AFM i woke at 2.30am thi s morning with one boob HUGE..very full/bursting at the seams the other full-ish millie wakes anytime from 10-6 for a feed but obviously my boobs dont like her waking too late.. :think: obviously shes been waking much earlier than 2.30am lately, i was uncomfy and worrie about mastitis i redozed but woke about 20 mins later soaked :doh: the smaller side had leaked everywhere and the bursting side was just starting, got up and expressed 200ml :o went back to bed and not even 10 mins later millie woke! so i eventually went back to sleep around 3.50am so a little weary today!

where is everybody!~!

millie isnt well, seems to be worse with the sniffles now, really clingy today and slept alot, couldnt put her down, nose running like a tap, poor poppet, no swimming for her tomorrow

How is everyones fathers day plans going? I've just gotta work on a card with Ash tomor while Df is out helping his brother move.
Fathers day we are going to scatter FIL ashes at the beach so will be pretty sad day for Df. I'll still try make it nice for him with breakfast and spoil him.

Ajp- Hows her sleeping with the nose? Don't you wish you could just tell them to blow! Have you got the suction thingy. Your poor Bombers, I didn't think would be such an ass kicking, maybe next year, you've got good up and coming side.

Heaven- I've been keeping up with your other thread and I wish I had some advice! I was never patient enuff with the ncss. I know it can take time to see huge improvements. You'll get there tho, just atm it prolly doesn't look that way but it will. I tried watching yr vid on FB but some reason it wouldn't allow me.

Det- I've noticed just in last few weeks the bloody hair prob has settled but now along my hairline is all these short little hairs growing back, looks really bad and when it grows bit more its gonna look like I've got a really dodgy short fringe.

Arrgh - I am death warmed up here! I have had 4 hours sleep (Det - I don't know how you do it!!!) not because of the girls who have been quite good but DP kept me awake all night coughing!

We ran the childcare trivia night last night and it was fantastic but we didn't get to be until midnight, then he coughed until 1.30am and woke MissJ. So I fed her, went to sleep and then she woke again at 6am. I got up with her and DD1 woke up.

My mum babysat for them last night and both girls were as good as gold - typical :lol:

Been really busy here with uni - assignments galore and still so much catching up to do with my lectures...I am meant to listen to them online because it's too much effort to attend them but do you think I ever get the time to listen to them??!?!?! NO! So I have like 12 or so lectures to catch up on - that's 12 hours of listening and note taking and then I have the associated readings to do too :wall: I am never going to make that time up lol so from now I am going to physically attend the lectures otherwise I'm going to be far too behind to catch up.

Leon has been the usual...restless, cranky and clingy :rolleyes: He's been having pumpkin for the past 3 days and LOVES it!! He won't let me feed him though - he yanks the spoon out of my hand abd feeds himself!

Det, so sorry to hear DH is still sick. Hope he gets better soon. And you really need to get more sleep!! Can you allocate a day to do the paperwork and have someone mind boof instead of staying up all night every night to do it?!?!?!? Sounds like boof is doing some serious feeding! Roast dinners!!

Nai, it's good that you're responsible with the finances! I downloaded this budget program recently and have been entering everything into it. Last month was a shocker - most of our money was spent on the car and takeaway :doh: I really need to start cracking down on our spending!

Shell, looking forward to tomorrow - I'm sure we'll win!! Will give us a nice break too.

lol at kazz up at 4.20am- i have been awake since then as well- we should have jumped on chat together!! Boof was awake since then - but i went shopping today and he slept for over 2 hours in the pram!!! OMG Never has he slept so long during the day!!!

Happy Fathers Day everyone!! We've been up and opened presents already, lol. And now DH is back in bed coz he worked late last night. DD's presents got some tears from DH, lol, softy. I went for sentimental. Used a poem someone suggested on here actually. Will post pics on FB later.

Well, had a bit of a bad night last night and let DD cry herself to sleep :( Awful. I feel terrible now. I didn't plan on letting her cry to sleep though I just needed a break and was getting really frustrated and angry (DH wasn't home) so I put her down in her cot to have a break. She cried for 10mins (with me going in twice to check her, rewrap, and cuddle her a bit). Then she stopped crying and I snuck in to see what was going on and she was tossing and turning a bit but putting herself to sleep so I didn't let her see me and she went to sleep. I feel terrible though, she probably hates me :(

Not sure why my video link wasn't working on FB but I think I might have fixed it.

