Kirsten i promise you Ryley WILL sleep through....just when im not sure, all babies are different. Chelsea started around 9 weeks old....Jasmine was about 6 weeks...and Zach..yeah he was nice and early..about 3 weeks. For your sake i hope it is soon.

FYI.....5 hours is classed as sleeping through for a baby

Kirsten like Kim has said, 5 hours is classed as sleeping through. Please dont be worried..babies have little tummies so get hungry! Its completely normal to be waking during the night. Ruby is my first out of 5 to actually do a 5 hour stretch...its completely new for me! Little Ryley is doing just fine and you are doing a wonderful job!

Kirsten what we have been doing with JD is he usually has a fed at around 4ish then sleeps through till 8ish then we feed him again then and he has his shower etc and then at midnight we give him a dream feed even if he is still asleep he gets another bottle and that will usually take him till 7ish. Sometimes he drinks all the dream feed and some times he leaves a bit. But he can cry out at about 4ish for his dummy. His eyes are still closed and so I know he is not awake he just wants his dummy.

I don't know if that helps you but I thought I would mention it. The nurse told me about the dream feed and also I read it in a book called 'Save our sleep'. This book has some great ideas that you can follow and focuses more on a routine based feeding which I like cause I know I can work around JD's feeds instead of guessing when he is hungry. I also keep a small notebook that I write in every day what time he fed, did he poo, what medicine he got and how he settled etc. It helps me to look back and see that he is improving and also I forget when he has his last feed and always go back to my book.

6am is Zachs new wake up time...not 7am anymore. Its a bit hard on the eyes....but thats ok...DLS ends at the end of the month so it will be back til 7am then...LOL
