'm reading but when it come stime to post, he cracks up.

ARU millie is now rolling both ways!!! the fun begins soon when she crawls :( she does 360's on her tummy, she moves around so much these days!!!

AJP - thanks for the tip - I haven't actually given J cheese yet but we did try natural yoghurt yesterday. How long should we wait for cheese then? The stuff I have read on BLS makes it sound like once you've done the initial fruit/veggies/yoghurt for a few weeks they can just then progress to meat, cheese etc (watching salt and sugar etc all the time of course).

He likes playing with the food but it always goes up to his mouth and he reaches for it and makes impatient noises if he can't get it on his tray :lol: - yesterday was a cr@p day allround, hardly any sleep, lots of grumbling and 30 mins of full on crying at 4pm with another 30mins of full on grumbling after that so he wasn't overly interested for long but he's tried potato and sweet potato now as well as yoghurt too. His fave is still the brocoli though :) He just sucks it I think.

AFM - AF returned on the weekend. It's taken me until this morning to accept it I think :crying: I was kinda hoping it would never return!! Also I got a copy of my hospital notes/CTG readings the other day. Am thinking of getting an indep. mw to review them.

Meg - Hope you're coping ok with the demands of caring for so many sick and unwell people! Take care.

i think chesse in small amounts is ok, i cant remember when i first gave it to sophie :think:
im finding millie clingy at the moment, cries when she cant see me either at the moment, we had average sleeps yesterday,two were only 30 mins each, she asleep at the moment and has been for 60 mins so that good.
millie had some lamb the other night, sucked the crap out of it :lol: she loved the flavour! she still wont let me out anything in her mouth, im sure ab's last week didnt help :( millie loves broccoli too, i see it the next moring :sick:
AF :o nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :lol: im dreading the day, im shiat scared of getting pregnant but a little scared about getting the mirena put in, not keen on anything been touched down there, freaks me out a little, bad memories :(

AJP- A friend from work used to have mirena in, she keeps telling me thats what I should do, she said sh was lucky, no AF for the whole time she had it in, yeah I'd be rapt with that! I read the best time to put in is like after AF starts, thats what turned me off!

BBL with more poor Ash just woke shes been sick now, temps, think she had what Emily had, slept since 6pm last night!

Hmm - maybe I need to book in to the macedon Day spa. You interested in coming Shell?

When I did that last post, J had been having a tantrum for 2 hours! He has never gone on that long before. It was terrible. I am still at such a loss with him. He hates pretty much ALL food now. Last year it was veggies, but got good at hiding them in things. Now he hates meat, bread, fruit, veggies. The only thing he really likes is chicken nuggets and yoghurt. He gets no choice now. He either eats what is offered, or I calmly tell him he doesn't have to have it, but there is nothing else.

As far as E goes, well poor little bubba gets neglected as I have to deal with J. She just seems to grin and bear it. He is still waking sometimes in the night, but is not too bad. have some good nights and some bad, but hey, she's a baby right?! She still hates any solids that are not fuit, although she does like bread, and the occasional veggie as long as she can feed herself.

J is off to mum's tomorrow for 2 nights. She is taking him to the show. He is always a gem for her, but doesn't eat well there either. (the eating has been since the scarlet fever)

I promise next time I will read everyone's posts and comment, I just don't have the energy at the mo

I think you're doing the best thing in regard to the eating. Offering him what you've cooked and that's it - no alternatives. If he's hungry, he'll eat.

Afm...I have spent all day watching a crow fledgling learning to fly. It's parents are staking out the backyard and I'm keeping an eye out for my cat who's been asleep upstairs all day but may want to venture outside soon.

Talk about distracting! I have an assignment due tomorrow and I've only done half. Hope you're all well xox

We did that with Ash regarding food, and eventually she caught on and now she's a pretty good eater. It'll be good for you both to have a break, he'll have fun with your mum and the show and you can spend some quality time with E. These bubs are so versatile aren't they. First born everything is revolved around them and second borns they have to learn straight off to work around everything else.

