Hey all,

Oh well. The hat was a PITA to make!!!
Trish - I'm sure your SIL will soon find out what they look like when her teacher sends her home with a note and a nit sticky-taped to it ;)
Ooo going to have a look at Miss Jenna in the bathroom now! hehehe
ETA: awww that's absolutely adorable, Fi! You should be very proud of yourself! Ok... I'll put my order in for Gab now. Just let me know how much I owe ya and get sewin'!! ;)
Mum reckons it looks like Shane in a frock!
No!!! She looks adorable! I love how rosy-red her cheeks are. Cheeky monkey!
OH Deb, tell me you didn't.??? That's so damn funny !!! Just showed Mark pictures of Gab and thinks she's s cutey :) Is Neil still involved in Blokesworld ?? I remember ages ago you saying something about it although I could be completely wrong. Adn his new job.....has he scammed any trendy clothes for Gab yet.
Fi, I love Jenna's dress, so very cute. She looks gorgeous in it, not like Shane at all. We'll have one in the same size please. Tehya is alittle lighter in weight than Jenna and Gab but she is pretty tall. Let know what you need, how much dollars and I will send it through, if your happy to make of course. No pressure on you at all hun.
I was having a look at your pics and showing Mark how curly Jenna's hair is. Very cute :)
He's also jealous that Shane has a Harley and he has no bike now :(
Bloody hell, just had my cereal and thought that the milk wan't really cold. Someone had bumped the cord and it was half out..... Mark said stuff was starting to defrost in the freezer.
Doh @ the fridge, Trish.
What?? What did I do???:
OH Deb, tell me you didn't.???
Thank Mark for saying Gab is a cutey! I have to agree with him there! Neil isn't involved with Blokesworld anymore because his club (The Drinking and Associated Activities Club - The DAAC) kind of went bust. It's still there in spirit but the whole business he was trying to build around it just didn't happen. He still has their phone number tho! I am just waiting for them to call and ask him to judge another stripping competition... hmmm. As for scoring trendy clothes for Gab, when the screenprinting company that he worked for changed over to Quiksilver's hands, Neil had already applied for the job up here. So he was only working for Quiky for a couple of months (not enough time to get his clothing allowance organised) so we got nadda :( His new job here as a Plant Operator doesn't involve trendy clothes... unless you have a fetish for forest green hard yakka and flouro yellow shirts?? ;)
Wanna know the funny thing tho? Neil's new workmates have only just discovered his nickname, "Nobba". I can't believe he's kept it a secret for so long! Considering everyone knows him as Nobba (I even call him Nobba!!). Apparently they saw the name scrawled on his hard-hat and quizzed him about it. They also had no idea about The DAAC until his mate started asking questions. It's like Neil has been leading a double life!! hahahahaa
Sorry Deb, I was talking about the nit stuck to the tape. LOL, perhaps I should've said that instead of expecting you to read my mind ....
So Neil has been working under his alias hey... Now any chance for a fresh start is gone for him. Back to the life of Nobba for him, look out, they will all know he like to have a drink now ;)
As for the stripping comp. well the only way Mark would be doing htat is if I was along side him, Hey I woant to look at the sexy gals too ;) Besides, we can see past the big t!ts.
PMSL Trish @ wanting to look at sexy gals too. I didn't mind Neil going but I have one rule - look but don't touch. So... what did I see when I was watching blokesworld one night?? My DH being dragged up onto the stage by an almost-naked chick!! Hmm... I was a bit peeved about that. He was as drunk as a skunk (and, hey... you're not allowed to do anything at a strip-club... probably safer there than at a nightclub) but geeeeeez! I wanted to slap that woman silly! LOL
Ohhhh you were talking about the nit. Nahh... I didn't do it but it's standard procedure at Victorian schools (dunno about the other states). That way there's proof that there were in fact live nits in their child's hair. It sux tho... it's always the same handful of kids that keep coming back to school without being treated properly that infect the rest of the kids. I had one mum getting so frustrated because her son was constantly getting re-infected. She was doing the right thing by treating it but somone else in the class wasn't. I dunno how many times I had to march the whole class up to the sick bay to get a head check. The poor little munchkins would go in one at a time and dread getting "that" note that said they had nits. One little girl burst into tears once because she kept getting "that" note. So I had to sit the class down and have a good talk to them (some of them were teasing the ones that had nits). So I told them that the nits only jump on them because they think that their hair looks tasty. I told the little girl that her hair looks might delicious because it's so clean and juicey-looking to the nits. After that there was no teasing! Gotta love the junior levels as PS! LOL
Aww poor little girl. I never, ever got nits in all of my years at school. The one time my mum thought I had them, my scalp was infact peeling, she washed my hair in kero. Burnt the crap out of my already raw scalp, I had the whitest blonde hair and they would've been impossible to see.
