'ey ladies!
daz had hid needles today...plus the drops for gastro. he was so brave! even when i took off that cotton wool band-aid thingy! we then went off to MG, i was the youngest, with one of the oldest bubs! ha. but one of the mums in my group i knew! oddly enough her little man was in SCN with daz. which was cool. we also talked about nappys and had foot prints made up too! (as in stamp type ones!)
now i better go cook tea!
I wasnt going to vaccinate Orson. But after this whole whooping cough epedemic i decided to. He got them yesterday right on 2mths. Poor thing cried so muchand had this massive look of hurt on his face :(
Blip, im also going to get Orson's footprint stamped and im going to get it as a tattoo and then have the kids names around it in a circle (when im finished having kids that is!) Just so i can remember how small they used to be. Im also getting hand and foot sculpures done as i have done with the other 2.
Blip: Aww about Darren having his needle :(. I'm glad he was so brave :D. Those footprint things sound good - I'd like to do something like that sometimes soon, before Oliver gets too big!
Antheia: It's so awful watching our bubs get needles, isn't it! I hated it (I almost cried when Oliver got his). How is his cold going? I hope he's feeling okay.\
AFM: Something strange is going on with my milk supply... my right boob has gone into overdrive making milk! I've been soaking through nursing pads really quickly, the milk just pours out, and poor Oliver can't keep up with it! I don't know how it managed to happen... weird. I hope it settles back down again soon.
Orson's cold is ok. Bought some fess little noses and it seems to help with his cough as its stopping the phlem from running down his throat.
Not sure whats up with your milk supply though. Does he feed more on that side?
I'm glad Orson is okay. I'm really not looking forward to Oliver's first cold.
I think my right side has always been a little more plentiful with milk, but it's ridiculous at the moment. I think my right side often feels fuller, so I've tended to offer that side first which has probably promoted the oversupply. I posted in the b/f area and got a few good suggestions for trying to even things up a bit.

Oliver is being cheeky tonight. He was sleepy earlier on, but now is wide awake and in the mood to work his neck muscles. He can pretty well hold his head up now, and he looks so darn pleased with himself when he does it! So cute, cheeky boy!

anthiea - i have MSN i just added you :D. i got darren jabbed because my lovely DH checked for the imunisation allowace :wall: then last night when daz was a little funny asked "OMG can that change his peronality or make him forget me?" ... can you tell my DH works too much :P im glad to hear orson is feeling better. i've used that fess stuff with darren it drys out the nose and makes it snot go down better or something!
Sterla - the only idea i have about the over supply is to express some off and then freeze it? never know when it'll come in handy (i had half a lt in my freezer afer SCN...came in real handy!) glad to see Oli's holding his head up! its one of those "aww" moments. if you have a video camra put it inline with his face and just let it record. we got some cute footage that way!
AFM: daz was good last night. he was a little unsettled, but nothing magor. all though he did comfort suck on a bottle (thank gawd it was formular!) and about 20mins later....it ended up all over him and left a cat rather :o about it...the cat got away clean though eheh. thismoring he's been pritty good to. im hopeing hes not getting ready to be a bugger at my mum and dads place tonight. i better head off and have a shower...becuase its dads birthday and i need to get him something!

Blip, you can still get that immunisation allowance without getting the needles. You just need to sign a form to say you wont be vaccinating them.
Blip: Yeah, I think I will start expressing and freezing some of this 'excess' milk I have. I've been intending to for some time (just in case), but never quite got around to it. It will certainly come in handy for when I'm finally ready to let my parents look after Oliver for an evening (they keep asking!) I'm glad Darren had a good night. Lol about him scaring the cat! How have your cats adjusted to Darren? Both our cats are pretty scared of Oliver. They've had a quick sniff here and there, but get freaked out as soon as Oliver makes any noise! Sometimes they're okay. A few times I've ended up with Milo (the younger cat) trying to sit on me while I'm feeding Oliver. Kind of cute :).
Antheia: I've been trying to get on MSN to add you, but it won't let me sign in today for some reason. I'll keep trying. It will certainly be handy to be able to communicate with all you ladies when BB is down.

