All good here. I had my MIL arrive on Thursday night. She was ment to fly home last night but Jetstar screwed up her ticket so she had to fly home on a 7am flight today with Virgin...was great to have her an extra night though!
Sickness....Chelsea vomited all over her bed and carpet last night.....now today Jasmine is sick with a cold... that Zachery doesnt get it now.
He was soooo wingey last night i had ti give his last feed at 930pm....i knew he'd wake early...i was thinking maybe 5/6am instead of the usual 7am...but nope...345am!!!!
Craig had to get up at 430 to take his mum to the airport but he got an earlier wake up!
Anyhow, Zach was back to sleep by 5am and only just woke again at 11am
I feel horrible and feel im getting sick now too
Deb thats not good about the anxiety, maybe some meds or even talking to some one will help you deal with it a bit?
Deb I posted a big post last night but I lost it, bummer! You can get your GP to put you on the same program I am on. Its through Medicare and they pay for I think 12 visits to a physcologist (sp?). Anyway there is no harm in asking. You usually have to fill out a few questions to see if you qualify or not but its easy. Well worth a try, what have you got to loose. I am actually starting to feel a lot more in control more than I ever have. Which makes me wonder if I should have been on these meds a while back. I haven't had a panic attack in a few weeks now and that seems to be making JD happier also as they can pick up on our moods.
Anyway, I am off to the gym soon so better get ready. Take care girls.
Sorry ladies that i have not been posting - so busy as you can understand - at the end of the day I look around the house and it looks like I have not done a thing and yet have been flat out. April doing well - for the 3 nights before last she slept 6 hrs straight, then 6 hrs and then 8 hrs. Last night she woke up at 1.30am tho so Im not getting too excited just yet. But I think last night I should have gotten her up at 10.30pm just for a feed to get her thru the night - work in progress anyway. It's DS that's pretty much driving me around the bend at the moment - boy I hope this stage passes quickly. I read your posts when I can. Love to you all and to your beautiful babies. Would love to have a catch-up if you guys were planning one.
Paula I know how u feel with ur DS, its Charlotte that drives me crazy here! Harley is a pretty good baby, just like his sister was, but now shes 2.5 and boy its just nuts!! But still I love her heaps!
Amanda: thanks for that info, will bring it up to the doctor when I see him hopefully this Sunday! I just wanna feel sane again lol! But I guess it comes with the job lol
I'll keep u posted to how I go... I've felt a bit better the past couple of days, but yeh anything seems to set me off!!!
I've got my sister, her hubby and kids staying with me till Saturday so hopefully it goes well...will be interesting seeing how my niece and Charlotte go!
I had Harley sleeping 6 hours last night, been giving him dreamfeeds at night cos he seems to be out to it by 6pm and I just dont think he would sleep thru as good, so dream fed him around 10.30 and he went thru till 5am! Couldn't be happier atm!
We got Larissa to sleep between 9pm and 8am! She's just getting more perfect everyday!! We sent off for her aussie and uk passports today, hopefully theyll come back soon. Not really much else to say apart from shes spewing a lot at the moment so the doc has asked us to get a urine sample for her to check if its a urine infection and i have to have an ultrasound done to see if theres a reason why i'm still bleeding.
Amanda, I can't believe at 5.45 you were getting ready to go to the gym! You are amazing!!!
The mental health nurse who figured out that I had PND organised a pram walk with another couple of mums with PND. Today we meet up and had a lovely walk around some lakes and bush land and then had a coffee and chatted. It was only me and one other mum this time as the other mum was hospitalised again as she has PND very badly. It was great to go for a good work out and worked up a sweat. We are going to meet up again next Wednesday and do it again and hopefully we will do it every week. I am getting more confident with taking JD out and about now. But I still need to settle him in the sling before putting him in his pram.
I am going to attempt to do the grocery shopping with him tomorrow when my mum comes over. Cross fingers that goes well. I explained to the nurse that I am still anxious about JD crying but now mainly when he does it in front of other people and especially at Mothers Group. She explained that if I dont start getting JD used to settling with other people like family and child care workers etc then he will have a very hard time when it comes to going to day care and school and its not fair on him and it will end up causing him to be an anxious child especially when I am not around. Well that really spoke to me and now I am going to try and make sure that I do that more often.
Well I better go and make my dinner. JD self settled again this afternoon so I pray he sleeps till 8ish when he is due for his shower and bottle. I am getting a lot of smiles and cooing out of him when he is awake now, I find I am not getting anything done cause I just want to sit and play with him. Which reminds me I better empty the dishwasher. See ya lovely mummies.
Kim - Sorry to hear that your household is sick again. I hope that it goes quickly & that you're all back on the mend soon. Patrick has a cough, but nothing too bad thank goodness.
Amanda - it's great to hear that you little man is starting to get better and not in so much pain as he was before. It helps to have a happy baby when you're suffering from PND. Helps you to cope better on the bad days I find. I've had Judd on Gaviscon Infant and ran out. Well I found out today how much that has helped him with his spewing. It's been down my top, all over his cot and the floor! So I shot out this evening and got 2 boxes from the chemist to make sure I don't run out again!
Deb - I think that Amanda's suggestion was perfect. I too used the new psychologist medicare system last March when my depression came back, AND I am still medicated. It's called a mental health assessment. Best thing you can do for yourself chick!
AFM - madly moving furniture to get the house painted. Going all Antique white throughout, so Kim it will look v different next time you come over!! Taking Judd to Dr tomorrow as I think he has a hernia in his belly button of all places! I've read up on it and apparently it's common and can be left alone until they are 5. Will see what they say tomorrow as I think he has discomfort with it.
