Hey Ladies,

I can see this being a long post i've got so much to catch up on so i hope you ladies have patience.

Sorry i've been MIA cant remember whether i posted yesterday or the day before, but its been hot here and couldnt be trucked to do much other than lounge around & look after Sophie. My family went home yesterday afternoon after a drama with their car that Chris & I think we fixed between us but i told Dad to get the car looked at by his mechanic as their might be more to it.

I think my engagement ring might still be too tight and need to be sent back to be re-sized, because if i sleep with it on i have a red mark on my finger from the ring when i get up and when i take the ring off my finger feels funny almost like the ring is still on but its not, and my finger doesnt appear to be swollen or anything i'm very confused.

Today has been ok but Sophies been unsettled due to the heat & her temperature was 37.1degrees at one point i didnt bother putting a legless suit on her shes been in a nappy & singlet all day and has hardly been wrapped as she was only fighting her way out or sooking to be unwrapped so i figured why bother.

Nik- Sophies been smiling heaps lately i thought it was because she had wind. Dont worry yourself too much Amy will do things when shes ready, it sounds like she's progressing well. We bought a box of 6 packets of wipes from Woolies the week we got home from hospital and i've got 2 packets left will get more when we go shopping along with anything else i need to stock up on haha.

Jen- sorry to hear Amber will only sleep in your arms and not in her bassinette. I hope Amber is more settled tonight for you. We're still using Sophie's bassinette, we've only got the mattress in it with a sheet on top, the mattress isnt hard but isnt too soft either she loves it.

Maz- PLEASE dont think you have to stay away, were hear to listen & support each other. Good to hear Mat is putting on weight. Good luck with the appointments you have coming up. Did you get the DVD?

QM- thanks for clarifying what infants friend is i will look for it next time i go shopping. Sophie has been a little windy lately probably because we've started using formula when i dont have enough EBM for her.

Kate- i never thought 'poo' would be such a hot topic but we have to talk about something right haha. Sometimes Sophies poo's stink and other times they dont i think it depends whether i've given her EBM or formula. Im not hiding just too hot to do alot and Sophie had a hungry day today had to get Chris to get more formula before he went to work incase i didnt have enough EBM. Hes doing night shift for a week the other person is on holidays.

Well Sophies awake and although she isnt due for a feed until 10pm shes trying to suck her arm off haha so i better go and feed her now.

YAY!!! Hi Jo and Sophie! Glad all is ok. That heat would SUCK! I was complaining the other day when it was 34. I was worried BTK would be too hot as we don't have a/c or anything. I just left him in a nappy and singlet like you did. Too hot for wrapping I reckon.

Write more tomorrow. Going to get in a nap now that he's gone off to sleep. Nanny's been doing the evening feed - she loves it. It's so gorgeous watching them.

Kate- it was Sophie's temperature that was 37.1degrees i've no idea what the actual temperature outside was today was still pretty warm yesterday was pretty bad. The heat does suck!!. Well Sophie due next at 1am so will either head to bed or crash on the lounge havent decided yet, i've been doing the night feeds as Chris has work during the day (usually), but when hes home he'll feed Sophie while im expressing, washing bottles, cooking dinner or anything else. Who knows what time Chris will come home from work he'll go straight to bed i know that much.

Joanne, the temp yesterday was crazy wasn't it! It hit 40 degrees where we are. We were in pool a bit yesterday and had the aircon on inside! Today wasn't too bad but still hot, let's hope the heat doesn't stay...

Hope everyone is having a good night. Everytime I sneeze, poor Madeleine jumps and will let out a huge cry, it gives her a real shock sometimes. She'll be fast asleep in her bouncer too at times and just wakes for a huge cry and then goes straight back to sleep, maybe she's dreaming!!

Waiting..waiting for Madeleine to wake for a night feed. She fed at 5pm so still waiting. She has the night feed normally and sleeps right through until 4am lately. I'm glad she's finally taken to her cot but of course when she wakes at 4am, she won't go back in but would much rather co-sleep with Mummy...

jen - yer jaylen likes noise as well, always sleeps when the tv is on, and last friday i went out to the pub across from mums house, (its a pretty quite country kinda pub lol) and it was quite busy and noisy and he slept all the way through it!

bindy - lol jaylen does that too, will be asleep and then cry for like 30 secs and goes straight back to sleep!? very weird lol... and OMG he did the funniest noise in his sleep yesterday, i had to leave the room so i could laugh !! it was like a real girly, wooooo wo wo wooo! kinda like a ghost noise?! god it was hilarious!

well hes been awake since about 5-6 and just had a feed and hes asleep now again yay

Amber fell asleep straight after her bath and feed last night at 8. She slept to 1230 then woke. I fed her, tried burping her and settling her without much luck. I am having trouble getting her wind up and I know she is getting it because her face will screw up and she will be all fidgety. Ben ended up getting up at 2 and settling her. She cried a couple of times but Ben settled her again. She woke at 6, I fed her and had the same problem with wind. We finally got her down at 8. She slept for a bit, cried then Ben gave her the dummy which settled her for a little while. She will probably wake for a feed soon.
Being young we cannot giver her wind stuff yet. How are others finding getting the wind up and are there any tricks to doing it? She will burp every now and then over my shoulder and I get the occassional spew on my lap but I dont get the constant burp...

That temp would be horrible for the QLD girls. I am only dressing Amber in a singlet and nappy but we have her in 2 stretchy cotton wraps. When we unwrap her, she is warm so she isnt getting cold.

With the poo. I think Amber is back to the yellow seeds....

We are going to attempt another go in the stroller today. The first time she was quite for a bit then screamed all of the way home. The second time was the same and I ended up carrying her halfway home. Lets hope she gets used to it too.

to burp jaylen i put him on my chest and rub his back up and down or pat it,he usually burps but not always, he screws up his face and get fidgety too lol... also to help them fart, bring their knees up to their chest, sometimes works lol

hmm im sick of being in the house, would go out but not as if theres anything to do, DAMN broke STUPID centrelink haha