Brandon got them a couple of years back and gave them to me. I could've killed him, took me a few days to get rid of them, having long hair and all. I slept with the solution in my hair for 2 nights. LOL. Washed it out in the morn and redid it that afternoon. Got rid of the buggars though.
How rude of that tart !!! But of course, you can't blame the man at all can you. It wouldn't look good if he didn't go up with her now, would it ???
Hey all,
Sunday morning - yay. I got my sleep in til 6:50am. Shane brought Jenna back into bed with us from 5:45 to about 6:20 when she kicked me in the nose and I screamed "Ow f***". She whacked the big scab on me snozz and it started bleeding. So he got up and I lay there til he bought a cup of tea in.
Apparently this is a big deal.
So since then we have had a row as he made a big deal about vacuuming the house, and how IIIIIIII should be doing all the cleaning. I think he forgets that I am 7m pregnant??
Anyway - I've told him to pi$$ off for the day on his bike and leave us alone. Mark would probably kill for that opportunity huh Trish?
Nah - he's better now, all apologetic, so we will head off to the market and try out the Ergo carrier. Yay - Sunday markets back up and running on the Bellarine! I wonder if I can fine any kids clothes I like. :D
As for the dresses - I'll make up this other one that I cut out last night, and see how long it takes me, and then let you guys know. Its a pink linen remnant from spotlight that was only $2, so with the zip I'll make a dress for about $5! Shane wants me to make more clothes for her, but I'll be asking for an overlocker for Chrissie if he thinks this will all continue.
Maybe it can sit in the corner with the spinning wheel ;)
Nits are gross I guess. My brother was the only one of us that ever got them. I should imagine I'll get a few doses though when these ones start school. Gross.
LOL on the Nobba thing Deb. Shane has two nicknames - Durro and Noddy, so I have to use them interchangeably depending on the group we are with. But normally he's just "SHAAAAAAAAANE!!!!" in a loud voice!
Better get going, gotta get some food into this fat belly.
Have a great day!
Aww Fi, what a crappy way to wake up. Sorry though I did have abit of a giggle at the way you wrote it. Not at what happened though ;) Mark think's Shane is a top bloke coz he made you a cuppa... Hmm then he had the hide to ask me for abit, wants to get in before AF turns up. Not happening hun !!
Hope you find some gorgeous stuff out at the markets and that you have a great day.
I'm sure your belly is looking nice and preggy too, not fat at all.
Looks like today the males of this household will be watching Bathurst.... Boring.......
Grr @ Brandon giving you nits, Trish. Gotta suck having them as an adult.
My sisters and I got nits at high school. It was terrible! All 4 of us had to take a week off. My Mum rang the school and demanded that the nit-nurse go through the entire school before she even bothered to send us back. As IF my friends didn't put 2 and 2 together!
As for Bathurst - I'm kind of glad Neil isn't there this year. I reckon there'd be a few more people about (with Brocky and all - and nice weather too) so I'm glad he's working and couldn't go!
Ohh no! Your poor nose, Fi. Grr @ Shane picking on you about housework!! I'd have cracked the ****s too! I'm lucky with Neil.... even when the place is a pigsty he thinks it's tidy. Part of growing up in a very feral house, LOL. Ooo hope you get the overlocker for Christmas! Must make you feel nice that Shane wants you to make Jenna's clothes - goes to think he thinks you do a great job! Or is just because it works out cheaper?? hehehe LOL @ having to interchange Shane's nicknames depending on the group of people you're with. That's funny!
I resisted calling Neil, Nobba for a long time. Only, there was one time where I couldn't get his attention for all the world until I shouted "NOBBAAAAAA!!" across a whole party of people. Everyone cracked up laughing and I got his attention!! LOL So Nobba it is! Or Nob, Nutsy, Noodle, Nutsicle....anything beginning with N really, hehehe.
Deb, I love your arary of names for Neil. I'm not a huge one on nicknames but I have given Mark a few, he generally gets Sparky off me, I called him Skid a few times (as in skid Mark, no he didn't, i just thought it was funny), Marks' dad calls him Bones, coz he's the skinny one in the family, and his mum calls him barky, or something stupid like that.. Oh and the name from the last 4 years Dad ;)
There are a few choice ones in there too of course, but I'm sure all of our men have those names too :)
Hahahahahaha @ skid... that's great!
