Hiya ladies back again for personals as promised!
Sterla: Don't you go feeling like a bad mum, you are a GREAT mum and Oliver seems to be thriving baby. as you can see by my post above, some nurses bedside manners just aren't that crash hot. I do a lot of pram walking myself everyday but not joined a group, that sounds awesome! Might look that up to see if anyone does it in the area. Was there any cool mums??
Blip: Good to see Daz is going good still! YAY! Hope you got the meds situation sorted out for you and the BF keeps going strong. When are you due for your show and tell at school with Daz?
Rainbow: So sorry to hear about your cousin's dad, hope the funeral went as ok as it could under the circumstances and OMG, I could not believe this GPO that tells you Bella had Spina Bifide, WTF! You'd think he couls have said, listen..its better to get it checked out as I am not sure whether all the spine bits are in the right places instead of freaking you out like this. Hope this week is a bit brighter for you
Jords: I am also on my learners! Its slow coming mind you but we're getting there!
Definately get on your hubby's case to get a decent pram, it makes the world of difference and its such a good feeling to get out everyday ( weather pending) to go out for a walk, it's good for the bub as they are getting fresh air and its good for you cause you get out of the house :)
Mkart: Welcome to you and Anastesia!!
Ok thats it for now, hope everyone is well and will post very soon :)

evening ladies!
Anthiea - i'm seeing an LC at the hospital and i sure she'd know some one at the hospital who could get the procription for it. or maybe even one that can be used long term (im not sure motilim can be, can it?)
Jords- Thank-you. daz did good at his check up! at the milk guns. how much fun is it?
Sterla- a walking group ay? that'd be fun! im in your boat (again LOL) with the moving into a cot. mind you we still have to pick up daz's AND work out where the hell it'll go! but we need to do it soon, daz strechs his arms out and his little hands poke out each side! haha
Moose- woo your still around! bugger about the MCHN! yes bubs can sleep more if they're not eating enough but it may also be they're about to have a growth spert! if she's happy and alert dont worry about it that much! babies do what they want when they want! I'm glad sammys found a way to be on her tummy. a bub at my MG today had a pillow for it and we did baby massarge and he little thing fell asleep! it was so cute!
AFM: daz and i had Mothers Grp today. it was alright. there are alot of ways of being a mum! like two mums said that they dont pick there bubs up if they're crying unless they need them to! (insert :wall: ) and when i piped up that i found the best thing for darren was to be held untill he fell alseep and to be near him to comfort him as it helps him later in life with comforting himself i got looks that would make you explode from them! mind you one of the girls (and i dont mean to bad mouth her but...this'll make you go :jawdrop:! ) she said her bub had reflux (he was born on the 3rd of march) and he was always throwing up alot. she then said he was taking 250mls. yes 250mls i have never felt so shocked! i give daz a max of 200ml but he only takes about 180ml. (and brings up about 10-15ml at a guess) im still a little bit :o about it really. but we did have fun doing baby massarge one bub hates being on his tummy so his mum puts a little pillow under him and she was massargeing his back and he fell alseep one of the other mums got a photo of it...he looked so cute! after MG i had a MCHN appt. daz is now 5.134kg and 56cm long aaaaaaannd his head cect is 40.4! finely his sunnies stay on his head (check out my FB for photos!) we also manged to go down the street and buy stuff for tea ( i walked to MG/ MCHN) and got home with out too much of a fuss. mind you daz wanted to be in the sling on the way home which worked out so i could use the pram as a take- home trolly LOL. got the krud money today to. so did my part to stimulate the ecconmy and bought some more hair dye. as im already sick of the brown so im going back to red! lol. hopefully next week i'll get my hair cut...i need a change!
Hrm. i better *think* about bed
g'night ladies hope you're all 'aving a good night/morning!

