Hi Sarah, welcome to bellybelly!! i love your girls names :) We're all friendly in here
Hi Sarah and welcome to BB. I'm sure you will love it in here with us :)
Your little girls look gorgeous.
hey trish, how's everything going?? hope its cooled down for you a little up there...
Hi all, welcome Sarah.
Just popping in to let you know that we are off on a family holiday tomorrow. We'll be away for a week so will pop in to catch up when we get back.
been very quiet in here
Weekend here was good besides Mason teething overnight on Friday night, felt so bad as he was in so much pain but i had given him everything i could, in the end i was feeding him icecream at 2am to help ease his mouth, so glad a wiggles marathon was on that night! kept his mind off it for awhile at least
Back to school tommorow and Mason has his second day at daycare, hoping he goes as well as the first time, we shall see, he probably wont because i will be rushing to get luke to his first day at his new school, kids sense these things and wreck it all lol
nite
Hi hi hi! Just wanted to le you guys know I haven't actually fallen off the face of the planet LOL! Still trying to catch up after being without a computer for three weeks!
Daddy is back at work for the first day since the 15th of December, so I think it'll be a loooong day without him here. Alexzander is such a daddy's boy at the moment so I'm little worried!
He's been going really well lately - absolutely in love with the pool which is scary cos he wants to jump right in even if you're not watching properly LOL! His speech has come a long way in the past few weeks & I can understand *most* of what he says. Sentences too  He'll be going into his new room probably next week, just have to wait for his blinds to arrive. There are photos on his site of his new room & some others from the holiday as well if anyone's interested.
Hey girls, Belinda you are right, it has been so quiet in here. What happened to our chatty group.
Wow at Luke starting school this week. How are you handling it ? I hope he goes off smoothly for you and that Mason is a good boy for you when you drop him off at daycare, I'm not sure how Luke was when he went but I know that Noah only started the tears up a few weeks into it. Hoping this isn't the case for you.
Simone, weather has cooled down alittle, thank God. Still quiet hot in the sun though. Too damn hot to go car shopping though which is what we've been up to.
Deb, how are you and Gab going ? Hopefully all is well with you 2 chickens.
Melanie, hope you have a great holiday hun. Make sure you take care.
We have had a busy few days. Friday we had a memorial lunch down at Mark's SIL's house for Marks brother. He died 1 year ago on the day after Australia Day. Complete with 3 Buddhist Monk's. It was a very interesting thing to experience. A bittersweet day, one of the families friend's son's got up and sung a couple of songs and had everyone in tears. It was also SIL's 30th bday on the day.
Went car shooping on Saturday and then left Mark to do what he wanted to do by himself, he went out to the club with a mate, had a few drinks and bets. Finally he won a few too. Must have had someone watching over him he thinks.
Car shopping again on Sunday, then we went up tp mum's for a few hours. Had them back here for a BBQ dinner.
Brandon starts high school tomorrow :( Another child growing up. Taking SIL to her OB appt tomorrow, let's see if it's as interesting as her last midwife appt. ;)
Hope everyone has a great day today.
ETA, Sarah, I checked out Zanders new pics the other day, his room is looking great. Was wondering what sort of blinds you had put up. Trying to decide on Tehya's ones. Fantastic that Zander's speech is picking up too. Sure makes thigs alot easier when you can understand them. The first days back with Daddy at work are hard. I had both Noah and Tehya pining for him.
Had to LOL a minute ago, Tehya came over and said boogie to me then asked for a tissue. Oh well, atleast she wanted a tissue.
Sarah: Great looking room, and i love the pic of your DH and son with their backs to camera, i like them sort of shots
Trish: Luke was great with daycare, he didnt care about going, Mason i dont know, he is more clingy with me, but i am not a Mum who worries too much about it as i know once i leave the tears stop and they get over it
Lukes first day at new school was a bit of a mix up, we got there and had no idea what class he was in, then he wasnt on anyones lists, but finally they worked it out, there are 5 year 4 classes and of all the classes they put him in they picked the one with stairs, PITA as i have to get Cooper out of pram to go in classroom, typical lol
Trish: Good luck with high school thing, i am sure he will go fine with it, such a big thing though sending your kid off to high school! The memorial thing sounded nice although sad
Had a big day today & I am sunburnt :( My BIL graduated from the police academy (photos on Zander's site). The little monkey got to stay home with his aunty which I think they both enjoyed. You can tell she doesn't have any kids though - he had bikkies, a muffin & all sorts of other snacks & he was only up for about 5 hours LOL!
