Helloooooooooo!
My goodness its been a while hey? How is everyone going? Things here have been quite good except its so hot already today and I think this week is going to be a scorcher.
Weekend just gone we had DPs work party on the sat, and we left Chunks with m....
Damn! She has just woken up! Bugger, I shall return during the arvo nap :)
-
Ok Im back! Although my lap top is crapping itself so it will be a miracle if I can post this in one piece. Anyway, where was I?
DP's work party ended up being heaps of fun, my folks stayed oer the fri night and drove us there on sat so they could watch Fat chops at our house. After expressing for two weeks, I ended up with three nice big bottles for her.... which she refused to drink! I could not believe it! Mum said she wouldnt take them from a sippy cup either. So she just had food and water for the day. I think DP might have given her one that night but I cant remember... yes I was highly intoxicated. It was great to go out with DP, it was our 5 year anniversary that day too, and the first time we have partied together since april last year so we made the most of it.
Winter is happy and well, although her temper tantrums are becoming a bit more dramatic. She throws her head back and everything! Lol, I really dont know how I should be dealing with it...?? She is now taking steps whilst holding onto things and is copying sounds after I make them, like snake hissing and horse bbbrrraaah etc. Its so awesome too, yesterday she sat while I read her 3 books in a row and didnt try to grab them or anything, just shuffled closer and sat with her hands on her knees, sooo cute!!!
Sterla- Im glad to hear you had a good birthday, has your nappy bag been replaced yet? That is so nice of you to help with Arimeh! Is her baby adorable??? Making you clucky yet? Oh hang on I just read what you said to Dansta, so there you go! As for the books and dvd's we have had to move the bookshelf into DP's study to keep Piglet away from them, does Oliver like eating the books?
Dansta- Wow I cant believe your into 2nd trimester already! Have you had your scan? How exciting Daz is crawling! Yay :)
Pj- Its sooo horrible when they fall off something hey. Winter fell off our bed a few months back and I was sooooo terrified and shaking all over, dont be so hard on yourself though it happens to the best of us :) Does Summer fall asleep in her pram at all? Big hugs to you, it sounds like you have been having a hard time atm Ill PM you too with my location!
Moose- Hahaha too funny about the no-pants xmas tree light up :) Ah yes temper tantrums, it feels like they just started out of nowhere! How do you react to Sammy? I need advice! I dont know whether I should just ignore Winter or whether she needs attention?? And I am struggling with the heat again. Last week wasnt so bad but its crap again now.
That is so great you have met someone nice from BB, I have seen Sunshine around actually. Hope yor meet up goes well today :)
The day just keeps getting hotter girls! baaaaah.

My goodness we're a slack bunch, aren't we!?!?! lol
How is everyone?
Dansta: How are you? Have you had your scan? I noticed your ticker jumped a little (yes, I am stalking your pg ticker!). I suppose this means word is out about Bundy then? I'm so excited for you (can you tell?). How nice that DJ will have a little brother or sister soon.
PJ: OMG - the way Summer moves sounds hilarious!!! It doesn't matter how they move though - it's them wanting to explore the world around them that is important... and it sounds like she is :).
Peach: Sounds like you had a good night at your DP's work dinner :). I haven't had much more than a small glass of wine since... well, since I fell pg with Oliver! I'd probably be a really cheap drunk now cause it's been so long! Happy Anniversary to you and your DP :).
Oh dear about the tanties! Oliver hasn't... yet, and I'm hoping it will stay that way :crossfingers:.
Moose: How are you and Sammy?
AFM: DS and I went to our first 1st birthday party today. One of the bubs from my MG. So, now two bubs from my MG are one. There is another little girl turning one in January... and then Oliver is next! It's just too fast *sniff* Where did our little babies go?
I was sick very briefly on Friday night... No idea where it came from, but I started feeling a bit yuck in the tummy, and then about an hour later vomited up the contents of my stomach. Had some water, fed Oliver (he'd woken up), then as soon as he went back down, vomited up the water I'd just drank. I felt really exhausted and drained the next day, but no tummy problems, and now today I'm completely fine. Luckily DH and Oliver haven't got it, though I was nice enough to pass it on to my lil sister ;).
What else have I been up to??? Well, had the usual: playgroup and Rock & Rhyme, but apart from that haven't been very busy.
Oliver is good. Sleeping like crap as usual, but other than that is good. I just can't get over how much he is doing and learning every day! I mean, there's just too much to even write about. The latest (and funniest) is his high pitched, excited sounding 'dadadas' he does, where he shuts his eyes and screws up his face from the effort of it, lol!
Oh, and he's getting close to standing on his own. He had for 5 seconds or so once or twice now. I think it's more of a confidence thing with him though.
Anyway, I better go. My main motivation for coming on here was to get us all started talking again - it's much too quiet in here!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend with their little ones.
-
hi ladies!!Boy its quiet in here,i kept checking in and i was still the last post!!!Not much to report from me,DH has had a cold all week, well i woke up yesterday with it so its been a resting and watching dvds weekend.
Sterla-thanks for being positive bout summer,i agree at least shes mobile just in a weird way haha!Thats no good about your tummy bug,i was about to sk if you needed to do a POAS heehee but then read that you gave it to your lil sister, there are soooo many bugs around at the moment, glad it didnt last too long for you!there really draining! You'll never believe it summers been doing what Olivers doing rel high pitched dadadadad and she sometimes does weird faces and goes red its like shes straining!funny arent they?and yes i cant believe where the times gone and our little bubs will be one soon, feels like only a few weeks ago in some ways, oooooh.
well we are watching boring old david attenborough or whatever his name is,he has good shows but lost count of how many times ive seen this one.right well i might shower and get into my pjs!!
-
ello laides!
Sterla: shareing in careing right? and whats more caring then sisterly love eh? even if it is a tummy bug! gaww at Oli, that is sooo cute about the high pitched dadadada's! his hair is looking like its got a tinge of aurben (or-ban lol) but he's a cutie! and how scary is the whole "first birthday" thing? :o they are growing up too fast arent they! at you stalking the pg. ticker! having a pg though me ay :p you never know it could happen for you - i was told by a Middy when UTD with DJ that for her "once my son stoped b/fing over night that month i got a BFP" so...you may find that you might end up with a smaller age gap ;)
PJ: aww thats cute about summers movements! it sounds so cute! who cares how they move as long as they do. DJ still would rather roll around then commando crawl! she'll get there in her own way and in her own time - babies are humans too and sadly no two are the same!
