JK - Crab shell soup - a traditional french bisque flavoured with brandy, fennel and cream....I'm not sure it's going that well, so I might need to come up with a plan b. I just tried to blend some of the soup and discovered that the seals on the blender had gone and I covered the walls of the kitchen with aerosol soup....now cleaned up, but I'm losing enthusiasm for the project!
Eggs Florentine sounds good...that may well be the fall back plan!

Beth seems to have ended with the Pixie's eyes, eye brows and nose, but my lips - it's fun watching her character develop.

Belle - the wrap was a gift from the UK, not sure where to get one locally...it feels great.

Tasia - Stay well clear of the artificial diet products, just make an effort to eat natural whole foods. Try to reduce artificial products from your diet and let your body do what it is designed to do naturally.

SW - My god there is life in Canberra, the RSS feed of photos had not been updated for so long that I was beginning to worry!

everyone.... just a quick pop in, not sure where today went! Beth missed a nap because she was unsettled last night (and a little bit tonight as well) so was a bit behind today.
Missy are you BF'ing? might be why you're hungry all the time - I am too! Otherwise you're probably just trying to keep your energy up! Try not to worry about Liam I'm sure he will be fine.
Belle, a family friend brought it over from the UK, I think she got it from Marks & Spencer. It's really cute - everyone comments on it.
SW great to hear from you. Good on you for persevering with BF. I had a problem with my left side for a while - she didn't seem to attach properly but it seems a bit better now. Hope it sorts itself out for you... bummer about Mel - I was starting to get worried about her when she didn't post - she's usually so prolific.
Tasia, your hubby needs to pull his head in. You just had a baby already. You don't need diet pills. your weight will stabilise over time and right now it's the last thing you need to worry about.
Kel - what a shocker! you poor thing, thinking of you hon, hope you can get some rest and everyone starts to feel better real soon.
feeb - poor you and poor little jacob chucking all the time. hopefully he will grow out of it.
I can't believe how much weight Beth has put on.... although she has developed a bit of a double chin in the last week or so! I guess I can stop worrying whether I am feeding her enough!
tenny, JK, Zee, Tan and everyone....

Jess- I know I just only had a baby, try telling him that. One time he said to me "How do all the other ladies do it, they lose the weight after one month" That's wat he said. I don't plan to take any medicaton for dieting NO WAY, I just wanted to see if u can get them over the counter but yeah no, I'm not taking anything while TTC again.

Feeb- Poor bubba I really does hope he stops vomiting & starts feeding well but it's good that he is putting on weight

SW- I will not take anything if TTC we haven't started yet but we will in a months time. My hubby says thing that hurt me but he doesn't see it, I do. I used to cry myself to sleep at nite at thing he would say, & I would not say anything, but NOW I've become much stronger & if he says anything mean to me I would talk back & I have & he's like "where did u get that attitude from" & I'm like "I'm with the attitude, look urself in the mirror before you start telling me I have an attitude problem." Oh SW u don't understand, It shouldn't have to be like this, we are married. I can go on, but don't want to bore you.

Zee- He needs a slap across the face & if things get out of hand I might give it to him.

Belle- Yeah I will avoid all diet pills & shakes, I do excercise every 2nd day. I just really want to work on my thighs I don't want to tone them I want to lose the fat, but might do all that properly after the 2nd baby, see how we go.

Missy- He knows how to be nice to the ladies, just not to me, that's how I see it.

SW - My god there is life in Canberra, the RSS feed of photos had not been updated for so long that I was beginning to worry!
blame my parentals They're - ummm - how to put it nicely - high maintenance!!! We were either dealing with them, feeding, changing nappies, playing or sleeping!

btw - people have been asking about eye tracking, neck strength, etc... Alyssa was tracking us from about 3 days after she was home from hosp. We didn't notice, but MIL is a child physio and pointed it out that when she saw mummy or daddy she'd watch us like a hawk, following where we were moving. Also was able to triangulate sounds and turn to mummy's voice. Has gotten better each day, but MIL picked up on it really early. Was VERY exciting =) Her neck is also very, very strong. She's been able to move her head from one side to the other during tummy time since 2 days old, and frequently lifts her head to look up at me or look for where I am. Makes me melt =)))

My brother gave us a bunch of high contrast pattern toys and books, so she's been LOVING them. They've been wonderful for getting her to track and move her head/neck and such.

