Oh PS again...
Jen and Tiff (only excluding the rest of you because you're too far away... unless you come down for a weekend, Jess), I'm going to do a St John Ambulance first aid thingy for kids. It's run on a Sunday morning in the city from 9am to 1pm. It costs about $125. Are either of you interested in doing it? No hurry. :)
-
I miss 'quick reply' :(
Let me see if I can remember what I wanted to say here...
Jen, I have been topping up Scally with formula - don't feel bad!! She sleeps/settles much better with a top up, & she only needs it once or twice in the day. I WAS concerned that doing this would mean that I would decrease my milk supply as the constant nursing is to increase it for when they need more but I am fine with the idea now. A couple of my belly buddies are fulltime ff & they are all really happy, don't think I'll give bf the flick entirely just yet as I enjoy the closeness but don't mind the idea of comp feeding & she is just so much more satisfied after a formula feed. Whatever you decide to do, do not feel guilty no matter what anybody says... happy mum = happy bub & you will do what you think is right.
Kate, you can get those old school bouncer looking things from babies galore but they're expensive, can't remember the price exacty but I remember thinking you'd want it to take the baby for a walk too for the price.
I can't remember who it was that said their baby will have tummy time for ages but Scally would scream the house down if I tried to leave her on her tummy for... oh, I don't know... more than a minute?!
Awfull day yesterday, woke up @ 1am with a sore & swollen right breast, long story short I was awake from then & at the doctor first thing, t'was early mastitis oohparently... I totally blame my messing around with expressing not knowing what I was doing so I'm not doing it anymore!! Freakin Ouch!! Had to get a nipple shield which was weird but it worked so that was good. Felt sooooooooo crappy yesterday but much better today. Isn't having a new bub & bf hard enough without all these extra issues?! I swore I was weaning asap yesterday, it hurt that much but have had a change of heart today.
Was having such a fun time playing with Scally earlier that I almost missed her 'window' for sleep... got her changed & wrapped quick smart!!
Was it Jess talking about keeping bubs awake so they sleep at night...?? Don't do it!! I haven't intentionally kept Scarlett up but if she's up for ages anyway she just gets grumpier & grumpier & it's harder to get her to sleep at all even if she's exhausted.
Better go check out what is for dinner, hope everyone has a good evening.
PS, so jealous of all of you in brisvegas getting to meet up... I'm all alone here!!
-
QM - I heard those old school bouncers were really expensive. What a shame! I'll have a look around and see what I can find. Also, it was me talking about leaving Billy on his tummy - well, Jo said she can leave Sophie there for 45 minutes - my little man would be like your Scarlett and screams the joint down if I leave him there for more than about 40 seconds! Glad you're feeling better today too. Lucky you caught it.
As for the bf and ff, I'm doing the whole expressing bullsh*t at the moment. It's annoying me. Sure, I could drag the pump around with me when I go out and just say to the people I'm visiting, "oh, excuse me, can I use a power point to plug my milking machine in?" but I just can't. I was just expressing before and thought to myself have I really made a big effort - like Nik has? Maybe not. Maybe for the next week I will make sure I'm home when 4 hours rolls around so I can express after every feed and see if that makes a difference. Let me tell you though, if I don't start getting more than 90ml AFTER A WHOLE DAY OF EXPRESSING... It's getting the as* and I'm going fully onto formula.
Right. Ranting over now...
What can I buy on the net? ;)
-
ps. QM, I want quick reply back too...
-
ATT: Nik (and any other formula feeders)
I have swapped from S26 to the NAN HA1 - it's FANTASTIC! He isn't so congested sounding at night, FAR less windy and much more settled. It's only been 1.5 days and I'm noticing it already.
Just wanted to share...
I'll say goodnight. Is quiet here tonight. I hope that means you're all sleeping.
x
ps. Mary, glad your group went ok.