AFM: we had our first scan on wednesday. i was a week off with dates (but a good guessumption if you ask me!) and all is well. this time seeing a bub in there was very surreal for me. i knew bundy was there - but becuase the ms was NOTHING like DJ's it didnt feel real if that makes seance? we're not telling people IRL the EDD this time (which is now June 20th ;) ) after going over with DJ and dealing with (my mother and a good friend mainly :wall: ) harping on about "have you had the baby yet" which i CBF'd with lol. other then that not much is happening. well...other then DJ becomming obsessed with standing. as in this arvo when we had friends over i was sitting on the grass with him and i had a push along toy (for standing behind and walking) on the grass - so it couldnt move and i popped DJ's hands onto the steering wheel (its a car type one) and let go, he stood there holding on by himself :o our friend was supprised as DJ cant even sit un-assisted yet!! yet stand him up and put him on something (like the coffee table) and he'll stand there for about 10-20seconds on his own, once he works out how to move his feet, i think we'll be in truble lol.
Any whoo, i'll be back tomorrow my eyes are finealy tired (along with my head LOL)
gnight ladies!!
-
morning!!!
Dansta-wow how cool about dj standing, summer seems to enjoy it but she keeps going on her tippy toes so cant balance.how cool about the scan.will you try find out the sex eventually or not bothered?
i still feel yukky,im wandering if summer has it as she was up crying in the night and then woke for the day before 5am,she wouldnt go back to sleep, funny hey i just wanna sleep when im sick, not totally sure she hasit no signs as yet but i just wandered. Can i ask 2 questions to you ladies, the first one is how do you go with sippy cups?ive heard that they should be using them alot now but summers not real keen and so i give in and give her any juice or water in a bottle as then at least i know shes drinking it,i probably should just perservere i know but i just wandered, also how many meals per day and what do your little ones eat,ive been making excuses for summer thinking its teeth or something but for good few weeks now shes been off food, she barely touches brekky most days and doesnt even want her yogurt which is her favourite, she throws any bikkies etc away the biggest meal she has which i guess is the best because of all the vegies in it is the dinners i make but even then its not much. But because of that shes gone back to wanting heaps of bottles!!Maybe i shouldnt offer them i dunno.but i think least shes getting something then.well better go sort her out ive put her bacxk to bed because shes been miserable since shes been awake and awake so ealry i thought id try but shes not going, think its going to be a looooong day!!
-
Hello you lazy buddies
I have a legitimate excuse for not being on in ages, I dropped and killed our lap top! One of DPs workmates fixed it this arvo though so Im Baaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!
PJ- I started giving Piglet a sippy cup as soon as she was on solids, she wasnt into it for ages but I just kept offering it to her with every meal. Now it is hot I offer it to her with each meal and then probably every hour... quite often actually as it is so hot so even though she still has like 6 boob feeds a day I figure I need heaps of fluids so she would too. She used to just pour it over herself and make a mess but they get better with it, just maybe use a plastic backed bib if you dont want Summer soaking herself. What are you giving her for brekkie? Lately when Winter wont eat off a spoon I give her something she can feed herself like maybe a banana and then I find she is more interested and I can feed her between her feeding herself. As for breast feeding, it really isnt an effort for us and I feel so lucky seriously. But she is such a boobie junkie, its so crazy! I love it too though, she is so cuddly and lovely :)
Ok Im tired sorry everyone else, much love to you all I will be back tommorrow. Ninight*

Ho Ho HO Ladies,
Dudettes, I cannot believe it is 10 days til Xmas, and we are even busier than usual, hence why I have not been on here all that often, all the days are just flying by and soon it will be our little ones 1st Xmas..I am SO EXCITED!!! Can't wait to see Sam's face when she sees all the presents under the tree on Xmas morning.. (let's face it, we are not going to put pressies under there now as they would be chewed, drooled and most likely have corners eaten by Xmas morning! LOL)
Peach: About the tantrums...look, it all depends on what the tantrum is about but say if I take something away and she is unhappy about mummy's decision, she just starts crying at the top of her lungs, I just explain why I am taking the object away ( one day she will understand) and then I just stay calm, give her another toy ( as a distraction) and walk away from her and tell her to come back to me when she is done!lol Basically, the last thing I want is for her to be recognised to get attention from acting like this. By their age now they are starting to understand the "power" of crying over us mummies! I want to make sure I am sending her the right message and that mummy is the boss and she won't always get her way. Obviously, sometimes I give in, but all and all, she has to understand that sometimes, there's gonna be things that she won't be happy about that needs to happen ( such as her recent aversion to washing her hands after eating?!?!) I am sure you'll get the hang of it..as Dansta said, no 2 bubs are the same and what works for Sam may not work for Winter. Just go with your gut feeling.
Pj: Yay about Summer moving, that's great and it's true hun, she'll do things in her own time. One of the bubs at MG is not crawling yet either and rolling little, so Summer is not the only one. Hope you are feeling better and managed to get some sleep. I've been going to bed later than usual these last couple weeks and I have so little patience with Sam when I am tired, I can't imagine what it'd be like to have insomnia and looking after a bub day in and out. Hope the latest trick. Sippy cups, I went through 3 to find one that Sammy liked and that's what it could be with Summer, the one you are giving her she isn't a big fan. Like Peach, I started sippy cups the minute she went on solids and Sam loves water so it's never been an issue. We use a tupperware one at home and to go out, we use a tommy tippee, but I went through 3 before finding a spill free one that Sam could drink out of easily. Just hang in there with Summer and with her being off foods, is she losing weight?? If she is, then maybe take her to see the nurses. Sammy is opposite and I think is getting ready to drop the day time bottles ( she is still on 4 as she only drinks 180-210 each feed) I might try giving it to her in the sippy cups and see how she goes. Maybe try introducing new foods to her, she could be bored with her current diet. Sammy is mad for fresh fruit and really enjoy feeding herself. She decided that she didn't like vegemite sandwich yesterday and it was the 1st trime she actually refused to eat something. Of course, we were at the mall, so it made for a fun lunchtime, thank goodness I had lots of fruit on me. We tried a piece of raisin toast this morning and SHE LOVED IT!!
We also have soldiers of toast dipped in egg yolk (one of her fave too)
Sterla: Aww about the tummy bug, how weird..the piccies of Oli are so cute on FB, he is going to charm the pants off everyone that one!! and I totally agree, I cannot believe our bubs are going to be 1 very soon and I find the same about their learning, everyday they are gettting smarter and better at everything. Good on Oli for standing for 5 seconds!!! WOW, Sammy only lasts a couple and is usually when she is holding something in both hands and doesn't realise she is not haning on to anything. Is Oli doing the actions in the nursery rhymes yet? Sammy started twinkling her fingers last week, we didn't show her she just started doing it one day when we sang the song, she also does it for Open Shut them!! SO CUTE!
