Great pics Laura!

Well, Oliver and I saw a LC today, and it was really good. She was so nice and supportive, and kept mentioning how healthy and happy Oliver looks . So, I started feeding Oliver with the nipple shield, then took it off after a little bit - and wouldn't you know it, he actually started feeding without any trouble!!! He'd never done that before! He fed for a couple of minutes without the shield before he spluttered a bit, then realised something wasn't quite right and started getting upset. We settled him and tried again, but it upset him again. The LC said this is good news, cause it means that he can actually attach without the shield... it's more just a matter continuing to try, and me really 'shaping the breast' for him.
The LC made me feel good about everything - cause she said even if the worst case scenario occurs where he can't be weaned from the nipple shield and my supply does drop - I can still feed him using the nipple shield, express and if need be, use formula top ups. I hope it doesn't come to that... but I feel confident that whatever happens, I'm doing the best I can for my baby boy .
So... we'll see how it goes.

Oh, and in non-baby related news - my DH and I will be homeowners in 30 days! Everything has been approved and settlement is 27th May! Woot!!!

I hope everyone is doing well .
