Hmmm betcha she was wrong, Fi. If she didn't seem that confident, how can you know for sure? Can you maybe just go to your GP for a second opinion? No point in you spending hours on the fitball if bubba isn't breech afterall?
Yay for Jenna's sleep-thru. Glad she's on the mend tho it sounds like she's still a shadow of her former self. Poor chook.
We're supposed to be going to Warrnambool today but Neil offered to help someone move some sheep... that has taken allllll morning. Urrgh... Gab hasn't had a sleep so I am hoping she sleeps in the car. It's only an hour-long drive but, hey... an hour is better than nothin'!
Bought some clothes for Gab on ebay. My goodness they are adorable! The ebay shop is called Babybless boutique. Really cute clothes at reasonable prices. I just wish it was warmer today so that I could put her in some of them! hehehe
-
Hey ladies, just read through all the pages of postings... all 7 of them!!
Glad everyone's kiddies of going well, they're getting bigger and cuter :)
Declan's the same-barely talks (can, but prefers to whisper) runs everywhere, can jump and twirl :) He's had about 4 hair cuts, his hair grows so quickly (there's a pic of him on Nickers wesbite, at the junie meetup we had today. he's got the biggest grin :)
Anyway im off to bed, its nearly 0030 and im almost falling asleep. THANK GOODNESS no plans for tomorrow, i'd like a sleepin... hopefully that happens.
-
Just a quickie! Deb I found you "maybe if it was warmer today" comment quite funny - it was 37deg when I was driving home from work yesterday afternoon at 4.35pm, no idea what it was in the middle of the day though. Worst thing is today is supposed to be hotter
-
Its going to be a very nice 22-25deg here today. Just the way I like it!
-
Hehe Sarah... yep... wasn't very hot here at all yesterday! Yuk @ 37 degrees. That ain't right!
Simone - aww Declan is such a spunk. LOL @ him preferring to whisper and OMG @ the hair cuts! Gabby will be in high school before I have to cut her hair :(
Had a good day yesterday. We found a dining table the we wanted at one furniture store but for a little more than we wanted to spend. So we went and searched for a shop that is apparently closing down. We eventually found it (after gallivanting halfway around Warrnambool!) and they had the exact same one but for $100 cheaper! Woo hoo! So we can now eat like a normal family up at the table. Gab loved it last night!
I also scored myself some new shoes at a shoe outlet that I HAD to go into. We picked up our air con too so hopefully it'll be installed one of these days.
Gab is a big girl now. She hasn't slept with a sleeping bag the last 2 nights. I'm wondering if that was one of the things annoying her the other night? Hmm... I'm glad to not have to use them anymore as she was starting to get a bit big for them. With summer approaching, I wasn't keen for her to require one anymore either.
-
WOW Have I missed out on a lot. Will try to catch up quickly.
Fi, be careful what you wish for weather wise, especially being pg. It's supposed to be around 37 here like Sarah said. I will be outside all day too, hope I don't get burnt.
I hope poor little Jenna is getting better now. The rotavirus is a buggar. Very contagious too.
Deb, LOL on the booby pics hun. Yeah I agree, go and print one of your own up an stick in the shed and say nothing to Neil, see if he realises or not ;) Haven't lloked at Gab's pctures yet but I will soon. Hope you had a better night with her lastnight.
Sarah, I wll be sure to grab the paper tomorrow, we usually do anyway. I had a giggle too when I read Fi's comment, thought that she wouldn't want to be up here in Sydney. Poor Zander being scared of the man, you know kid's are great at sensing weird people out :)
Simone, I only wish my kids would whisper. Seems I have loud mouths. My big boys were like that with haircuts. Not so the little 2, must be like their dad, hair very slow to grow ;)
Tanya, IKWYM with the cossie bottoms too, Tehya has the same issues. Poor skiny butt.
Bec, I use a normal hairbursh on Tehya's hair too, I found the baby ones just didn't go through her hair good enough. Not that she has heaps, probably just a normal ammount for her age, it is getting long at the back but because it curls up still looks short.
Off to the races today for a hen's day. Going to be stinking hot. Lucky I called the girl yesterday, it was supposed to be a fancy dress, 80's style, but isn't anymore. I went in shopping and got myself a new dress, shoes, bangle and a clutch purse. It's a black strapless number with white polka dots, think Grease style. Very nice. Going to get my hair done this morning, thinking of putting it up seeing it is going to be way too hot.