Dansta: Aww, 13 weeks, one trimester down! How special for you to see Bundy in your tummy...(I'm secretely jealous I think!!;-) When are you planning on telling everyone IRL, Xmas?? I feel for you that's 2 Xmas in a row that you won't be able to eat all you want and have a few drinks. I am DYING for home made egg nogg this year with plenty of rum in it too! Well done on DJ's crawling, they all have their own way of moving about eh? Sammy also LOVESSSSSSS circulars & flyers and tears them to pieces! LOL Dj is also looking so cute in his latest photos on FB, he is just so fair...and he looks like you..a LOT! Are you talking to him about his/her little sibling on the way? Are you showing yet??
As for us, well we are just so busy. Sammy 9 &10th teeth are trying to pierce through and poor little muffin is really feeeling them and been a bit grumpy and VERY trying on mum's patience. I feel bad cause I have been raising my voice at her a little more than usual but she is just being a little fusspot and it's driving me mad..Anyone else feel like that sometimes? I think DH and I been so busy that I am not being as patient cause I am tired and she cops it and I feel terrible about it. Sammy is also a lot more sensitive to everything now, if me or DH raise a voice a little and say NO when she does something she is not supposed to do, she just starts balling her eyes out..is cool, I am hoping it's only a phase. Most days she is still a pretty good kid and I can't complain too much. I met up with my MG from the beaches last week and all the bubs had grown SO MUCH!! it was crazy, it was really good and Sammy enjoyed playing with her buddies her own age so much. I will be joining some kind of playgroup in Jan/Feb cause I think she really misses the interaction. Rock and Rhyme is good but is not the same as playing with others for an hour or so. All the mums also went out that night for dinner, I had 3 margaritas and it was NICE!!! It was good to see everyone and actually have time to chat without bubs interrupting conversation every 5 seconds. We are also having a BBQ in Jan for all the bub's bday and all the hubbys are invited too, should be great. I also gave my resignation at work last week, quite sad but at the same time,it feels weird that I am actually unemployed! haha!
This week is just mad, when I say we are busy I am not lying..CHeck this out
tomorrow: finish shopping/clean house/ house inspection in the afternoon
Thurs: Nana and poppy arrive from northern NSW
Fri: Mummy's Xmas Party and farewell party
Sat: DH's Xmas work sausage sizzle & pool during the day and we are having our besties over for dinner that night as our Xmas as they are going away
Sun: Poppy & Aunty's birthday lunch
Mon: Grand Pa arrives from Qld with his new lady friend to stay for a week and half
Then I also have to bake pies and gingerbread men as well as take care of DH, Sam, clean the house..phew...All our week-ends are also booked til the end of Jan and almost into mid Feb..it's insane ladies, I'm losing it!!!! AAAAARRRRRRRRgHHHHHHHHHH
Someone just woke up so better get going. I am obviously not gonna have much time to update but will be back to update in a week's time :)

Man look athe size of this post.. Sorry ladies for all the ramblin'
-
PJ: nah, the sex will be a supprise, i had a 31hr labour with DJ, and the supprise at the end was worth it LOL. as for sippy cups i use the Nuby one. its got a soft spout and DH kinda munches on it. if she isnt taking water what i do i give DJ a few mouthfulls of food then pop the sippy cup in his mouth and he take a few sips - swollows then more food. that way he kinda finishes his mouth and has a drink.
Peach:YaY for mudering the lap top and :leap: for friends of DH's who can fix them!
moose: LOL! you're very good at up dateing - even if they're huge but 'tis why we loves ya!
aww at sammy and the tandys. DJ hasnt started them yet...i say that because well hes used to having things taken away (IE his dummy LOL from another bub at MG  ) hopefully sammy chillaxs for you and the tantys get fether and feather apart! you sound like you'll be running around like achicken with no head!!
AFM: DJ attempted to 'crawl' on the floor boards today. funniest thing EVER he had "no traction" so he was doing "burn outs" lol and getting cranky and not being able to move! but he's getting there. we left him for the first time with my mum and dad on saterday. i almost wanted to thump my mother - she was giving DJ cordial "a pinch of it went into the water" and then holding his hands down to stop him pushing the sippy cup away :wall: needless to say when i see them again on thursday i'll be telling my mother some things a) no cordial maybe watered down fruit juice (eg OJ or apple) and b) no restraining DJ's hands whilest trying to get him to drink from a sippy cup! i'd left a bottle of milk with them so that they could give him that as i knew he'd take it. but they didnt bother to call and ask about rather assumed. Ohh and dad also told me that my aunt spoke to a pead she worked with because DJ was yellow - when on and on about all thease HUGE issues that it could be...(Ie liver) then turned around to say it could be due to dehydration, which i had suspected because for almost 2 weeks we got next to no water/milk into him - dont know why hes loving his milk now! but once again assumed and made something that (to me) wasnt huge a massive deal - i told my father i'd wait until new year before making a move because i know my son, and whats been happening with him - no one (from my family) bothered to ask about his bottles or how much he was taking :wall: but thursday some ground rules will be laid down and if they cant respect them well, i'll just ask my MIL to watch DJ or do it on my own! BBL gotta head off to the IL's
-
oh great, the IL's now arrive tomorrow lunchtime, so I guess my cleaning the house starts tonight..oh the life of the DG!!domestic goddess!!
Dansta: tI must admit, you do sound like you have a meddling family!! lol but seriously that is just not on for your mum to give cordial to DJ...I totally agree with you laying some rules down too. It'd be different to give cordial if DJ was a bit older, what I mean is that there is nothing wrong with spoiling the grand kids a little but not at their age. I am lucky, When MIL looked after Sammy, she asked me for a sheet with her routine and asked heaps of questions and I let her know a few things about Sam's eating habit ( especially that she has intolerances). I hope DJ is ok with him being dehydrated and all, must have been that heat, poor poppet. Well as long as he is back on the bottle, everything should work itself out. Too funny about DJ doing the burn outs! LOL
OK, well it's cleaning time BOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
Hi ladies!!!Just thought id pop in im sure everyones busy!!how is everyone?we went to Aussie zoo friday, took summer with her cousins she loved it never seen her have so much fun!!Then yesterday we had my family or lunch but poor summer had a bit of an accident, not sure really what hapened,i couldnt get it out of any of the kids well you know a proper storyone minute it was she hit her head next it was something else, shes ok but im taking her to the docs later to be sure as shes still not herself,it seems to be her leg she wont put pressure on it,she screamed and screamed after so something happened,i ws only in the kitchen maing tea so wasnt even far away and there were adults around so not sure what happeend but id rather put my mind at ease!anyways sorry dont have time for any personals, thanks for everyones advise about food and the sippy cups,im trying them and things have been better yah better go before little miss wakes up!!
-
Hi everyone! Once again we've all been very quiet around here... myself included. It's just so busy this time of year.
Dansta: That's great about your scan - I know what you mean about it being surreal. When DH and I had the 12 week scan with Oliver, I remember us getting out of the hospital afterwards both with big goofy grins on our faces, and a little bit of shock thrown in too. It all started to feel a lot more real after that.