Kaz- Have you found how to contact and find a suitable MW to help you out? Sucks bout Af I so hated it coming back, don't need it anymore seeing as thats it for me with having kids.

Tarkine- Does your hubby feel some closure after going back? Must've been quite hard.

Anyone know if Cruskits are ok for bubs? Emily loves them, put some avocado on half one today and she was shoving it in her mouth like there was no tomorrow.

boof loves cruskits- they are a standard food that i keep some in my nappy bag for when he gets the munchies when we are out. He also loves baker's delight bap rolls lol!
also we have tried corn bread, wraps as well as normal bread- all without a single tooth hehe!


boof was eating prunes and dried apricots tonite- he loved the prune (only one at this stage) he also ate caramelised vegetable pasta for dinner as well. He had a day today without any mush- all finger food today. He is pretty much eating what we eat. This week he ate schnitzel, beef casserole and chicken and noodles- none of it mushed- just like we had it, but with his hands- he is getting a bit down too- has chubbed up as well

Sleeping is really poor at the moment- day and nite- but hey its a phase it know!! I have been too enxhusted to fight it so he has been coming in with us a bit, but that is hard on my neck and he ends up feeding heaps as well. Gonna try and catch up a bit and start settling him in the cot again

AFM- Well esterday was really hot up here, in the 30's again and I didnt want to wrap ASh for her sleeps so I put her down unwrapped. Her arvo sleep was 3 hours unwrapped!!! Then last night she went to bed at 7pm and I didnt wrap her, she woke at 12 because DP and I were having a sticky beak at her but then went back to sleep after a feed until 6:30am. Hoping we can do away with the wraps now.The only bad news I ahve is I am starting t come down with something. Have a really sore throat. Funny all year I havent been sick and as soon as I return to school I get sick from all those nasty germs in the classroom!!! grrrr!

Hi everyone.

I had my baby girl Elly Feb 27 this year. Any how lately she has been waking at about 4:45am every morning and self settles only to be awake at 5:00am. Today I left her and she went back to sleep at 530 till 630. Every night she goes to bed at 6:45pm with last bottle at 6:15pm.

I have heard MANY conflicting ideas, but should I be still giving her a bottle late at night say 1030?? WHat does every one else do?

Also in the day she refuses to have any longer than 45 min naps X 3. No matter what i do.

Advice??? Esp about late night bottle

Hi babyhopeful! Sorry to hear about the sleep problems. We get short day sleeps here too :doh: DS doesn't even do 45 minutes! Im lucky if he manages a 30 minute nap 3 times a day - that's a good day. As for the feeds - I'm not sure what the deal is with bottle feeding as we are breastfeeding but hopefully someone else can shed some light. Elly is a beautiful name by the way :)

Shell, are you doing anything tonight for the game? I am really nervous! I think I'll just watch it in bed. Happy birthday to Ash!

:hello: to everyone else!

Not much to report here...L is currently on one meal a day. So far he's had broccoli, pumpkin and this week introduced cauliflower which he likes. Tonight and the next few days he'll have zucchini (blergh! lol) and then next week we'll do green beans and peas. I'm going to put some pics on fb - there are some real funny ones where he screws up his face to the solids...yet he continues to down the whole lot...so can't be too bad! Don't know if I mentioned previously, but we are going about solids a little differently much to everyone's dismay! We're doing above ground vegies first, followed by below ground vegies then proteins (lentils, pulses, etc), then fruits and then carbs. By the time we're up to carbs he will be about 12 months.

Anyway, I am so exhausted - hardly getting any sleep. This is a really weird observation but I've realised that ever since L was born I've never woken up with sleep in my eyes, bringing me to the conclusion that I'm never asleep long enough for it to happen. Then the other day DP had his weekend and took L in the mornings so I could sleep in and I woke up with sleep in my eyes!! :lol: Thought I'd share...anyway boobie monster is calling (screaming rather)...