Better get my butt into gear, we are leaving at 10.30. It's going to be a lonnnngggg day, then we are supposed to be going to a pub/club tonight. Don't know if I can do that too. Oh my, I am getting old !!!
Tehya is doing well, her top eye teeth have cut but her bottom are still giving her grief. She has been so sooky lately and the heat is knocking her around. Grabbed Noah from preschool on Thursday, drove 5 minutes to get home, we walked through the door and she spewed everywhere. Her cheeks glow red. Poor bubba.
-
I'm going to post other wise there is a mamoth post that needs to be done
Trish: Bugga the eye teeth it is funny how they seem to be the ones that hurt the most. Have fun your day sounds great big but great
Deb: Yah for the table, sounds funny to hear about heading off to Warnambool you country kids. Yeah about the sleeping bag hmm starting to think about summer and it, the other day we did without it so here is hoping
Sarah: OOhh cant wait to see the article, how exciting hope Zander is putting in a few decent nights sleep
Simone: Hope you had a good days rest, you must be kept on your toes all the time. Declan sounds adorable I'll have to go and check him out :)
Fi: seems like ages with the illness we have to catch up next week, I'm working Wed and Thurs.
The silly shower man was suppose to come and finish installing it and never showed up so I'm narky today and Nick is bearing the brunt of it. I really feel like a white choc magnum with berries YES I AM going to get one
Hope everyone is good. Our Miss slept throu last night and is finally getting the hang of sleep settling herself to sleep with no tears or crying. I was saying to Fi the other day how much better she sleeps at night if she has a good sleep thru the day...funny you would think if they were tired they would need to sleep all night. Guee what crappy tv tonight
Bec
-
Trish - how did you go yesterday? Did you have a ball? Did ya get a bit drunky-poo??
Bec - grrrr @ the shower screen man for not showing up! Enjoy that magnum.
I'm wollowing in sorrow because my temp dropped this morning so it looks like I'm not preggers for another month. *sigh*... ah well.
-
Sarah comes in & whispers "could be implantation Deb"
Heh, not sure about Trish but someone else got drunky-poos last night!!! Had a BBQ with Piper's family (Zander's little buddy) and Mel & I went through a bottle of wine & 3/4 of a bottle of champagne. Been aaaages since I've had a few drinks & it was great!
-
Awww that's great, Sarah! Nothing like a chance to let your hair down, hey? Probably just the thing you needed too. No hangover today?
Dunno about implantation. Just have that real AF feeling happening. I know, I know... I thought that when I got a BFP with Gab but, yeah... just not confident.
-
Nup!! Don't hate me, but I don't get them :p
No comment on the other thing for the moment ;)
-
Oh yay for no hangovers!! I WISH I didn't get them but I get them worse now that I've had Gab. Thankfully I've learned to stop when I'm getting too drunk so I don't feel too bad the next day... but every now and then I go a little overboard!!
Gab has been doing the funniest thing lately. We've been trying to teach her animal sounds and she sometimes does really well. Annnnyway, lately everything apparently says; "Moo!".
"What does the dog say, Gabby?"
"Moo!"
"What does a sheep say, Gabby?"
"Moo!".
Yesterday she was wandering around with her peek-a-block train. Now, she knows that trains say "Toot toot!" but when I asked her, the train apparently says, "Moo!". She cracks up laughing after saying moo because we laugh. Oh dear!
This morning she was so clever. When I am making her breakfast/lunch/dinner I ask her to go and grab a bib so she goes running to the loungeroom shouting "Bibby!" at the top of her lungs. She goes to the drawer in the coffee table and grabs a bib (the tries to put it on but I always have to help). Yesterday was funny. She ran to the drawer but opened it with too much force so she fell on her butt. I laughed my head off!
This morning there weren't any bibs in the drawer so she ran to her room and to the drawer where I have some other bibs and shouted "BIBBY!". I had no idea she even knew about those bibs! Goes to show they take in more than we think!
