bun - glad you had a good time in melb. yes, you pack so much more when you travel w a bub, and i for one, spend most of the time worrying abt poopy's food, play etc. more focused on him than relaxing and enjoying. yeah, and as they get older there's so much more to see and do, and they wont sleep no matter how exhausted they are!!
poopy's already starting to lie on the floor and cry but only for a few seconds, only cos there's other stuff he wants to do. tanties are coming soon!!
yes, I'll pack heaps of stuff, nibbles and jar stuff will make it easy.

how exciting to hear you are TTC-ing!!!
steve said the other day maybe have a baby next may.. but i dont think i want to yet. maybe later next year. im already so exhausted chasing after lakshman, cant imagine doing it when pg. not that it will make much difference next year when i'm 37!!
    this is sooo exciting!!!!

Bun - Jasper had his last bf on Sat night...boohoo... he refused that one, so I thought that might be a good start. Since then he has been having his sippy cup with water and a special book we read. He hasn't had any problems with weaning, but I do feel a bit sad. It will be nice to have my bb's/body back for a while and to get this breast lump sorted before we start ttc #2 (hopefully in Aug/Sep this year). It sounds like Catherine is a very energetic little girl! Does she get cranky at all when she is up for this long? Jasper starts to hit and throw hissy fits when he gets too tired.

when do you get the lump checkedout again, esme?
oohh i love jasper's new pix!! he's so handsome!

over the weekend, poopy was so tired and as soon as i cradled him to sleep, he would wriggle and fight and cry. and when i put him down, he has this big smile and wants to walk everywhere. pick him up againg and trashing himself in my arms, even steve's. he hit us in the throat very hard. finally i just held him so hard and patted his bottom and he fell asleep. he was all sweaty from the fighting.
gosh, so much more to come!!! doesnt help they are getting heavier and heavier, does it!

Prama - have to have an US two weeks after weaning and a follow up drs appointment to see what the next plan is going to be.
Jasper's new pic is in the botanical gardens in Canberra. He just couldn't get enough of the plants; he wanted to touch them all!
It is hard when they are overtired, isn't it? Jasper just screams and screams; the quickest way to get him to sleep is putting him in his cot and pat his bottom or rub his back, but sometimes he is so tired, he just keeps throwing himself around. If that is the case I just get him up for 5 to 10 mins and give him something to drink and try again...

i keep telling him that he can stay up and i will sleep but he doesnt seems say anything to it!

will be thinking of you when you have ur US.. xoxo

prama - we are not TTC yet, DH would just like to be! I would rather wait until Aug/Sept (same as Esme) and anyway, there is no way it would happen yet anyway with my body in hiatus!

esme - I am glad to hear that Jasper weaned without any trouble, but I can understand you feeling sad. I hope all is clear at the u/s. DD usually gets cranky if she is overtired and if we were at home she would be horrible if she were that tired, but when we are out somewhere different she is so interested in everything around her that she doesn't get cranky, she just keeps on going and going! I love the new pic of Jasper. I really should update my pic of DD one of these days.

    Good morning everyone,

We had a shocker of a night last night. DS1 up at 1am put back to bed. DD awake with temperature at 2am went back to sleep at 3am. DS2 up at 4am put back to bed. DD awake at 5.30 am back to sleep at 6.30am and DS1 & 2 up and ready to go at 7am. I am so tired

We also have a birthday party this afternoon at 2pm and now I don't know whether to wake DD up or not. GRRRR

Bun -- your disc is in the mail! I watched the movie first and then read the book. I liked the movie but enjoyed it more after i read the book. There is just so much more emotion in the book which doesn't come across as much in the first part of the movie. Still love it though.
We did go to the Museum and saw the Dinosaur exhibiton, DS1 loved it but DS2 got sick as we arrived with croup so he didn't enjoy the day at all. It was a good day though.

Prama -- love the Easter hat , Lakshman is so handsome.

Esme -- i too love your new pic.

    Have a good day
I am already up to my 2nd coffee of the day hoping it will kick in soon

Big Sue! Hopefully tonight is going to be better for you. In the meantime just keep up the coffee; wonderful stuff! I hear you on trying to coordinate sleep times with activities; for us it never quite works out the way I intended; hope you have more luck. Hope you enjoy the party. Love your new pic of Sophie; so cute!