Sara- Please don't feel guilty at yourself, sometimes it is better for your sanity to walk away and if she fell asleep in the 10mins thats pretty good. Ash used to scream and scream and fight sleep and I'd go jump in the shower just to try block it out cause seriously it can do your head in as you'd know. Today is a new day, just gotta take each day as it comes.

AJP- woohoo, I'd love a sleep thru! She does do 7hrs straight but they always at the wrong times like 7pm til 2 or midnight til 7. I don't want to have to get up and make bottle in my sleep anymore!

Holly- Oh god, I hated lectures, I could never pay attention and listen in them. Hope you catch up, good on you for doing it all, must be hard. I have my saints top on today and so do both girls even tho Emily is meant to be an Essendon girl but we'll see about that.

Nai- they're always so good for everyone else. I like trivia nights I don't do so well tho so I join up with the smart people, lol.

Emily is so desperate to crawl, she rolls all around the floor to get from A to B but then tries to crawl and gets so cranky when she doesn't move, on the floor boards she starts to slide backwards. I know once she starts there'll be trouble cause she'll go straight for Ashleigh's toys and then WW3 will start!

Heaven - she put herself to sleep which is a positive. She wouldn't have gone to sleep if she was cross with you (at least that's my theory ;) ). Miss J often has a good scream about going to bed but once she gets it out she happily goes to sleep.

Jols - yay on the sleep!

I went to bed at 9pm last night and Miss J slept until 5.30am so I had a good sleep and feel better today! We are having a lovely father's day - DD1 and I made DP pancakes for brekky :D

Still around but still not doing so well.
DH has some gastro like thing and J has scarlet fever. It might account for how he has been acting lately. He is covered head to toe in a rash and has general unwellness. Didn't stop him from throwing the stapler, touching the printer and throwing a dish while at the doctors. The doctor observied him doing all this and reckons he is doing it to get a rise out of me. But what do I do?! How can I not react when we are in public?!

Thats the hard part isn't it Meg, at home its easy to ignore but out you have to think of others too, and you can't just walk out and leave at the Drs. Did you get an appt for the paed?

Yep - but the earliest we can get in in November!!!
PS - Shell as much as I want the saints to win, I would love a Bulldog Saints Grand final, so I am backing the pies today

hi girls.... have been down the coast for the weekend... Alex was a trooper - no probs with the portacot (I stripped the cot before we left, and used teh same sheets down there) although it he was very hard to get settled because of the sound of the water etc.

Got DH videos for father's day and got the black knight on blu ray. Alex's first swim class tomorrow. I've had heaps of computer problems.

So tired today, had dinner with MIL took Em ages to settle in the portacot, she needs more practise in it, might use your advice Tarkine and use sheets blankets from home next time.

Shell - DH is doing ok, thanks for asking. one year anniversary next weekend, so he's going interstate to visit the grave and his dad's sister. I'm thinking about visiting MIL so Alex can have more grandparent time.

We are off on a little holiday to Healesville tomorrow until Friday so I won't be around. We are staying on a farm, just the 4 of us. Will probably go to the sanctuary and some wineries. I am really looking forward to it.

Evening ladies,

We've had a rough time of it recently (by my standards!) - I've had a nasty headcold and then DD picked it up too. We're both still pretty snotty and bleh. Tues/Weds were pretty bad last week, the in laws were away so I was here by myself as DH was working hard and unable to help. Sucks being a mummy when you are sick and then when the little one gets sick too, its just all crap.

Anyway the worst of it seems to have passed now, her sleep went all ratty and we were back rocking her to sleep, feeding every hour, using the dummy... maybe that's why it has taken me so long to get better... anyway today has been much better and she only woke once overnight for a feed (yay).

Maybe she will sleep thru soon!!

Nai - enjoy your mini break! I freaked out the first time I went thru Healesville - with the fires, its a bit spooky out there. I wonder if my friend is back working at the Sanctuary? Hmm.

Jols, poor Millie. See comments above - I feel your pain. Isabel is rolling everywhere but no crawling yet either...

AJP- I love the beechworth bakery... I bought some wine from pennyhills organic winery (when I went there for uni) (I think that's the name of the winery). We went to Easts caravan park at Bateman's bay - they have some lovely waterfront cabins... It was fantastic.. went to the Moruya markets.. we have stayed there just before DH had his hip replacements.