-
Deb, LOL at Gab falling on her butt. Very cute though, her calling out for her bibby. Fingers crossed for you that AF stay's away. What does the doggy say Gab?? :)
Sarah, saw your article, you guys look great. Shame you couldn't see more of Zander's shirt hey ;) YAY on having a few drinks too, hope your not worse for wear this morning.
Bec, Hope your Magnum was yummy. What PITA with the shower screen guy. YAY on Eliza sleeping good for you too.
Yes, I had a great day, very long, hot and tiring but great. I had a few moments where I was ready to up and go home but stuck it out until about 12.15am. My feet are bloody killing me, I had very high heels on. Got out to the races about 11am, the grog was already flowing at the hen's house when I got there so by 10.30 I was drinking a cruiser, and another on the bus on the way down. Got myself a bottle of wine at the races and sat on that for a wine, wine and the heat don't mix. Left and went back to Tina's (hen) for pizza around 6ish and got to the Mean Fiddler at 7.30ish. What a day. Tina had a great day and was very "merry", even going out and air guitaring and singing by herself on the dancefloor. LMAO. My face was hurting from smiling so much, now I know what I missed about not going out with this girl. We all have little made up name tags to wear, mine was Clee Torres. Say it fast and close together ;) This guy comes up to me and say's what's your name reading my tag and he goes Oh, are your a taurus ??wtf ?? No I'm Cleetorres. What I don't get it, Mate i'm Clitoris, I still don't get it, Yeah Obviously !!! hehe, we also had these little glow in the dark doodle straws. This guy stops me and say's What's that ?? your dildo. No, That's the size of your d*ck !! It soon shut him up.
I called my daddy to come and pick me up around 12.15 am and was home snuggly in bed by about 12.45am. Wish I could say I got sleep though, Tehya was a shocker. Mark let me sleep in though until nearly 10 am, then when I got up he made me a cuppa and bacon and eggs. Hm does that mean I need to put out later ????
Hope all are having a great weekend.
-
I wouldn't be putting out Trish - but then thats a big effort for Mark huh? Nice of him to let you sleep in :) Sounds like a big day. The last couple of hens nights I've been to I've been dead sober, so I have to say I haven't had all that much fun being silly. Oh well.
Bed - I hope that its a good dip, not a bad one. And cute little gabby.
Sarah - Are you going to post the articlesomewhere for us to look at? And lucky you on no hangover! And even luckier you getting to have a few drinkies. Sounds relaxing.
Bec - jenna is much better, almost back to her hyperactive self, but she crashes really quickly, and its the end of the world. She says "NO" to everything at the moment, and if she doesn't say anything you know she maybe wants it. I dont think she's remotely contagious anymore - I would say that stopped about Wed/Thurs minimum. It will be nice to get out and play wiht some other kids this week - I think she has missed it.
Just been to the market - I got some yummy soaps, and beautiful hand spun/hand dyed wool for Mum for Christmas. I dont know what I'll make with it - I think I'll let her decide.
Back to sewing - I am halfway through a cool quilt top of all rainbow batiks on black background. Its coming together alot better than I thought it would. Please sleep for 2hrs Jenna!!
-
Had to go to MIL and FIL for a shower they were not home but it still made me angry lol. Eliza has realised that sleeping is good she slept till 9am this morning and is back down at 11 yeah what a good day! We are suppose to go to SIL for a birthday party but after last weeks driving issues we lol I decided we are going. I'm not organised enough anyway!!
Deb: I know nothing re temping I hope it is implantation
Sarah: I have to look at a bottle of champers and I get a headache, sounds like a nice night out
Trish: Sounds like a hoot and I'm with Fi no rewards for fathers lol
FiFi: lol bet you just get of the puter and Jenna wakes up cause we forget about time.
Bec
-
Trish - glad you had a good night. LOL @ the blokes trying to chat you up. Silly boys! Good on Mark for letting you sleep in too. That's nice :)
Fi - glad Jenna is on the mend :)
Bec - LOL @ not being organised enough to go to the party - sounds like a good enough excuse for me! So did you get a shower today?
I've just been pottering around unpacking more stuff - mainly the fiddly crap that I couldn't be bothered dealing with when we first moved in, hehehe.
-
yeh Deb had a shower thanks , I'm sure I get grumpy cause I havent seen water
Bec
-
LOL... I'd be grumpy too without a shower!