WHOOOHOOO!!! About F'ing time! Of course, I only got a nearly 4 hour stint because I waited up until 11pm thinking he would do his usual and wake for that feed LOL!! Then at the 3:45am feed he fed for ages and when I sat him up he did the biggest record breaking spew ever (which is saying something for him!) It got me, the couch, my t-shirt, pj bottoms and even my undies got wet :rofl: and :sick: at the same time. Then this morning at the 7am feed I had a monster evil I'm-eating-solids-now poo to deal with :rolleyes:

I don't care tho, worth the "punishment" to have him sleep through like that!

Hi babyhopeful! I am also fully bfing DS so not sure about the bottle sorry, and DS has only just slept through last night for the first time and I still had to feed him overnight. I am usually up and down every few hours feeding him. I felt a bit jealous reading the amount of sleep your bubs has!! It's all relative I guess but in my humble opinion, the fact that she's sleeping from about 7pm right through to 6 or 6:30am is excellent. Did you want her to sleep in more? I guess you can try the later bottle for a few nights to see if it helps and if it doesn't, go back to what you're doing now? She sounds pretty normal to me though cause "they" reckon that the 10pm feed is usually the first one they drop. Have you started her on solids yet? Perhaps a bigger dinner of solid food might also help? Sorry I don't really know.

Ali - I've had a sore throat too this morning but DP has been sick for ages with cough. That sucks if you are coming down with something but whoohoo for Miss A sleeping well without a wrap. I've tried to get J out of the habit but he mostly just plays with his dummy, then loses it, then cracks it. We've introduced a lovey in the past couple of days hoping to create a new sleep association so we can get rid of the wrap and the dummy *oh horror* :lol:

Thanks Kaz. No its not about her sleeping in at ALL. I was just so annoyed or confused with being told one thing from the maternal health nurse, to another thing from the nurse at hospital. Some say offer 10pm dream feed, others say dont. SO it gets a bit much. I dont mind being up at 630

Another question, has anyone got some good recipes i can try my 6.5 month old on? She loves vegies but im sure it would be nice to add pasta or cous cous.

No worries BH. The more people you speak to the more opinions you'll get (including mine ;) ) I guess if you're happy with your DDs weight, then there's no reason to be waking her to give extra food. Not sure about the recipes either, if it were me, I'd just add a bit of well cooked pasta or couscous to her veggies - maybe you could google it? Sorry to hear she's got a middle ear infection too :( That must hurt! Hope she's feeling better soon.

Had a busy last 2 days thankfully Ash is better, found out today other kids in my mums group had same thing.

Ash turned 3 yesterday so was busy busy, she had a McDonalds party, and TBH I wouldn't go there again, maybe it was just my store but not very organised at all, the woman that ran it didn't really have a way with kids it was like the manager that was on that day just suddenly found out she had to do it cause nothing was set up or anything. I had to chase up if all the kids got there meals and drinks (which one didn't). The kids enjoyed it tho so guess thats what counts.

Babyhopeful- Hi and welcome, doesn't sound like much a prob, rfom what you've said she is going nearly 12 hours between feeds so thats great. You can always try a dreamfeed if you think it would suit you if you wanted to try stretch her out longer in the morning. From what I've heard tho it doesn't always make a difference.

Kaz- Like I mentioned on FB we had our best night too, she went from 7:15 to 6:10! I woke at 4 and tossed and turned cause I was so used to be woken all the time, lets hope for a repeat but I jnow from past experiences not to get my hopes up. We've also had very minimal day sleeping today and yesterday, that I can handle as long as she isn't getting grumpy.

Holly- After you said that about the sleep in eyes well lack of I thought oh yeah thats so true, I've had same thing! And how about our saints, omg the stress of it all! I was close to vomiting! We need to see them win a flag in our lifetime!

Ali- Thanks, yep was Ash's birthday. How you feeling? Hope not getting sick. How is the sleeping wrap free, maybe thats what she needed. I remember my nephew wasn't sleeping so well so my sister stopped wrapping and it was like a new baby.

Det- Yeah the cruskits are such a hit here. She plays with vegie finger food but wants other stuff, tries to rip whatever I'm eating out of my hands. Any improvement sleep wise? At least second time around we know there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Shell - Happy Birthday to Ash for yesterday! I went to a 4yo and 1yo combined party yesterday at a playcentre and it was really good. Very well organised and the kids had fun. I haven't been to any parties at McD's so I'm not sure how they compare.