I know I keep saying it, but I can't believe you're 14 weeks already. Well and truly into the 2nd trimester! You'll probably start feeling movements soon too, hey? How exciting is that!
Good call on not sharing your due date - I'm thinking of doing that with the next one.
 That sounds so funny about DJ trying to crawl and doing burn outs, lol!
Oh my goodness, your mother sounds like a hard one to deal with!!! :o
PJ: How are you and Summer feeling now? I hope you're all better .
As for sippy cups - I've offered them to Oliver from around the time he started solids, though I'll admit I wasn't very consistent with offering it. It's really only in the past month that he's properly caught on with how to use it, and now he gets really excited whenever he sees his water!
Peach: Glad you got your computer back and working. Gawd - I'd be lost without our computer - I'm on it heaps . How are you and Winter? She up to any new tricks?
Moose: We love your long posts! :)
Yup, Oliver has started doing actions to some nursery rhymes - mainly he claps to "If you're happy and you know it", and there's another one where he lifts his arms up as part of the song. I'll have to try and teach him those others - that sounds so cute with Sammy!
I know what you mean about the craziness of Christmas. It gets so busy! I've been flat out baking shortbread for everyone!
How is Sammy going with her teeth? I can't believe how many teeth she has! Oliver still only has two! I'd so love for him to get some more - I want to see a toothy smile!
That's great about meeting up with your MG. My MG still meets up every fortnight, and I love it. I really need that interaction with other mums. We have a Christmas meet up tomorrow, with a secret santa for mums and bubs that I organised - can't wait!
AFM: Right, where to start? Well, Oliver and I had a nice week, apart from some really awful nights and me running on very little sleep.
Monday we visited a mum from my MG. That was nice - we get along really well, and have already paired Oliver and her daughter up as boyfriend and girlfriend, lol. She had some family portraits done recently, and they came out really well - so we're considering using the same photographer and getting some done ourselves.
Wednesday morning we had our final playgroup of the year. There was a Christmas party which I baked shortbread for, and then didn't get one myself! In the afternoon we were supposed to go to the pool with another mum from my MG, but didn't - instead she came to my house for a visit. Her baby boy is 13 days younger than Oliver. It is just so adorable watching them play together - cause it really is starting to look like they're playing together. They look like they're talking sometimes, and Oliver was being very nice and sharing his toys. That mum has about as many problems with sleep as me, so we took comfort in sharing sleep-deprivation stories with one another.
Thursday was the last Rock & Rhyme of the year until February! That's sad. Afterward I met my mum and grandmother for lunch. Oliver ate an entire mini quiche, which he'd never tried before.
Friday morning we made it to the pool with the mum I saw on Wednesday. Oliver and her bub were having fun crawling around in the shallow water :).
Saturday DH, Oliver and I braved the shops to finally do our Christmas shopping. Remind me to never leave it this last minute again!!! I also spent a fair bit of Saturday cooking - I made a roast for tea, and also made a lamington cheesecake slice for Sunday, as well as more shortbread mixture.
Sunday I had a sleep in after a particularly bad night with Oliver (didn't get any sleep after 2am). Then in the afternoon I baked the rest of the shortbread (as it was part of presents for friends we were seeing that night).
We had a barbecue with friends last night, then came back to my place afterwards to exchange gifts and have dessert (the lamington cheesecake slice). My family came over too, and we watched A Very Specky Christmas.
This week we're busy... today I'm babysitting Arimeh's two older kids while she takes her newborn to see a LC. Tomorrow is our last MG for the year. Wednesday morning I'm seeing a friend... then Thursday we have a champagne breakfast in at DH's work... before driving 3 hours in the afternoon to have Christmas with our families... Phew - I'm exhausted just thinking about it!
As I've mentioned, Oliver has been sleeping really badly. I mean, he's always woken up a lot, but just recently he's been not letting me put him back down in his cot. He sleeps fine on me while I hold him, but it means I don't really get any sleep. Not sure what's going on - could be separation anxiety, or teething, or something developmental? Either way, it is very, very tiring! He is sleeping really well through the day though, which helps - he's been having 2 x 1.5+ hour sleeps recently!
I'm looking into a few things to try and help. I've started giving Oliver a baby massage before bed, which I think is helping him sleep better for the first half of the night (had a few 5 hour sleeps before waking up), which is great. Only trouble is, it's when I'm going to bed that he starts sleeping badly, so I still don't get any sleep.
We're also trying some soothing background music/noise in his room. We have it organised, but tonight will be the first time we try it. I'm also in the process of reading No Cry Sleep Solutions, to see if that has any new ideas for us. (I have that book as pdf if anyone wants me to email it to them).
What else is new? Oliver has started saying mama! Finally! It's so nice to hear him say it! He's also been given a walker, and he walks behind it so well! It's very cute. Oh, and he's become really cuddly recently. He gives me huge cuddles, especially after he hasn't seen me for a bit while hanging out with DH, or after he's had a nap. He also gives this teddy bear he has big hugs - so adorable.
Am so looking forward to Oliver's first Christmas :D
Anyway, that's enough of my long ramblings. I hope you're all well and looking forward to this first special Christmas with our little ones!

Hi Girls,
Our internet has been down the past week again and its been kind of crazy here with a projectile-vomiting virus and mastitis(yes Im serious). Lots to say but no time as usual but wanted to wish you all a FANTASTIC christmas. I hope you all have a great time with your families and I will catch up with you all properley soon!
Hugs :)

PJ: That sounds awesome about the zoo! We've been meaning to take Oliver to a zoo around here, but haven't quite got around to it yet.
Peach:  Oh you poor thing - ouch about mastitis! Has Winter been dropping feeds, is that what caused it maybe?
Thanks for the Christmas wishes - I hope you have a fantastic first Christmas as a mummy!
AFM: Had MG yesterday, and one of the mums announced she is pg - so now two mums from MG are pg again! Mind you, two out of 17 isn't that many.
We exchanged our secret santa gifts. Oliver got some balls with bells inside, which he loves but are very, very noisy! I got some funky felt coasters that you stick on the fridge when you're not using. Everyone was pretty happy with their gifts I think.
There were a lot of grumpy babies at MG yesterday though :( Oliver included. Not sure why.
Anyway, I hope everyone is well - it'll probably be a bit quiet in here until after Christmas or New Years I suppose... so I hope everyone has a safe and happy Christmas. Enjoy every moment with your LO for their first Christmas!
:grouphug:

Ok Im back :)
Winter and I both went down for a nap at 4 this afternoon and I woke up after an hour and a half but Piglet is still sleeping! So I think she has gone to bed for the night now without dinner and everything! Woops! No doubt we will be up for the day at like 3am tommorrow(hopefully not though!)