Alex loved his swimming class - it was right on nap time and he struggled through it and then cracked it in the carpark, had a little booby fest but really wanted to go to sleep. I tell you thought I'm exhausted - I had to squat down to keep Alex under water and move around the pool - my legs are aching! It certainly put him into a deep sleep! Wondering if I can take him every day!!

I have not been able to access BB for about a week. THought it was the server but turned out it was just me!! (thanks Jols).

Just a quick one.

DD is 6mths today! She slept through last night.

Work has been okay. Counting the days until holidays though. No time to express at work so jsut feed her as soon as I get home. She hasnt been taking the bottle very well for DP or MIL, one day no milk at all! SHe is loving her solids though!!! SO funny.

SHe also rolled from back to front today for the first time. SHe's had the other way down packed for a few months but now can do both.

Had a bit of a fight with DP today and I completely lost it at him. I was very emotional (I dont even know why) but we were fighting about the christening and how many people are coming and the cost,etc. Have a splitting head ache now but I am sure all is alright.

Thinking of you all. Will now go back and read everything that has been written.

Yeah Emily's getting the sickies here, miserable, clingy, sleeping more (now thats a plus!) off her bottles only drank 40mls of night bottle then only 100 this morn so I know shes not well!

Ali- Yay on the sleep thru, boo on the fight. Its hard tho you both prolly feeling exhausted, emotional from being back to work, finances always put bit strain in there. Df keeps telling me I'm not allowed to do Emilys christening til I'm back at work, all these costs add up.

Meg- How is everything going at your place? Hope you are keeping well surrounded by these sickies. Getting any sleep?

Emily thankfully isn;t that unwell. Slight temp yesterday but settled with bit panadol.
Yeah Tulip farm has kids days on 23rd, 24th and 30th sep. We gonna see what weather is like before we decide when to go.

Poor em now has temp 38.3, given panadol. If she is not better by tomor I'll go to the Dr, altho she is miserable she doesn't seem really unwell or in pain or anything so hoping just a virus, she sounds snuffly too.

AJp- How r the girls this afternoon any better?

Lewis has been sick too went to Dr's Mon & wed he has bronchiolitis.. I hadn;t heard of t much before but apparently effects babies under 12 months, is a viral infection of the brochioles, which makes bubs weezing and have rapid creathing, L has a nasty cough and is off his feeds... we are over the worse of it but cough can last up to a month!! My poor little man.

DD is pushing my buttons today, had to make some important calls and she just kept doing things that she knows I don;t like... thank god for ABC kids!!! I hate loosing my patients with her but ARRRRHHHH she just does not listen some days!!!
Sorry for the rant!!! Needed to get it off my chest....

pinny sophie spiked temp again this arvo, right when teh nurofen wears off, think we'll be back a t the dr's tomorrow, 3 times in 5 days! sophie has been watching lots of tv too!! dont feel bad!!

As soon as the panadol kicks in Em is like back to her old self, thats why I don't think she is too bad cause it works so fast. She been sleeping alot too so hopefully that'll help, she'll only be awake for an hour or just over before she is ready for a sleep.

AJP- Did the Dr put Sophie on any Abs or was seeing how she went first?

Pinny- Tv can be so handy sometimes, I do that on days when Ash drives me nuts, put on Nick Jr and sit her in front of it just so I can get time to think!

Shell - the estate is still going - its almost at the stage of going to court... Just glad that everything has been handled properly from the start.. its getting nasty.. sigh.. Poor DH is not really coping with all the crap that the other party are putting them through... she is stating that she was in a relationship with him, but he didn't come home for 3 days and she didnt' report him missing or go around to this work - WTF... If that was DH I'd be ringing and going around to where he worked if he was 3hrs overdue (and hadn't called me to tell me where he was)...

Alex has started goign up on his knees and hands, drinking water and going crazy over solids... he's growing up too fast!!

shell no abs yet ive just made another appt for sophie tomorrow morning 8.10am :o she curled up moaning on the couch temp not coming down :( .... oh my shes fallen asleep she must be sick

Tarkine...must be so hard for your DH..we have had similar issues on my DH's side of the family this year too, hopefully it will be sorted by december for us though and it was settled outside of court. Chin up hope it gets sorted for you soon.