BH - It sounds like your little one is doing fantastically. Personally I wouldn't introduce a dreamfeed at this stage as she is doing 12 hours straight and it might mess her sleeping up. I think it is only really useful if you have a baby waking during the night for a feed eg. at 3am

Kaz - Grr about AF! I'm not looking forward to that returning. But yay on the sleeps! We have had some good nights lately but last night wasn't one of them :(

Holly & Shell - you must be excited for the Saints! I will cheer for them next weekend but it will be a tough game for them. Holly - Leon is so cute with his food. LOL at waking with sleep in your eyes.

Ali - I hope you are feeling better. Kids are germy little things! DD1 has been s?*snotty this winter and has been sharing it around but what can you do? Just keeps the immune system ticking over I guess.

AFM - bad night last night as Miss J was up crying and in bed with me all night. I think that second top tooth is coming through. Her top left has already cut through the gum. Holly- was at Elsternwick one, ormond doesn't have a party room there. Won't do again but it was the cheapest party I could find. I know I'm so nervous bout next week especially after Geelongs huge win last night, I haven't looked but do you know if Geelong got any injuries? Well maybe such big win will leave them too ****y and stuff up this week.

Nai- Poor Miss J and you! Yep I bet she will sleep all day while your eyes hang out yr head, always the way, esp harder with #2 can't rest after a bad night like with #1.

A friend mine who had her baby mid march is preg again due mid april! She is not overally happy atm with the thought. Think she is stressing on how she will cope with newborn and 13 month old and she said labour is still too clear in her mind she doesn't wanna go back!

Babyhopeful - I would just do what works for you and your baby. I have listened to so much advice about Alex and just nodded then just done what works for us. I think if you listened to what everyone has to say, you'd go crazy. Alex is still demand feeding and gets solids once or twice a day (depending on how he is going).

I must be the slackest person here with introducing new food to their bubs. I am so disorganised... just wish I had a magic fairy to help around the place. Tired of carrying the load by myself... but I'm not going down that path again...

Shell - I think closure is a myth - but he got some resolution going back.. the birthday party sounded great.

Malyna :hug: Hope the workload eases up soon.

AFM - this is going to be a selfish post, sorry girls :redface: I'm not coping very well atm with DS. Since the wonder night where he slept nearly 9 hours straight (Fri night - but I still only got 3-4 hours in a stretch cause I sat up waiting :wall: ) his sleep has been total ****. He followed the wonder sleep with a day in which he only had a 40min, 30min and 20min nap all day then fed three hourly overnight and woke at other times for resettling. I cracked it totally that evening because he was so grumbly and unsettled all day but nothing would get him off to sleep. I drove off and left him with DP for an hour :redface: but I'd been alone with him for the previous hour and just needed to be by myself for a while. So horrible to do that. So sick of hearing him crying and whining. Yesterdays day sleeps were much better - 1.5 hours x2 then 1 hour but then he was awake from 4pm to 6:30pm (not that long huh?) and only slept for 40mins then was awake for ages!! I offered a feed every hour but he didn't want to feed was just really unsettled and whingey. Finally he fed at 9:30pm and was asleep by 10:30pm.

Then he woke before 5am this morning (I fed him overnight in that time too) and he wouldn't re-settle after the feed like he normally does so he was up for a while and then in bed with DP and I for a while (something we have hardly ever done) and he slept for maybe 40mins. I fed him at 7:10am and he is still in there awake now and grumbling and crying every now and then. Given he's now been awake so long, he'll be overtired and won't sleep long when he finally does go down. What is wrong with him? What is wrong with me? I used to cope really well with his crying and grumbling, I just had patience and all of a sudden it's desserted me totally. I can't cope with any more than about 10mins at this point. There is no pattern to his sleeping - if I go out with him he may or may not have a good sleep when we get home, if he has good day sleeps he may or may not have a good night, if he has crap day sleeps he also may or may not have a good night. Sometimes he can get overtired and still sleep really well and other times he gets overtired and that's it, we're in the evil cycle from hell. I don't know what to do. He's not teething (I think), he's not constipated, he's loving his food and we're mainly giving him veggies and introducing one or two new things a day with the old stuff. He was still being wrapped but we're sacking that as of today - I was waiting until he had a decent day sleep routine happening but I've given up. He has rolled a few times on his own and summer is coming and I don't want to have him wrapped over summer. He has a lovey duck thing which he likes and the dummy. His bed is the same.