Oliver is sleeping really well today (he usually doesn't during the day), so I have all this spare time. I should be doing the dishes now, but really can't be stuffed. I think it's the weather... it's so dark and overcast and windy, I just feel like watching telly and surfing the net :D.

i have had the WORST 2 days so far this year...
Wednesday i found out that my cousins dad passed away from a heart attack. He was supposed to be having a bypass soon and yesterday he had an appointment to get die put through (i think that is to see blockages??) anyway he postponed the app until monday because he didnt want to upset his daughter as it was her mum's (his ex wife) birthday yesterday also and they were going out for lunch. He died roughly around lunch time. all i can think of is that if he had of gone to his app he would still be here!! instaed we are having his funeral on monday
AS FOR YESTERDAY...It all started when i had to go to the doctors at 3pm, i had to get bellas bum checked out (as some of you might remember from an earlier post) and the doctor said "ok yep she does have spina biffida, i cant feel the bottom of her spine and there is a gap where there shouldnt be a gap!!"
My heart dropped into my stomach, i felt soo sick and all i wanted to do was cry. He asked me if i had been taking folic acid throughout the pregnancy (well actually he was trying to imply that i hadnt taken it) and i said yes i took it religiously as well as iron tablets.
He showed me all these different diagrams and printed me out some information on spina biffida- he also said you need to see a paed right away and we also need to get some X-rays done.
Before i went to the paed i had to get bellas needles she was a little trooper though she only squealed a tiny bit when the needles actually went in...
Ok so i ended up at the paed's at about 4:10pm and sat in the waiting room until 4:45 and then i finally got called in, he checked everything out and said "nope she is completely fine"

Sterla - with our cats they've been really good with darren, ive had both cats at one point or another on my knee while feeding him (our male did it SOME how as he's HUGE!) but they're good with him like if he's on the floor they sit at the edge of the matt he's on and watch him and some times walk over and sniff him. when i've had an early morning feed they come and sleep on the bed some times and if they do its like right under darrens bum!

AFM: went shopping is darren yesterday and he slept for most of the time...then when he did wake up he didnt crack it and want out of the bassent and i got to eat :dance: lol then after i changed and fed him he didint want togo in the bassent so out came the sling!
we got home and had a good feed and sleep. but by the time daz was sound alseep we had to go to my mum and dads. thank-fully daz slept in the car and for about an hour after we got there too. my nan was there (so darrens Grate Granma) and she got a cuddle which was nice! the only down side to going there was i said i was going to look into swimming lessons for darren (my mum and dad have a pool thats fenced off...but i'd rather not take a chance) and all i got from both mum and dad was "wait untill summer...after all he's been though" which i said "it may be good for him as he's a very, very tence baby. i want him to relax a little and it's also a good idea becuase i dont want to chance him getting into your pool and not know how to swim!" which my mother mutterd "he wouldnt be able to get in" :wall: but Chris said to look into it and talk to the physio about it and see what they think. If it helps then we'll do it.
now i better go and put some washing on and {insert singing voice here} 'express myself'

Antheia-how are your little ones? Are they feeling better? That is exciting Orson is almost rolling!They are developing so quick! Thats a nice idea about your tattoo... how many kids do you think you'll end up having? My mum got our names in an armband tattoo like 10 years ago(I have 3 younger brothers) its nice and she'll never get sick of it because its sentimental. Moose- How was your mothers group? I would love to join a MG but I think i've said in a previous post I dont have my licence(currently getting lessons) so I find it hard to get around sometimes...thats a great idea about having a doctor chat to Mum's... did you learn much? Do you take Sam on your walks? 3000 photo's is impressive, im crazy with the camera as well, I have a trillion of the same pose, Winter is so photogenic though, I cant wait to put some photo's up to show you girls. I got some beautiful shots of her and DP last weekend. Thank you for the tip about copying your reply! Im currently typing in notepad

Baby_Blip- Good to hear little Darren was well behaved for you at your folks, oh thats really nice his great grandma got a cuddle, im sure she was stoked. Argh sometime parents just have no idea though, like for crying out loud! Even if he couldnt get in to the pool area surely there is no problem with prevention and giving little daz new skills? How do you find your mothers group? Thats nice about one of your old teachers visiting you, its fun to show off

Greetings Michelle!!!! How is little Anastasia? And yourself?
My goodness its literally taken me an hour almost to type this, mostly one handed feeding the Turd!She is almost asleep but just wont drop off!! So our few days have been good, yesterday we caught the train into the city to see a good friend,the train was PACKED and of course the only person who offered their seat was another mum with a pram!! It was a good trip, I didnt have to get my boob out on the crowded train so that was a highlight. Today we went to the doctors cos behind Winter's ears have been a bit funky,turns out she has a sweat rash so we got some ointment to clear it up but we waited for over an hour!

