Karlie- Mum and dad are near the lake so they are safe. One of mum's friends lost their house in the fire near spotlight.
My god so much devestation. Its so terrible.
Most of my friend's and old neighbours where on stand by to leave. It had alot to do with wind direction. The smoke got that thick they had to leave later on anyway.
Mum looks after the motel where all the fire fighters and homeless are staying, and will be giving Jakes and Tara's old clothes and toys to them. Mum know's of one family which had no insurance, so I said to offer to them first.
It was only yesterday we where all up at spotlight getting Jakes party balloons, and an hour later the fire was close by the store. Hmmm.
Glad to hear you family lives away from there jen.
I will catch you all later. Its been a pritty full on day.
I too am glad to hear that you are all ok. These fires are just devastating, it's hard to believe just how bad. We drove home from Melbourne yest and got turned around twice because of the fires. The heat and wind was unbelieveable - it felt like a furnace outside, but we had no idea just how bad they were until we got home and turned the news on.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ZANE AND JAKE!
I hope you both had a lovely day
Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Catherine had a lovely day and has been spoilt rotten. My parents are staying with us for a couple more days and are loving spending so much time with her. I just can't believe my little girl is one already. i also got a little teary on the day remembering what was going on exactly one year ago.
karlie - I just found you on facebook.
Sonya - the cake sounds great! I would love to see some pics too.
prama - poor Poopy. I hope the teeth stop giving him grief soon. I was loving the hylands teething tablets too but we have run out and I can't find them here. I must remember to pick some up when we visit Perth in a couple of weeks. Jen, I tried one too to see what they would do and I can't say I noticed much either!
kato - wow, I am impressed at baxter doing what you tell him to. Catherine deliberately does what she knows she is not supposed to do and is sooo naughty all the time! She won't eat her food, but she wants to eat mine off my plate (when it is the same thing anyway) and then she will grab some and crawl across the room with it, smearing it all over the floor! Sigh, she makes such a mess!
bronzdbebe - DD loves raggs. Even if I sam just changing channels and she sees raggs for 2 seconds, she is completely mesmerised!
Hi to everyone else, I hope you and your bubs are all healthy and happy xx
Glad to hear all you VIC ladies are safe - only just switched the tellie on and saw - unbelievable - our thoughts are with you all - hope the temp comes down and brings some relief soon!!!
Prama - glad to hear that poopy is feeling better cutting teeth must be soo painful for the little buggers but those hyland tablets sound like a god send - i find the brauers teething relief helps with baxter...
i got a fright today, baxter has been really grouchy for the weekend and sleep the last couple of nights was almost nill - looked in his giggling mouth this arvo (when he was feeling better) and saw 2 back molars had cut threw on at the top, 1 on either side..!?!? talk about cross cutting..! now it is obvious why he was so cranky (makes you feel a bit bad when you don't realise thats going on..)
sue - i am dreading having to be without DS for just a couple of days when i go back for some work in april... big hugs make the most of some you time
hope everyone had a good weekend, sorry for 'me' post...
i found that baxter loves sesame street - especially oscar the grouch! i usually flick it on for 15 mins or so in the morning if he is getting a bit antsy...that and he loves sitting in the dogs kennel gave it a good scrub today..
Very "me" first post for the day....I'll be back laterAnd will do personals then.
Zane having his 12 month needles this morning so wish me luck!!! Adam (DH) away for 2 weeks for work and my parents have just left aswell, aww little sad. I'm trying very hard to "build a bridge" I just hate the first day of being left alone... such a wuss!!
Just quickly soooo glad to hear everyone in VIC is safe, just devastating, so awful really there are no words to describe the loss...of everything, Very selfish I know....I'm just glad "our girls" are safe!!
I'll post pics of Zane's birthday/party/cake on FB as soon as I can hopefully later today, I have a locked profile so send me you FB names and I'll add you as a friend
Prama - thanks for the link for the Hylands tablets, will try to get some online.
Sonya - It is pretty difficult the first day of being home alone, isn't it? After that you just settle in and get on with it. I have the last day of being home alone with bub as DP has been away since Friday (only a few days, so can't complain, really...). Spending more time on BB helps for me (I am such a recluse (sp?))! Good luck with Zane's needles, we wait until after his birthday party, so next week will be the week for us... I just hate taking him in for his needles.. Jasper loves Raggs too, but I don't think it is on prime anymore. He also likes the Tellytubbies and 'Bottle top Bill'.
Kato - yay on Baxter cutting his molars!!!
We are getting quite a bit of smoke overhere now the wind has turned south. Just devastating watching the news about the bushfires.... whole streets wiped out... not knowing whether your family members made it or not... Just feeling so sad for those people....

Kato- OMG Molars? hahaha Amber has only just cut her 3rd tooth and her first top one. We have a ways to go! Hopefully Baxter is a lot happier now.
Sonya- I am Jenny Angus on FB. The pic is of Amber and I on there. Would love to see pics.
Prama- So many people have so closed minds. I dont harbour those views. I bet that bloke in the Woolies line is going to die a lonely old man.
Esme- Yay on DH returning today. I am sure you could do with the break. Hopefully the smoke doesnt get too thick there.