Yeah I thought so too, He even started signing off his emails of sms's to me as Skid !!! Very original I thought. LMAO!!!
I like Skid too - very amusing! I actually have a friend who can't have light sheets or towels cause of her husband. Isn't that gross?? Imagine him sliding off the bed...... YUCK!
Well we went to the market with about $30 as I forgot shane's wallet, so it was a cheap day. We just bought lots of food....YUMMO! I lvoe it at the start of the season where the stallholders are really generous with their samples ;)
I saw lots of dresses similar to Jenna's there, but with crappy chinese fabric, and they had them for $25. I think if I only made one dress from the pattern it would have cost me about $20 I spose, but obviously they get cheaper when you dont have to cost the pattern in the mix and you figure out exactly on the fabric you need. So I'd better get cracking on this peach/pink one! Not that she needs it today - cold, windy and showers here today.
It's miserable here too, Fi!
Ewwww @ your friend's DH and his "skiddy" habit... yuk!
LOL @ only having $30... ah well... enough for the important stuff ;) Glad you had a good time.
It's amazing how expensive the clothes are at the markets, hey?
Gabby is driving me nuts. Why oh why must she get into everything??
She discovered how to jump last night and she thought it was hilarious. She barely left the ground each time but would cack herself laughing with each jump. Neil and I were in fits!
Well it's beautifully warm and sunny here girls, although the wind is starting pick up now.
We went to Paul's warehouse and got Joel and Brandon some shoes as they had the buy one pair get one free sale on. OMG Joel's shoes were a size 12 and Brandon's a 10 !!! Tehya was haviong fun running around with the footballs and throwing them which of course Mark thinks is fantastic. Say's she's his little sporty one... Hate to tell him it will be dancing and not football. I have 3 boys for that, this one is mine to play with :)
Fi, I would make him wear boxers to bed and teach him how to wipe his arse if he were mine. And as for his towel getting grotty, doesn't he know to use soap on his date ??? Hey, Congratulations on your 3,000th post too hun :)
Deb, maybe it's the weather. I find my kids go crazy in the wind. Tehya jumps now too, both feet off the ground, not very high but it's a start. She jumps off the bloody lounge too, before it was just from the cushions and now it's from the arms of the lounges. Alot higher for her to fall. We have to put her little lounge on the ground. Because try as I might to get her to stop it doesn't happen. She's even started doing it when there is no one watching her. Dare devil she is.
Dare devil Tehya!! Cheeky monkey!
LOL @ Tehya being yours to play with. So if Mark gets his way and gets her into sport, does that mean Noah is going to do ballet?? ;)
Well, Noah is a big la- la. HEHE. Tehya is truely a tom boy and I don't love it. Although she does still have her softer side where sheloves to play with her bubba's and she loves to dance around, so fingers crossed she stay's abit girly for me.
Hi Ladies
I thought it was time for a quick catch up with you all.
Hayley is doing really well, although yesterday she decided to headbutt the back of the new front door and split her head open. Not pleasant, especially as we were walking out the door for netball. So I got dumped at netball with Shannen and DH, Tayla and Hayley headed off to the emergency dept. Thankfully it wasnt too deep, a little glue and it was fine. Hopefully it will heal okay. Just hope that its gone in a couple of weeks so that she will look normal for the engagement party.
I am doing pretty well, just finished making curtains and drapes for Tayla's room, hopefully she will be back in there by Thursday, which means I have 24 hrs to clean the granny flat from top to bottom for the visitors on Friday night. FUN!!!
I went shopping for clothes, properly for the 1st time in 4 yrs on Friday. It was brilliant! I have found the most amazing shop, specialises in size 14-30, which is just amazing and the clothes are brilliant! I took my sister, am amazed that I am now a 14-16 and she is a 20-22. I like being the skinny sister for once. The best thing is that they have an online shop too, so I can check out their new stuff before I head down there. I bought the most gorgeous outfit for the engagement party, just need shoes now, and nice weather!
Hayley is due for her chicken pox needle, they have a session on the 18th, do you think she will be okay by the 27th if I go to that one?
Apart from that, not much else happening, DH hates his job, but has agreed to stick it out for me and the mortgage. Still busy working on the house, but will get there eventually.