-
OH that would be the worst going without a shower. I remember at my old house when they decided to re spray the bath tub and do the tiles in there, couldn't use the bathroom for 3 days, not fun when you have a houseful of kids either. Lucky we only lived 6 houses away from mum's, but still a PITA to have to leave to wash somewhere else.
Don't worry, it's highly unlikely Mark wil be getting any rewards, I am stuffed, starting to dreg out now. Would love to curl up with a blankie and crash out. I can't believe the temp change. Yesterday we were pushing 40 degree's and today it's lucky to be 20 degree's. Damn windy too.
Fi, I hope Jenna had a nice long sleep for you. Tehya and Noah crashed in the car earlier when we were out so no chance of an afternoon nap out of them now :(
Deb, we still have some boxes in the laundry that are unpacked. Sinply because there is no room for the things. A shame as they are some framed pictres that need a table to go on and we have no room for one.
-
Trish - I've got stacks of framed photos and stuff that need to go out too. Only thing is, Gab can reach up on tables now so she just pulls them down. I guess the nice things need to go away whilst the kids are little. I've definitely got to get more frames for hanging photos on the walls. Atm, I've hung photos where there were already hooks and it looks soooo funny. Nothing is straight and in really odd spots. I'll have to get onto that soon.
I've had to banish all my teaching stuff to the shed. There's just no room inside. I want to try and keep the spare room organised (I say "keep" but it's not there yet!) so that if I do get preggo soon, I can start doing it up for the new baby. I'm not sure if I'll keep Gab in the same room. It's the biggest room but the other room looks out to the backyard. Gab is more likely to sleep thru the dog barking or people outside than a new baby. Decisions, decisions! One good thing tho is the master bedroom is bigger than at our last house so the cradle will fit in our room if needs be. I might be more comfortable having a baby in our room now that I've BTDT. Gab always slept better in her own room so we never really bothered.
-
See I've always had my babies in my room. But, none of my kids have been fantastic sleepers. Just seems that Tehya is the worst. Anything that goes past the front, like that gargo last week wakes her up, even someone using the damn toilet paper coz the roll thing jingles wakes her up... It truely is a pain to have a baby that is such a poor and light sleeper. She sure doesn't get it from me.
Maybe you can have bub in your room while it is little and still keep Gab where she is and then as bub and Gab get older set about making the transition from one room to another ????
-
Just posted the article on Zander's site. The links are in my orignal thread here.
-
Might be an idea, Trish... tho, if I have a boy, I'd rather him have the smaller room. I know that sounds mean but girls just have so much more "stuff" iykwim?? ;)
OMG @ Tehya being such a light sleeper. Must drive you bonkers. Gab slept through the vacuum cleaner the other day!! LOL
Awww what a great photo, Sarah!! They've captured you guys so well!
-
Deb it is shocking having a baby that sleepslike that, Then you feel like you have to have a silent household as it is so hard to get her to sleep in the first place the last thing you want is someone to wake her up. I feel like Nazi when she is asleep, no one is allowed to go for a poo as they all make too much noise and haven't worked out how to do the paper quietly. Apart from me that is, then you have the next issue of flushing !!!
-
Hehehe... u need to adopt the old "If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down" hahaha.
Maybe sound-proof Tehya's room with egg cartons?? ;)
Would she sleep with music going? I have music for dreaming going for Gab for her day sleeps so it drowns out all the sounds of the day??
-
Tehya has music playing in there day and night. Hell, I'd out ear muffs on her if I thought it would mean more sleep.
And as for the mellow yellow, that is already adopted here :)
-
We are yellow and mellow here too. Just turning the bathroom tap on in the ensuite (which is between our room and hers) wakes her up sometimes. I have a glass of water beside the sink that I wash my hands with during the night so as not to turn the taps on.
Jenna is a shockingly light sleeper too. She has always stopped the instant the car stops - so coming into Geelong through the 80 zone (about 5-10kms) there are traffic lights, and you can guarantee she will wake up by about the 3rd or 4th one. Drives us mental.
Same as the pram - the second it stops, she wakes up.
Oh well - par for the course.
My daughter is finally back!!! She was back on form tonight - it was wonderful to have the hyper little devil back. All smiles and kisses and laughter. Just wonderful.
