I know, me too. We are going to have toddlers soon.

This is my last baby, so it's bitter sweet for me.

Thanks for the nice comment Jacki. Poor Tara was feeling left out, so I put a photo with her in it.

Good luck when daylight saving hits you Jacki. Its good in some ways but bad in others.

    Good morning everyone!!

Sue - sorry to hear that DD is off her food a bit! Could she be too distracted to feed? I notice with Jasper that his day feeds are getting shorter and shorter especially on the weekends when DP is around. He is just way too busy to keep drinking! But if she doesn't eat her solids... LOL, very cute the head shaking! Hopefully she'll be back to her normal self soon. Love your new pic by the way, she is so cute!

Karlie- it is so hard to think straight when they are crying; even when you know they are just whinging. I find it especially hard to concentrate on driving when he does it in the car!

Jen - Jasper has started to say bubba too! so cute. He tries his hardest when there are adults talking all around him. I think I might have to make a bit more of an effort to talk to him when we are home. But there is only so much googoogaga I can handle before I go gaga!

Bun - Warnambool sounds great! will be so nice to have a beach close by! I basically grew up on the beach and miss it a lot now we live in the middle of NSW! How is DD going with her solids? Still happy with booby juice? Jasper is improving a little even though there is not much variation in what he eats.

Minky - The look of concentration is priceless! And you know when they go quiet all of a sudden that it is time to check on what they are doing; Jasper is either picking up fluff from the carpet and trying to eat it, or he did a spew and is wiping it everywhere, LOL!!!

DS had a go at my banana yesterday and actually ate some, but he doesn't seem to like it mashed. I don't like to give it too him whole, so might have to keep trying mashed. Still not eating veges... I have some sweet potato in the fridge so might give that a go at lunchtime. He is on three meals a day now; yoghurt and apple for breakfast and tea and rice cereal/oats and apple for lunch. So far not much luck with other foods.

    Have a good day everyone!!

I agree the mornings are so hard I am still an hour behind. Luckily the boys seem to have adjusted well and Sophie is sleeping well and not waking until 7-8am lovely. I can't seem to go to sleep before 10.30-1130pm though.
I seem to be more disorganised as she gets older maybe if I got up before they did I would be more organised he he next year I will I will have to
    Have a great day everyone

    Hi all!

Daylight saving isn't too bad for us as DS used to go to bed at 6 pm and wake at 6 am, this has now changed to 7 pm and 7 am which is great!!! I finally get to sleep in a little!

Love your new photo Karlie! DD loves her brother heaps by the looks of it!! And happy 8 months Jake!!

Jacki - Happy 8 months to Luke too!!!

Jasper is 8 months now too and just went through a wonder week. It is amazing how much they can change going through a week like that. All of a sudden he stays up for 3 hours at a time (2 daysleeps), developed the pincher grip, is shuffling around 360 degrees and backwards; all those changes in a weeks time! He really has changed into a little boy in no time!
He also starts to like his solids; he has apple with his yoghurt now and yesterday I gave him a bread crust and he nearly ate all of it (except the last bit which got a bit small for him to hold) and then proceeded to pick up the little crumbs of the table with his thumb and forefinger! I couldn't believe my eyes!! My baby is growing up....

Hi to everyone else!!! I always lose track when we change threads.... Have a good day!!!

    Hey ladies,
    Happy Australia Day!
my DS has been on 2 feeds for a while now bf in the am and formula from his sippy cup at night - went on stike and decided he was 'way too busy' during the day to stop and have milk! i wasn't quite ready to wean yet, but i figure at least i stil get to bf him once a day. he won't take a bottle anymore...isn't it fummy how they change their minds - i tried so hard to get him to take a bottle of EBM so he could stay with my ma, and then he decided that he only wants his b.milk in a bottle and now he won't take the bottle at all..?!
have thought about taking him down to one sleep during the day, but he still seems to need that arvo nap - otherwise he is a major cranky pants...
i think i will start trying out some cows milk soon....
    sleep well all,

    Hi all!

Prama - Will he take a little water after his last feed? Just to get rid of the milk in his mouth? I am wanting to drop the morning feed at some stage, but at the moment he is so hungry when he wakes up that I can't even change his nappy first... So I am not sure what to do about that, maybe just wait a little longer.

Bun - LOL, only eating roast vegies; sunday roast at your place every day? I too decided to cut out the night feeds a couple of weeks ago. After a few grizzly nights, he decided to just sleep through, so certainly worth the effort! Jasper still needs two sleeps, so will have to wait with playgroup too. It was more for me than for him as I am getting a bit lonely atm (as you can tell from the no. of posts here ) But last week ran into a girl from our antenatal class and we decided we want to catch up at some stage, so see how we go.

Bronzdbebe - Welcome to the group! Your bub is only two days younger than Jasper. Birthdays coming up real soon... Have you started planning yet? I have been looking around for cake ideas, but haven't made up my mind. One of my partners nephews is intolerant to just about any artificial colour/flavour/preservative, so might have to skip the coloured icing... Thinking about a chocolate cake decorated with small plastic toys...

Kato - They certainly know what they want, don't they? Jasper doesn't want to finish his breaky until he had a couple of spoonfulls of mine; they might be little but they do know how to get their message across.

    Hi to everyone else!

good idea abt the water after the last feed. will do that.