Dinky - woo hoo for your shopping spree and double woo hoo for being the skinny sister! I'd like to be that one day... tho my 2 youngest sisters are a size 8-10 so I dunno if it's ever gonna happen!! hahaha Me a size 10?? I just can't imagine it.
As for the chicken pox needles... put em off as long as you can!!! Naah.. I only say that because Gab didn't react too well to them. We had a few days of her feeling sick and one of her vomitting.... twas a PITA.
Awwww poor Hayley and her head! Ouchies! I'm glad it's not too serious tho.
Trish - LOL @ Noah being a big la-la
Just made a lasagne. I cooked the sauce overnight in the SC then refridgerated it today so all the flavours have infused through the meat. Yum! My cheese sauce turned out beautiful and smooth... yum! Looks like it's gonna be a grrrrreat lasagne!
I think Neil is chomping at the bit for it because he's cut up the salad already, hehehe.
Gab is still asleep, can you believe it? She went down at 1pm.... it's now 5pm. I should have had a nap too!!!
Ok I am here and going to post!!
Ok deep breathe
Deb: How cute Gab jumping it is so funny how entertaining they can be!
Fi: Bllllahhhhhh nothing to tell you I have been chatting to you today
Trish: Ohh sweet Tehya I can see the trouble you can have in sporting stores with all the fun balls
Tanya: Hope all is going well and Violet is a treasure
Dinky:Hope Hayley is ok.poor little mite
Ok me me me me me me
Eliza has come up in chicken pox spots 3 in total so it looks like a side effect from the vacination they are not bothering her but daycare may lol
We had a party yesterday in Melbourne Eliza was mental it was funny she just ran and ran and ran wanting to play with the older kids of course there was the kids that screamed when my daughter just ran towards them lol Nick told one of his cousins that his son was a sissy yes lovely tact that is my husband. We had a lovely trip home I had forgotton to take her bottle for some milk before home luckily we found a 24hr chemist a 7-11 and a microwave on the trip home lots of $$$ later she was still screaming.
95kms later she is still screaming high pitched...there was no love in the car:)
I'm watching supersize me and feeling ill maybe I wont eat Macas for a long time. No bathroom still least the riff between Me ILs and DH has ceased aahh what a pain in the a$$
Bec
OH some other girls are coming in to post. YAY!!! Not that I'm bored with Deb or Fi, but it is nice that someone else bothers to pop in to post.
Bec, sounds like you had a lovely car trip. NOT. Tehya is generally ok in the car but Noah was a right little mongrel. Couldn't go 5 minutes without him screaming the car out.
Dinky, poor Hayley, I hope that her head is healing good and not too sore for her. YAY for being the skinny sister too. I'm always the skinny or fat sister. I'm the only one ;) Tehya had a reaction to her chicken px needle too. She ended up with a fine rash all over her torso, it was slightly raised but didn't really bother her. I hope the rest of your girls are doing well.
Deb, your lasange sounds yummo. I usually just make mine up all in one go, don't worry about using the sc for it.
Fi, I hope you got a goodnights sleep and Jenna is letting you have some rest.
Well, today is the big day for Joel. He tried on his new clothes lastnight, too late if they didn't fit. He looked really cute in them too. I was a good mummy and ironed all of our clothes for the day lastnight so I just have to get off my butt and get into the shower and to wake Joel up. Mark has taken the day off to watch the little ones. Joel's dad Shane and his wife are coming up there too. I would rather that she doesn't go though, I can't cope with her at the best of times, let alone stressful ones. She'll be picking the wrong day to open her mouth today.
Going to take mum up there with us, so atleast she can listen and take in any stuff that I might miss.
Ok, better go. Hope all have a great day and make sure you don't miss me too much being away from here for a day ;)
Bec - well howdy stranger!!! Still no bathroom?? What's going on? Poor Eliza getting a few chicken pox spots. Childcare shouldn't stress too much - apparently she isn't contageous (at least that's what my MCHN told me when she did Gabby's ones). We didn't get the spots - just everything else (irritability, vomitting, driving Mummy nuts!! hehehe). LOL @ Nick calling his cousin's son a sissy! I bet that went down like a led balloon.
Trish - All the best for today, mate. I hope they're not too hard on Joel - just put the fear of God into him and that'll probably make him think hard before doing something so silly again. I'll be thinking of you - SMS me anytime if it gets too stressful.
The lasagne was beeeaaaauuutiful! I used to make it up all in one hit too... until I discovered how yummy it was out of the SC. Very time consuming tho.
