Hey Girls,
Moose- Thats no good you were down last week. Its hard moving to a new place away from friends, Good you have Sammy though so you have an excuse to get out and meet new people, even though it can feel like an effort at times. Have you thought about trying to meet up with other BB'ers? Im not getting emails either....
Our weekend here was AWESOME! I had my 25th bday yesterday so DP made the whole weekend special for me which was so sweet.Sat all our falilies came over for brekkie and lunch which was nice, then sat he organised a party with a few of my girlfriends and made a huge potent punch, then took Winter out for a few hours so I could get boozed without worrying about anything. I had the best time! Then monday he chucked a sickie to look after Winter (and me!) Best birthday ever :) Enough about me! Fat chops(Winter)is happy and healthy as always and is currently talking to her cupie(kewpie?? sp?)doll. She is a force to be reckoned with now she is crawling... she climbs on everything too!
Hope everyone is having a good day, it is SOOOO hot up here!

Bad spelling in last post, Winter is distracting!

Hi girls,
Feeling much happier today. Oliver had a better night, and I had a nice talk with a mum at playgroup this morning - best medicine for the mummy blues.
Dansta: How are you going? Any morning sickness? It must be so surreal to UTD again! How is DJ these days?
PJ: Chocolate does wonders on those bad days, huh? I eat WAY too much of it, lol. Don't really have any advice about the stroller situation - except that you might find it useful to have two? I only have one - it lives in the boot of the car, and because of that is a real pain to get out if I just want to go for a walk around the streets. I don't like my pram very much either - so if you find a really good one, let me know!
That's great that you are planning a baby shower. My friend threw me an awesome baby shower - complete with quizzes and games and jelly baby ice cubes! PM me if you want any ideas :).
Moose:  Sorry you had a bad week last week - it's hard sometimes, isn't it? Glad you're feeling better this week and starting to settle into your new neighbourhood.
Rock & Rhyme is great isn't it? I mean, I don't know what yours is like, but the one I go to is good.
Yup, my fluffy mail arrived. Am doing a prewash on the new nappy now. I'm sure I'll take pics of Oliver in it and put them on FB soon! Actually, we have some hot days coming up, so I'll be able to put Oliver in just his nappy!
Lol about playing with Sammy while tispy!
Peach: Thanks for the PMs hun .
:happybirthday2: Happy Birthday for yesterday! Sounds like you had a great weekend/day - so sweet of your DP! :) He needs to give my DH some lessons. My birthday is coming up soon too, and I know exactly what I want - a really nice, new nappy bag/handbag. I've been looking around on the net all afternoon to see what's around.
Go Winter heehee! Oliver is becoming more and more of a handful every day!
How is everyone else going - I bet there's a lot of lurkers ;).
AFM: As I said, I feel much better today. Oliver and I went to playgroup this morning where I had a nice chat with a mum there (who is also in MG). Then a quick trip to the shops. Came home, gave Oliver a feed before he had lunch - but he fell asleep on me - so I put him down and he slept for 2 hours!!! I feel so refreshed!
Oliver is crawling everywhere, pulling himself to standing, walking along the couch, trying to crawl in my lap all the time... he's so active it's unbelievable! It's so strange to think that less than 3 weeks ago he couldn't crawl at all! :o
Anyway, I better go.
:grouphug:

moose: aww about the Mg! hopefully you'll find a good play group and maybe stumble into a MG that way? when you move down to Melbourne if your in the south-east you can some join mine! ;) aww about sammy. is she teething? i've for DJ to be more velcro like when teething. hopefully she gets better for you
peach: lol at a relaxing 8 months! when i was over due with DJ i was chaseing a baby birth around the back yard so our cats didnt get it. and was helping DH & FIL move parts of a car port we where re-locating! i'm not good with the whole "help" concept. i give but not take :p i'm glad your birthday weekend was lovely for you. even your DP chucking a sickie thats soo sweet!
sterla: aww im glad your feeling better about things. i think we all have a "wall" we run into from time to time. Go Oli :bluecheer: with the crawling. DJ is still rollin' around but thats bad enough lol. its scary how once they pick something up they go hammer and tong at it, isnt it? did you find a nice ha-nap bag? i hope your DH buys you one you like!
AFM: cup day was good. got the baking done then spent 3 hours decorateing the cake. and no i didnt take photos, i hated how it looked! but it tasted good.DH told one of his friends. then DH's friend who i've been drinking with when we've caught up commented i wasnt drinking or driving and said " you must be knocked up" and i said "yep, and guess who'll be driving me to hospital if DH cant make it!" he said "not me?" but he was happy. we ended up telling every one by the end of the day. but being UTD seems to have given me better aim. i managed to hit DH's mate in the head twice when thoughing things at him (first time it was an armond the second it was some kabarna )the only downer was a good friend of mine bought his g.f along. she was an odd one. spent most of the time inside with out cats. and was in the bathroom for a while (one of the mums from MG was there and opended the door and was like "umm im peeing, walk in at your own risk" - we only have one bathroom/toilet) but other that it was good. i've not had morning sickness *touch wood* yet. just some really bad heart burn, thats made me throw up.and been tired. Ohh and i must be going to have another hairy baby. ive got hiccups already! Ohh and guess what? now 3 mums in my MG are UTD! hehe. thats as close as we'll get to half (we have 7 in our group) which will make things fun mid-next year. i guess at least i'll have some people to come entertain me when im whale sized!