Bun - How is Catherine going at DC? Is she adapting well? And how are you coping? Re Catherine taking the cheese of her sandwich; would she eat grilled cheese on toast? That would make it pretty hard to remove the cheese from the bread .

Nothing much happening here. Jasper is making the transition to 1 daysleep. We are enjoying getting out and about in the morning, but I have to say I miss my morning coffee/BB break (my chance to wake up properly). We are also enjoying our trips to the park, especially now the weather is so nice. He loves the swing and the slide.

That's it for now. Have a lovely day everyone!

    Hi girls,

Holly cow Sue, did you get to catch up with sleep last night?

Bun, If DH got his way all the time I would always be pregga's.

Esme, I wish Jake would sleep once a day. I feel every time I go out he's due for another sleep soon.

I bought the taylor bed from the bed barn. Its great. Tara's getting a new doona cover today. Its a Hiccups one called Gipsy dancer. Very very bright colours with dancing girls and bold flowers.

My shoulder is almost better. It still stuffs my sleep at night though.

Oops, Jakes smashing something again. His been chewing the wooden blinds, and putting teeth marks all over the joint.

    Ahhh, better go.

    Bye

Hi guys! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.

jen - how are you going? Are you back from your honeymoon?

karlie - he he, it's funny how clucky our DHs can get isn't it? I always assumed it would be me hassling him for kids but it is exactly the opposite! I would like a little time with my body to myself for a change - not being pg and not BFing, but I don't think DH understands! I think he just loves that DD runs up to him with her hands in the air wanting a big cuddle when he gets home from work every night and he pictures having lots of kids doing that!

esme - DC is still going real bad. She just screams the whole time I leave her. We are now just going in as often as possible for a play while I stay with her to build her confidence and we will then try leaving her again and will see how she goes. Sigh. Grilled cheese on toast works well with DD sometimes, but other times she won't even taste it - she is such a fussy eater!

sue - what a nightmare of a night you had! I hope you have caught up on some sleep now. I can't wait for the disc to arrive, yay! I think I will watch the movie first as I haven't had a chance to buy the books yet. How is DS2 now?

Our new house settles today and we can't wait to move in. We have had friends and their bub staying with us over the weekend and this house is just too small. The new place will be much better. We are getting the floorboards sanded and repolished over the next couple of days and move in on Thurs. Can't wait! We will have no phone and internet for the next few days so have a great week everyone if I don't get online again. Hopefully we will have the internet back soon or I will suffer some major BB withdrawals!

    quick one fr me..

esme - poopy has moved to the toddler room in dc now and they also do 1 sleep. he has been doing 1 big day sleep in dc for a while but does 2 small sleeps at home.

karlie - hope the shoulder pain goes away, have you gone for a massage?

bun - so sorry to hear abt DC. poopy cried at the start and i used to feel so horrid. he's adjusted now and he's very very happy there. there ar 2 brothers there, 2 and 3 who cry ever single morning. but the carers said after an hr or so they are happy and very settled and cry when they have to go home!

    Hi everyone!

    Very, very quiet in here...

Karlie - Good to hear your shoulder is better. It sounds like Jake is turning into a little beaver!

Bun - so sorry to hear Catherine finds it difficult to adjust to DC. Lucky you don't have to go to work just yet and have the chance to build up her confidence. I love your new pic; she is so cute! I wish we could get all the bubs together; would love to see them (and all the mums of course) in real life. I hope the move went ok and you are all settled in YOUR new place.

Prama - Glad to hear Poopy loves his DC now; makes it easier on you. How are you going atm? Feeling a bit better?

Lol, Jasper has started saying 'pa' for park now, he doesn't want to stay at home anymore he keeps asking to go to the park! This is going to be interesting with winter coming up. Might have to buy him a cubby/slide for the backyard, so he can go outside for short bursts when it is really cold. I don't think I would cope with him being inside all day...

Prama - Are you catching all the daycare germs too? Look after yourself, hun, stay in bed for as long as you can manage. Hope you feel better soon.
