    Kat - it was amy

I also found you on FB lovey so sent you a request too

What happened with the family to say not family any more - that is really sad for you re jack's baptism - you are his family so if you felt up to it could still have it done as your own unit?

Hope you are feeling better soon, and yes if you are concerned, good idea to see your GP

Wow you girls are chatty, I feel all left behind, lol.

The two older boys are back at school today, yay. I'm on FB as well if anyone wants to be my friend. It's so hot and humid as well as pouring down rain so a wonderful first day back for the boys.

Ok off to have a browse around.

    hugs xoxo

    kat- hope everything works out
tanya- would she take EBM? it'll reduce the body-to-body contact
hmmm hi to everyone. i went to post all abt me and forgot everything else.

went to the post office to get passport done, but i walked out damn ****ed off...last time we went on a sat, the lady said they only do them on weekdays so she made me an appointment for today but checked over my forms to make sure nothing is wrong. then today this guy said cant put ur application thru cos ur guarantor has the same surname (nguyen is a very popular surname as u know). even if its a distant relative cant, and this b!tch butts in & say oh u'll get a hefty fine...ARGGHHHH....so back to the post office tomoro AGAIN!! im starting to run short on time to get it done how in the world am i going to study in this weather? im already struggling as is, and the heat to add to it?!!! there's more that i can complain but i think i should stop here for now hmmpf.

    ANYWYZ...
i kinda have 2 issues that hopefully some1 can help with:
    * re starting solids: should i try start dragon before we leave for o/s or wait til we come back? i guess i could always do it while we're over there but i dont know?!
    * i want to induce AF but want to keep bf'ing, any suggestions?

Teru re the solids it's really up to Dragon, is he showing signs, such as watching you put food in your mouth, making chewing motions. My first the recommendation was 4 months and I started then same with number 2 &3. But with number 4 it had changed to 6mths and he still really didn't want them so it was more 8mths when he started, all babies are different and only you will know.

RE AF, sorry but other then weaning there really isn't any way to bring AF on, it doesn' t mean that you can't fall pg while b/fing and not having AF, hope that made sense.

teruteru - dont try and plan when dragon is going to start solids, he will let u know when he is ready. How long will u be o/s for? why would u want to start him on solids before u go??????????

as for AF - yep what Amanda said..

we're going for 4-5 weeks. what signs should i look for? just thought itd be easier to start at home whilst being away, but guess it could always wait

the chance of falling pg whilst bf is relatively low?! i dont particularly want AF but its the only way i know to check that im ovulating iykwim

depends on the person... some ppl fall pregnant very easily when BFing, others dont. Its good to use protection so there isnt another little bundle. Thats if u dont want one atm.

As for soilds.. i reccomend reading these..

teru - At mother's group we were told to look for hunger signs before giving babies food - when they watch you eat and make chewing motions. I like the suggestion of giving EBM but it's still a battle most times to get her to take a bottle so I'd probably end up more hot and bothered from that!

    katones -

belfie - Ohh new PC - how exciting.

Maya is feeding so much more frequently at the moment! I feel like I don't have enough supply to meet her demand at the moment. But I remember people telling me that the 3 month growth spurt is tough so I'm sticking with the BFing and hope my supply increases soon!!

    I'm mighty tired though.

Oh and I've been concerned cos her lower ribs seem to be poking out! I think maybe it's just that she's growing fastest there.. but am worried maybe she's not getting enough food. So I rang the MCHN today and I have an appointment on Thursday to get her weighed. I hope she's OK!!

Bethany is all sticky out too, but when she saw the MCHN is was just the 3 month growth thingy, they are just one day apart so they must be growing together!! I keep telling Bethany that formula doesn't grow on trees!!! LOL

amy - OK maybe the ribs sticking out is just a growth thing then. That's what I think it is.. but can't help worrying a little bit. The good thing is that the MCHN said I could cancel any time before hand if I decide it's OK! But it's nice knowing I have an appointment to go get her checked out in case it's still worrying me.

teru - I know.. I don't really want to go out in the heat on Thursday. I'll see if I feel like she needs to be checked or not?!

My mums and bubs yoga was cancelled today due to heat. So I have to wait till next week to see what it's like! I have an osteo appointment this evening though. It'll be nice to be in air con for a bit.

OK.. think I might get an ice cream!!

I've thought about trying to get inside the fridge. haha..

Hmm.. OK maybe ribs are one of the first things to grow?!

I got Maya into bed by 9pm!! Normally I can't get her into bed before 10pm-ish! Had to resettle once.. now hoping she'll stay down.

Tanya - hope she stays down, I'm sending good vibes!

Well X has decided today is the day to roll. And roll and roll and roll and ROLL! But he only rolls from his back on his right to his front. Then howls in frustration cos he's on his front. He got his leg stuck through his cot bars earlier (cos I'd put him in without a sleeping bag cos it's so hot here... not doin' that again!). And now I've just tried to settle him with no success cos he keeps rolling lol!

So he's sitting on my lap thumping the desk as I write this! Any good suggestions for settling a roller?

oh my... if i could fit, i would be sitting in the frezzer right now..

And good luck with the weights for the ribby ones. I reckon some kids are just built lighter and some heavier. I think X's ribs are AWOL - he's got the opposite problem, I'm wondering if the MHCN tomorrow is gonna tell me he's too fat! Plus he's on a HUGE hunger bust atm... we've fed SEVEN times today.. compared to our usual FOUR . Eeeek! 'm puttin' him on rations!!!!

EDIT: fixed my roller with a tight sheet!