Bun- We hear you on the being naughty. Amber even looks back at me when I ask her what she is doing and has a cheeky grin on her face. Her latest thing is putting things into things. Like she will get into my bag, take the contents out of my purse and then put things like my money in the bin. I found her sippy cup in the bin before and she has also put her dummy in the bin. They are so naughty!
Oh I must leave it there for now. Will be back later.
molars - that must hurt heaps more.. poopy's suffering with his 2nd one.. he hasnt got the top 2 or the bottowm 2, it's top left one. strange huh.
hehe - the kids are starting to be cheeky arent they!
amber sounds like girly girl, going thru your handbag..
the other day poopy was sticking his finger into the power point and i kept pulling his hand away and kept tell him no, it's bitey. he kept doing it, he thot it was funny and laughed at me when i told him no, even tho i was very firm. finally i gave him a gentle tap on his hand and pulled it away and said No again. He grabbed my hand and tapped me instead!! cheeky bugger.. sigh
Sorry didn't manage to get online yesterday, was at work and then we all went out for dinner. But I did post the cards this morning!!
Bronzdbebe -- good luck with the immunisations. They don't like them but it is better than them getting really sick.
Kato -- molars ouch! Don't worry about not knowing about whats going on I think it takes a while for all of us to work out whats going on with them its a process of elimination. He he on Sesame Street and the kennel
Prama -- big hugs. We love you lots because you are you. Unfortunately there are some very narrow minded people around, forget about it if you can. He is not worth you getting upset over.
Esme -- it is so sad about the fires. We are very lucky that we didn't have any around here as we are close to some forests. All those poor people who have died i had to turn off the tv as I was getting quite emotional. The boys want to donate some toys to the kids that have lost everything.
first off BIG HUGS to Prama!! That guy is unfortunately uneducated and ignorant. As for Laksham well we just have to hope and pray that other mummies out there are like us and are making sure that their children are educated and are aware of the fact that it doesn't matter what someone looks like it's what inside that counts.
Zane's needles are over and done with for another 6 months yay for us!! Poor baby he hit the nurse's hand away when she tried to give him a sticker for being so brave, guess she's not on the christmas card list lol. He is all good though which is the main thing.
Photo's are now on FB let me know what you think of the cake!! I didn't realise but I haven't added photo's in ages so there are now heaps for everyone to have sticky beek at.
argh Little Z is awake.... once again...I'll be back...Sorry I'm a slacker today.
Prama - Don't worry hun, we are not anywhere near the fires but the smoke comes such a long way..
Our bubs are sure getting cheeky; Lakshman sounds like Jasper!!
Sue - Good to hear you are safe too. Your boys are lovely wanting to donate some of their toys. I have turned the TV off too.
Sorry girls got to go; lentils boiling over and bub waking up too early.... BBL...
OK, lentils under control and bub went back to sleep..... just cooking a big batch of vegies for Jasper for the coming week and trying to put some lentils through, but i have never cooked them before; any tips? Now, where was I?
Karlie - Thanks for Jasper's birthday card; he loved it; especially the envelop! How did you know he is such a cheeky monkey ?
Jen - Jasper loves putting things into other things too, but luckily he sticks to his stacking cups and blocks! It helps that we have put gates up to keep him out of most of the house.
Sonya - Yay on having the needles over and done with! Hopefully it won't affect him too badly...
Hi to everyone else!! Gotta get back to the vegies...
Happy Birthday Zane, Luke & Jake!! Sonya, Karlie and Jacki I hope you all enjoyed precious days with your babies.
Argh, bloody laptop, I just wrote a huge post.
Take 2.
Sorry haven't been around much, been dealing with a lot and struggling. The fires are devastating and I am so worried about my friends and family. Not sure of any of you have seen the "Falguni" thread, but I have actually been to her house, and to think of the way her place must look now is, just, traumatic. It is too real. I feel so sorry for everyone affected. We're so broke at the moment so i can't donate money and I can't even get to a Red Cross to donate blood so I feel flipping useless.
I am considering having a garage sale and donating all money if I can.
Prama - I read you post and I wanted to give you a big hug. That man was totally inappropriate. I still can't understand how some people don't have a grasp of cultural diversity. Guess "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" rings true sometimes. We know that you are a beautiful woman and an extraordinary mother, and we know that your 'colour' does not define you as a person. That guy was a jerk. Now go look in the mirror, and remind yourself just how beautiful you are and just how much we love you!
Kato - WOOHOOOO on the molars!! I wish Alex's would come through. They have been teasing me for ages now and he is not himself. I would very much like my low demand baby back!
Sue, Jen, Karlie, Carley, Bun - please stay safe. I know for most of you it is not near your cities but with the winds who knows. Will be thinking of you all.
BBL for more personals, just quickly - does anyone know/remember when Lysander's Birthday is? I can't remember.
Sonya- The cake is awesome! You did such a great job. Your family looks so happy. I also love Adam's tattoo on his back. If I ever get another one, thats what I would get. Zane is such a cute little man too.
thanks everyone for your wonderful words and support. i love you all too. that guy was a w@nker... sigh....
work are going to start a fund for the fires and the floods..
sonya - omg!! do you think you could post me a piece of zane's cake??!! it looks so so yummo!!!!!
glad his needles went well. he probably doesnt trust nurses anymore!