-
i want the quick reply back too.
hey with that window do others put their babies down when drowsy? amber would not sleep if i did that.
i am persevering with the bf for now. i reckon my supply is good enough but it will mean more frequent feeds...big girl to feed.
nah kate i'm not asleep yet. touch wood i have just put amber down. hopefully she is in a deep enough sleep. she hates her bath. she will scream through it all. might try the lavender oil though.
qm- bummer on the mastitis. i am glad you got it early though.
jess- jaylen sounds so good. i am still too cautious to take amber out. we have to on monday as we have a physio appointment at the hospital for my tear.
kate- i could be interested in the course. not for a bit though.
well i just put the girl down so i might go to bed now and hope she has a good sleep.
good night all
-
Hey what is this, a conspiracy?! When I can't make it on for a day or two there are a zillion posts to catch up on, but when I can visit twice in one day, everybody is awol?!!!
Atleast there isn't too much to catch up on!!
Kate, I was really wanting to express & give Scally ebm instead of formula when she needed top ups etc but like you I was getting bugger all when I tried, not to mention the mastits thing which I'm sure had something to do with the pumping so I've officially given it the @ss.
Jen, have you tried her in the shower instead of giving her a bath?? Sometimes Scally is SCREAMING & trying to give her a bath would just make it worse but she loves a cuddle in the shower. Just an idea to try, honestly I can't believe how much Scarlett enjoys the shower, she loves it with either DP or me & looks too cute into the bargain.
Well, I'll try to make it back tomorrow & keep up this keeping up business!!
-
kate - oh i neeeed to go shopping on ebay again, cant wait to get the baby money :p !! i need to buy a musical mobile thing, Jaylen liked music in the nursery in the hospital... found a fisher price on at kmart yesti but it was $80! all that kinda stuff is cheaper on ebay so i might have a look....
queenmab - yer that was me lol! yer i think me and Jaylen have got used to each other now LOL and i will just let him eat and sleep when he likes! i havent tried putting Jaylen on his tummy, he likes being on his tummy on my chest so he might like it on a playgym thing!
jen - u will be able to take amber out soon! i didnt take Jaylen out for a little while, was too scared hehe... but yer he loves going around in the pram now! im still going good with breastfeeding too, only hurts sometimes when he attaches... but not that bad, and i have quiteeee enough milk lol
well Jaylen was good as last night, didnt really have an unsettled time like he usually does, he slept on me after feeds in the early part of the night (like 7pm) so maybe thats the trick... and he only woke up at 2.30am and 7am to feed!
well just got up to have brekkie, might go back to bed for a nap since Jaylens sleeping :) !!
hope everyone got some sleep and has a good day! im heading out again today, mum has to do easter egg shopping for the pub commitee thing shes in LOL...then mum and her dp play darts so taking Jaylen for a bit to show him off hehe!
-
Morning!
Jen :hugs: to you, you are having a frustrating time of it. We have all been there and all still go there on days!
I read some really good advice on the australian breastfeeding assoc, website about feeding and unsettled times- particularly for the evening time, but would be relevant anytime. DId not wrapping her work? Addy needs to be wrapped to have a really good sleep, and Jess is right it takes them awhile to fully fall asleep. Their 'startle' reflex (why they throw their arms and scare themselves), settles down eventually, and its why they sleep better wrapped in the meantime. Its so frustrating when they wake up 10 mins after going down.
Have you tried a sling or carrier? Addy falls asleep in hers and I just leave her there to sleep- had a 2 hour nap yesterday while I did other stuff!
Anyway, hope you have a better day today. I say the first 2 weeks were by far the hardest and you are halfway there! Keep up the goodwork.:)
Hi to everyone else. Going to look for another pram today. I have the Beema Q 3 wheeler and it takes up so much room in the boot, or on its side it takes up less room, but falls over all the time. It aslo so heavy and big. I want a lighter pram to keep in the car, take in /out for shope etc. Will use the 3 wheeler for all our walks and outings. Going to chesck out the 'mamas and papas' prams at babies galore today weigh only 6-7 kg instead of 11-12 kg for the beema q!