So as I mentioned things here have been a bit crazy and its been so long since I posted properley I dont really know where to start but anyway.... About two weeks ago Winter was really off and not herself and she was waking up constantly in the night and I thought it could possibly be teeth, then by that saturday she had a horrible rash that was all blotchy(kind of like I get when I drink too much vodka;)) so we freaked and took her to the dr but our usual gp wasnt there so had to see some random dude who diagnosed Winter with TONSILITIS!! And then said it was only a heat rash, prescribed antibiotics and sent us home. Then we were at home for like an hour and the "heat rash" spead all down her body so we thought hell no, took her back and saw a different dr who said "Oh no, she dosnt have tonsilitis, its a virus so stop giving her antibiotics she will be fine and its not contagious anymore" So then we went up to see our family(who had just gotton over another virus) who we then caught ANOTHER virus from. Monday night Piglet projectile vomited everywhere and we freaked, it happened again tue morning so we went back to a DIFFERENT dr(!!!) who said "oh no its fine when they have dairy after a virus it can react with their tummy's". Well the next day I woke up needing to spew and in excrutiating pain in my boob, so back to the dr  by the time we got there I was a crying mess it was so horrible and was diagnosed with mastitis( Sterla not sure why as Winter is still feeding heaps), DP had to take two days off to look after Winter as I was like death. By then it is friday and DP had to go to work but he was throwing up!! So its been a bit rubbish, we have missed a few weeks of MG but thankfully we are all good now right in time for christmas!...
Which is all very exciting! Tommorrow we drive up to my Mums house and spend the night there and then in the morning go to DPs family's house then we will be back to feed the Feline so he dosnt staarve to death  I cant wait to see Winter tear apart all the wrapping paper and just have fun with our families, to think this time last year we were all heavily pregnant... sigh! At least this year after the Bubs are asleep we can have drinkies( well apart from Dansta)
Merry Christmas again to all of you Girls :)
-
evening ladies!
Peach:  you poor poppet and poor winter! sounds like a rough week, at least you'll be feeling fine and dandy for christmas/new year! and LOL at the rash post-vodka bindge! admitidly vodka and woodies where my drinks of choice eheh...ahh i could go a woodstock now!!
Sterla: your a busy bee! that sounds like a really funky idea costers for the fridge! we have alot of magnets on our fridge as it is so i think if i bought them DH would be like  why did you buy them lol!
AFM: been semi busy around here. caught up with an old friend of mine today - who i havent seen in 12 months. he's changed alot. he'd be 25 now, and i've known him since he would have been 19. he's living in QLD but is down for christmas. him and DH are a little stand off-ish around each other (mainly due to this friend being very much older-brother like with me for meany years) but today we had a brake though LOL cars and wheels and wheel rims hehe. DJ joined in - by eating the paper that was being written on. DJ is also commado crawling like a mad man, starting to get the idea of crawling on non-carpeted floors. and chaseing our cats lol, they now know to sit on the couch to escape him! looking forward to christmas eve - we go to my mum n dads place and my (almost) 90 year old nanna, dad and uncle b!tch and whinge about the carols poor DH didnt expect my nan to join in  hope every one has a wonderful christmas and santa is uber nice to each and every one of you!!
-
oo we must all be busy bees!
how was every ones first christmas??
DJ got spoiled rotten! we bought him a few things - a counting cow, bath cups, bath book and some stacking cones. from my mum n dad he got some trike thing that goes from 10mths to 36 i think it was, some clothes, bibs and a really, really ugly vest that to quote my DH "Dose your mum think he's a drag queen" the rest of the family gave him some pritty cool toys. my aunt gave him some bongo things that turn into a rolling bongo set (KWIM?) MIL bought him a numbers/ABCs puzzle in the shape of a giraffe. and the shocking part? my BIL and SIL (who a] didnt send us a card when DJ was born b] didnt make an effort to see him untill he was 6 wks old and c] just plain poopie heads towards me in the past) bought DJ something :jawdrop: it was a small dog that you smoosh its nose and it barks, but still. we gave them $30 'cus we had No idea if they'd get us or let alone DJ anything, so that got put in the card lol. which means that now they're in the "ok" books with us and will most likely get an invite to DJ's first Birthday (lol planning already hehe) whats every one doing for NYE? we're heading to a cousins 30th 2.5 (well with traffic more like 4.5 lol) for a BBQ and then NYD we'll have the 30th. then i have to get cracking and start planning DJ's 1st and my 21st :o plus we have our second scan on the 26th of jan :o not long now!! Ohh plus throw into the mix DH's work has been out sorced so he'll be going over there to put all the stock into their system whilest trying to organise containers ect to the old place and new.
OOO and another thing. DJ has worked out how to climb over custions! i had a few around stopping him from going into the kitchen, well he can now climb over a single one so now i've got two there! he's still not sitting on his own, but he quite happy standing - with eather DH or I holding the back of his shirt. he'll sit when im playing with him on the floor, but if i move he straitens up in an attempt to stand up - which is rather cute!
i better be off the little man has woken up! hope every one has a wonderful new year!
-
Right - time to brush the dust off this old thread :)
How was everyone's Christmas and New Years? I hope you all ate way too much and were very merry and festive!
We had a busy Christmas - well, Christmases (we had 3). We travelled 3 hours Christmas Eve day to have Christmas with my side of the family on Christmas Eve. Oliver conked out after dinner but before dessert and presents - but he was so good for us. He didn't get grumpy or anything being up later than usual or being in an unusual place.
Christmas Day morning Oliver finally got to open all his presents from my family.
Then we had Christmas brunch at DH's dad's which was okay. After that we travelled 3 hours back home, and then had Christmas tea at our place with DH's mum and brother, uncle and aunt.
Oliver was spoilt! He got a clam shell pool/sandpit, a ride-on horse, a talking/singing frog toy, shape sorter ball, HEAPS (as in about 30) books, some Baby Einstein DVDs, assorted instruments, HEAPS of clothes... It's a little ridiculous how much he got, but that's what happens when you're the first grandchild ;).
DH and I did well - we got a new mailbox (we desperately needed one), a cinema voucher, heaps of Bunnings vouchers, books, CD's, I got some earrings and a bracelet as well.
After Christmas, DH, my lil sister and I repainted our kitchen. It's now a very bright and cheery yellow, compared to the drab apricot/pink that it was.
New Years was pretty low key for us. We went to a friend's barbecue, and left about 9.30pm when Oliver was getting over it. He did such a good job up until then though - he's such a good boy! Then DH and I watched the Shaun Micalef special, and I was very close to falling asleep before midnight, lol. At midnight we went outside and we could actually just see the tops of two sets of fireworks.