Oo o better go!
hope every one is having a good night!...wow this was longer then i thought!!
-
Good Morning!
How is everyone today? Did everyone sleep well?
Last night I went to yoga for the first time in like 6 months, and it was soooooo good! Have any of you girls tried it? Winter of course wouldnt go to sleep for DP so they played together untill they had to pick me up at half 8... and she was snoring in the car when I got in :) Then I fed her when we got home and she slept through till 6am!!!! WOOP! Her sleep is finally getting better which is SO good, but I dont want to jinx anything!
Today Im meant to be at MG... but DP thought I said I wasnt going so didnt leave enough time in his break to drop us there, so we are home all day again today :(
Sterla- Have you found a nice nappy bag yet? When is your birthday?? And what new nappy is this you speak of???? What are you and Oli up to today??
-
Hi!
Dansta: Glad cup day was good! Lol about UTDness giving you better aim! OMG :o about so many mums in your MG being UTD - must be something in the water? :p
Peach: Yoga sounds great! I haven't ever taken yoga classes, but have tried it out a couple of times. That is so great about Winter sleeping so well!!! You must feel like a new woman!
We had an okay night last night. Oliver was up 3 times, but it was still a good night cause he was easy to out back down after his feed. He woke at about 6.30am and just played in his cot for a while. Much better for us :).
I'm doing lots of looking around for nappy bags. I started a thread asking about them, and some of the bags suggested are so pretty! My birthday is later this month (27th) - so if I work out which one I want now I should get it in time.
Ah yes - got a new nappy. A cushie tushie couture - the blue with white dots - very nice. I also got a wet bag and some foaming wash cleanser (since I use cloth wipes). I don't buy nappies as often now - but still get the occasional one :). Itti bitti have some new nappies coming out in a couple of weeks - really nice patterns... I may end up getting a couple of them too .
AFM: Oliver and I went to Rock & Rhyme this morning and saw some of the other mums and bubs fromy my MG there. Afterwards we dropped in on DH at work (which I hardly ever do), and the baby of another guy who works there was in - she turns 1 at the end of this month. Oliver and her were having fun crawling around after each other - very cute!
Not sure what we're up to this afternoon. I just made pikelets for lunch - might let Oliver try some :).
Speaking of Oliver, he is awake, so I better go.
-
Sterla: sounds like a lovely morning you had. I can't believe Oliver is still up 3 times a night...he used to be such a good little sleeper..can I ask what your nightime routine is? Did you ask anyone at the EC if they had any ideas ? You poor thing, I just can't imagine being up 3 times a night anymore. Hope he settles for you soon.
Dansta: that is INSANE about 3 mums in your MG alone all UTD...as Sterla said, there must be something in the water or in your baking ;-) I wish I could have seen your mate's face when you said that you were indeed utd and he may have to drive you to hospital! LOL I'm glad the morning sickness is holding off for you. When is your next scan? Are you getting an 8 week one or straight to 12 weeks?
Peach: I forgot to mention, I am still Sydney Moose cause we haven't moved to Melbourne yet and most likely won't be for a bit. Happy Belated Birthday!! I am glad you had a great one, it was so nice of your DH to chuck a sickie!!! I did yoga all through my pg and loved every minute of it, I found a group close to home that does a class on Wednesday nights but finances are a bit too tight at the mo, but am hoping I can start again. I used to do it years ago and always liked it, it is such a relaxing yet thorough work out. AS I have bad knees/back/joints lol, it's great for me as it's low immpact and you only go as far as your body allows you. Glad Winter is sleeping for you too. I think its so funny that she won't sleep for your DH..maybe your DH can try something of his own, my DH pats Sammy hair and blows softly on tyhe top of her head and she loves it.that's their thing, but lucky for us, Sammy is a champ at self settling and we very seldom have to help her go to sleep.
Pj: How are you and Summer??
AFM: Sam and I went out for a nice long walk and a bit of shopping. We ran into my SIL's SIL if that makes sense, which was weird as it is the 1st time I have ever ran into someone I actually know since moving here, it was nice. I also signed up for mums and bubs day at the mall too, they have someone speaking once a month about stuff and usually 30-40 mums gather up, its a free even once a month. I also found a couple BB's ers who live near me!! YAY so will be catching up with them next week. So things are definately on the look up! I also saw Santa's chair at the mall today and can't wait to get a piccie of Sam on his lap!! I've already bought Xmas cards in which I can insert a photo. I also bought her a cheapie outfit (6$) at the 2 $ store , a little dress that says Santa's little Baby! is so cute, couldn't resist, but the best one is the bib I found for her and it says Merry Christmoose!! LOL had to buy that also.
Ok , got to prepare dinner whilst little padawan is sleeping, hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi again!
Sterla, 3 times a night is rough hey but its so much easier when they just go strait down after a feed. Glad to hear you guys had a nice morning, I bet your DH loved the visit :)
I saw cushie's at my local baby market the other week, but they didnt tickle my fancy... and did I mention I got 3 itti's a while back? Winter soakes through them in less than two hours!!! DEVO! So Im sticking with the beehinds(magic and fitted).
Isnt it so cute now Oli can crawl around with his little friends now? I love watching the Bubs interact...