Her skin is still a little dry, so we're bathing every 2-3 days and using alpha keri oil in her bath (no soap, just the oil). She's also just come out with a milk rash in the last two days, so looking a little red,but still soooooo damned cute!

And the smiles! Oh, they are so amazing =) I fall more and more in love with each smile =)

And like so many others, been a bit snotty. We're considering investing in whichever drug company produces Fess Little Noses

As for weight gain, she put on 230g in her first week since leaving hosp, and another 400g in the following 9 days. We'll take her back in to a drop in clinic this thurs for another weigh in. Very healthy and thriving on breastmilk (even if my right BB is suffering still!!)

Pixie and Belle - funny how they prefer one side over the other!! Do you both feel any fuller or anything on either side? My right still gets a little engorged, but nothing too badly... She just seems to always fuss with it.

Well, think that's about it for us... full update =) personals some other time - she's just about to start screaming for a feed!! Been fussing and chatting to herself for an hour =)

Tasia: Thats horrible of your DH!! Mines not much better, he told me during my pregnancy that I look fat not pregnant. I don't think he has said anything since but I am still about 10kgs off what I was before Jayden and only 2kgs before Ashlea. If he ever says anything I say I'm pregnant (or now I say just had a baby) Whats your excuse?? As long as you feel good don't worry what he says and you definitely don't want to be doing anything other than eating right and excerising if you are TTC now/soon. PM me if you want to chat

SW: Ashlea's skin is still a bit dry...guess its t be expected when they are over cooked. I'm just using sorbelene, but I think I need to get something better as its not really doing too much. YAY for the weight gain!

ThePixie/Bear: Must have been the night for it, Ashlea was really unsettled last night too! Hope Beth settles tonight for you! Gorgeous pics of her!! Oh no for the vomit, but YAY for the weight gain! Actually Ash vomited in the bath last night, it wasn't huge but the biggest one she's done.

Missy: YAY on startling Liam, I agree though he is probably just used to noises. Ashlea doesn't wake up to Jayden screaming the house down or the dogs barking.

Belle: Did you get some good sleep?

Zee: Lucus' weight gain is great, I've heard doesn't matter how much they gain (BF babies) as long as they are gaining and not losing.

Feeb: Jayden was a spewy baby....its annoying cause you gotta change their clothes all the time, not to mention they weight gain thing. Have they suggested getting an ultrasound done to check his valve....can't remember what its called but its common in 1st born boys. Jayden had an ultrasound done at 3wks old for it, its when they valve doesn't open correctly and makes them vomit...something like that anyway. Jayden didn't have it he was just spewy.

Kell: Oh poor Jesse & your DH!!! I hope you and Keira don't get it!!

Tenny: How are you feeling today, has Hayden got it as well? Ashlea has a bit of a snotty nose but she is ok.

    back Pam!

Yesterday morning Jayden woke up and his eyes were fine, we still went to the Dr's as he has had a cold for a few weeks now so we have AB's and some eye drops JIC the conjunctivitis comes back. Ashlea as I said just has a bit of a snotty nose but otherwise fine.

Well thats my attempt at personals.....sorry if I missed anyone to those I did miss. We are staying home ALL day today, we might venture to the park but probably not...the back yard might be the furtherest we get. Better check on Ashlea, she's meant to be sleeping so I can have a shower.

Hi all, Im still around just havent been posting much coz we've been busy & I havent been well.

Anyone who's partners tell them they are fat, tell them to get stuffed. It took 9 months to put all that weight on & they cant expect it all to fall of instantly after giving birth.

Maddi's doing well, she's decided its fun to sleep all day & not at night so we are napping whenever possible during the day. Have the health centre visit tomorrow morning so will hopefully be able to get online & post her weight gain, etc

    Best wishes to all. xox

    Good afternoon all!

Hi Belle, your photos of your two DD are really lovely. what little cuties.

Skittle - i hope you are managing to sneak enough sleep during the day, i am sure that Maddi will start getting used to the night soon.

Hi Missy. I didn't know you were going back to work so soon. How many days are you doing? also regarding Liam's hearing I would be surprised if he was gooing if he had hearing problems, I am pretty sure that they don't really make sounds like that if they haven't heard you guys talking etc.

Feeb - I was thinking about you and Jacob last night. when you feed him do you leave him dressed? I don't knw if you have tried it, but feeding him in just his nappy, or maybe with a singlet too, might help him not to fall asleep.