Good morning ladies :).
Antheia: You must be so, so tired! (noticed on FB) I hope you manage to catch up on your sleep. Everything feels ten times harder when you're sleep deprived.
Jords: My pramwalking group went well. There was only 3 other mums, but it was alright. They were friendly enough, but I wouldn't say I hit it off with any of them either. Oliver was by far the youngest bub there - there was also a 7 month old boy, a 2 year old girl, and 3 and 5 year old brothers. We walked along a nice path that leads to the Gorge (local attraction). There was some play equipment that the older kids played on. I held Oliver for a while and he fell asleep. Other than that, Oliver was wide awake the whole time looking around at everything!
A decent pram is well worth the money. I have a second hand Valco Baby 3 wheeler pram, and it's so good. Easy to move and fold down, and Oliver loves it.
Moose: So nice to hear from you! Sorry you had a bad experience with a MCHN too. Our group seems to have such rough luck with doctors and nurses. I'm glad the LC was so much nicer! I'm more than sure that Sammy is happy and healthy - if you think she is, then I'm sure she is - you know best :).
Glad your MG is going well. That's a good idea for tummy time - I might give that a go with Oliver. I finally called up about joining a MG, but it doesn't start until July 6! I bet Oliver will be the oldest baby there, cause he'll almost be 5 months by then!
Blip: It's probably good to be exposed to all those mums with their different ways of being a mum - makes us realise that there is no 'right' or 'wrong' way - just your way!
I'm so glad Darren is going so well! :D What a good growing boy!
AFM: Oliver was pretty cranky last night. Every Wednesday my parents and us take turns going to each others houses to watch Spicks and Specks. Last night it was our turn to go to my parents, and Oliver was not happy the entire time! My mum and dad really wanted a hold, but Oliver did not want to be held by anyone else! We ended up leaving earlier than usual, and then Oliver was all nice and happy and calm once we got home. I'm wondering if the big walk yesterday might have worn him out, cause he was so wide awake and taking everything in the whole time.
Oh, and I'm still a bit lacking in mummy confidence... this time over my milk supply. It's cause that stupid MCHN basically told me my milk supply would drop with me using nipple shields. As you all know, it's all been fine so far as Oliver has been gaining really well... but she still got in my head, and now I'm obsessing over whether Oliver is getting enough milk. All signs point to him getting enough, but I'm still worrying about it all the time... (sigh)
-
moring ladies!
Sterla- useing a nipple sheald whilest decreseing the stimulation of the nipple doesnt always = low supply. just means Oli has to work a little harder! if he's gaing, feeding 'normaly' then its all good! and if you express and get 50ml and thats it ignore it becuase expressing isnt a true indiacter of supply (i can say that because i've head SOO meany people say it to bf'ing mums! but for me its all i got LOL!) MCHN have a habbit of freaking us out. when that happens i pull out the MCHN melly and give 'em a bashing ;)
Ooo better go Daz is on the up wake!
-
Hello ladies,
First, I forgot to say hi to Antheia in my post yesterday, hope Orson is feeling better and that you are getting more sleep.
Sterla: Good on you for calling up about the MG, it doesn't matter if Oli is a bit older, it6 will still be cool, you'll be the "pro" :)...don't they have a group at all before that? Is it because you're in Tassie and there are not as many babies/mums? I'm glad the pram group went well, go again, sometimes it takes a couple go before you really click with people. Re: your milk supply... STOP STRESSING! I know its hard but seriously love, Oli is gaining so well and he is obviously a happy little vegimite otherwise you would know if he was starving. Don't you just hate that when they get stuff like that in your head. If you are really worried about your supply, just ask yourself...1) Am I getting plenty of wet nappies? 2) Is Oli settling/sleeping well? 3) Is OLi happy and giving you lots of smiles? 4) Is he gaining weight at a reasonable level? If you answered yes to these questions, Oli is getting plenty of milk and stop worrying about it. BTW, We love Spick and Specks at our house too!!
Blip: I know it sometimes seems hard to understand why certain parents make some choices but I think Sterla has got it summed up when she says : it "makes us realise that there is no 'right' or 'wrong' way - just your way!" Whatever works for you and your bub as long as we have a happy healthy baby & family :)
AFM: Sammy has been going to sleep at 6:45pm the last 2 nights and sleeping til 3:45am! It;s been so awesome, we have been trying the self settling techniques given to us by the EC nurse and they are starting to pay off. We've also been following the same routine nightly and that has also paid off. I must say it is nice to have our evening to ourselves again, if only for a while until it all changes again! lol She started rolling on her sides earlier this week and she loves it! I went to check on her one night and found her asleep on her side! I was shocked, she sleeps exactly like I sleep with her fists up by her chin...was really cute and now she is rolling on her mat on the floor and she cracks herself up doing it. She started being a little chucky today..not sure whats up she normally doesn't vomit and she has after each feed today, only a little but is a bit unusual, hope she is not coming down with anything.
Anyway, got to get some housework done..there is an inch of dust in our place!Lots of cuddles to all you mums and bubs!
Mxx

