Soph - glad to hear you finally have some answers! you must be so relieved - did you end up going to RCH or just to your GP?

Ren: - i think it will be fine for Ava as it is very long and width wise even if she is lean at least she will have room to grow outward

Re the routine, i will PM you the details, but yes, i took the basis of it from another BB member who replied to my other thread and I altered it to accommodate Ella

    Hey all,

Been a bit busy lately so been reading but not replying

Soph: Glad you finally got some answers

Ren Mel and Ella: Been having a sigh of relief reading your posts that R isn't the only one doing all that stuff although the last couple of days have been better.

We've been having refusal to feed issues for a couple of weeks as well as a return to 3 hour wake ups and catnapping and i've had no idea whats been going on R is a 3 min feeder in the first place so when he flat out refuses gets me anxious...

Glad to say though he's started getting a bit better during the day and last night was the first night in weeks i got 2x5 hour blocks of sleep yay!!!!. I'm also trying to resettle him for day sleeps now. It never worked when he was younger but the last couple of days have been good will let you know after a week or so how its going

Hope everyone has a great mothers day this sunday if i don't get back i already got my present some nice warm pj's (boring but sooooo needed)

Oh ordered an ergo sport as well as R getting a little heavy for the HAB for long periods

Gotta go resettle DD... she's just woken.... damn! I was going to do some housework!

Ren: Congrats on Ava rolling!! - Ella is lazy she gets half way then cracks it cause she gets stuck! -
As for the hair falling out, i actually went an chopped off my hair into a nice easy manageable bob ( my hair was just past my bra strap) - my hairdresser asked me when was the last time i had it cut and i told her it was before i even fell pg with Ella! - She said no wonder there is so much hair and she thinned it right out so its much easier to manage now

Runner: the Grobags are expensive to by retail, however, i got a brand new one (in bag with tags 6-18mth 2.5 tog) from ebay for $55.00 (plus $10 postage so $65 in total)! have a look as there are heaps on there

Dis - i know what you mean about your bubba not being little - Ella is the same, she was never really tiny and now she's 63cm and 7kg soooo not a bubba bubba anymore!

Well I've figured out what's wrong with Jared. My milk has changed again. It happened at 6 weeks and he was a little spewing with his burping and now it's the same. His poo is a bit thicker too. I'm glad I know what it is It should only last a little while longer too

Ellabear, Jared didn't start off too big, but he's made up for it. He was last weighed and measured over a month ago and he was 7.3kgs and 63cms then. My last community nurse (with Ben) said that I must have cream in my milk

Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Mothers Day tomorrow! DD did a beautiful painting and made me some bright pink cupcakes at daycare yesterday....got to love it! Mothers Day is a great day but it seems a little more special this year now we have Dash. Also, DD has just starting understanding present giving and celebrations, so to see her little face light up brings a tear to my eyes. Enjoy your special day, Mums!

    xx

PS: It seems that Dash has cut a double tooth, well the corner of one side! OMG I know...that just seems so backward he he. It will probably go back down though since only part of it has come up. The only symptoms he had was a little cheek flushing. I remember rubbing Bonjela on DD's bottom gum when she was teething, only to have her top teeth come through first....I felt soooo bad! Dash still doesn't roll over but I am not too worried. I know for sure that he would have by now if he got more floor time, but with reflux it is hard for him to have floor time....he either ends up face down in vomit, gargling on vomit, or with severe reflux because he is lying flat, poor mite. DD was running at 9.5months so felt a bit ripped off. I am happy for my last baby to take his time (selfish I know he he). HAPPY 4 MONTHS to Dash for Monday!!!

Morning girls!!! Just realised i havent posted in here for a few days!

Today is exactly a YEAR TO THE DATE we found out we were pregnant with Ava!!! WOW it's gone soooo fast..... I just noticed the belly buddies group 16-31jan 2010 is up now too!! Can you believe that was us a year ago?!?!?!? OMG...

Hope everyone is well and all your little bub's are going well. Ava was lying on her tummy this morning and picked up a toy that was in front of her, first time she's done that! Very proud of her. She's picked up toys when on her back but not her tummy so that's a first

We ordered some Green Kids nappies last night!! Got four of them can't wait to get them!! Some pretty patterns! And also two more Happy heinys arrived last week! We are full time cloth now

We have our ABA meeting today so looking forward to that. That's this morning.
Hope to catch up on personals later this arvo.

Orange, OMG, what a little champ Dash is! Jared has still shown no real signs of rolling over! Ben rolled front to back at 11 weeks, but NEVER rolled back to front. Seriously, not until he was well and truly up and walking, well over a year old did he roll over. Strange child that one
I know what you mean about slowing down and being a baby. I've already told Jared that he's growing far too fast for mummy's liking They have plenty of time to be all grown up later!
Glad to hear Dash is doing better now that he's having some solid food. I'm not looking forward to going through all that again! Cooking, mashing etc, etc. I'm far too lazy for that!

Ren, good to hear from you again. Well done little Ava Jared is far more interested in toys than Ben was at this age and loves to pick them up, play with them and put them in his mouth. Ben never put stuff in his mouth!

Oh, gotta go, my little man is just waking up. He had a good night last night, only waking up once. I think we might finally be getting back into a routine after hospital!

Well, they are both sleeping nicely now. I have had over an hour on the Wii Fit and managed to get dinner on too - wonderful!

Jared has decided he will no longer take EBM from a bottle. I'm going to try again and then try it from a cup. It basically means I'm chained to him for at least the next two months. I really wanted to go to see Angels and Demons too On Saturday night I went to the footy and got a frantic call from DH halfway through the third quarter telling me Jared had refused the bottle and was screaming. I rushed home (took me an hour) and he was still screaming his little heart out. Poor DH! As soon as he saw me he started to whimper (Jared not DH!) and then I thought he might cause some serious damage with the force he was sucking with! Little bugger. Anyway, it isn't forever. Just a bit of a pain, especially since I had to throw out over a quarter of a litre of EBM

Jared is so keen to sit up. We all have playtime on our bed each night and have Jared sitting up supported with a boomerang pillow. He does situp thingys to try and sit up by himself. Crazy child! I can't believe he's four months old tomorrow!!!! Where has that time gone?

Dis - Have you tried a different bottle? You might remember I had the same problem a little while ago. On Ren and another friend's suggetsion I switched to Pigeon bottles and they work a treat!

Gotta go, little man is crying. Time to resettle!

YAY!!!! Ava is 4 months old today!!!!! I've been breastfeeding for 4 months!! It's a huge achievement for me considering at 4 weeks I never thought I'd still be doing it now... with all the problems we encountered in the first 8 weeks.... low weight gains, low milk supply, bad attachment, damaged nipples, expressing, top up feeds etc.... we have done so very well to be still going!!! I am giving myself a clap!!! AND.... we don't top her up anymore either!!!

How is everyone going? We've been quite....

Runner - haha I saw the peg as i got in the car !!! haha.... you know what? I now have a few pegs attached to my pram for when i use her muslin wraps over the stroller hehe and we went and bought a pram shade thingy like you had.... i don't know why i didnt buy one earlier!
Dis - thank you! I'll look up that website! Sounds great.
Ella - yay for Ella rolling!!! thats awesome!! Ava has rolled once but not since! hehe she is too busy chatting away and making all her noises from her mouth! she is working on her baby chatter hehe. won't be long though she is very strong. she thinks shes very clever now that she can squeal to get my attention LOL

Ava slept from 7pm til 2am last night!!! then fed at 2am and went back down until 7am!!! I was so happy with that.... definiteily getting more sleep these days which is great and her day sleeps have improved a bit too!!