We survived daddy's first day at work perfectly, it was like any other day! I wrote out a roster for what household stuff I want to do each day & included in some activites for Zander. We're going to do library storytime each Tuesday & continue on with gymnastics on Wednesdays. Other than that it was quiet, too quiet without daddy LOL!
Well Luke's first day was horrible for him, he nearly cried when i picked him up, so anyhow i talked to teacher this morning and she checked today at least that someone had shown him where things were and where to play and he made two friends, so things are better today thankfully
Sarah: Yah to your brother graduating and glad the day went well minus DH, great pics of your brothers day too
Hi girls, was I missed LOL
Sorry I`ve been AWOL, just been busy with all 4 boys and school holidays.
The boys are well, Adrian has cut one tooth and his second is on it`s way, he said his first word last week "Mum".
Matthew is doing well, went to GYmbaroo today which was the first day back after the break and he really enjoyed it but I also noticed how different he is on the equipment now to what he was last term, growing up and doing different things.
Matthew is also teething, he has his first 2 year old molar so that`s tooth number 17 for him and he`s pointing down the other side saying ouch, his gum is bumpy so that`s obviously on its way too.
Matthew is turning into such a kissy, cuddly boy lately, except with Daddy he will not give Daddy a kiss, just goes all coy.
It`s our 3rd wedding anniversary today and 4 years since we first met, Mark forgot, I`m trying to talk him into taking me out to dinner, I can only try but I think it will fall on deaf ears as usual.
Sorry no personals, just too much to reply to and with a squirming drooling baby on my lap it`s making things hard, yes I could put him on the floor but he`s going through a screaming phase and being frustrated over things
Great to hear from you Dee, i was only thinking about you about 2 days ago and wondering how you were, was going to look you up and pm you :)
So saves me doing that i guess
Glad all is well and happy anniversary to you :) hope you won and got that dinner, wow at Adrian being 5 mths now, Cooper is 3mths already, it just flys by
You thinking of anymore soon or waiting awhile?
I`m totally amazed I got my anniversary dinner at The Lone Star, we haven`t been out to dinner since we were on Honeymoon, how sad is that, had a great night even though we had two children in tow and no he didn`t get a bonus at bedtime as AF is visiting :)
Belinda - I was actually wondering where you got too as you didn`t seem to be around when I was in here posting then I`m too busy and your back here posting.
Time certainly flys, baby boy will be 6 months next Thursday, in a way it seems like he`s been here forever. Thank goodness he`s 6 months next week as he is completely draining me, since 5 months he`s been extra hungry and attached to me most of the day and at night, Matthew did exactly the same thing thats why he started solids at 5months, 1 week but then he has a number of severe food allergies and I feel it`s all my fault for starting him 21 days earlier then I was meant to, I don`t want two children with allergies, one is bad enough but in saying that Adrian is starting to get excema, that I can deal with but food allergies are scary especially when I have to carry an epi pen around with me.
No more just at this moment, I was thinking waiting till Adrian was 12months then TTC again but I don`t think I`ll be ready then either, I need to sort my brain out in regards to needing a c/s next time, I still don`t like the thought but I don`t have any other option and Mark and I need to sort out our relationship, the spark is gone we both know it`s there still but we need to find it.
Both beautys are in bed, Matthew has been better the last few days and happily plays in his cot till he goes to sleep.
glad you got a nice dinner in :)
And sounds like a good decision to wait out more kids till you are both really sure thats what you want, and i do remember what i hard time you had in regards to the horrible aftermath of Adrian, so i wouldnt blame you if you never went there again, i know i probably wouldnt
I seen the other day that Michelle is over 20wks, so hard to believe, feels like yesterday she was saying she was pregnant
Who else is pregnant from the may mums forum again? ah shannon and someone else?
Dee - I hear you. Spark isn't flying at the moment for us either, but I'm sure things will warm up again eventually. Yay on the dinner :D The night I had Hamish we went out for dinner - just to the Crepe place, and it was the 2nd sitdown meal we had had without children since Jenna was born. And I was having contractions through it ;) Oh well. Gotta love the little darlings!
Hope everyone is OK. This thread has been pretty quiet, lets all get positive and start cahtting again :D
yes its been very quiet!
All is good here, Mason is going great at daycare two days a week, feels weird him not being here but also good as he is a live wire
Luke has settled in well to the new school now thankfully, couldnt of standed him struggling to fit in anymore than one day! so glad he isnt shy at least
Cooper is still a great baby, was just explaining to him that they say 'feed, play then sleep' as he isnt sleeping, he just laughed at me in response lol
i have a shocking sinus headache, wish the rain would start properly and stay to clear the air outside
Well Cooper is whinging so guess i better get him and go pick up Mason and get the house back to its usual full chaos
gggrrr now the rain starts when i have to go out, well i did ask for it i guess lol
Did I miss something, Is there a reason why it`s so quiet in here?