 I know, I know... must stop stressing and obsessing.
Moose: That's awesome with Sammy's big sleeps! Oliver has big sleeps too, though his are more from 11pm-7.30am, which suits me, as that's about the time I like to sleep anyway. How cute that Sammy is rolling a bit, and sleeps just like her mummy!
Don't worry about Sammy being a bit chucky. Oliver goes through stages where he might a few times in one day, then other times where he won't at all for days. Maybe she's just getting more milk than her little tummy can hold?
AFM: Oliver is sleeping so much today - well, more than he usually does. Oh, and I gave him a rattle before, and he was holding onto it and shaking it (and then bringing it to his mouth to suck on!) - made his mama so proud! :D

Good day Ladies!
Only a short one to say hi, I shall be back tommorrow. I was trying to be disciplined(sp?) today and stop myself from logging on so I could get some housework done, clearly I couldnt help myself from having a little peek
Good to see you back Moose :)
Smiles*

Haha Jords! Its good to be back and chattin' away. Now you get back and start cleaning :)

God i know how you feel. I have joined BB almost 5 years ago now and im still addicted and have to go on every single day i can!
-
morning ladies!
:yeahthat: i agree BB is addicive!
sterla & moose: OMG lucky. daz has his last feed at 12:30-1am and is up agian by 4:30-5! but sleeps agian unill 7:30/8! as for there is no right way or wrong i felt horrable FOR the bub! i know its not my way but hearing "i dont pick him up untill i see tears" made me want to  ! ... maybe A/F is on her way back? maybe thats why im so emotional! haha...(scary thing is i'd be due now if i hadn't have gotten UTD lol)
AFM: yesterday i went to my old work in a shopping center about 20mins from my place and spent from 12noon untill 4:30pm there...on my own with daz! i had intended to leave around 2 but daz was sound alseep and i thought i'd use the K-dud bonus and "STIMULATE THIS ECCONMY" which ended in daz getting 2 new pairs of pants two shirts, a singlet and a rattle...Ohh and some sun blocker outters for the car. had a bit of an :o moment mind you a girl i worked with is getting married next month! because chinese traditoin says get married ASAP! but it was also a :o moment becuase she lost her mum last month :( which was sad. but she seems ok. she told he she's thinkin of kids and asked me to discribe the pain of labour; which im still at a loss to explain!
Any whoo i better go and eat something before daz wakes up!
hope every one is having a lovely day!
-
I too and so, so addicted to BB! I must log on everyday!
Blip: Daz's sleep pattern sounds good - kind of like what Oliver was doing in the early days. I bet he's on the way to sleeping through! That does sound pretty harsh to me too - not picking a bub up till there's tears :(.
Go D with stimulating the economy! We've yet to receive our K-Rudd money - but ours will most likely be spent on paint or carpet for our house.
AFM: Well, I put Oliver down for a nap in his cot (instead of his bassinet which he's used full time since birth), and he's fast asleep! He's been sleeping for 20 minutes so far, and doesn't look like waking any time soon! I'm so glad he's having a good sleep in it, cause he's really not going to fit in his bassinet much longer.
Oh, and he's getting so good with his tummy time! He can lift his head up pretty high, and for longer and longer each time. I gave him a rattle yesterday, which he held onto and was shaking around heaps (before sucking on it of course) - and me, being a big mama sook started getting all teary at how proud I was of him! :D
I'm off to the docs this afternoon for my pap - fun...
Hope everyone is well.

