Having computer troubles atm... Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will be on broadband... hopefully... Got spoilt for mothersday too; breaky in bed, a beautiful card and my present is that I can go bra shopping. Besides that, Jasper is changing quite a bit; trying to copy more and more words/sounds and moving so much faster and more confident. He is a real little man now. He had a cold last week and wasn't sleeping too well, but is sleeping a bit better now. Hopefully the next cold will stay away for a while. His is not as scared anymore of loud noises; I suspect it was caused by too many new activities in one week and being overtired. Sorry about the quick rambles and lack of personals, but I don't trust this computer at all.... just wanted to let you girls know that I am still around!
Everyone must be busy with their little people. They are certainly all changing and becoming independent little ones.
How is everyone?
Not much going on here. Amber is into everything and think she can do everything! She has a cold at the moment.
Oh I have some news to share..... AF was late (I have only had 1 since conceiving Amber) and I put it down to my cycle adjusting itself. So I took a HPT last week and after 5 minutes it was -. A week later still no AF and I looked in the bin to see the HPT was a +... So hmmm I think. I took another one on Sun night and the second line came up straight away. I am still getting my head around it all and we are not telling anyone until the right time. So ladies, please keep it under your hats!
yes, been quiet.. poopy is getting into everything and anything. and also doing really cute things like shaking his head up and down and left and right randomly...
Jen, OMG congrats! What fabulous news! Do you know how far along you are? You are making me all clucky too...
I love hearing about all the hand made gifts the mummies got for mothers day. I got a card with Catherine's foot print in it from day care.
sue - I have nearly finished reading the first Twilight book and I even have Dh reading them! He is a very fast reader so has finished them all already. Now I want to watch the movie again after I have finished the book! We went and bought DD some black patent leather shoes the other day and she looks so cute in them!
esme - how are you going? We are having a shocking run with colds at the moment - I thought DD was finally over one and now she seems to have caught another one already! She has been sleeping so badly, I haven't been able to get her down before midnight the last three nights. I also think she may be teething.
Does anything know what it feels like when they have molars coming through? DD has the biggest lump ever on her lower gum (basically the entire gum feels like a lump!) and she is clearly bothered by something and unable to sleep. It just seems so huge I am wondering if it is an infection or just a tooth?
We had a lovely time with my parents, it was a nice break for DH and I to get out. We went to the beach a couple of times and went out to dinner and a movie for the first time in ages! Mum and Dad loved spending time with DD and miss her so much. It makes me feel terrible for taking her away from them.
oh poor Catherine. We have had 1 molar come through here. They are a huge lump. I hope they come through soon. I actually have DD wearing one of those baltic amber teething necklaces. She's had it a few months. Dunno if it works or not but it looks cute on her and if they work then even better. She has teethed better with it. Coincidence?
I am guessing I am due mid Jan. Might need a dating scan though. Wasnt quite planned but ah well I guess I want 2 kids and a 2 year age gap will do!
I think I might have to start reading the twilight books. So many people I know are reading them. hmmmmm.
Now can someone else please join me in pg land. Surely one of you clucky girls.....
oh could you ladies I know on facebook please not mention anything on there... my mum is on there and I dont want family and friends to know until we are past the magical 12 weeks.
Hi girls, I have been pritty busy. I have just had a 10 year ann' wedding party, then I had my grand parents 60th wedding ann' party.
Jen, WAKKO! Congrats to you and new hubby. Is this a wedding gift to him? lol. Amber would be an awesome big sister. Be stuffed if Im jumping on the pregnancy wagon after the 11 pound son.lol
Bun, Jakes bottom back teeth are through, Im not looking forward to the top ones. How are you? Hows the new location treating you?
Esme, colds suck. DS is coughing about a handful of time during the day, and maybe a couple of times during the night. He has no cold symptoms but the cough, and the cough has been going on for 7 weeks. The doctor isnt writing off asthma. I hope it is the tale end of the cold from mid march.
Prama, How haved you been? Is work ok? The kids are sooo cute at this age. Lucky for Jake, otherwise I would get alot more angry when he busts all my stuff.
Sue, I got a cool card and a drawing of me for motherday. Its soo cute to get stuff made by the kids
Sorry I havent spoken too much in here, but I have been busy following up the doctors with Jakes cough. We are not sure yet, but we think Jake has asthma. They wont tell us untill his 2 years old. Sounds dumb hay.
Jen - sorry, but not just yet... Don't want a winter bub in this awfully cold house... Congrats on your new job; are you into winemaking or doing sales? We are in a wine producing area here too.
Bun - Yay for having your mum and dad over; so nice for all of you to catch up. I know how it makes you feel guilty to take them away from each other . I would love to have my mum around too. Hopefully the molars come through soon, I just wish all teeth would come at once, just to have it over and done with.
Karlie - Hopefully it is not asthma. Could he have been in contact with someone who had whooping cough? As that tends to be a cough that hangs around for quite a while, they call it the 100 day cough. Maybe because he is immunised he didn't get it full on IYKWIM... Hope it isn't bothering him too much.
As for us... had a shocking night the night before last; Jasper was constipated and absolutely screaming for three hours, poor bub. After a dose of Infants Friend I finally got him to sleep and lucky the IF had done its job by the morning. Lol, who would have thought we would still be using it at 15 months.
This morning we went to music class again. Jasper loves all the music and dancing. Afterwards he gets to play with all the toys and the other kids, so he is well and truly tuckered out by lunchtime and sleeps well... Spoken too soon, he's awake... BBL
esme - I've been meaning to ask how you are going too. That's funny about still using Infants Friend, I threw all that stuff out a while ago so I hope I don't end up needing it!