Also we had our first big baby conversation today,it was SO cute!!! She was cooing and chatting to me on the bed, ah! Getting close to giggles too I think, yippee :)

Jords & Antheia: Isn't baby talk sooo cute! Oliver has been 'tallking' for a couple of weeks... he gets so excited he struggles to get it out sometimes!
AFM: Oliver has been fussier than usual today... not sure why yet. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
My antenatal class reunion went well eventually. Times were mixed up and only 3 other couples showed up (not even the midwife who took the class). The room we were supposed to use was shut, so we ended up going to a coffee shop. Everyone was good, and had had boys! The midwife called and came over to the coffee shop halfway through, and found out from her that 7 of the 9 couples had had boys! Was nice to catch up and actually talk (face to face) with other new parents.
Ha ha, I'm glad you mentioned this Jords. I am completely obsessed with my boobs and lactating! Like, weirdly obsessed. I'd talk about it all the time if I had someone IRL that I felt was appropriate to talk about it with.:
...like what I call 'boob tingles', when my boobs tingle briefly about half an hour before Oliver wants a feed. Or how I can make a stream of milk shoot out if I press on my boob in the right place - it gets some distance too :p. Am I the only weird one here?
As for the cleavage thing... well, I'm up to a H cup, so there's certainly no shortage of cleavage here. Actually, you can have some of mine if you like Jords, lol!

haha at milk guns! i did that at one of my cats the other day trying to make my let-down happen a bit faster! as for cleavage...well..i started off as a c-cup before getting preggers, mid- UTDness ment i went to a D. so now i have no clue...at all! haha! (but all my mat. bras are D cups...) but the cleavage side of things i tried on an old U bra thingy i got before getting preggers and thanks to my boobs basicly pointing east-west and slowly heading south (hehe TMI i know!) no good cleavage was made :( but im hopeing that'll change cus *hopefully* in novmeber a ralative of mine is getting hiched so it'd be nice to have cleaveage (i didnt get to at my wedding :( :P )
i know anthiea you're useing or have used maxalon i think it is. for supply issues...im seeing my GP on tuesday and wanted to know if it was worth getting it?
Lol, Nice one Sterla :) I always threatened DP with putting my milk in his morning coffee, so your not the only obsessed person! I'll have to try with the milk guns I think and see how far I can get. Sometimes when Winter drops off I squeez my boob to see if its empty and more than once I've shot milk in her face lol... good times :)

I need cleavage too. Before i had DD i was an A cup. At the moment i'm between a D and a DD. But still no real cleavage. I need a boob job which im getting after i have kids.

thanks anthiea for the name. i wasnt sure and skimmed though some of the things in the bf support page. i've tired expressing for feeds then after. i've tired drinking more (and that just made me pee HEAPS!) and frungeek, even susgegin (twice a day i may add!) and nothings helping. i've taken the step of alternate feeds just so i have enough for 3 (or 4 if im lucky) feeds out of 6 (yes darren is on 6 180ml feeds aday!...and hes not really all that fat!) so im trying this as a last dich effort 'cus im getting depressed over it...which is the other one reson im seeing the GP
i got a question for you anthiea - i have to have a pap done...is it to 'early' to have one done yet? or is it ok?

blip, no its not too early to get a pap done. You usually get it done at the 6 week check. I got mine done when Orson turned 7 weeks.
I havent had AF for 11.5 months! So bizzare. It's the longest i have gone because after the other 2 were born AFcame backafter 5 weeks.
yeah? i dont think i had one done becuase i wasnt bleeding but i did still have brown discharge plus my stiches on the inside wherent 100% healed so i kind of dodged the bullet but got a letter from my old GP that i need one...so i'll get it done now!

A to D Antheia? Thats a huge jump! I have a friend who recently got her boobs done,she was an A cup and they look really good,you would never know they were surgically enhanced.