Moose- Im confused, are you still in Sydney?? Thats great you are getting out there! I hope your BB meet up goes well next week. Sterla seems to have a good time meeting other BBers... I only get weirdo's :(
Too cute about Sammy's little outfit!! How exciting will the Santa phtot's be?!! I cant wait! Did you get any bargains at shopping?
Wow, how did you find yoga when pregnant? That is the only downfall- how expensive. I pay $13 a lesson... which isnt too bad I guess, just means I cant go more than once a week. I luuuurve the chanting, so relaxing!!! Sterla, you have to give a class a go!
SO hot again here today, Im melting!!!
-
Peach: yes I still live in Sydney, moved from the beaches to the burbs :( but its not too bad. LOL at getting weirdo's from BB..really? yeah hope I get along well. No great bargain..just boring shopping like food and a sippy cup..
got to get dinner ready
-
peach: Woo for yoga! that sounds like fun. aww about the odd balls at the meet ups for you
sterla: LOL yep. must be something in the water, want me to bottle some up and send it to you ;) hows the hawt nappy bag shopping going? found one you like? ;) and being UTD with better aim is good...lets hope it lasts until the end when i want DH to get something he cant ignore me if i throw stuff at him :p
Moose: i hope you find a good play group soon! and enjoy the BB meetup, i've really got to get myself along to one  lol. as so the scans, we're having a 12 week one. but i've got to book myself in with a new GP after the one i normaly used screwed up the bloods for the comfermation of the preg. :wall: but the hospital sent me a list of GPs they work with...so now i just need to find a bulk billing one near me!
AFM: been semi busy. helping DH write a resume for a new job (he's losing the one he has now but they've set up a job for them to walk into which is good) plus getting everything ready for his birthday. which wasnt as big as i thought. then this weekend we're going out for tea with the inlaws (thankfuly not BIL & SIL) Ohh and found out last night my sister passed her uni corse (deploma in law/commerce) which means she'll have "nic. m***** blah blah blah LLB" at the end of her name, when asked what BBL stood for i said Lots and Lots of Bull sh*te hehe so she was happy (after 5 years of study i guess any one would be!) so we're holding off on telling every one due to that but on the upside i found out a good friend of mine is having a baby boy (they lost a little girl at 17 weeks) and her EDD is the day before my birthday! i'm soo excited for her. i'm seeing her in Dec (shes in sydney now) so i'm going to buy her some baby boy clothes! teehee...ahh i cant wait for the bump again!dh made the comment last night "ohh i can feel a bump" and i was like "erm honey, thats my flab" but he was like "nooo its moved becuase of the baby!" silly male. but i do agree im getting "thicker" around the waste. fingers crossed i can fit into my out fit for a wedding on two weeks (from tomorrow)!!
Hope every one is having a good day!
-
Good day Ladies!
Dansta- Good to hear your still feeling good, bout your DH and the tummy call. I look like Im in my second trimester... too much chocolate. I bet your friend will love the gift of baby clothes and Im sure you will have fun shopping for them!
Moose-How are you and Sammy today? What sippy cup is Sammy using now? I have gone looking for one recently but always leave without one as there is so many to choose from. With the oddball it wasnt a formal BB meet up, just a girl that posted for having a mg at her home... she seemed really lovely at first but after a few times I began to not trust her just from the way she spoke about her "friends"... which made me think if thats what she was saying about them, what would she say about me? iykwim?
Sterla- What are you and Oli up to today? How are you both?
PJ- How are you and Summer? :)
AFM- I AM SOOOO SCARED TODAY!!! In less than 3 hours I am getting Winter's name tattoo'd on my ribs.... Ive been wanting it done since she was born, and am finally doing it today. Oh god Im shaking just thinking about it!
Fat chops is having her second nap for the day, she is in such a good mood today(like usual) its so cute now when I leave the room instead of sitting there crying, she follows me around like a little puppy, so cute! It is a constant battle keeping things out of her mouth now though... Ive literally vacumed the house everyday this week as she is constantly finding fluff and other inedible objects and eating them... I cant leave her for a second!!!
Hope everyone is having a good day :)
-
Hi ladies,
Dansta: Lol - no, you can keep your 'special' water all to yourself! I do want more kids, but I'll wait a little longer I think... though having said that, I do miss being pregnant, and having a brand new, tiny baby... awww :). Congrats to your sister - sounds fancy :p. That's so great about your friend being pg again - how absolutely devastating to lose a baby then :(.
Lol at your DH - he better watch out when those pg hormones kick in!
Nappy bag search is still on...
Peach: Wow, wow, wow about the tattoo!!! That's a really cool idea for a tattoo - especially since 'Winter' isn't just a name, people might just assume you really like cooler weather ;). On the ribs - does it hurt more there? I feel like it would? Good luck!!!
Lol - I know what you mean about needing to vacuum all the time. Oliver is always eating carpet fluff - I try and stop him, but he's so darn quick and sneaky! He's also tried to eat grass (today at the park), uncooked spaghetti that was on our kitchen floor, paper...
Awww about Winter following you around :) so cute, isn't it?
Moose: Yup, Oliver is up 3 times a night (sometimes less - last night was twice) - but he's been doing it for months and months now - maybe since he was 4-5 months? I'm not sure why it happened - but I just go with it. He does genuinely seem to want the feeds at night - when I tried to get him back to sleep without it - well, it took 3 hours instead of 20 mins. TBH, I'm so used to waking up that often that I don't feel too tired most days.