-
Hi Mary- Amber will doze for a long time before falling deep asleep. She will get herself out of her wrap if I put her down during this time.
I have a baby bjorn carrier but she is not quite ready i reckon to go into it. i might look into a sling.
Good luck with prams. You can test drive Addy in it!
Jess- We only sent our forms off on Monday for the baby bonus so we will be in for a bit of a wait i guess. Did your hospital put Jaylen in the nursery when you tried to sleep? I had Amber in the room with me 24/7
Kate- dont go crazy spending the baby bonus!
The maternal health nurse is coming out tomorrow.
Hey what do people do for wind? I think Amber has wind. I try and burp her but she only burps every now and then. It may be a reason why she is unsettled?
Another question is about wraps. How do people wrap their babies? I have Amber in 2 wraps right now. She is wearing a singlet, nappy, muslin wrap and a cotton one. Her skin is warm enough and so is her room.
QM- might try the shower next time. She just hates the bath.
-
jen - yer i only sent the forms off yesti, so god only knows how long it will be...
sometimes i think Jaylen has wind too but he only burps sometimes too, i find if i put him on his tummy on my chest and kinda lift his knees up it helps him fart hehe!
yer if i couldnt get Jaylen settled in the hospital i would take him to the nursery so i could get some sleep, one night i spent like 4 hours trying to settle him and i was getting really upset so i took him up there, he always settled straight away in there! i felt bad putting him in there but i needed sleep and my milk wasnt in at that time so he wasnt really going to settle...
god Jaylens been good 2day, ive managed to have brekkie AND lunch, have a shower, and get ready ect! wow hehe
-
Jackson has become a bit windy towards the evening we currently us Infants Friend but used to use with Cara Infacol. May go back to that one soon. Then there is a more natural one too by Brauer (sp?). We also wrap Jackson too but not too tight & we always leave his arms free otherwise it would drive him nutso!! LOL.
Mary - Glad to hear your Mums Group went well ! I always enjoy going to mine though I haven't been in a few weeks. Just went back again yesterday & talked up a storm,LOL. Think I gave them all h/aches!! Did you like the general feel of it? Surprised to hear that it isn't mire organised... Maybe you can host one of the meets? We usually mix it a bit with ours just for a change of scenery now & then:)
-
Ok while Sophies sleeping before her next feed i'm going to try and catch up with you guys and do some personals :D.Sorry i didnt check in yesterday, was spending "quality" time with the family before they go home on Saturday/Sunday. My older sister is coming up sometime around March 4th staying with a friend thats going to the theme parks so woohoo!!. So for just over a week it will be just the 3 of us and after that it should be just Chris, Sophie & I for a while unless any more family are visiting that havent said yet.
Went and got Sophie weighed this morning and shes put on 160g from last thursday little porker!!, the lady forgot to measure her but i figure if shes putting on weight shes growning in cm's. The health nurse today was REALLY pushing me to breast feed as apparently what i've been doing isnt right in her book but hey its worked so far & Sophies been getting enough its only been the last 2 nights and she said she might have a bit of thrush on her tongue & her weepy eye was a bit yuck only because i forgot to clean it before we left home. If my milk is going then its going, and ill put Sophie on formula full time it doesnt bother me, shes been getting boobie juice for 4 weeks so thats something.
The jewellery store rang yesterday morning while i was feeding Sophie to say my ring was back from being re-sized  so we went and picked it up and OMG its more gorgeous than i remember!!, i took a picture at 4am and put it into the my gallery if anyone wants to have a sticky beak ;), its a princess cut that has 4 diamonds in it and then has 5 smaller diamonds either side of that.
Jess- they say 28days for the baby bonus to be paid depends how many they have to process as to how long it takes. Hopefully it wont take too long.