Sonya - where have you been???
jen - sorry, I won't be joining you in pg land quite yet, but hopefully not too far in the future either! It seems that DD has weaned herself and hasn't had a BF in three days now, so hopefully AF will come back soon as I would like to start TTC#2 maybe in Aug? Congrats on the new job. How are you feeling?
karlie - good to hear from you. My nephew is 2 1/2 and the drs are still not sure if he has asthma or not - seems to take a long time to be sure! I hope Jake doesn't have it.
Looks like we are heading back to Perth for another visit soon. DH has to go to Houston for a couple of weeks so I may head home and stay with my parents for some of the time he is away. I feel like I am always going back and forth right when I am getting settled here, but Mum and Dad are hassling me to go back while DH is away and I must admit, it will be much easier having someone around to help with DD as I don't know many people here yet. DD is being a nightmare atm, sleeping badly and is still sick. She has had a cold for over 2 weeks now the poor thing and this molar certainly isn't helping either. Oh what I would do for a good nights sleep!
bun - i dont remember what a good night's sleep is anymore...
i hope you'll have a good time in perth and catherine gets better. will it be warmer in perth.
karlie - sorry to hear that.. sometimes asthma goes away doesnt it?
jj - we prob start ttc end of the year/early next year.
Hi Prama and Bun, thanks for asking! Things are looking really good here. Last US a couple of weeks ago showed absolutely nothing!!!!! It looks like it is all gone. Have to have another US roundabout Aug to be absolutely sure before we start TTC again, but it looks like I've got the all clear. So very happy, I can't believe I forgot to let you girls know ...
Bun - beware of first AF after weaning... she was a monster for me. I was so moody and cranky for a couple of days before AF . Hopefully this one will be slightly easier...Hope it won't be the same for you! Sorry to hear that Catherine doesn't sleep real well, it makes it so difficult for them to sleep well with a stuffy/runny nose. I put some euky bear rub on Jasper's feet with socks over the top when he had a cold last week, it seems to help him breath a bit better. Hope you get a better night sleep soon!
Prama - Same for you hun. Is poopy feeling a bit better now or is he still getting everything that goes around at DC? It's got to be so tough when you got to go to work the next day after a bad night.
we havent been so good, some of you may hve seen my fb posts.. my mum in malaysia was in hossy, now back at home. they suspect a mild heart attack. now poopy's been having high fevers, spiking at 40deg the last couple of days. we;ve been to hossy twice. just giving him panadol and neurofen... one moment he's happy as larry and the next he's hot as hot.. poor bubba...
xoxox talk soon, going to bed. we all havent slept in 2 days
Hi Everyone......Remember Me?? I'm the slack BB friend that has not been popping in to check on her friends.........I'm soooo sorry.
Ok Just been checking up on some of the last pages and OMG CONGRATULATIONS Jen double whamy, wedding and another belly baby, I'm so happy for you both, that is truely lovely news..how exciting. Wow I have the hugest smile on my face that news has just made my night.
Prama, hunni, I'm so sorry to hear how sick you guys have been and about your Mum, you must be worried sick. I hope everything starts to look abit better for you soon, hun but in the meantime big hugs and sleepy vibes to all of you.
Esme, thats great news about the US, you must be sooo relived.
Sonya - yay, great to hear from you! I was starting to wonder about you! How have you been?
prama - so sorry to hear about your mum and how sick Poopy has been. I hope they get better soon. You must be exhausted looking after Poopy and worrying about your mum. Big coming your way. Look after yourself sweetie.
esme - thanks for the warning about AF! I am wondering when it will return?? Surely soon now. DD is funny, while she has weaned herself, if she ever sees my bbs she makes this funny coughing noise that she always used to make when she wanted a feed, so I let her have a suck but then she gets distracted and wonders off after a few seconds. She doesn't seem to know what she wants! I am so glad to hear that your us was clear, what a relief!
sue - how are you going?
DD was a little nightmare last night. She was up from 11pm to 2.30am and then up for the day at 7.30 and I am buggered! The molar has come through and her cold is pretty much gone now, so I don't know what the problem is. DH leaves tomorrow and we will be on our own for a couple of days before we head over to Perth. I am dreading the trip - 3 hrs on the train, then skybus to the airport, then the flight to Perth, the entire trip will take around 10 hrs all up and all on my own with a 1 yr old! Argh!!!!!
Sonya - Good to see you back! Was wondering where you were. How are the swimming lessons?
Bun - Hope AF returns soon for you, just to put your mind at ease. I got AF back when Jasper was 2 months, was irregular for quite a while but has been regular again for some time. AF again today and happy to say that I am feeling a lot better than last month... So hopefully it was just a one off.
I think your DD remembers all the nice drinks and cuddles when she sees your bbs! Jasper has never looked back, forgot all about them. His sippy cup with milk is more important.
Wishing you all the best for your trip to Perth! Maybe you can buy one of those leash backpacks so she can wander around but not get lost IFKWIM? Might give your back a break...
Prama - How is your mum? Have they done an angiogram (sp?) or anything like that to find out what caused it? And how is Poopy? Hope his fever has gone down. Thinking of you.
As for us; I have to start watching what I say/do. Our dogs occasionally dig in the backyard and if they do, I go crook on them (growling) while i refill the hole with my foot. Lol, yesterday Jasper was growling at the mutts when he discovered a hole in the garden and he attempted he fill it with his foot; so funny! Will have to be very careful now....
thanks for all your thoughts, poopy is heaps better, not 100% but heaps heaps better.
he now insists when we are out and abt that he wants to walk by himself and not hold our hands.. im going to get one of those harness things. dont want him running around esp when out in the streets.
hope you are all well. im so tired, plus steve's away.. lots of love..
i was going to say something else but have forgotten