That's great about meeting up with other BB girls :) I've met a few now, and everyone has been really lovely - no weirdos yet :).
AFM: Well, Oliver and I have had the nicest day! :D This morning we went to the pool. We have been going every Friday for the past few weeks with another mum from MG, but today she wasn't there - so it was just Oliver and I. We had fun hanging out in the warm baby pool, and then we went for a dip in the bigger pool. I dunked Oliver under a couple of times which he didn't seem to mind.
Then we came home and Oliver had a nice long sleep, so I was able to have a shower and get a bit of housework done.
When he woke up, we went into the city to the park and had a lovely picnic under a tree. DH came for a bit too on his lunch break. I was very brave and gave Oliver a breastfeed there (still haven't done many public feeds), and he was very good - didn't get distracted by everything for once. After we ate, DH took Oliver on this train-ride thing they have at the park - it's basically a little open car (that looks like a train), and it drives around the paths of the park. Oliver loved it - DH said he was so interested in everything (especially a duck that flew into the water as the drove past). After they got off Oliver was so hyped up, lol - making heaps of noise and trying to climb up on me all the time. After DH left, Oliver and I had a walk around the park and stopped by to watch the monkeys. He makes the funniest noise when he sees animals and gets excited - sort of a loud, gasping noise - I don't know if anyone but DH and I would know that that's his excited noise. While we were watching the monkeys I saw the woman who sold us our house - so she asked how it was going.
Now we are home again and Oliver is having another sleep, which is just as well - cause we still have some exciting things happening today. My Mormor (grandmother on my mum's side) is back (just landed actually) from overseas. She left December last year, which means that she hasn't met Oliver yet! Once Oliver wakes up we are heading over to my parents' so we can see her! It's very exciting - It's been so long, and now she can finally meet Oliver!
-
Good morning :)
Sterla- Your day yesterday sounded awesome! Man what the, you have MONKEYS at your park?!?!?!??! Haha crazy tasmanians ;) Thats great Oli is enjoying himself at the pool, I really want to start taking Winter.
Good on you for your BF in the city! :lactivist: It gets easier the more you do it. Do most of the mums in your MG BF? Its always easier when you can just get it out there and know no-one will stare or anything. How long do you reckon you will BF for? I love it so much, Im so glad Winter and I havnt had any problems...
I survived my tattoo! Yep, ribs are pretty much the most painful spot you can get tattoo'd.... and I took it suprisingly well. It looks soooo awesome, all purple and pink and swirly I love it!
Bah, Piglet has just woken up better go!
Hope you all have a great weekend! Winter is getting babysat today for the first time by my Mum while DP and I go out and play some pool for a couple of hours... wish me luck! :)
-
Peach: That's awesome about your tattoo! I'd love to see a pic of it if you don't mind :).
That's great about Winter getting babysat for the first time - I am yet to have anyone (even DH) babysit Oliver... and it seems to be starting to become a bit of an issue with my mum in particular :(. It doesn't help that Oliver feeds frequently throughout the day, and I'm the only one who can get him to sleep - it kind of limits how long I can be away from him. Not that I mind - I don't really want to be away from Oliver, but I hate feeling guilty about it. Oops, sorry - I'm rambling... I hope you and your DP have fun.
Lol, yup we have monkeys - they're Japanese Macaque. I'm not sure why we do, but they've always been there (except for a brief period years ago where they all contracted syphilis). They're so fun to watch!
I wish I breastfed more in public, but using nipple shields makes discretion a bit more difficult, plus Oliver gets so distracted by everything these days . I think there's only 5 including me (out of 17) mums in my MG breastfeeding now, but it is good to be around them breastfeeding - gives me a bit more confidence. I plan on breastfeeding for a while longer yet - definitely past 12 months. Really I'd like to let Oliver self-wean, but we'll see how we go.
Well, DH is back with lunch, so I better go eat :)
Hope everyone is having a good day
-
peach: woot on the tat! i wanna see (but im far too chicken to get one!) hope you have fun playing pool!
sterla:  the only person whoes looked after DJ other then me is DH. and thats only been in the last month becuase i feel that with another bub on the way DH kind of needs to learn how to deal with settling DJ ect. but in saying that the only long-ish period of time i've left DH and DJ together he was at his mum and dads  but let your mum be upset, she needs to understand something. shes the granma, you have the last word not her and you dont need to make her 'happy' if it makes you misrable in doing so KWIM? and question HOW THE HELL did the monkeys get syphilis...unless some one likes 'fooling around' with animals
AFM: BAH its hot! 31 today! sooo not looking forward to summer time thats for sure! going out for tea for DHs b'day tonight. should be fun! - but finding something to wear that is loose around the belly is harder then i thought. but i got there. Oh i went to a car boot sale to see MIL today. which was nice, other then her oldest friend (friends for 45yrs + ) didnt look to happy when i told her i a) gave birth in a bath B) chris was there and c) i flat out refused to lay on my back & went on to explain how much better it is to birth whilest on all fours/squatting ect. whoops, should learn to keep my birth activeisim up my sleeve huh? LOL
Better go and wash out some bottles for tonight!
hope every one is having a cool(er night then i am!) night
:wiggle:

morning laides!
