I'm so glad to report that BJ is feeding much better. He is having longer feeds, and more often. Thank goodness. I don't think I could handle his fussyness for much longer.

    Happy Australia Day!

belfie - I thought you would have noticed from my posts that I've also been very moody! Dunno why though?! Cos I don't have AF yet. But yeah I'm a bit of a yo-yo at the moment. Was feeling really down last week and have been feeling better over the weekend. But yeah I've found little things can set me off at the moment. I hope it doesn't last long?!

PP - That's great that you had a night out with your DH! I'd love to work towards a night out with my DH. I'm thinking maybe we could start working towards having a night out on our wedding anniversary in March. That gives us time to prepare someone for looking after Maya hopefully. She's still afraid of everyone.

I thought Maya already had her growth spurt but she's waking earlier in the night again and feeding a lot more often and she's more unsettled. It's been a little cooler here so I don't think it's the weather. I think it must be growth spurt!

This week is going to be horrible weather wise though. I am so not looking forward to many hot days in a row!!

ETA - OMG I knew it was going to be hot here in Melbourne but I didn't realise it was going to be insanely hot! Just saw the weather forecast - four days of 40 degrees in a row!! And the other days are high 30s.

    Hi everyone

Holly - yep needles again boohoo - how is Mia going with her feeding, any better?

belfie - hey Zander is booked in for 03/02 as well for needles - i hate taking them, and I have just booked Giselle in for 4yo and Zanders 6mth at the same time - argh, wondering if I have done the right thing now .... she is a bit of a drama queen!

Oh, I don't have AF back yet either, but felt like it last week, of course you all remember (joke) that I posted I was just feeling foul, foul, foul. Well it has passed for the time being - but definitely ovulating so being very extra careful on that front as I can fall preg with DH just lookin at me at that time

PP - what are you doing with your feeding ATM? So glad you had a night out and it was enjoyable! Are you still on FB cos I saw your details in BB group but then couldn't find you .... or am I still just a new gumby at the whole thing

Tanya - Zander is still feeding - I call it overnight but technically I know it isn't - his last feed is still usually 6.30 - the other day he fed at 5.30 and then refused at 7pm before bed - so what to do?? He is a sound sleeper so no dream feed, and he woke at 1am - which I thought he would. He regularly wakes around 4am for the past 2 weeks, but that is still 9 - 10 hours - so I am not complaining - only cos everything else he does is fairly settled. Plus he goes straight back down without fuss - I am hoping once solids start he will get that extra hour or two - but that is no guarantee either.

I actually looked at some food on the weekend doing groceries so I will keep my eyes out if they come on special over the next month in prep for it all. I wont introduce until prob around 5.5 - 6 months - but will take Zanders lead and how long he puts up sitting at the table with us at night time for dinner and not eating. At the moment he is watching the whole hand to mouth movement .... will just watch him.

We are going to the coast for a few days from Wed - Sat and I can't wait. Riley's 6th birthday on 01/02 Sunday so busy week ahead. We are going ten pin bowling tomorrow too as DH is home this week on leave for a change - so I have guilted him into being busy with Riley as he has hardly been home these school holidays.

I had a snooze yesterday afternoon cos I was so tired I was teary all day, and WOW I was a new woman, just for an hour mid afternoon - DH cuold see I was on the edge so kept everyone out of my room and darlin Z slept for 2 hours as well.

I talk far too much ....

Hi Georgi, teru, amanda, amy, katones and i hope i havent missed anyone

Actually belfie and Georgi - remember this time last year give or take a week we are all in the PAML threads talking about HCG results and comparing and all that - wonderful to be here now all of us xxx

    sami
yep i am on facebook but for some reason you cant find me... i have never figured out what i did to remove me from the searches.
PM me your full name and ill add you

I am probably BF 80% and formula 20%. so sticking with it as much as i can.

As for solids i just made my own - boiled or steamed veges and then pureed and freezed in ice cubes.. so easy to do and then you know exactly what is in it as you made it!
Ashley was about 5 months when i started her on solids. She loved banana (still does - had 2 today lol!)... i am a big believer in baby led feeding - where i gave ashley half a banana and let her chew on it the way she was comfy rather than cutting it in pieces etc .

I remember i tried ashley on yogurt (baby one) at 6 months and she got the runs - we didnt try it again until 10 months, she has a problem with dairy every time i try it again - she is good with cheece and yougurt now, but i have her on soy as a milk drink now to stop the sloshy poos lol.

So will keep ethan on formula until about 18 months like i did with her once he weans completely.

    Well it is hot as,

Both sets of grandparents are here and it is crowded lol

    gotta go

    hugs!

    Hi all!!
Sami~~ I am on facebook too!!! Add me!!!! (You'll need to PM me so I can tell you my whole name though!)

Bethany has a complex that she isn't on the births list.... I may have to find her a baby therapist....

Been a pretty good day here, hold on to your hats girls, the MIL came over!! She was here for a few hours and actually helped out!! I needed a lie down after it all from the shock of the situation. The downside was at 2pm when I went to put Bethany down for her normal nap she kept talking and playing with her, it was 4pm before a very very over tried baby went to sleep. I forcefully explained that Bethany had a routine and it needed to be stuck to so in future if she was visiting could she respect that quiet time started at 1:30 and bed at 2pm. So there :P

Well back to the house hunt tomorrow , hopefully will hear about the house we looked at on Friday and we can start preparing for THE MOVE!!

    Hope all are good

Oooh I'm on facebook too (only cos I'm stalking SamiH ).

I needed a lie down after it all from the shock of the situation.
AMy_O I can totally relate! Had the same thing happen with my MIL on Sat!! We're gonna have MIL look after X (at our place) when I'm in hossie next Tues... but DH will be working from home, so here as back up if things go wrong. I'm only a BIT nervous!!! And good luck with the house!!!

Thanks for the support Tanya - I'm feeling a heap better after a big "me" day today. I spent the ENTIRE day watching Project Runway on Foxtel  now you all know my dirty little secret mwahahaha... I didn't do any washing, cleaning, cooking etc... just fed X and sat on my a$$! It was GREAT!

I am probably BF 80% and formula 20%. so sticking with it as much as i can.
PP - well done, you're doing great

SamiH & Georgi... oooh so true re the PAML! My goodness that seems such a long time ago!

Also, cannot believe we've got 4 days over 40!!! OMG I'm not moving!

I'm on facebook too. Not sure how to find any of you though. I assume PMing to get names?

OMG I can't believe it'll be four days of 40 degrees either. I don't deal well with heat at all. We don't have air con. And I get even hotter feeding Maya (two hot sweaty bodies next to each other!) and walking around with her. Plus it means I won't want to go on our walks. So I'm gonna be a big grump during this week! Though that's probably not much of a change from last week.