Belinda - Glad all is going well in your house. Sorry about your sinus headavhe, I hope you feel better soon. Michelle had her baby Eleanor 3 weeks ago, were you thinking of someone else? Let me think we have Lesley, Angel, Shannon, Deb, Tanya, have I missed someone?
Fi - Where would we be without our darlings, I can`t imagine life without them. Sorry to hear your sparks aren`t flying atm either, we`ll both find it eventually.
Matthew`s 2nd molar is just under the skin, poor darling and I thought his first molars were big, these seem bigger.
oh yeah i said congrats to her in her thread lol, i still thought she was 20wks till i just had that flashback, it certainly flew by lol, how far along is angel?
i have no idea why it went quiet, was busy when it first merged, are you all avoiding me lol?
well i am having vodka lemonade and fresh lime and its pretty good, had bad sinus all day so its helping me forget i have a headache
I'm here too :(
I'm back too. We had a fantastic week away. I was worried about trying a holiday with the boys so young, but we wanted to do it while we didn't have to pay for flights for either. LOL, we just made it, Jack is 2 in 9 days!! And anyway, it went really well. The boys didn't always get their sleeps when they needed them so there were some "moments", but not many. They were actually very well behaved.
Well, I'm tired so off to bed. I have Jack's party to organise this week and DH is back to work Mon after 6 weeks off so I have to remember how to get everything done by myself LOL! Busy week, lucky I had a holiday!
It's too hard to catch up on personals after a week away, so hi to everybody.
hey Sarah :)
and welcome back Melanie, glad it went good
had a few drinks so wont say much more :)
Hi girlies :)
Just popping in to say "hello" :) All is well here, still battling with the 1st trimester...
Not a lot going on here Violet is trying to help me type... so if there are extra letters scattered about you'll know why ;)
Wato took Emily with him to a friends place last night and Alecia stayed over at her friends place so it was just Violet and I last night :D We both slept in my bed and it was HOT!! She could n't get to sleep so I eventually got her a wet face washer which she loved and it didn't take her long to nod off.
She has cut the last of her teeth (thankfully!!) so now we just wait for the 2yo's Hopefully they will be no trouble.... I don't expect them for a while yet tho.
Told Emily that mummy has a baby in her tummy and her reply is that she has a dog in hers!! lol too cute!
Anyway, I hope you are all doing well
Tanya
Melanie, I was the same after having Aaron off for 6 weeks. Everything fell back into place very quickly, so I hope it does for you too.
Hi Belinda ;)
We got the rails for Zander's new bed yesterday, built them....... then they didn't fit :( So now we're back off to Babies Galore in the hope that they have a different type. I'm not going to be real happy if they don't cos they don't give refunds so I'll have $100 credit which I really can't use in there anymore. Not like I need cot sheets or anything.
ETA: LOL at a dog in Emily's tummy hehe!
Hey guys.
I'm hungover.... :( dont ya hate that!!! Biggish night out last night for a friends hens night which was nice. A little stressful as Hamish would take his EBM from either bottle we had, so a late night call to Bec helped and finally we got it into him - which of course meant that I could stay out later and have a few too many!
Jenna also had her first sleepover last night, which was great. She slept from 8:30 til 7:15 with no wakeups! Yay for that, she can go and stay there again - next time we need a break. And of course her grandfather enjoyed it.
Dee - Shane got his first bd action last night - he always gets a bit when I'm drunk. I hope we didnt make another baby. We didn't use anything.... I'd have to be pretty unlucky right? Oh well, if it happens it happens!
Hope everyone else is doing well. Debbie is in Geelong at the moment, and only has limited access, so thats why she's quiet.
Tanya - very cute about Em. Jenna would probably say she had a horse. Everything is horses at the moment. She wants to talk to them on the phone too!!
Oh I'm tired. I think I need a nanna nap!
Oooh Fi taking a risk ;) When are you thinking of TTC again? Mark has been at me the last few days wanting to know if my body is in action yet or not  LOL @ Jenna with wanting to talk to horses on the farm, she`d be in her glory here, just yesterday a neighbours daughter across the road was riding her horse, Matthew got so excited.... Mum, Mum, Mum pointing at the horse so cute but then he gets excited seeing cows, horses, cars, trucks, tractors all the time, just can`t get enough of them. Hope your feeling more awake tonight or should I say tomorrow, glad you had a good night in the end.