Hey Girls :)
Oh my goodness, Winter has been relentless today... skipped her normal morning sleep, has napped for like 20 mins, finally have her down now, so fingers crossed I can get this post finished because I have a bunch of stuff I want to say, and I always find I forget to say a bunch of things I was meaning to, every single time I post.
Jeez where to start?!
Sterla- I tried to add you to my msn through your little icon but it didnt work, so maybe if you send me a message on msn and i can add you that way?? Try not to stress about your milk... stoopid nurse! why would sheilds make a difference? just from the stimulation? would massaging your boob while feeding make a difference? as you can tell im a pro on these issues :)
Well done with the cot transfer!
Blip- That little baby at your MG must be like a goldfish-just eat and eat till sick. 250ml is huge, poor bub. Not sure who it is on BB but there quote is something like "someone is always someone elses weirdo" so true...
jeez im so scattered today another hard night I cant even think of what im doing atm...
Moose- Are you close to getting your P's? Im finding it quite hard as the only person around to give me lessons is DP but we have noone to leave Winter with and there is NO WAY i want to drive with her in the car... So Ive just been paying for lessons, but at $50 a pop I dont want to get more than one a week, so its a long process...
Ok warning too much info coming up.... DP and I DTD 2 nights ago and... it was good! I was still nervous but after a while got into it and
OH CRAP! Winter just woke up!!!! DAMMIT lol Ill be back in a bit ARRRRGH LOL
-
OK I'm back, who knows how long the peace will last so here we go...
With DTD Im glad we got it over and done with(how romantic)Im still not in a big rush to do it again though... not that it wasnt good, it was nice to be close to DP but I think its just being so busy with Winter, as bad as it sounds it feels like.. oh i really dont know how to explain, so maybe ill stop dribbling :P
So I was sitting with DP at the table last night and I said to him that I had something to tell him... it went something like this... "Dad Ive been thinking and Ive spoken to my baby buddies and they all agree with me - We are buying a new pram. Sorry you cant change my mind, ive even been looking on ebay." "Ok well I guess i cant say anything" "No, you cant. I love you" heheheh :)
Hope everyone is having a great friday and has a great weekend :)
Oh one last thing for now... DP now calls BB my "cult" cos ive become addicted so quick. I love it though, and chatting to you girls has really saved my sanity in these last couple of weeks. I was feeling so isolated at one point. Thank you all!:grouphug:
-
Jords: LOL thats the way girl!!! I have a mountain buggy swift and although expensive, is AWESOME, its light and can fit through anything, supermarket aisle and still sporty enough to have a bit of rough terrain.
As to getting close to my P's well...its on its way, I was doing really well before Xmas, took some prefessional lessons as DH and I were heading butts a lot but went from having a small Toyota Starlet to a Nissan Xtrail, so am a bit scared to drive around in the big one, on top of all the arguments it seems to cause between DH and I, but we will get there!! I think I know what you mean with DTD...I think I just see myself as a mum and not so much "a Lover" as such and that needs to change as DTD is part of a healthy marriage but I think its almost like an identity crisis where we are redefining who we are and that takes time too. Glad we can be there for your sanity, even if we are a cult :)
Sterla: thats good that Oli is now sleeping in his cot part time, it will make easier to transition him as opposed to changing it big bang, *I might do that for Sammy and her snuggle bed as she is almost too tall for it now. Thats so cool about the rattle, Sammy doesn't seem that interested in rattles, she likes animals, in books and talks to her stuffed friends all the time, especially a moose we named Marvin, its hilarious to watch her with him. Enjoy the pap, its alwys SO nice, isn't it?
Blip: Thats was a cool way to spend your stimulus, we are still waiting for ours but will go towards investments and getting a new sound system as well as paying for the Chrtistening party on the 12th of July. Thats sad about your friend that lost her mum right before she is getting married, I know I missed my parents when they couldn't see me walking down the aisle, its funny how some other cultures have got different traditions, I just hope she is happy. I also think that one can never truly explain the journey of giving birth to your child, its one of those moments where "you just had to be there!" Sounds like it was a good arvo. As for the sleep, well Sammy woke up at 12:30 and then again at 5am, not sure if that's got something to do with the spewing, she just seems a bit off. I'm sure it will all sorte itself out but I feel myself so blessed that I have a child that sleeps so well, I just hope it lasts!
AFM: I had THE WEIRDEST morning walk ever. DH is not working til tonight so I asked him to come on my work out walk with me and Sam. We normally have our standard route but forthe last couple weeks, I;ve been meaning to start walking up this giant hill to pump up the work out a biut but been delaying it and I had a wicked neck and back pain last week so have not really been walking. Dh convinced to go up it today and he got up to the top before I did and started chatting with this lady, who turned out to be a psychic. She basically gave us a reading on the spot. Today is my mom's birthday and she passed 2 years ago on my birthday of all things. The first thing she asked was Sammy's birthday, which we gave her and she said she was feeling someone with curly brown hair, very skinny and pretty tall that is with her all the time. That is pretty much my mom to a 'T" ( note I am short and chubby, not tall and skinny) she proceeded to tell us that Sam is a Rainbow Child ( look it up on the net its interesting) and has an orange Aura which will lead her onto the golden path. She said Sammy was a very special child who will be a leader and will aim to serve people ( not being a servant but serve to make it a better place) She will be impatient as a child as she is very smart and will have a hard time understanding why others don't "get it" right away and will want to move along. She went on like this for a good half an hour and talked about my dad that has also passed and said that DH used to be a roman centurion in the past life. So, needlessto say , it was a FULL ON experience, I had a few tears and was left somewhat stunned by this whole ordeal. She also said my mom would flicker a light in the next couple days to let know she is there and that this lady is for real. Can't wait to see whether this will happen or not.
Anyway, Bean is up, just thought I would share my weird morning with you ladies...Sammy is still chucking after almost every feed, I just feel her not being too well..call it mother;s instinct
Mxx
