hi girls,

esme & jasper, sue, sophie & boys, karlie, jake & tara, kate and baxter - thanks so much for hte lovely cards!! we've got the cards on the mantlepiece and it looks soo cool. he does look like a very popular little boy!
ash - thanks for the great idea!
so glad everyone's getting their cards.

sonya - havent been the best and been busy, so didnt get a chance to get online. poopy's asleep so now have some time...thanks for your thots.
i still feel icky, not much appetite but at least i'm not throwing up.

esme - sounds like jasper's getting a tooth soon! poopy's still hasnt cut thru, i can see white on his gums and shapes of teeth on the top of his gums.. but nothing coming yet.. poor bubba and hte hylands dont seem so effective anymore...

i hafta run.. going to have something small to eat and then to bed. my tummy still feels yucky.

going to mil's tomorrow morning to make the cake. she's baked it so we'll do the deco. hope it turns out ok.
im so worried it'll rain on sat, i suppose if it does, we'll have to cancel..

amber, will be thinking of you darling.. yaay.. 1 more sleep

hehe - just after midnight, early morning of the 13th i was having BH which turned out to be contractions later on. i went to hossy at 4pm and was told i was 1 cm dilated and went back at 9pm and was 8-9cm dilated.. cant believe it was a year ago.!!

Esme Teeth suck bad. Jake just crawls around moaning and crying unless I pick him up. All 14 kg's of him. Ahhh.

Bun, you are right. It is hard to keep up with this thread.

I got 2 more cards yesterday. Thanks Esme & Jasper , Kate and Baxter. I think Jakes card are in Tara's arina now.lol


Sorry for the basic personal's. Im a bit stressed out and depressed. I just found out my dog has a massive tumor. I have had him since I was 21 years old, and Im not coping with it very well. DH got him the 1st year we meet.

What I'm about to write, may tend to make some of you think I'm Crazy Dog Lady, I don't mind you thinking that but I just wanted to let you all know that I know it's crazy we just couldn't bear to see our beloved pup in pain so we did/paid whatever we needed to.And if you want to abbrieviate my name to CDL I'm cool with that LOL*****

Karlie, Hunni you poor thing, Having a few tears for you, Has the vet said if it is operable? What sort of dog do you have. I know exactly how you feel, We had so many things go wrong with our dog Zeus, Hip recon, bloating, torn knee ligaments, skin allergies, everytime we turned around there was something else. We had him on special dog food that he ate wet, shampoo that cost more than my "purple" supply for a month, we took hm to a specialist for his skin and it turned he was allergic to our plants so we pulled them all out and started again. It was heartbreaking and devastating to watch him go through so much and not be able to be a dog. He was so full on though you couldn't slow him down...all 40 kilos of him, But in the end his body just couldn't keep up with his head.When we lost Zeus (our german shep) it was like loosing a family member, We ended up having to get him put down, Adam was away all the time and Z was only 4 months old, it had got to the point where he had hurt his "good hip" and his bad one had dropped 2 inches so we were looking a double reconstruction, which we just couldn't afford and there was no garentee he would be the same again. It was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever had to do.
If there is anything I can do, just let me know, I'll be thinking of you and the family. How are the kids going? Or is that something you haven't spoken to them about?

It sounds like there will be a lot of cake making going on today! I'll be baking too. I love baking. I am not much into cooking, but when it comes to creating sweets I am in the kitchen! I will be making two round choccy cakes filled with whipped cream and raspberries, covered in choccy icing and decorated with sugar farm animals, 100's and 1000's and decorative writing icing (?). Had a trial run on his actual birthday and everyone loved it, so hopefully it will turn out ok. Good cake making vibes to everyone!!!

Good to hear some of the cards made it. We will be checking the mailbox today too. We only get the mail on monday, wednesday and friday, so they keep us waiting for a bit longer!

So sorry to hear about your dog, Karlie . They really become your best mate, don't they?

As for us, we are busy getting the place ready for the bbq. We are having it at home, so we did a big cleanup yesterday. All ready now, all that is left are the cakes today. We had some rain overnight, Prama, but hopefully it will stay dry for you!

karlie - so sorry to hear about your dog. I would be devastated if anything happened to our boy. We have a border collie and we love him to bits. Is there anything they can do?

esme - the cake sounds great! I am the same as you - not really into cooking but I love baking and making unhealthy things! We did a practice run of DD's ladybird cake the other day and it was great! I am still finishing eating it... I think we will do some cupcakes as well.

sue - I would love to see pics of the princess castle cake!

prama - I hope you're feeling better. I am praying for good weather for you tomorrow! It's funny to remember what was happening exactly a year ago when we were having our little bubs. My mum still does that - she phoned this morning to say happy birthday and started reminiscing about when I was born. Then my grandma phoned and was telling me how she remembered my dad's face when he showed up at their doorstep first thing in the morning 30 years ago today to tell them I had arrived. I guess you never forget!

sonya - I am the same with sad movies etc. I used to think I understood how it would feel to have something happen to your child, but now I know just how devastating it would be. I don't know how I would survive if anything ever happened to Catherine. I just want to protect her forever! I saw Taken a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a really good movie.

DD had her needles yesterday. I would like to say she was brave but she wasn't! Poor little thing sreamed the place down and I felt sooo bad. She also had a fall yest and had a little bump on her head, so yesterday wasn't a good day for my little one!

Happy birthday Bun!!! 30 isn't all bad!!! Oh poor Catherine... I have been putting off Jasper's needles till after his party, so got that to look forward too . Hope she won't have too many side effects.

I am busy baking; using the same choccy cakes as described earlier, but now thinking to make the two round cakes into a teddy bear... mmmmm... getting too ambitious/creative? Will give it a go anyway...

Back to the cakes! wishing all the party boys and girls a really good party!!!

thanks everyone! after so much drama, we managed to get a scout's hall up the road from us, and it's got a huge backyard too. we can still have a party and if the weather's good, we can be outdoors. such a relief!

sonya - lol.. you're too funny!

sue - it's always nice to make cakes and shop for a little girl isnt it. i really hope we have a girl next time!

bun - thanks haha. i just remember this time last year.. i was in so much labour and was getting ready to go to the hossy. we got at at abt 10pm and i was 8-9cm dilated. i suddenly remember all the pain. yikes!
i guess it's harder now w needles cos they understand it a bit more.

oh - re bullying.. i forgot to post the other day. i think it's was pretty p!ss poor that the parents didnt apologise to you or let their child know it's wrong. imo it;s not on. it's a bit hard to tell the parents off, isnt it.. i dunno what to do in that situation...

so exhausted.. cant wait to go to bed.


oh and poopy made steve and me a Valentine days' card at day care!! i almost cried when i saw it.. it's got his little hand print on a heart shaped card, with pom pom ball thingies, and inside a picture of him at day care. sooo cute.. sigh!!! hehe.. makes day care worthwhile now..