Sarah - Bugger about the rails, how did you get on at Babies Galore?
Tanya - LOL @ Emily, too cute
Melanie - Glad you had a great trip away
Belinda - I think Angel is about 33 weeks or so, Lesley is about 39 weeks (only know that as I saw a post from her the other day) and I forgot about Min, she`s about 20 weeks along. Do you know what happened to Rails? I haven`t seen her post since we merged and Juliette has been missing for a while.
I have just made a jelly slice, I`ve never made it before, I hope it turns out okay.
Went to Target yesterday, I brought lots of bargains yesterday in the way of clothes for myself, for once they had a pile of 8`s and 10`s yay!!!! The day before I brought myself a new maternity bra, I was well overdue as I haven`t brought a new one since Matthew was about 4 months, it would be so nice one day to go out and buy an underwire bra.
LOL at the dog in her belly Tanya, how cute :)
Sarah" How annoying about the rail, hope the next one fits
Fi: Hope you are feeling better now
Dee: Wow at how far along everyone is and no havent heard from rails or Juliette in ages, yah to the shopping spree as well, nice when you can do that
Speaking of babymaking, i gave in while drunk a couple of weeks ago and still waiting for AF but because its only the second AF since Cooper could be just my body out of whack, we did use something so probably nothing but has me a little worried, will wait a couple more days, have all the symptoms of AF for days now but still not here
Well it was a disaster :( Seems as though we're not going to find one that will fit. The helpful (haha) lady said if you just spend another $79 you can buy a toddler bed - yeah right when you can get them for $100 at Ikea. So I told her I'd like a refund, she said no we have a no refund policy blah blah blah. Good think my dad worked for Fair Trading, so I have a good idea on these sorts of things, so I told her legally they have to give me a refund if the product doesn't perform as expected which it didn't. So she says she can't do anything about it, but I'm going to see the owner tomorrow. Will let you know then.....
All this talk of not wanting to TTC a third & here I am desperately wanting a second. Anyone want to send their fertility my way LOL!
Bummer about the unhelpful lady, but hope you sort it out tommorow and i didnt know you could buy junior beds at ikea for 100 dollars
And you can borrow my fertility for the next 6mths, dont need it over that time frame, best of luck that it works for you :)
Sarah - find a way to send it, and you can have mine!! Would save me going on the pill.
I might have to do dome temping to see if Im ovulating until I get AF beack to be safe.
Awww Sarah :( I don't think I have any atm ;) But I am hoping for you!! Have you made any plans to consult anyone in the near future?
And what a load of crap!! That is soooo illeagal for them to say they don't give refunds when the product didn'tdo what it was supposed to! That is just a scam!
Belinda, oooeeerr... norty norty!! You'll be spewing if you fall accidently and it's another boy ;) So have you decided if you are going to try for a girl?
Dee... how nice to get some great bargans... for yourself!! That's always a bonus! Not often I buy for myself unless it's on super special!!
Soooo Fi, you taking risks too!? LOL @ Jenna!! Too funny.
Anyway feeling a tad Blugh atm... it'll only get worse as it gets hotter. Oh well. Violet just wouldn't go to sleep last night... little monster... oh well. she did eventually get to sleep.
Tanya
Yeah I'm thinking of making an appointment with my GP to get the wheels in motion to go to the specialist. Hopefully we can do the same as last time ;) I'm getting a Maybe Baby & also looking at Lunar Fertility, so trying a few different things.....
Going back to sort out this thing this morning, I'm all fired up for an argument ;)
Well, what can they say? You know your rights and surely the owner can't argue with his/her legal resposibility! they could end up in big trouble!
Oh and oyu are going to try and 'do a Sarah' again ;)
Tanya
Yep doing another Sarah would be nice hehe!
Sarah - You can have mine too although I`m not sure how good it is now after having a D & C. I really hope it`s not too much longer before your up the duff and I agree doing another Sarah would be wonderful. My Mum was told the same thing about the Hug A BUb she brought from BG, no refund, My Dad said the same as you that`s illegal, luckily it was okay but I`ve hardly used it as Adrian is just too heavy.
Tanya - I`m the same very rarely buy anything for myself, it`s all something for the 4 boys or Mark. Hope your m/s doesn`t give you too much trouble today.
Belinda - I thought Bill said 3 was enough, good on you if your wanting a 4th, will you be trying for a pink one?
Anyone want two children who refuse to have a sleep, I have on my hands a 6 month old who thinks one sleep is enough for him and a 21 month old who thinks he doesn`t need to sleep at night, luckily with Matthew Mummy and Daddy still sleep as he doesn`t cry just blows raspberries and talks to himself LOL, he was still awake at 10pm, awake again at 1.45am, 4am, 7am I have no idea when he went to sleep and Adrian got me up 4 times last night for a big feed each time so I`m feeling rather tired.