Dinner was an epic fail last night. got there late. loud music + over tired DJ = BAD then to top it off some punk biatch of a man was really rude when me, DH MIL & FIL tried to walk though a gaming room to an out side part becase i had DJ in my arms the pr!ck was like "sorry no kids" and when we tired to explain we where walking out side he was "no kids" in a really rude tone! preg hormones took over and i got to choose, cry or get angry, so i got angry and FIL made a complaint for me. i've worked in hospitality (in a pub for 4 months) and i know why the guy *has* to say what he did but his tone was horrable and hes lucky i didnt get stuck into him about. he also failed to point out any signs regarding going inthere with DJ in my arms (other then a 'dont leave children in cars' sign i saw nothing else) i havent been that angry in a while it upset DH becuase it was for his birthday and all  we might be going out next weekend/week as DH has taken a week off before one of my relatives wedding. which i'm  ing i still fit into the out-fit i've got for it!
oo better go DJ is hungry (well thristy but i'm giving him milk as he isnt drinking alot of water yet)
hope every one is staying cool (its bloody 32 here today 0_0 )

Hi lovely ladies!!!Sorry I havent been here!!We been bit busy and also the computers been playing up,we are hoping to get a new one today.Had a terrible morning this morning, took summer for a walk and she just cried the whole time not sure why,she been grumpy last few days,we had some friends over and went out a bit last week and on the weekend maybe thats why but usually she likes being out, shes had some good day sleeps too so cant be that.Im not even sure if I told you that she finally got a tooth a while ago???Sorry if not!!Finally i say but i got so excited i thought i told you guys not sure, anyway now we hae another one yah,2 bottom ones shes got.Not much else been happening,im really worried about her crawling i know i should just let her go in her own pace but seriously shes 9 months now!!!I'll try do some personals for as long as summer lets me...
Dansta_sorry you had a bad night what a pain! How rude of that man!!Dont they know us mums have enough to deal with than too listen to his rubbish?
Peach-wow about tha tat,got any pics?Howd Winter go being babysat?

-
Pj- try not to worry about summers crawling. DJ isnt crawling. he rather enjoys lungeing at things. xox
-
Hi ladies
PJ: Good to see you still about :). Like Dansta said, try not to worry about Summer's crawling . I have heard of so many stories where bub doesn't crawl till 13-14 months - but will then start walking the very next day. I think 6-10 months is average, so Summer is still well within that - and later isn't unusual either.
The pool I go to has a bunch of different pools - the baby pool is really shallow (0.35m) and is really warm, like a big bath. Then there are other pools that are 0.5m and 0.9m. That's where I take Oliver, but there are other deeper pools (lap pools, etc) there too. Definitely take Summer - sounds like she loved it, and it's great to get them used to the water so they're not scared later on.
Dansta: Sorry that your dinner didn't go well :(. What a stupid man in the gaming room! I hope your next dinner is better.
I know what you mean about the heat. Where I am in Tassie is having a weird late spring heat wave. Out of nowhere we've gone from having 18 degree days to 30 degree days! Too hot!!! I am so glad we have an air conditioner!!! I hope it settles down, and that this isn't the start of summer, cause if it is - I hate to think what the middle of summer is going to be like :(.
Still feeling good? Any ms or cravings, etc yet?
AFM: Hot here today - 31 degrees. Oliver and I managed to keep fairly cool though - just laid low at home with the air con going.
Oliver is a force to be reckoned with. He can now pull himself to standing on everything and so spends all day doing it. He does it in his cot now too, so everytime we go to get him after a sleep he's there standing up waiting for us, lol. He's also getting really good at scooting along the furniture - he'll stand up at the coffee table then move along the sofa... usually to get something like my handbag or the remotes. He's also perfected getting back on his butt from standing. It's all so fast!!!
Hope everyone is well and having a good night :).
-
sterla: i saw the pics on FB of Oli and they are soo cute! such a clever boy he is! a friend of mine still has her bub in her room and when she ignores him/cant get to him quick enough he's taken to throwing stuff off a chest of drawers  i can see oli looking more and more like you though!
AFM: not been feeling too bad. as for cravings? i had one for french dressing last night. and carrot. I'll BBL - going shopping for a wedding gift today. FUN with one of the mums from MG :D hope every one stays cool!
-
Good Morning everyone!
Just a quick hello today as Im going to try and read instead of checking on BB every nap time. So... Hello!
Great to hear from you PJ, try not to worry about Summer seriously. There is a mum in my MG who was so worried about her Bubs development and now he is ahead of the pack 9 months on....
Sterla- I cant believe you have monkeys at your park!!! That is soooooooooooooo awesome!!!!
Dansta- Good to hear your feeling well. Cant wait to see bump pics! Any premonitions of the sex? I reckon your in for another boy..... Shall we all place bets? :)
Moose- How are you and Sammy? How was your wkend?