Hi Tan - it is nice just to stay home sometimes isn't it. specially if you have been going out a lot. Georgia and I are staying home today too, but we have already had a visitor. Seriously there is always someone here. at least i don't get bored I guess. not that I could get bored with G.

Hi to everyone else. gotta go check on the girl, she must be just about ready for a feed. BBL.

Missy: Liam's doing well if that was his first unsettled night!

Sal: Maddi will sort her days and nights out soon I'm sure, in the meantime hope you get plenty of nanna naps during the day! Good luck with her check up tomorrow....we go again on Friday.

Belle: Love to pics of Julia and Tara! Bugger about your lost post!

Jess: I like the idea of staying at home but I am very unmotivated to do anything when I am! If I go out I think of all these things I should be doing at home. I surprisingly had no visitors or phone calls other than from Chris. Hope you enjoyed your visitor. Life is never borning with kids haha.

Better go hang out another load of washing.....wish I had of started it earlier!!

    everyone

Sorry I've been MIA but I have been having a rough few nights with Isabel. She has been restless and not sleeping during the day and last night she was up every hour in the end we put her in our bed and she slept with us. Today I went for two walks just to get her to sleep and in the end she slept for 3 hours. My SIL came over this afternoon for my DH birthday and she said maybe that I should swaddle her again like a mummy (cause we have only been swaddling her from under her arms keeping her arms out) and it seems to have worked she has been asleep since 5:15pm having to resettle her twice so fingers crossed it actually works.

Missy - Good news about Liam sweet I'm sure everything is okay with his hearing. I agree with Jess if he is gooing he can hear.

Kell - How is your little boy?

Tannis - How are you sweet?

Belle - Love the pics of your girls, they are so gorgeous!

Tasia - I can't believe your DH said that to you... You don't look over weight in your photos sweet I really wouldn't listen to his comments, tell him to pull his head in especially if he wants you to give him another baby.

Well I better go and hang out the clothes I have just washed before our little MISS wakes.

Mary- Thanx sweety. I don't listen to him if he talks like that to me. I think have an average weight I'm not skinny & I'm not fat I'm just average. So he will better get used to it if we have another baby.

Missy- That's great sweety, ur lucky

    Tannis- Thanx sweety

    Hey ladies and gentleman.

Tasia - OMG. I can't believe he'd even say anything. He needs a good kick in the teeth.

Mez - We still swaddle Hayden at nights. I'm glad it helped with your DDs sleeping. I hope tonight is a better night for you guys.

Missy - That's great of Melissa. Sounds like you've raised a awesome thoughtful person. I hope Liam is more settled tonight. We've been very lucky here too. Hayden is a fantastic sleeper.

Tan - I hope you had a fantastic day at home. Great to hear Ashlea is going great guns!!!

Belle - Adorable photos. Your girls are cutie pies.

Skittle - Good luck with the check up tomorrow.

Not much from me. Hayden has got a cold too, but thankfully it's not as bad as mine. He's just been sleeping alot, and then just wants to be held when he's awake, but that's ok and I'm loving the smiles he's been giving me.
I finally got a good photo of a smile. Lol. I always seem to only just miss them with the camera, but I got a good one last night!!

    xoxo.

Tenny - I hope Hayden gets over his cold quickly. I know what you mean about the photos, catching a smile on camera at this stage is near on impossible. that is great that he is doing it so often though.

Mez - you poor thing, you must be soooo tired. I know I am tired and I am actually getting sleep. I hope the swaddling helps a bit tonight and that Isabel sleeps for you. maybe she was jerking herself awake. if you need anything hon, just let me know.

Missy - who looks after Liam when you are at work? what a good dd you have there. there are plenty of 14 year olds who avoid household chores like the plague. you must be a good mummy to have such a good girl.

Tan - I know what you mean about being unmotivated when you are at home. I struggle to get much done when Georgia is sleeping, it is way to easy to try and get some rest myself, or just watch some tv to relax. I'm trying to be good though and do some work around here.

Georgia is crying for a feed, but it is a bit early if I want her to sleep through. It is funny cos she goes about 7 hours overnight between feeds, and then about 4 and a half hours in the morning, and then about 4 hours and then around 3 and a half hours and then only 2 - 3 hours for the last feed. ok i gotta go. speak to you all tomorrow.

Jess - Hayden is like that. He's goes for like 7+hours during the night, and about 4 in the morning, and the rest is 3 hourly. He's a cheeky little chicken.

Hope you all have a great day tomorrow.
Off to feed Hayden and get ready for bed.