Just got back from Adrian`s 6 monthly check up, he`s 9.7kg and 72cms long, he`s the same length as Matthew but is 330gms heavier then Matthew at the same age, I knew he was fatter, Matthew never had rolls of fat on him even for a big boy.
Drama drama drama over here LOL! I had quite an argument with the owner of the Babies Galore here with him telling me that my bed isn't "normal". I called the Dept of Fair Trading, answered a few questions to be told I'm entitled to a refund & to contact them again, tell them Fair Trading says I am entitled & if they still refuse to put in an official complaint. Long story short, I've put in an official complaint. The staff there (owner & another man) were quite rude about it all, so I will enjoy going back in to get my refund ;) Silly them though, I have bought all of my baby stuff there (around about $4000) and I won't be going to them ever again.
Sorry to hear the boys are giving you grief Dee, hopefully tonight will be better.
Looks as though I'm off to find a toddler bed now *sigh* I'll use my $100 I get back ;) to buy one from Ikea I think. Stupid bed I have isn't going to work with any rails as they all look to have the same mechanism as the one we bought.......
Sarah, what sort of rail was it? The one we have on Jack's bed just slides straight under the matress so I would think it would fit on most beds. BTW, when we were TTC Jack (it took 9 months which isn't a long time in the scheme of things but seemed like it at the time), I kept telling myself that nature was just waiting for the right egg to be released to create the most wonderful child. I swear it worked, Jack is the best little boy I could imagine!! Perhaps that's why it's taking you a while - I'm sure Zander was worth the long wait!!
Our first day with DH back at work is going well so far, but I'd better go now and make some calls.
I'm still deciding about no 3 too, but I would want Tom to be at least 6 months first!
Well glad you will get the refund Sarah and hope its not a fight to get it
LOL Tanya, and no probs here about having any more kids for now, was relieved i have to say, could picture my life with a 17mth and 9mth gap and have to say it was scary!!
Dee: Bill has no idea i am thinking about it lol, and thats all i am doing really, just thinking, as for the girl thing i am researching a lot to see whats out there in the low tech swaying stuff, finding a mountain of info that is helpful so will just research and see how it goes for the next 5-6mths then decide, i have been testing my ph levels though and if the theory is true then i know why i have all boys so far
I am also looking into becoming a foster parent but i think i would feel better doing that when my kids are a little older
Melanie: Hope the rest of the day goes well minus DH :)
I went on a cleaning frenzy this morning and set up a bed in Masons room, the cot is still in there as well, so will just see what he thinks, not going to pressure him, he has till the end of the month to make the change over, so no rush, no bed rails for him though lol, going to put a mattress on the floor to catch him for now
Melanie, you sound like a girl after my own heart ;) I absolutely agree that there is another little munchkin out there waiting for us to be ready for him (or her, but I have a strong feeling it'll be a boy!). I've overcome some of the anxieties related to Zander's birth & lots of other things have fallen into place over the last few weeks - new room for Zander, bigger car etc. so I feel like this bub is just around the corner. S/he has just been waiting for the right time to come & join our family.
The rail we got is *supposed* to just slip under the matress, but because they all fold down there's a mechanism that sticks out a bit & for some reason it just won't sit properly on the bed. If you have a look at the photos of his new room, the problem is that the side bits of the bed are too high for it to work. Looks like we'll be getting a $100 toddler bed from Ikea instead now, so my old bed will be packed away for a while longer.
Belinda good idea on the mattress on the floor rather than rails ;) Yay at the cleaning frenzy, sounds like you've done heaps.
havent done a thing since last post though lol, i quit for now
i am already dreading Mason coming home and destroying the room!! took photos though before the wreckage so all good, i can look at them and feel better :)
OMG where is everyone???? It's not like me to be one of the most frequent posters lately LOL!
Not much happening around here, still waiting for the blinds to come in & also to hear from Fair Trading. I'm thinking now of just putting the cot mattress next to the big bed & see how we go. Not like we're going to need it for at least a year from now (we use a hammock when bub is small).
Zander has a nice big scratch down the inside of his bicep, looks sooo sore. He tripped over on Tuesday night at mum's place & got the corner of her new nesting box that was on the floor. She had just bought it that afternoon & had yet to put it in the aviary. Poor little guy cries & says "ow ow ow ow" when I put the Dettol cream on it after his bath.
BB meetup today in a park with predicted thunderstorms LOL! Going to be fun!