Oliver has been good. He had two night's in a row where he only woke once!!! But then last night he was back to his usual wakings (and up at 5am - I was dead on my feet!). He is learning lots of new words and is so close to standing unaided, if only he had the confidence to do it. He has been saying mum and dad a lot, and "boob", lol, more (when he's eating), he's also attempted to say Bella (one of our cats) and says "ma" when he sees our other cat Milo. He also has a favourite book called Bumbletum, and he tries to say that! He's pointing a lot too. It's amazing how well he can communicate what he wants to us!
DH and I went to see The Lovely Bones at the cinema today - my first trip to the cinema since I was 40 weeks pregnant! It was also about the 3rd time I've left Oliver with someone other than DH, and it was for the longest time. The movie was good, but I have to say I was starting to feel quiet anxious and wanting to get back to Oliver towards the end. Of course, Oliver didn't even seem like he missed me, lol!
Oh, and if any of you girls are interested... I have been having a go at making avatars. I made Arimeh's new one if you ever see it. If you want an update Dansta, or if any of you other girls go platinum and want an avvy, and don't mind me having a go at making you one - just let me know!
BTW Dansta, you're allowed a new pregnant avvy now ;).
Anyway, I think that's all for now. I hope you're all well and I hope I see you on here soon :).
-
sterla: i almost fell off my chair when i saw your new avy! its hawt! and falling off my chair is a good thing too. you did a brillaint job of it!! i saw Arimehs new one i thought it was really nice..i may just take you up on the offer of updateing my avy for me!
and Gaww and Oli, thats soo cute! saying boob. ...just watch out he doesnt learn to squeeze others boobies, my old english teachers kiddlett did that...along with saying "boob" ;) glad you guys had a good christmas and new year!
AFM: had a good nye. drove 4.5 hours, not 2.5 like i thought. got caught in a down poor of rain and made it to the caravan park in once peice. found out a cousin of mine is expecting the same time as me. her EDD is 1day after mine :o which is nice - takes some of the attention away from me  i found out i have a very...differant way of bringing up children then the rest of my family (well dads side) as i got told my two cousins when DJ was upset to "ohh just let him cry it out" - one of them hasnt even got kid and i smiled and said "Nah, i love cuddleing DJ to much" then the childless one muttered something about spoiling him...and i looked at her and pointed something out "I've never known a child to be spoiled by kisses and cuddles, only by matiral things" she left me alone. one cousin told me she left her DD to CIO for an hour :o when she was 6 weeks old. but thats the choices they made. i found myself defending DH and My choices to a few people, but in the end every one commented on how well DJ was dispite a) being ina camper trilor b) so far away from home and c) it being so hot/humid most of the time. all of it just made me feel lucky that i'm able to be confidant and happy with our choices. i have an appt. with the Midwives on thursday - to book in for group midwifes this time (same middies though antinatal, post natal and home visit) and hopefully i'll be able to hear bundys heart beat (i'll ask lol) DJ is crawling around more - i caught him on his hands last night. but just sitting there, looking at them then plonked back down onto his forarms. he can climb over couch cousions fairly well now. he's also taken to saying "mummummum" when im feeding him but clearly not fast enough lol. and giving DH and I slobberly - open mouthed kisses. when he wants up he'll eather hold his hands up or crawl over and head butt us - or bite my toe as he did today! Ohh and i had a slite "grrr" moment today. we got an invite the little girl from MG's first birthday. - on the 6th of Feb. we where going to have DJ's 1st birthday that day - but now im wondering if i should even bother with it - like out side of family because its soo close...any ideas?
hope every one is having a good one!!

Hey Girls,
Piglet has just gone down for a nap so I have time to reply!
How are we all? Things here have been pretty good, Winter and I went to Rhyme Time at the library this morning, it was good to get out and there were some really lovely Mums there who I havnt met before. I dont know if Ive mentioned before but the lady who hosts it really dosnt seem too keen on it all which is a little... I dont know, boring at times? But Winter and I both love the social interaction so its good to go I think.
Winter is good, she is cruising along walls and anything that will support her. She pulls herself up and tries to climb up the back of our legs now when she want to be picked up which is cute, but sometimes manages to pull my pants down entirely(not when in public luckily :)) Um what else? Holey crap I havnt posted since before christmas!! Well WInter got spoilt rotton which is no suprise and not our house is so full of toys it is ridiculous. I look at it all and feel like no child needs this many toys but I guess I should just appreciate it hey. NYE we stayed home and I fell asleep at 11.30 :)
Sterla- Your avvy looks awesome, I cant believe you made it well done! I would love one but cash is so tight here atm I know I should get membership... one day. That is so great all the words Oli is saying, lol about Boob. I bet it was nice to go to the movies although I do understand what you mean about getting anxious. My Mum has watched Winter a fair few times now, and I dont really get too stressed anymore as I trust her completely. It is sooo strange walking around without a pram though!
Dansta-Good on you for sticking up for your values with DJ. Some people have no idea I reckon, one hour of crying it out? That makes me sad just thinking about it. Best of luck with hearing Bundy's heartbeat :)
PJ- How are you? How is Summer healing ? Hope your both well.
Moose- Hello to you and Sammy!
Oh man Winter is awake! Hope everyone is well
-
Me again :)
Winter was so not ready to be awake so is now sleeping in her pram. Up untill about two days ago she actually went off falling asleep on my boob and would only fall asleep in her pram and spent a few whole nights in it, but I think hopefull it will pass soon the last 2 nights have been ok even though she woke up twice and was up for the day at half 5 :o
One last thing, I learnt a big lesson yesterday.... Winter woke up from her arvo nap in her cot and she was grizzling, so I left her for a minute and then I heard a thump and crying, she had climbed and fallen out of her cot and was flat on her back on the floor! She wasnt hurt at all and actually stopped crying as soon as I cuddled her but I have the rail raised now, lesson learned!
Ok Im off now :)
-
Hi ladies!!Glad to hear everyone sounds well!Sorry I havent been in here for a while we seemed sooooo busy over the break! All is well here but I guess most of you might know about poor Summers leg!!I think in my last post I mentioned my nephew and neice wwere playing on the floor with her and she suddenly started screaming and they thought maybe she'd hit her head well i turned out her leg was fractured poor poppet!!We didnt even know, after she cried for about half hour she went to sleep and then woke like normal for her bath and went back to bed no worries it wasnt till the next day we noticed she was favouring the leg so i took her to the docs and they sent her for xrays and then up the hospital for a cast, its a undisplaced fracture so its not all the way threw I still feel so bad poor thing. She only has the cast on for another week now so thats good news though. It seems the only story we can get out is that her leg may have got caught under the rocker thing and one of them leant on it.crazy as shes played with them sooo many times before and usually my nephew i have to keep an eye on but ive told him that many times and hes 10 so not as if he not get it and they were sitting on the floor with her while she playing with toys and there were 5 adults sitting right there!!!Anyway cant keep on about it just glad shes healing nicely!