Jen- Sophie has bad wind 2 nights ago and try as i might i couldnt get rid of it and once shed farted/burped she settled and went to sleep. The last 2 nights i've had to supplement 1 feed with formula as i didnt have enough which is fine by me. Oh i understand that Amber hasnt been on her tummy as yet shes only a week old, we didnt try Sophie on her tummy until she was 3weeks. I know i couldnt believe my luck that Sophie sleeps well, tell Amber that she should co-operate and sleep when mummy says too and she'll be rewarded bribery still works with kids doesnt it?...... haha
Kate- ive been giving Sophie s26 gold when ive had to top her up and so far it isnt affecting her, i only bought the box with 6 sachets in it incase she had a reaction so if she goes well on the s26 gold i'll buy a tin. BILLY & SOPHIE ARE 4 WEEKS OLD!!!. Havent heard from Maz, i seen her talking in the Sept 06 baby buddies but it was a brief post.
JESUS i'm doing a Kate ;) writing a chapter for a novel
Well i hope everyone got some form of sleep last night, we went to bed about 10.30pm and got up at 3am and then went back to bed at 4.30am after Sophie had fallen asleep and then we got up at 7am but Sophie didnt wake up until about 8.30am for her feed.
I think i got everyone if i missed anyone im sorry ill catch you next time.
-
Hi ladies,
Kate - it sounds like you have tried DAM'N hard to get this breast feeding thing organised. Don't worry about giving up expressing. I've got baby brain...i can't remember whether you said you were on Maxalon or anything. If you want to try one more thing, see if you can go to a health food shop or naturopath and ask for Chaste Tree (or berries) tablets or Fenugreek. I went to a naturopath and she's given me a tonic with about four herbs in it and it seemed to bring my milk in. It took about a week but it did work. It's still working to a degree now even though I've stopped expressing since Sunday. I'm just letting Amy drink from bbs for ten minutes per side (although she doesn't like my right boo'b) and then topping her up with whatever amount of formula she wants. It seems to be working. I just take the bottle with me when I go out. It's not too bad. Seriously, I think you've tried hard enough. Don't beat yourself up over it. I'm going to try with my bb's until they give up now and continue with the top ups. If you do give expressing the flick make sure you wean yourself off one express per day. No one will judge you if you go to formula. I'm pretty close. I'm just letting Amy wean herself off my bbs pretty much cos I doubt the milk will last much longer.
As for Amy and I, we went to the clinic and she had put on 205g in six days so I'm no longer worried about her weight. things are going really well. And on that stupid chart, she's between the centre line and the one just below it so really I have nothing to worry about!! Yay! She's just not going to be a big chubber baby. Got our last appointment with the birth centre midwife tomorrow. Will be kinda sad because she's been so supportive but we bought her a gift so I'm looking forward to giving her that.
Mary - We bought a Valco navigator. They're on sale at Big W at the moment. It's excellent and only weighs 7kg. I definitely recommend it as its cheap, only $160 and really easy to put up and down. some bits of it aren't the best quality but it does the trick.
well better go as my angel is due for a feed. Hello to all you other lovely ladies and bubs xxxx Nik and Amy
-
Ok I am still getting my head around this... What do people do with their babies after they wake up. Do you feed them straight away, change their nappies, play?
With us Amber wakes up, we check her nappy, feed on one side and then probably change her nappy. We feed the other side, wrap her and then try and get her to sleep again. We may vary this slightly. We cuddle with her. When we think she is sleepy we will rock her, bounce on the fitball and wait until she is in a deep sleep before putting her down. We cant put her down when she i just sleepy because she will wake herself up.
Now with my feeding, she will feed on one side for a short time before she puts herself to sleep, I then burp her and either try the same side or go to the other side. But she does fall asleep attached to me or she just sucks on a nipple. After we have her wrapped and try and settle her sometimes she needs more to drink before she is sleepy again...... Are other babies ferocious drinkers?
I know this is something I will bring up with the health nurse but I am curious on how others do it.
Nik- You have gone to extraordinary lengths to keep bf. If all else fails formula is not the boogy man people make it out to be. She is happy and so are you. Plus she is putting on weight so it must be fine. Amber is a 10lber so you can have some of her weight!