Anyway - sorry for the rant. Am feeling at a loss. I've had horrible thoughts about leaving DP with a tin of formula and booking myself into a hotel for a night just to sleep through myself. I'm sick of being so teary from feeling so tired all the time. The only thing stopping me is I'm worried that I wouldn't want to come back :crying: I feel like a terrible mum for thinking this stuff - please tell me it's normal?

Kaz and Malyna- :hug: you two do need a break. Its so hard having someone depend on you all the time.

Kaz- I am not sure about J's sleep. It jsut sounds so exhausting and you are not a bad mum for feeling the way you do right now. Make sure you tell DP how you feel. I have done the same thing with DD when I ahve had enough, I have just left her with DP and gone for a drive and told him to deal with her. Sometimes its the best thing as they arent going to settle with a stressed out mummy anyway. Do you think he is about to hit a developmental stage?? (ie, sitting, talking, rolling) I hope the other girls can be of more help to you. :hug: hun, you a good mum

Kaz...Just popping in to give you a big hug....You are not a bad mum..just having a rough patch and you need a break even if it's just getting away for a couple of hours to do something for you..Not sure about the sleep advice, we are having a bit of trouble here too but have worked out some strategies with DH and we are following the same thing every night so L will get used the the consistency...I sat down one night with DH and said right we need to work together to sort this overnight stuff out and we came up with some stuff we would try.... like DH resettling first and that I won't feed anything less than 4 hours...also no co-sleeping...(we were doing a lot of that).. it seems to be working L getting better each night and only being fed twice in a 12 hour period..overnight he normaly wakes three times but DH deals with him if it's less than 4 hours...I know it's not sleeping through but that is our ultimate goal we are just making tiny step by step to reach the big goal...sorry for rambling..

Shell, nah Geelong don't have any injuries (damn lol!). Eek at your friend being preg already! Someone from my bellybuddies group (I was in the March group) is preg again with #2!! We won't be TTC until L is in prep :( I don't want to wait that long but it's practical!

Malyna, you are doing a fab job as it is. It's so hard especially when certain DP's/DH's do not do their fair share around the place (like mine!). I am just as unorganised and beyond exhausted but don't worry, our bubs don't love us any less! :hug:

Kaz, you are feeling totally normal!!! I have even told my mum about my feelings of buying a tin of forumla just in case I run away one day. It is really hard!! No mother is bad for feeling like this. It is so overwhelming having a baby who is so unsettled and grizzly all the time. Even today I was holding Leon and just cursing and asking him why he can't just sit still and keep quiet :redface: I feel like a zombie most times just pacing up and down with him because he will just crack it if I put him down or if I even sit down holding him. I always think "wtf do people do with their babies to keep them amused?!" L is just a grumpy little thing so I really feel your pain and frustration. Can your DH or relative/close friend mind J for even half a day so you can get some peace? :hug:

Pinny, it's good that you and DH have come up with a routine. Hope L sticks to it :)

AFM, well just like Kaz I feel like I'm going to flip too :doh: I am so looking forward to uni tonight - 3 hours without hearing and carrying around a whinging restless baby who not to mention is getting quite heavy now! I love him to bits and I know I signed up for all this when we dtd unprotected in June last year (:ROFL:) but it's so hard being the primary carer and having no respite!!!

Also, L has totally gone off solids. He was going really well for a week or two, but the last 3 days he hasn't wanted a bar or anything. He screws up his face, clamps his mouth shut, puts his hands in front of his mouth to block the spoon and turns his head away oh and makes this growling sound LOL. Not sure what this is all about?!?!?!?

Sighhh! He's cracking it right now in his swing in front of me lol. ARGHHH!!

