I dont know what to suggest about the kids. Its all a crock really - where does the money for them come from? We knwo that shane's teenage kids both have a seperate income from different sources, and we are yet to see a present for Shane from them. Let alone for me. Thats NEVER going to happen!
As for condoms - yes I still feel like a naughty girl buying them, Shane has to do it, and lube. OMG - you wouldn't catch me buying that!

As for the gifted thread, well I think it was a bad suggestion. I knew it would be met with some resistance, we are allowed to say how sick our children are, but not if they might be smarter than normal I'm afraid. Its not upset me in anyway, I just know what it was like to grow up the way I did, and to know now that had mum given me the options who knows what I could have acheived. I would like to make sure I dont make the same mistakes with Jenna, which I wont, but support for her, whether or not she ends up being high IQ or not, it would be nice.
I had to dumb myself down for my exhusband to keep him feeling secure about his masculinity. I will never let my daughter do the same thing. But at the same token I want all my kids to be good at everything, from sports to school to music, they will have all the opportunity and none of the pressure I had. I hope.