Jo- Amber is not a huge huge cryer but she takes a long time to settle into a sleep. If I dont take the long time she will wake herself up within an hour. You must be doing just fine in the sleep department.
Carol- We wrap Ambers arms because she will fling them around otherwise and keep herself awake.
Oh touch wood my girl is crying so hopefully we have a good evening.
-
Hey Jen,
What I do with Scally when she wakes up is: cuddle, feed on one side, change nappy, then, if it's day I'll do play time, then wrap & feed the other side, then bed.
At night it's just feed, change, wrap & feed before back into bed.
-
Jen, just quickly (be back later to write more novels! ;)) - I have got the Brauer Colic Relief drops for wind. I haven't had to use it since changing formula BUT it's awesome. Get it from the chemist or health food joint. It's all natural.
When Billy wakes - I change his nappy then feed him then pretty much put him back to bed otherwise he tends to get over tired and I can't get him to settle - like this evening as we've been out all day then Michael came over. He does have some more awake time in the mornings though.
Back later. Dad bought prawns! :)
x
ps. Yay! HAPPY 4 WEEK BIRTHDAY TO SOPHIE AND BILLY B! :)
-
QM - yes, it's a conspiracy. We thought we'd planned it so well but you've caught us! ;)
Jess, hope you had fun out today with your Mum and Chris (is that his name?). Oh, you wait 'til your money comes through. I had to put most of it on a credit card and I paid my parents back for a loan they gave me (yet another one ) but otherwise, I bought so much stuff today. Well, a microwave steriliser, some Bonds leggings for BTK, a formula dispenser thingy, um another wrap, some stuff for me... Oh, I had the best time. I went out to Sunbury and they have Big W! I'm in love with Big W! :)
Jo, the ring is awesome. You're a lucky girl - however, you deserve it! :) I wouldn't be too worried about what that woman said by the way. Sophie's doing great and the more I read/listen, formula's just fine. :)
Mary, I have the Beema pram too, as you might remember. It is heavy hey? I didn't realise how heavy. Perhaps I'm not as strong as I was before BTK came! I'll persist. It takes up heaps of room but I like it. Let me know what you end up with. :)
Nik, thanks so much for your supportive words. I'm going to give the expressing the as*. Going to do what you're doing and put him on the bb at feeds then formula. I didn't express all day today or yesterday (well, apart from in the morning and at night) as I was out all day. They'd bl00dy have you taking the pump shopping with you if they had their way. pmsl I'm so glad Amy's going well. What did you get the midwife?
Hey Jen, I know you've been busy but have you got any more pics of Amber? Billy wants to show everyone his future wife! ;) In all seriousness, I hope you're doing well today. I've been thinking of you, as has everyone here. It's hard at times and I hope it gets better really soon. :)
Hmm, also, if anyone has texted me and not received a reply - that's not like me - my phone is playing funny buggers. I always reply. It's doing my head in.
Mum bought a mini bottle of Pink champagne to celebrate BTK's 4 week birthday. I had half of that with her now having a wine. Oh, it's just lovely!
Back later.
x
-
ps. Jess, that mobile you were talking about, is it the Peek a Boo leaves thingy by Fisher Price? If so, BTK has it. My aunt bought it for him. The nature sounds are awesome on it, the movement it does is great but don't play the music... it does out heads in. pmsl ;)
-
yeah kate we have big w. ben was there today. we have so many wraps from there. we like the cotton ones cos they stretch and are easier than the muslin.
sorry i didnt invite you over today. Our child is so hard to work out. She woke at 630 this morning. I think I got her back down at 830 for half an hour. Another half an hour at 10 then 4 hours at midday. She was up at 430. She has been feeding constantly since then. we have tried putting her down but she keeps waking 5-10 minutes later. She wont feed for a long period. She falls asleep on me so we wrap her, rock her, put her to bed then she wakes and the whole process starts again. i cannot get her down while drowsy. for her to sleep she has to be in a deep sleep in my arms. so i envy all of you girls who get the constant up, feed, nappy, sleep......
ok she seems to be asleep in my arms.... lets try again.... my nipples hurts from so much. she will drink a little bit, then suck on the nipple. she wont drink her full share at once.
i wonder if the maternal nurse can help tomorrow. she is coming at 2.