Aww thanks for that Deb. Atleast you had the mince done the day before so you just need to assemble the next day really. I used to do mine from scratch, tomato sauce and the cheese sauce too. Now I just buy the sauces and put it all togehter. So much easier :) I have a few more kids now too.
Hehehe yeah... I imagine the hassle of taking 2 days to make something is a little difficult with 4 kids ;)
OMG.. just put Gabby's baby einstein DVD on (she hasn't seen them in the months) and she LOVES the numeracy one. She's totally glued to the TV. Ahhh electronic babysitter!! muahahahaahahahaha!
*wwwwwwaaaaaaah* I just went to delete something & accidentally wiped my entire post and it was a huuuuge one!!! I'll try again LOL!
Zander is going really well at the moment. He's starting to say short sentences! The latest is "oh my go" which is oh my goodness and comes from Granma. He also likes to say "ummm maaah" when he does something wrong & that one's from ym younger sister.
He loves to play outside at the moment & would live out there if I let him. He runs around like a lunatic & generally has a great time. He's not jumping from the ground just yet but is jumping off things.
Chicken Pox needles were fine over here, but he did have a minor temp for a few days afterwards. It was't much though, not enough to warrant nurofen or panadol. Oh oh he's sleeping through still  I am so so happy about that one. I think he has finally got it :D
LOL at the electronic babysitter Deb! When I put on Finding Nemo one day (and also Shrek another day) we discovered that Zander will watch for 12mins max! We gave him his first taste of Burton with Corpse Bride the other day. That effort resulted in a lot of dancing & spinning round!! I think he's going to be a fan like his mummy!!
Good luck today Trish, I hope it all goes well :fingerscrossed:
Fi, how's the nose now? I love Jenna's dress :) My um has heaps of old dress patterns from when we were little so I pan on hijacking them when we have a little girl! I was thinking of asking for an overlocker for Christmas as well LOL!
Awww @ Zander and all his new words! Very clever. I had to laugh at the "ummmm maaaah" - that's funny! Gab is the same... loves the great outdoors (which sometimes isn't good... esp. since I've been told to watch for snakes... arrgh!). Good to hear his chicken pox needles went well. LOL @ Zander liking Burton with Corpse Bride... sounds interesting!
Yep not sure what MIL would think about me allowing her grandson to watch a cartoon where half the characers are dead LOL!
Hehehe...she'd probably think the same as what she did about Zander wearing black! ;)
Yep true!
Damn, damn, damn! Gabby has discovered the fish pond! She's ok... didn't try to jump in, LOL. Bloody Neil must be taking her out there to feed the fishy's... so now she wanders around the pond (and the really narrow little path running thru the middle) saying "Fissy fissy". So cute but I really didn't want her to know about the ponds. They're covered with chook wire but still dangerous.
Aaah well she had to discover it sometime! At least they have the wire over them.
Yep... so now I just have to watch for snakes and the ponds, LOL. Ahh gotta love the country!
I want to get a kiddy seat for my bike so that Gab and I can ride down to the post office to get our mail in summer. As it is, I walk in the middle of the road atm JIC there's a snake someone, LOL. Lucky there's not much traffic!
Hey Deb, you need a trailer like mine :D.. the girls love it! And you can put two kiddies in there ;)
As for snakes, just remember they can't hear, but sense vibrations throught the ground... so if you are scared of walking though long grass, stamp your feet... ;) (should make for some funny viewing)
Tanya
LOL I can just imagine Deb & Gabby walking down their backyard stomping the whole way!! We saw someone with a trailer at the beach one day & it looks so cool.
I think the only prob I have with the trailer is riding on busy roads... so I don't! I ride on the foot path (slow).
BTW Sarah, love the hoodie :) Wato said he wants to keep it and get the birthday girl something else! LOL...
Hahaha... yeah Gab and I just stomped down to the post office and back! Now that you've told me that, Tanya, I'll be stomping everywhere! My neighbours will think I'm loopy (tho they wouldn't be too far off the mark!! hahaha). Ohhh yeah.. the trailer is a good idea! Then there'd be room for when I get parcels!
Sarah - got the 2 t-shirts today! yay! I'll put them on Gab soon and take some photos. She's in a foul mood atm because I made her get back in the pram after having a run around at the park. Gosh I'm a mean Mum!
You are a mean mum, how dare you tell your daughter to get back in the pram ;) Glad you like the t-shirts, can't wait to see some piccies!