Wow, I hadn't thought about how long it's been since I've seen AF. I think my last one was early May last year... so I'm approaching 12 months too! There's been a couple of times where I thought she'd returned, but they were false alarms. She can stay away as long as she like!
I haven't had a pap yet. I understood that they'd do one at the 6 week check, but the doctor didn't mention it at all... not that I minded. The doctor was an old, bearded man who looked ready for retirement. I'm going to book another appointment with my usual female doctor instead and get it done then, cause I am way, way overdue for one.
Antheia: That sucks that your AF came back so quickly the last few times. Haha, I know what you mean about late night rage - there's some weird stuff out there isn't there!
Jords: Sorry you have a cold :(. Hope you're feeling better soon. Yup, stay on the couch and get your DP to do everything for you ;)!
AFM: Well, Oliver slept for 8 hours straight last night!!! That's the longest he's slept so far, and it was soooo nice to have all that unbroken sleep! I've noticed that his long night time sleep is getting longer and slowly happening more often. He looks so hungry when he finally wakes up though! And my boobs feel ready to burst!
We have a check-up tomorrow - I'm quite excited to see how much he's grown! He's so big now compared to when he was born. We passed a couple with a tiny newborn baby yesterday, and I realised that Oliver isn't that small, newborn anymore. I started feeling nostalgic for 2 months ago!

Sterla, yay for the 8hr sleep! Unlike Orson who woke up every hour last night from 7pm-7am!! I feel like the living dead!
I have squirted milk at our cat and he had no idea where is was coming from and started freaking out lol.
jords- i hope you feel better soon. try some honey and lemmon. i find it always helps me (or maybe just the strange taste distracts me?)
Sterla - Woo well done on the 8hr sleep! im lucky if darren sleeps for 4 hours! its funny seeing new born bubs and going "aww...my bub was once that small" isnt it? mind you daz was 53cm at birth so i missed out on the whole 0000 time strait into 000's! and now he's in 00 cus he's too long for 000s! they need to invent 00U (half a 0 lol) cus darren is *just* getting long enough to fit into 00's. mind you baby clothes are like adult ones. one store/brand (say bonds and taget) that fit daz in 00 (bonds jump sute) and then another he's swimming in (target) lol. rage = very odd...but i guess differant notes for differant folks...
Anthiea - princess diarys was on last night or where you watching a video? orson was up every hour :( i hope he sleeps better for you tonight! maybe he's headed for a growth spert?
AFM: last night daz had his first full night in the bassent on his own - with out me in the room. which involved me getting up every 1.5-2hrs to check on him! tonight he's in the bassent but im in with him JIC he wakes up as DH has to start work early. talked to DH about how im feeling about everything which helped me alot. we also talked about more kids. am i crazy but im already telling DH when we're having our next one...even talked about names today :doh: and with that we talked about if/when we extend the house and i told him i was to go up he agrees but his dad wants to go out! but i think we'll end up going upwards as it'll be better for us :D we also put a cot on layby today as well becuase darren is getting too...well i guess big for his bassent! he stechs his arms out sideways and they poke out the sides! and he's starting to *almost* roll over so i dont want him to hurt himself! tomorrow im going to hopefully start to get into some kind of rythem with darren and see DH on his luncg brake. i'm also thinking i *may* start trying to do some more exersize. DH has some waights i can use and i can do the situps on the fit ball i was doing at the gym (before i got preggers LOL) cus i need to get back into some kind of shape! haha Ohh...i should get some sleep before darrens next feed shouldnt i?

Well Orson has not wanted me to put him down since about 7am Saturday. The only time he has really slept was yesterday morning for about 2 hours. I'm buggered! I wonder what is going on with him this is not like him at all. He is usually a great sleeper.

Blip thats great Darren slept a whole night in his bassinet! Im envious... as much as I love the easy'ness of co-sleeping with being able to latch Winter on and go back to sleep i DREAM of just being able to hog the bed like I always have in the past. Im procrastinating about getting her into her cot because I know its going to mean way less sleep for me, but it has to be done sooner than later.
How did Olivers check up go today Sterla? OH MY GOD 8 hrs you lucky thing! How wicked good is that?!
I know everyone always says it, how fast they grow up but seriously its not untill you pass a newborn in the shops that you go 'far out, where did the time go?' Winter's cousin Jack is 5 weeks younger and you can really notice the difference when they are next to each other.
Today is so good, DP looked after us all day yesterday so the house is spotless and my Mum just left, Winter is asleep and I have Mummy time :dance:
Oh I love late night rage! So much random music, cant remember the last time I was up that late though...