-
sorry double post.
kate i have more pics on facebook of amber
-
Jen, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee don't apologise. As I said, no problem at all. I just wanted to let you know I'd be around if you wanted/needed company. We've got plenty of time, plus, we're going to have a bbq and beers one day, remember! :)
Make sure you tell the nurse all your concerns etc. They are there to help. Don't let them bully you either. I have heaps of literature from my MHN - if she doesn't give you stuff, let me know and I'll copy mine and send it over. Have to go back to Big W anyway - picked up the wrong pants - that's what happens when you buy all black. ;)
Oooo... bit tipsy on the wine!
Where's TIFF?
-
Hey Everyone,
Just reading through posts and seeing how everyone is fairing.
I noticed that a few babies in this thread are a bit colicky and windy. Francis is a little windy as well. He asks to be fed for comfort a bit. I find if I don't comfort feed during this time the colic passes on its own, most of the time I give in because he grizzles.
With my third son I used brauer colic relief but found that weak camomile tea worked a lot better. I also used donalix (sp?) but found that it made him drowsy and stopped using it.
Hawksey, yes I am still here, I live in the western suburbs of Brisbane (I think) - I had to buy another car because my little swift died, I guess it didn't matter because it was becoming somewhat of a clown car...I have also been trooping off to Uni this week, I am so tired so am going to stretch my postgrad over two years I think.
I hope everyone is well - should start seeing some little baby smiles soon, I reckon that has to be the best (least stressfull too) milestone
Karen
-
Ooooooooooooooo Jen, she's just GORGEOUS! I just wanna squeeze her! You know, in a cute way, not in a bad way. ;)
x
-
Hawksey and other Brissy ladies,
I would love to catch up if anyone would like to!!! It would be nice to meet new people and do something different as opposed to nappy changing, study and chasing after toddlers and doing my eldest son's homework.
-
Karen- Nice to hear from you! Where abouts are you located? You mention West Subs -- thats where I am:) Also I've never heard of using weak camomile tea before. Does it really work well? I'm willing to try anything - thats safe for him!!
Jen- Re wrapping bubbies. All bubs are different so what works for one might not work for another. No-one knows your bub better than you:) You'll always see what works for some mums & their bubs which is gr8 & sometimes worth trying whatever it is. Just trial & error til you find what works for you:) My DD used to like to be wrapped too arms & all just not my little man though!LOL.
Jackson was sooo windy tonight!! Actually tried the Brauer Colic tonight & not really much difference:( Poor little boy! He was so tired too - but the wind was really distressing him!
-
Jen, forgot to say, I'll hold off on the course if you want to go together. I've waited 33 years, a bit longer won't matter. :)
-
Hey Carol,
I don't know if you got the DVD from the hospy on raising kids or whatever it is but it has this wrapping technique where you fold down one corner and kinda stick their little arms in so they can move them around but not too much. OK, this makes no sense. I need a video post to explain. pmsl
I think I'm tired...
x
-
Kate - I did get that one but Jackson doesn't like it, but thats okay:D That was a good DVD wasn't it.
-
Hi Hindonly,
My health nurse told me to use camomile tea with my third, it really does work. I had a terrible morning with Francis a few days ago and my partner made up some tea (boiled water) - around 25ml. Brauer colic relief has camomile in it (with preservatives added:(
The tea is natural, and really does help settle them. However if you are really suffering... Donnalix is an over the counter colic relief - you have to ask for it. It works and is much much better than the remedies on the shelf.
I live in the indro suburbs!!! I think this is west lol
-
Thanks Karen I might try the tea - so its just a weak camomile is that right? I'll try that 1st anyway & keep the other up my sleeve!
We should meet up sometime. We're not that far apart. I'm near Jindalee,Mt Ommaney...