I'll have to go and check out Sarah's photos :D
-
YAY for Jenna being hyper again :) Good to hear that she is better Fi.
Fingers crossed the new bub will be a better sleeper, afterall bub will have to sleep through the noise of a toddler.
Deb, I finally checked out the new pics of Gabby, love the ones of her in her cossie and gumboats, very cute. I think the last pic you have on there would look great as a black and white. Just a suggestion, looks great in colour too though which is why I thought B&W too.
Tehya was down by 7.30 tonight, hopefully she sleeps great, she was such a sooky cow today. Going to bed soon, very tired still from my big day out.
-
Did it work with Tehya and Noah Trish?? ;) The thing is, her father is so bloody loud, so I'm surprised she didn't get used to him.
And in hospital she was the baby that slept through all the noise. They had her right next to the radio all night! The nurse there even said to me - "This one will be a good sleeper". Cow - she probably jinxed me. I wont let her near the next one! But I wont be up in the wards all things going well, so hopefully she wont get her hands on Jenna. It'll be me in the double bed all night, and the new bubs in the bass. And hopefully no Jenna, although the midwife did tell me on Wed that we are able to bring a portacot in for Jenna to sleep in if we wish, and Shane is able to stay the night too. Not sure about that.......
-
Eliza slept throu a circular saw cutting beams in the bathroom which is outside her room. ATM FIL is fond of the angle grinder outside her room so there really is nothing that wakes her up just going to bed use to be our issue....finally when I had enough of her whinging she now knows once in bed we dont get back up. Harvey Norman have 15c photos...trying to burn photos to CD as they only let you do 200 per customer and get Nick to drop a CD in for me ...Bet I find it in the car after the sale has finished;)
Bec
Do you like my spunky girl :)
-
Nope not at all Fi, but you'd already know that. Hope you have more luck than me ;)
Is there someone you could leave Jenna with overnight. Would be nice for you to have the first night together alone, just you Shane and Bub.
When Tehya was born, my second midwife says to us afterwards when Tehya was having a yawn, I made a commentabout her being tired, I just did all of th hard work. Anyway midwife says, you watch, babies that keep their mum up alnight with a long labour are night owls. I think she bloody jinxed me too.
Although I do vaugely remember there was a time early on that Teyha was a great sleeper. Until she went into hospital and the it all came undone :(
Oh yeah, spoke too soon before. Just after I did my last post Teh woke up having a cry. I gave her a cuddle and she's back to sleep.
Better g to bed now, Mark just propositioned me and I said No I was too tired and here I am on BB :)
-
Bec, I saw that with Domanye up here. 15cent prints for 15 days. Is that the same as Harveys ??
Lucky you with Eliza sleeping like that. I only wish. And as for going to sleep, that is half of the struggle here.Tehya can not and will not self settle or re settle. Stubborn little girl.
-
Fi - woo hoo for the old Jenna being back!
Bec - LOVE the photo of Eliza! Very cute! I get 15c photos all the time, hehe... AND they get delivered to my door (well... post office these days, hehehe).
Trish - thanks for the tip re. the photo. I really should do B&W more often. Gotta get photoshop installed (we got the puter reformatted when we moved).
-
Hey Deb, I played with Gab's pic and have sent a copy through to you. If you want to email me an original sized one I will see what I can do. I just converted that one to black and white and added a blue filter to it.
-
Aww thanks, Trishy! Have sent the full size one to you :)
-
-
Will forward it to ya, Sarah :)
-
Shoooooooooooooooes
Hey Deb,
Paige is also obsessed with shoes except when she really has to wear them when we go out & stuff, but at home it's shoes fetish galore.
Hi Fi, it's Tash, Deb's friend. How is everything going with your pregnancy? How are you coping being pregnant with a toddler? I hope to be in that situation soon and have wondered how it is coz Paige is so cute & helpful but geeeez she's a cheeky monkey, lol.
Miss you Deb :crying: , I'm going to have to come up & see you sooner rather than later
Tash
-
HI TASH!! What a nice surprise to see you in here!
How's miss Paigey going?? I miss her soooo much!
Yes! Come and visit!! Any time!
-
Paige
She is doing very well, she is gluded to the hip of the new puppy.
I gave her a minor haircut today to try & generate some new growth.
How's Gabby?