Ok OK IM GOING NOW!!! Have a good day everyone and Im going to try my hardest not to be back till tmrw :)
-
gah im going to have a little whinge!
last night was a horrable night for DJ and I. DJ is teething. last time we had a few hours of gizzles sorted out by padole/ cold flannal to chew on. this time? nothing worked. i tried padole, teething gel, that brouers teething stuff cold flannal he wouldnt take a bottle so at 3am i went arg! and got one strait out of the fridge (so cold as) and he took almost the wholething, i'd tried room temp. but i guess he wanted it cold :dunno: but i got really, really peeved at DH, he woke up around 1am got up closed two doors and went back to bed, he didnt bother seeing if i was dealing with it ok (last time i had a night like this was in hopsital with failure to thrive and i was alone for that too) and when i got to bed at 3:45am (i think it was) he had to be up at 5am so he turns his light on, knowing full well its BRIGHT as hell and woke me up, so i was fairly p i s s y with him. i got up shut DJ's door and he was like "sorry i didnt mean to wake you up" and i hissed back "well how about you lean to get dressed in the dark? or creep into the bathroom to get dressed, i had to do that when i started work early so i didnt wake you how come its hard for you todo that for ME when i've been up most of the night with OUR SON?" he said sorry and slinked off. i think he realised i was annoied he didnt come and see how i was. i better be off and see if DJ wil eat some water mellon

Hi ladies and babies!
Peach: Hey, how are you going? Get much reading done? I should do that - devote a day or two to reading... I have a book on my nightstand that I've been trying to read for months and months, and I have some parenting books out from the library that I'm yet to open. What are you reading?
How is Winter going? Keeping you busy?
Dansta:  Awww - it's hard some times isn't it? And in the middle of the night with a screaming baby makes it feel 10 times worse again, and then you have pg hormones to make it 10 times worse again!. Men...
PJ: What new computer did you get, cause it sounds exactly like my new one. When I type on my keyboard it will suddenly move the cursor so I start typing several lines up... grrrr! I'm not sure if the keyboard is just set out differently and I'm still not used to it, but it's very frustrating!
That's great that Summer is getting better :)
Moose: How are you? Flat out as usual ;).
How is everyone else doing - all those lurkers... I know you're out there!!! :D
AFM: We are great. Oliver is so full-on now... standing up on everything (even walls and doors), walking along the furniture, crawling like a pro and getting into everything. I swear, I spend half the day picking him up and moving him somewhere else before he gets into something he shouldn't! *Note to self: must do a better job of baby-proofing*
We lowered the base in his cot because he keeps standing up in there, and DH and I were getting paranoid about him falling out. Now he looks like he's in a little cage, lol.
Yesterday afternoon, Oliver decided that sleep is well and truly overrated - he was up from 10.30am until bedtime at 8pm! :o He actually did fall asleep on me about 5.30pm when I fed him, but if I'd let him sleep then it would have mucked the rest of the evening/night up. He was so out of it then though - so tired.
Mind you, last night ended up being a shocker. I don't think I got any sleep until 2am, cause every time I'd be close to sleep Oliver would wake up again for yet another cuddle! Then he was up and down after 2am too, and awake again at 6.30am. DH got up with him then though, so I got another hour or so then. He's very sleepy today.
Today is actually my and DH's anniversary (not our wedding one, our other one) - 10 years today! It's hard to believe - feels so surreal to think we've been together for an entire decade! We were just two shy, awkward 13 year olds , lol. I don't think we're going to celebrate - but our wedding anniversary is later this month, so we might just celebrate then.
Oh, and I have a stupid blocked ear. My right ear, I basically can't hear out of! It's so annoying, and I keep worrying that I'm not hearing things (mainly Oliver). Hopefully it will go away.
Anyway, I hope everyone is well.

AFM: im teething STILL! arg arg arg! so not happy. DJ is better now  which is a good thing. and i wonder about teething gels, i've used (on me) both bonjela AND the herion one and neather have helped (other than making me feel  with the taste!) Ohh and i got a speeding fine today. from 12 days ago (which is normal 12 days after the fact!) but DH and I cant remember who was driving the car that night, so we're hopeing to just ger a warning as i've not had any issues with speeding in the past and neather has DH...Ohh and we have a random rabbit running around our street DH and I tried catching it but failed. so hopefully if we see it again we'll be able to catch it and find its owners!
-
Ohh we got home tonight after seeing my mum and guess what? the rabbit i chased this arvo turns out of be a "hood rabbit" according to one of the other people in my street. the people next door to us where talking to people as they found it thismoring under my car! such a cute thing, if it gets too hot im going to catch it and keep it in our "cat run" with out our cats or maybe even buy a thing and put some water and food in it. it seemed hungry today! (and if DH will let me a little hidey hole for it so stray cats cant get it!)

Hey ladies,
Just a quick update from us, Sam has a cold, I have a cold and its 36 freaking degrees outside! NOT HAPPY JAN!! poor Sam is having issues falling asleep, I had to cuddle her to sleep this morning and again tonight, she's all stuffed up, I just wish I could give her some cold and flu medicine and fingers crossed she sleeps tonight, cause I am feeling like crapola myself and DH is at work tonight.
things around here have been insane as usual, but lots of family issues going on ( with DH's family) and its chewing up our spare time. Got a whole heap of stuff on ebay for Xmas for Sammy, it's gonna be hard not to give it to her before hand, she is currently so bored with her toys, so gave in a pop-up activity table we got this arvo.
Alright, as sad as it sounds, am gonna go chill out and most likely head to bed in the next hour, just in case I have an all nighter ahead of me.
Will catch up soon xx Hope everyone is well

Hi Ladies,
So its been a while! How is everyone?
Man its sooo bloody hot here today(and yesterday!) I cant even handle it! Good news though- we are getting insulation put in tmrw morning so that will make things much better.
