    Good Morning Girls,

how is everyone? It has been a bit quiet!
Congrats to NicW on her new baby girl!

My poor DD has croup. We went away for one night without the children on Saturday and she developed a cough by Sunday she was worse, I took her into work yesterday to see one of the Dr's and she is on steroids ( he he ) to reduce the inflammation. She has got a really husky voice, and the barky cough. Hopefuuly she will be better today. I have to work again this afternoon and then am off for a few days. DS1 also spent most of the night in our bed after a nightmare so I am a very tired Mummy.

Prama -- hope poopy is a bit better. He has had a rough trot poor little man.
Bun -- how did Thursday go???

    OK need more coffee
    Hello to everyone else

    Hi all,

Sue - Jasper has croup too... Same deal; went out Friday night, woke up Sat night with a barky cough. He was on steroids too and is a lot better now. It is a pity bubs tends to share every virus he gets with me, so I have been quite fluey for the last couple of days. Last night we had him in our bed for most of the night because he didn't want to get back to sleep because of teething... Know how you feel . We are going to Canberra to DP's S and BIL for Easter, quite looking forward to that.

Prama - Good to hear Poopy is so much better!!

    Time to get tea happening...

Hi girls, I have been so busy the last few weeks.

It's sad to hear you all had croup too. Jake had it 6 months ago and it took ages to shake. Every cold he got, even the small colds, he had a barking sound to his cough.

I have just had a photo party with 12 kids in the house at one time. Since then I have had a very sore shoulder blades from lifting kids. (inc my 15 kg son) i cant seem to shake it. Im just been so sore.

Has anyone been bed shopping? Im giving Tara's wooden sleigh bed to Jake, and getting her a new white bed. I have found two I like, but am finding it hard to pick between the two. I might post them on facebook. Maybe you guys could help me?

Sorry for the selfish post, but DS is calling already. I think he wants breakfast. This time change from daylight savings is causing us drama.

I LOVE ALL THE NEW PHOTO'S of the kids.

    Catch you

Thanks girls for the in put on the beds. I do loved the one at the bedbarn, but it would help to actually see the beds in person, not just off a piece of paper. Have you guys started looking at beds? I need Jake's cot for my sister in June, and it takes 6-8 weeks to get a bed in when ordered.

i thot he coudl stay in his cot till his 7.. lol..
he's too wriggly at this stage for a bed, maybe next year?
sometimes i wish i could get into teh cot w him, instead of having him in our bed when he wakes up at 5 or when he's sick. that way i can sleep better and not keep waking up to make sure the covers arent over him or we havent rolled on him...

What she didnt say...... was to click your user name with the dot becide it on you post. eg.. 2 Please. Then when it comes up with your profile, click on your mood setting on the top right corner. It should drop down and on the right hand have reset in small letters. If you dont understand give me a yell. It took me awhile to work out where to access you mood to change it.

    Hi all!!

Hope you all had a lovely easter and ate heaps of choccy! We are back in (BB) town! Had an absolute ball in Canberra with the whole family. Jasper just loved all the attention from his aunties, uncles, nanna and grandpa and he played really well with his five cousins. He travelled quite well, so I think we will be out and about a bit more often now.

Prama- Canberra is great; we went to the botanical gardens for a walk; just beautiful.

Jen - Congrats!! Hope you had a lovely day!

Karlie - How are your shoulders? I find that a trip to the physio usually clears it up for a while. Did you buy Tara's bed yet? Jasper is still way too wriggly for a bed. I tried putting a sheet and blanket in his cot, but the first thing he does is crawl from under it...

Sue - Did you get to go to the dinosaur exhibition? I can't wait to do all those things with Jasper. Hope you had a good easter.