Kaz - I think it's a wonder week time for your Mr J so it could be that. That one is supposed to be particularly noticable as it is a big developmental time for them. Don't feel bad - I nearly cried this week when the creche at the gym said it would be shut as it means I don't get those 2 days where I get an hour to myself!

Ali - I hope you are all going ok and your DP is recovering.

Malyna - I'm disorganised too but I think that's why Miss J is getting a lot of new foods - I just give her whatever I can find in the fridge at any given time :redface:

Holly - how are you going with the uni work and keeping up with it all?

AFM - caught up with Jols at NaeNae's baby shower yesterday so Miss J and Miss M got to hang out. Miss J demonstrated her bottomless pit eating :lol: I took her for a swim today and she thought it was great and I enrolled her for lessons starting next term. I noticed while I was at the pool that tooth #4 is about to break through the gum so she will have 2 bottom and 2 top by the end of the week.

Kaz - hun :hug: you know I've instigated a saturday morning sleep in. I feed Alex but then I go back to bed and DH gets him. Last sat, Alex had his bath and nappy free time and play time with DH and I got to sleep for 3 hours. Can you get DP to do something like this for you? There have been times when I've just handed Alex to DH and said "I need a break".

Your not a bad mum... at least you are realising that it's happening to you, and you need help.. Just tell DP that you need a night off - call in the relatives and take yourself away for some sleep or a massage or whatever it is that will help you deal.

Alex is crawling. He started last week and he's off and racing now.. its not an official crawl its a "I'm going to fling myself around until I get what i want" crawl... and he's shredding the yellow pages as I type.

Tarkine- wow, do you find he is happier now he can move? Emily is so close she has moved like an inch or 2 forward but she gets so cranky if she can't reach what she wants so I'm hoping once she can get around she'll be happier.

Holly- he prolly such a booby juice man that solids just can't live up to it! Ash was like that. Its funny how after kids work/ uni anything like that become a welcome break from kids.

Ali- How is your hubby? Have the booked him into sugery yet? I hope you get the thugs that did it, to do something like that they may be known to police already.

Kaz- :hug: Don't feel bad about that, we all have times like that, plenty of times I've said to Df how I am going to live with a new family! It very well could be wonder week like mentioned, Emily was terrible few weeks back but atm has really settled (touch wood) so keep telling yourself its a phase and in the meantime take care of yourself, forget about housework, do minimal you need to do, get take away, get Dh to help out with things, take naps or lie down when J does.

I feel bad mentioning after Kaz's bad night but we've had breakthru's. 11hrs Em slept Fri night and 12hrs last night but from experience I know not to get too excited as anything can easily turn it back to crap. I think solids might be helping cause she is such a little piggy, loves it gets stropy if I'm too slow, she is so different to how Ash was.

Shell - he's more like "woohooo, now I can get to everything I've ever wanted" I think what got him moving was having the laptop on the floor and him trying to reach it. he's now going from tummy on the floor to sitting up... and he's so alert, soaking up everything... he's figured out that the remote gets the TV to work, so he's always after the remote.

KAZ hows your day been today?? hope mr is sleeping better for you :hug: i remember cracking it with sophie around the same age, she wouldnt sleep and id had enough, i was due at the hairdressers and i remember DH getting home to us both in tears, i literally threw sophie at him with a bottle of EBM and walked out, i had to :( i needed some time to myself, he fed her and gor her to sleep.
its normal to feel how you do, doesnt make it any easier though i know.

ALI how is angus going???? has he had surgery yet??? thinking of you both!

PINNY sounds like your nights are going well, i remember getting DH to settle sophie during the night too at some stage, she knew then she wasnt getting boob! see you and A and L tomorrow!

NAI was lovely seeing you and J as well! and boy can that girl eat :o she was close to drinking the food from the container herself, milllie had the mistake of puttingher fingers in J's mouth :lol: bad move!!

AFU millie had her 6 months vax today, did well then slept well, shes not wrapped from under the arms down, arms out but i wrap a blankie up with her, slept til 4.30am this morning, so that was nice!!