Things here have been good... ok pretty darn good. Piglet has slept through the last 4 nights in a row!!! Hell yeah!!! Finally!!! DP and I are stoked, 9 months later we have a good sleeper. Im happy too I gave up on all the patting shusshing stuff as feeding her to sleep has just made our lives so much more peaceful.
Yesterday arvo after DP finished work we all went to the beach and took the Spawn into the water and let her crawl around in the sand, she loved it soooo much, we all had a blast it was great and honestly I almost had a tear in my eye at one point just thinking how lucky I am to have such a beautiful healthy and happy family, I love being the Mum :heartbeat:
Moose- Thats so crap that you guys are sick, I hope it passes soon. Its so bad having a cold in the heat. What stuff did you get off ebay?
PJ- That is SO AWESOME Summer is rolling heaps!!!! That sucks bout your shoulder, and no doubt carrying Summer around dosnt help!
Sterla- Hello!!! What book are you trying to read? Did you finish the twilight series? Can you tell me the end?? :) Im re-reading 'The art of happiness' by the Dali Lama, it is brilliant and I highly reccommend it to everyone! Is your ear better? Did you and your Dh do anything for your anniversary? Not long till your Bday! Did you find a bag? How is Oli sleeping this week? I know what you mean about following Oli around all day....
I kind of feel like groundhog these last couple of weeks, like all I do is vacume and constantly fish things out of Piglets mouth... including a cat nail last friday :o AH!
Dansta- Have you caught the rabbit? How is the teething? And the unborn? :)
Hope everyone is well :)
-
Right - Oliver is finally down asleep, so I can catch up here.
Dansta: That's no good about teething :(. Poor DJ. Is he going any better now? Any new teeth to report? I think Oliver might be teething, though it's only a guess. I'm pretty sure I spotted some bumpy white gums, and he's been a bit out of sorts today, but I really don't know - that's the only signs I have.
 That's so funny about the rabbit - sounds cute.
I can't believe you're 8 weeks pg already! How are you going?
PJ: That's so annoying about your computer. Mine still does the weird thing when I'm typing, but I'm sort of used to it now, so I don't notice as much anymore. (lol, while I was typing that I realised that I type without looking at the keyboard - go me!).
Yay - go Summer - sounds like she's doing well with rolling and being up on her hands and knees. See! She will get there!
Moose:  Hope you and Sammy are feeling better - colds suck!!! And the hot weather - you poor thing. I don't deal well with hot weather - I get so lethargic and grumpy... just as well I live in Tassie, lol.
Peach: Yay!!!! Woohoo!!! Go Winter - sleeping through 4 nights in a row, that is awesome for you! Now, can she just tell Oliver how to do it please? I'm all for feeding/rocking to sleep - that's all I do, and my and Oliver's lives are much more peaceful and much less stressful for it.
Awww, the beach sounds nice :D. We haven't taken Oliver yet, but I'm sure we will over the summer when DH finally takes some time off... Our weekends are so busy seeing family and friends that we never get a chance to do stuff as a family.
AFM: (and to answer all your questions Peach :p) The book I'm reading is called Asking For Trouble - it's just a chic lit book by a British author - nice, light and fluffy for my tired brain! The Art of Happiness sounds great :). Yup, I finished the Twilight series months ago - I read them very quickly! I'll probably re-read it one day. I want to see New Moon when it comes out too.
DH and I didn't end up doing anything for our anniversary - but we have our wedding anniversary later this month (day before my birthday), so we might just do something then - it will probably just be going out for lunch. I haven't found a nappy bag yet - but my mum knows that's what I want, and she knows where to get them from... not sure what's happening, but I'm sure I'll get one.
Oliver is sleeping okay - two wake ups the last few nights which is good for us.
We had a night away over the weekend for my mum's birthday. We drove to Devonport (an hour away from us) and went out for tea. Before we left Oliver was just starting to get tired, so I thought he'd sleep on the drive and be all refreshed for going out for tea... Wrong! He didn't sleep, was grumpy towards the end of the drive. Then once we got to the hotel I thought - well, I'll feed him and he'll fall asleep easily cause he's so tired, then he can have a sleep and be all refreshed for going out for tea... Wrong! He was too interested in the new surroundings to want to feed properly and for long enough to fall asleep. So, we went out for tea with a very, very tired little boy. He did surprisingly well though - was not his normal, happy self, but wasn't hugely cranky either... We got back to the hotel after tea and he had a feed and fell asleep very easily then. By the time he got to bed he'd been awake for 8.5 hours!!! :o Needless to say, he slept very well that night.
We went out for breakfast with everyone the next morning, and got home by midday. It was so exhausting though... I really find trips away so stressful. I shouldn't, cause I have such a good-tempered baby... but I honestly felt like I needed another weekend to recover... I'm still recovering now!
A quiet week for us this week. No MG, no playgroup, a friend I usually see has gastro...
Hope everyone is well... Now Oliver has woken up... that wasn't a long enough sleep *sigh*
-
Why no meet ups for you guys this week Sterla?
Far out, I can believe Oli can go so long without sleeping!! 8.5hrs??!!
Can you PM me the end of twilight? I only read up to new moon, far too angsty for me :)
I know what you mean about seeing everyone and not having time for family, its so important to have time to yourselves too. Im slowly learning to say no to people if I want time just with us three... its not easy though, esp when the granparents live an hour away and never see Bub.
Im slowly melting......so.....hot.....