Peach-Wow thats something i keep waiting for, summer hasnt pulled herself up yet but can sit up,i will start pulling the rail up too!!Made me laugh about pulling your pants down when winter grabs hold of you heehee cute
DJ-good on yo!!I dont believe in the crying thing either too sad surely it harms them and makes them feel unloved???Ive been told that too and i stupidly tried it once it was the worst arvo of my life and summer was soooo distraught after and it didnt do anything!
Sterla-I love it!!boob!heehee!when I saw pics of Oli on the walker thing on facebook I could see how good he is at walking!!hes so clever!!
sorry its so quick ladies but i can hear someone waking up id better go!!Oh BTW somebody has started to make an effort to crawl!!!!yah!!Cast and all!!!
-
Good to hear from you Pj, Im glad Summer is doing well and trying to crawl with the cast on how exciting :) Dont be too hard on yourself about her leg, with a bunch of adults around you would think you could leave the room for a sec hey. Its hard not to get the Mummy guilts sometimes though.
*Yawn* Winter didnt sleep through again last night its been about a week now, minus the two nights she slept in her pram next to our bed. And then the stupid dog next door woke us all up at half six, GGGRRR! Anyway things apart from that are good, was meant to see a friend today but she is unwell so Im not getting out of my pj's all day :)
Hope you all had a good night*
-
Hello everyone :)
I think I better clarify... I didn't make my own avvy, Trillian made that (she does most of them I think), but I did make Arimeh's. I didn't mean for it to sound like I'd made mine too .
Dansta: Sounds like you had a busy New Year's. That sucks about your family telling you to CIO with DJ :( It's hard sometimes - when people say that to me I'm torn between wanting to inform them about how crappy CIO is, or just smiling and nodding (and completely disregarding what they say). Usually I opt for smile and nod, cause I'm not big on confrontation .
Awww about slobbery kisses - they're the best!
Peach: That's great about Winter cruising around furniture! Clever girl.
That sucks about the lack of sleep - I hear you though. I am so tired, thank goodness DH is home on holidays still so I can kick him out of bed in the mornings and get an extra hour or two sleep.
:o Oh no about Winter falling out of her cot! I've worried about that with Oliver. I'm pretty sure he can't, but I still wonder and worry sometimes.
Saw your sig - less than a month till Winter is one!!! It's so hard to believe our babies are all about to turn one! Are you having a party for Winter?
PJ: Like Peach said, don't be too hard on yourself about Summer's leg . That's good that her cast comes off soon.
 Wow, well done Summer starting crawling with a cast!!! That's impressive!
Moose: How are you and Sammy? Flat out I imagine ;)
AFM: Oliver has been up since 6am (officially - before that he was up and down every half an hour since 3am). Hasn't gone down for a sleep yet (apart from 5 mins at around 8.30am). Exhausting!
Yesterday we had MG in the park, that was nice. So many bubs started crawling over the Christmas break - I think three are properly crawling and one is sort of 'worming' along the ground - bubs have been busy!
We also had friends over last night for board games which we haven't done in ages! They are understandably busy - being that they're getting married a month from today!
I'm a bit tired and can't think of what else we've been up to, sorry. I hope you're all well.
-
Pj: should we start calling Summer peg-leg? she's doing brillaint to be trying to crawl with her legs in a cast! im sure things will sort them selfs out RE your nephew. and aww about the cot-diving thing too. my sister did that and chipped her fount tooth- chaceing her Dummy noless (and yes, shes a blonde but now a lawyer...so tis not all bad ;) )
Peach: aww about the dog :( maybe she'll get used to it? we have a dog next door to us - and she barks from time to time but DJ sleeps though it - i think hes used to it now. i hope winter sleeps better for you
sterla: yay for crawling bubbas at MG! hehe you're noice kicking your DH out of bed to tend to Oli - i'd be doing the same thing ;) i hope Oli gets some sleep for you. as for the CIO - they're lucky i was in a good mood other wise i'd most likely have gone to town on them - and even offered to send them the studies i have read regarding CIO and the affects it has on babies. esp. the one with out a child. she is just a tad full of her self...didnt talk to me for 12 months then on NYE gave me a belly rub for bundy 0_0
AFM: we have some toothie pegs on the rise! or rather fall. two top ones i saw white lumps yesterday morning but by the arvo they'd gone down...give it a week and we'll have four teethies, not two! and no doubt the rest wont be too far behind...i better go i have a Mr Dj awake!
-
Good Morning :)
Sterla- Thats crazy Oli is up every half hour, do you know why? Is he just needing help to settle each time? *Yawn* Winter didnt sleep through againg last night and the DAMN dog next door woke me up again today, this time at 6. You'll feel like a new woman once Oli starts sleeping through :)
Tha sounds really fun playing board games, DP never wants to play anything with me as I always win(he reckons anyway). What games do you like to play?
Not too much happening here, Winter is so cheeky she has started doing this thing where if she picks something up off the floor to put in her mouth as soon as we go to get it off her instead of sitting still she turns around and crawls away at full speed smiling :)
SIL hopefully visiting today with Winters cousin who is 5 weeks younger than her.
Oh and as for Piglet's birthday, it is on a thursday so I think we will have a little MG party here, then on the sat we will have a family and close friends get together at home also. SIL emailed me a link to a site with sugar-free cakes so thinking I will bake one for Fat Chops. What are you girls doing for birthdays? I cant believe it either Sterla, where has the time gone?
-
ello laides.
been quiet eh?
been a busy day for us. but not in a good way. our bubba boy has chicken pox :( have nooo idea where he picked it up from but he looks bad, is a wee grumpy but other then that fairly normal. my mother tried to push us to see a GP tomorrow, but we're going to hold off until tuesday - so we dont have to go out in the heat. lucky for me i already had it when i was a kid, and so has DH. but my poor bubba :( at least he wont rember it!
-
Dansta: Poor DJ! Give him a big  from me and Oliver. That's strange though, I wonder where he picked it up? I suppose it could be as simple as catching it from someone out at the shops? Also, I've heard some people actually can't get chickenpox, but are still carriers and pass it on to other people.
I hope DJ is feeling better very soon .
Peach: We play lots of board games. The most recent have been Sorts, Articulate, Talkin' 'bout Your Generation and Partini. Lucky for me, DH likes playing games, and we have a friend couple who also like playing :D.
Yup, we're doing a small party for Oliver's birthday - I should probably send out some invitations about now, hey?! We will just have it at our house - family, a few close friends and a select few mums+bubs from MG (I don't think I want invite all 17 of them!)
Did you get those sugar-free cake recipes? Any good ones, cause I'm thinking of doing the same.
PJ, Moose, anyone else??? How are you all?