    Have a good day everyone!

esme - glad you had a good time!! so nice, jasper is one lucky fellow!!
was looking at the website for canberra yest, yup, the botanical gardens look good. it will be nice to have a picnic, i hope it wont be too cold.

poopy's teh same, too wriggly, he often does a 180 in his cot, maybe 360, back to normal in the morning. ive gone in the middle of the night and seen him asleep facing the opposite side!

ooh the dinasaur exibition would have been great! same cant wait to do that w poopy. i want to go to the science exhibition in canberra too. it would be great if he could understand it..

i've put a couple of pix of poopy in his easter had on fb.. it was hard taking those pix and trying to keep the hat on!!

oh esme - how far is it fr your place to canberra? did you pack a lot of food for jasper?
it's 3 hrs for us, im thinking we should make several batches of stuff, just in case.

Prama - it is a four hour drive for us. We timed to leave when he was due for a sleep, so he slept for about 1.5 hours. I took some cheese diced up, some slices of raisin toast and a couple of jars of custard and a few cheap new toys. We had one nappy change stop with a bit of time for him to walk around and he was fine for most of the time. The way back was a bit different as he fell asleep straight away in the car, but we had to stop soon after for petrol and lunch for us, so he slept only 45 min. This wasn't quite enough after four days of not enough sleep and too much excitement, so he was quite cranky but didn't really crack it until the last 10 minutes of the trip. The Wiggles CD came in handy as it distracted him a couple of times, and extra stops to let him walk around. I also gave him his cuddlies when he was ready to sleep, so he just snuggled up and dropped off.

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted in so long - we ran out of internet quota so I have felt very out of the loop! I hope all had a great easter. We went to Melbourne for the weekend. Travelling really isn't the same with a baby but we had a good time anyway! We often make the trip to Melb with DD (a three hour drive) and usually try and time it around her nap time. The last time we drove to Melb DD slept almost the entire way but this time she refused to sleep at all! In fact, for the entire weekend she barely slept! I think she gets too excited with so many new things happening. On Sat we drove to Melb, spent the day out and about and finally drove to the hotel at 10pm and she was still partying on dancing in her car seat! Gees, I have no idea where this child gets her energy from.

prama - I usually bring lots of grapes for a long car trip, as well as biccies, cheese, a sandwich, milk and toys - basically as much as possible to keep her happy! I find even a short stop can help with a cranky bub. I also dance and sing in the car to distract her if she is really cranky, which, although embarrassing, does help!

esme - glad to hear you had a great time in Canberra. Sounds like Jasper was a very good little boy!

jen - congrats! I knew you were engaged but didn't know you were getting married on the weekend! I can't wait to hear all about it.

sue - thank you so much for the Twilight movie, I can't wait! Is it best to read the books first or watch the movie first? Did you end up going to the dinosaur museum?

sonya - how are you going?

karlie - did you find a bed? I don't think DD will ever be ready for a bed at the rate she's going - she just can't keep still!

esme - how is the weaning going? DD has decided to drop her before bed feed so we are now down to just one feed in the morning and occasionally one overnight if she wakes up. I hardly even have any milk left now. DH wants to start TTC#2 and since AF has not come back yet, he is keen for me to wean DD so we can start TTC#2. I am not sure if I am ready yet though. I think I will wait and see what happens and if DD drops the morning feed on her own, and then if she is still going at 18 mths and I still have no AF then I may start to cut the morning feed. It is so hard - in a way it will be great to have my body back but at the same time it feels so sad to wean her - she is not my baby anymore!!

bun - glad you had a good time in melb. yes, you pack so much more when you travel w a bub, and i for one, spend most of the time worrying abt poopy's food, play etc. more focused on him than relaxing and enjoying. yeah, and as they get older there's so much more to see and do, and they wont sleep no matter how exhausted they are!!
poopy's already starting to lie on the floor and cry but only for a few seconds, only cos there's other stuff he wants to do. tanties are coming soon!!
yes, I'll pack heaps of stuff, nibbles and jar stuff will make it easy.

how exciting to hear you are TTC-ing!!!
steve said the other day maybe have a baby next may.. but i dont think i want to yet. maybe later next year. im already so exhausted chasing after lakshman, cant imagine doing it when pg. not that it will make much difference next year when i'm 37!!
    this is sooo exciting!!!!