Carol
-
Hi Hindonly,
Not too weak just a nice gold colour - no sugar :)
I do my shopping at My Ommaney all the time, I don't indro shopping centre it is far to busy. My sister and her family also live in Jamboree Heights.
My son also attends special ed in Jindalee - I know everything points to me moving out that way - but Indro is close to the uni. Anyway I am only a few mins down the centenary highway so if you do want to catch up that would be great
Karen
-
Let me know okay next time your out here & you can come visit me here at home:)
-
Hindonly,
With regards to the camomile... if you have tried the Brauer I would try the tea, I would hate myself if your little bubs was allergic to camomile.
I thought I should add that. It would be unlikely I have never had a problem. However I am allergic to everything and when I give my kids new products I always think about these things!!!
-
I am out at centerary tomorrow I have to go to medicare for a rebate and do some shopping. However I am not sure what time I will be there I have uni at until midday and a doctors appointment at 1pm.
If you have a mobile number I could text you if you would like.
Karen
-
I think camomile tea is an old colic relief remedy... my parents and my partners parents said sugar water and swear by it (oldies hehe) - I have never tried this - but I don't think it sounds too healthy.
Let me know how you go with it, if you do try it. Louis always settled after tea. I wish I knew of these things with my first because I was an absolute train wreck with him.
P.S. Sorry about the 3 or so posts in a row girls
Karen
-
Morning girls,
Kate - I knew it!! Y'all are sneaky! ;)
Jen - I don't thing anyone has 'constant' feed, nappy, sleep times.... especially not me!
Those of you with 'windy' bubs, my belly buddies & alot of the mummys in the dec babies thread are huge fans of Infants Friend if any of you wanted to give that a go. I've used it a couple of times with Scally & it seems to do the trick, doesn't hurt that she loves the taste of it & it's also good 'cause it's okay from birth. I read somewhere that the donnalix (sp?) had some dodgy stuff in it (as in a bit too hardcore for an upset tummy) so I never went for that, but whatever works!! My mum bought some gripewater with her when she came to visist but I've not used it.
-
Hi all mummies!
Jess: I think it's definately worth getting a fisher price musical thing that hangs on the cot. We've got one that's a jungle theme that lights up, plays music and trickles water like a waterfall! Bodie loves his, sometimes we even put him down in the cot with his eyes half closed and he just watches it until he falls asleep! My MIL gave us one and it's great! There would probably be lots on ebay.
I recommend all mothers to get one of the above! ;)
Jen: Hope the nurse helped with your feeding concerns. I've got Bodie on S26 formula, he hasn't had many problems just a bit of constipation earlier on. Even if you top Amber up with some after a feed it might help her settle a little easier?
Mary: We have a Jeep sports series pram. It is the lightest one i've felt and we got it from Big W. It has lots of compartments for keys, drink holders etc. Did you end up getting one from Babies galore?
Jo: Your ring is gorgeous! It's similar to mine, i've got a gold band and princess cut diamond.
Nik: Thats great about Amy putting on all that weight and now you won't have to worry!
Kate: Im with you on the champagne! I had 1 glass the other day and it went straight to my head, hehehe made me pretty tipsy!
Hi Karen, Yeah I think my little man is starting to try & smile. And it's not wind! Can't wait till he does it properly.
Can't believe our little man is almost 2 months!!! It's gone so quick. :)
April & Bodie xo

Hi Girls,
I'm back online now and our move went really well! I won't do personals as there are so many but I've been gone a while so no doubt there would be!
Madeleine is doing super well and now 6.3kgs and 62cm! We've had to move up to "00" clothes now. Get yourselves to Target too! I went yesterday and bought 5 outfits and 8 singlets for Madeleine for $50! Some were $29.99 marked down to $3!! Get yourselves down there if you need new clothes. I have so many "000" clothes for her and some we haven't even worn so they are going straight in the bag now. All her little "00" ones are on the line as we speak so I can't wait to take them all off and fold them all ready for her to wear!
Hope all is well with everyone.
Bindy xx