AFM: Had a fairly quiet week really. Had DH home, so we've just had a lot of days hanging out at home. Yesterday we had visitors galore - my dad and sister, then MIL, then dad again, then my brother, then my mum, then four friends (who came over to play board games - again).
I'm fairly sure Oliver has one of his top front teeth coming through. The white bulges have been there for a while, but I caught a glimpse today and it looked like a hole in the middle of the white bulge - I'm assuming it is the tooth cutting through the gum? He was super grumpy tonight and took forever to get to sleep - we ended up giving him panadol cause he was obviously in pain, poor little man :(.
Oliver has been busy, as usual (when are our bubs not busy?). He can now walk just holding on to one of our hands. It's funny though, he seems to prefer us holding his left hand. Hold his left hand and he'll walk along fine, hold his right and he'll refuse to walk and sit down. He's also started imitating animal noises - he says 'meow' (well, his own odd-sounding version of it), and "moo".
Not much else to report, other than we're off to a 3rd birthday party tomorrow morning (for Arimeh's oldest), and DH goes back to work on Monday :(.
Hope you're all well - goodnight.
-
Hi again ladies!!! How is everyone doing?
Not much happening here - I'm just trying to keep busy now that DH is back at work.
Anyway, Oliver has woken up, so I better go. I mainly just wanted to pop in to see how everyone is doing. :)
-
sterla: you busy bee!
we've been busy with the pead appt and the chicken spots. pead was happy with DJ but still wants to do a test for metobolic rate (sp?) and something else. had a twat of a mother sent me a few sms's today read : https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ml#post2132310
other then that things are fairly cruisy around here. i'll be back later. i need to go do some melly bashin' ;)
-
Hey All,
Just want to say I am still alive, in laws and visitors only left last Monday so we are slowly getting back into the daily routine. Sounds like everyone had a great Xmas and Sammy got spoiled too. No time to write about it now but will be back in the next couple days to give a nice full long post update as per usual! haha
I am running out of idea & creativity of what to give Sam for lunch. Especially on hot days...what is your bub's favorite lunch?
Moose
-
Dansta: That sucks about the mum in your MG :(. Have you sorted things out with her?
Moose: Hi!!! Nice to see you around :D. Sounds like you've been super busy! As for lunch ideas... I get stuck too. Sandwiches are good. Slices of cucumber to munch are nice and refreshing (and a good idea for teething too btw). Yogurt with fruit if you've had cereal or something for breakfast. Tuna through pasta with cheese if you like (can be served hot or cold). I tried Oliver with an omelette not long ago (had onion, capsicum and cheese in the middle) and he loved that... Now that our bubs are almost a year old they can have pretty well everything we have - so I often just make Oliver the same as what I'm having :).
AFM: Well, AF came back today... it's only taken 11 months! Can't say I missed her at all ;). I am kind of glad AF arrived though, as I was concerned I'd have to wean Oliver in order to start TTC (when we decide to). So, it is a relief. Now, just better be careful in the bedroom... or not ;).
Oliver seems to be getting lots of new teeth all of a sudden. He has two bottom, and almost 4 top teeth now. I know two top teeth are through for sure, but I haven't checked in a couple of days, and I know that another two were very close.
And I can't remember if I mentioned it or not, but Oliver has now perfected walking only holding onto us with one hand. He uses his other hand to balance a bit, and he can actually get a bit of speed up... walking may not be too far away :).
We've been having some better nights recently. In the past week we've had 4 nights where Oliver has slept 5-6 hours before waking, and a few nights where he has only woken once. I feel so refreshed you wouldn't believe! I no longer feel like a walking zombie! This together with really good day sleeps (2 x 1.5-2 hour sleeps a day) I'm hoping it is the start of a new trend :crossfingers:.
Anyway, I should go and attempt some housework before Oliver wakes up. I hope everyone is well!
-
moose: YaY glad your alive! as for lunch DJ atm seems to like pasta or fruit. i am however trying to cox him onto sangers - he wont eat bread atm 0_0 i have a strage child :P
sterla: YaY for a/f!(i think lol!) maybe #2 will be here sooner then you think ;) and aww at Oli. he's such a smartie pants. hes looking veeery cute though!
AFM: havent talked to that mum from MG - i see no point. she sent the first sms to *every one* (i talked to another mum from MG) and i told her what happend and how i tried to end it telling her i was dealing with bigger issues then chicken spots! next MG will be nice - if she brings it up damn she'll be brung down. she cant be 'mother goose' im not the type of person who can be told what/when/how to do things (thus i have issues with my mother  ) but im worse if i'm ignored when i know how to treat *my* son. as for the appt. on tuesday was with a really good pead he thinks DJ is fine, but wants to test his metobolic rate due to him not sitting up (???) but im going to question that when he calls as i'd like to know if the sitting up should be due to being placed in the sitting postition and allowing the back mucles to compensate OR doing it on there own, we did/are doing the latter due to the bad reflux DJ had untill around 8 months of age. which i think if he tells me its from being sat up i may decline the further testing as i feel DJ is doing things in his own time (like he's quite good at climbing up DH and sitting on his knees whilest holding himself up on DH's chest, its really cute as he cant do that with me due to my boobies :P ) other then that all is good. DJ is getting over the chicken pox really well, i feel bad his poor little doodle and berrys have to get some on them :( but at least he cant scrach! he's also *very close* to having his two top teethies pop out, which is hard for the poor mite has he has the spots toboot! he's been unsettled of a night so after about 1am hes in bed with DH and I, he was in with us last night at 11:45pm and spelt until 7:30am which was a nice sleep for all of us, esp DH whoes been doing 9-5 the past week and feels like hes "missed out on seeing DJ" a little. as for bundy? things are going along nicely. little upset that DH wont be able to make it to the 20wk u/s :( due to is cruddy work (that is they expect him to work 7 full days (Ie monday-sunday) then start his new job (which is the same job just a differant company) on the monday for another full 5 days :o he isnt even sure if he gets Australia day off!! not.happy.jan!also been feeling movements and i have a little belly on me now - which i've started taking photos of - and will post to FB sooner or later along with DH and his "face paint" IE calamine lotion hehe. i also found out my father is having a full knee replacement in the middle of may and MIL is umming and arrring about having her hip replaced (i'm all for it because she loves walking and its getting harder and harder for her to do this along with canoeing too) any whoo i better be off to wash the dishes before the old man wakes up!

Dansta: That sucks about the mum from your MG.
Sounds like the paed was pretty happy with DJ then. I'm glad he's recovering well from chickenpox - poor little guy.
Yay about bundy!!! That is so exciting about having a bit of a bump and feeling movements!!! Must make it feel so real (again).
Oliver hasn't had his afternoon sleep today :wall:. Mummy needs a break Oliver! I have him watching Baby Einstein now, so that will have to do for my break today I suppose.