-
hi ladies!!I had an awesome day, went to a friend of mine she doesnt live far but we dont see eachother much she has a little girl same age as summer,we took them for a walk to the park and they were laughing at all the ducks they loved it but boy was it hot!!

Hey Girls,
How are we all?
PJ- Good to hear you had fun with your friend, wasnt it a scorcher yesterday?!?!!? Man it was unbearable! Hope your hair appt goes well today. I usually get my hair done in the city, I used to pay full price there but now I get raining cuts, they are so cheap and they look as good as a ful price cut! What colour are you going?
Seriously, 5 months late for rolling, better late than never!
Well I just spent all morning in the dr's. Last night Piglet's temp was 39dg and this morning she was still boiling so we rushed her down there... she has a virus and Dr said to keep an eye on her for a rash or a cough. Our usual dr wasnt there so we saw another one who had been highly reccommended... well I wasnt a big fan. I got the biggest lecture for not vaccinating. After we missed her 6 month ones DP and I decided we dont want to jab her... anyway he had a big go at me. Douche.
Sigh! Well good news, Winter slept through again! Except for that STUPID dog behind us woke her up at half 9 I was so ****ed. But yes Im getting used to nice sleeps :)
Hope your all having a great day, so nice and cool here, Loving life!
Wowee, almost 600 posts!! Watch out!
-
What is everyone doing today?? Steeeerlaaaaaa where are youuuuu? :)
-
Hi Peach, I'm here I'm here :p
PJ: How are you? How did your hair appointment go? Hope it went well.
Peach: Oh no, poor Winter :(. I hope she's feeling better now. Stupid doctor - it's not their job to lecture us! That's great that Winter is still sleeping through though! Hopefully she's finally clicked that night time is for sleeping - I wish Oliver would!
 Yay - 600+ posts!!!
AFM: We had a crappy night here last night - Oliver woke up heaps, and was so difficult to get back down. Then he woke up at 5am and wouldn't go back down - so I took him into bed with me and he finally drifted off again. Anyway, I felt so tired and lethargic all day. I visited a mum from BB, which was good for getting out of the house. Her kids are so cute :).
Not much else happening - I'm hoping I feel a bit more lively tomorrow.
Hope everyone is well, goodnight :).
-
Morning Everyone,
Was your night last night better than the one before Sterla? Thats awesome you have another BB Mum to visit nearby you, Its good to get out on the flat days rather than staying in I think.
We had the worst night in months last night. Tried getting Winter down three times, eventually she settled only to wake up screaming as I was drifting off around 9, DP couldnt settle her so she came into our bed and slept there.. actually not even boob would settle her, she ended up sleeping the night on my chest being patted and rocked, so I was in and out of sleep all night. Today she is still not herself, we've given her as much nurofen as she can have argh its awful. Going back to drs tonight. :(
-
Peach: Awww, poor Winter and poor you :(. That's no good. I hope she's okay . Yeah, it's so nice having a fellow BBer around - it's Arimeh actually (you may know of her, she's right into MCNs).
AFM: Another crappy night last night - down at 7.30pm, up at 8pm, up at 10.30pm, up at 2.30am... then after that I lose count... he just wouldn't let me put him down. At 6.45am I woke DH, and then I had a small sleep till 7.30am. He isn't having enough sleep during the day either. He's a little clingy at the moment, and off his food a bit... my guess is that he's teething... mainly because he's had these huge dribble patches next to his head while he sleeps. He doesn't dribble that much through the day though... So confusing.
We had Rock & Rhyme this morning which was nice. A mum I hadn't seen in a couple of weeks was there, and her baby boy just started crawling yesterday! Very exciting. Oliver and her bub (Oscar) were crawling around everywhere :). Then we had lunch with my mum and came home in a very, very hot car - Oliver wasn't happy :(. He's in bed now - hopefully in for a big sleep .
How is everyone else doing? Surviving the heat? We're hot here today, well, hot for Tassie - 29 degrees!
-
That sucks you had a hard night, Winter is off her food too Its stressfull! You must be like a walking zombie Sterla! I wonder if it is teeth for Oli?? Is he rosy? I know of Arimeh, I think anyone on here who has ever asked a question about cloth knows of her :) Is it weird meeting someone IRL that you have spoken to heaps on here? As in like already having an impression of them?
Winter has had one 15min nap today. Argh. She is still clammy and hot.
29 degrees heheh I guess when your used to freezing climate that would be hot... :D
-
Well that sleep of Oliver's didn't last long...
Peach: I'm not a walking zombie now - but for the first 1-2 hours after I get up for the day I am. I'm used to living off not much sleep - it's nights like last night where he won't let me put him down that are hardest.
No, Oliver isn't rosy cheeked or anything like that, which makes it harder to tell if it's teething or not.
It is weird meeting people of BB IRL. I think I had a different idea of Arimeh, but she's still really nice and funny. A lot quieter IRL than she is on here, but now that we've seen each other a bit we're a bit chattier - plus her kids are really cute and excellent icebreakers... like her DS was asking me yesterday after I'd been to the toilet... "You went to the toilet" "yes" "Did you do a poo" "No" "Did you do a wee?" "Yes" "Oh..."
 That sucks about Winter - hope she feels better soon.
Anyway, I better go give Oliver his lunch - baked beans. I think I might take his high chair outside in the shade to save some mess.
