Hey Tenny, sorry to hear you're feeling off.... what kind of weird? is it something you can explain? is it just hard to believe you're a mum again? or do you think it is something to do with your birth - you said it was a bit traumatic? Feel free to talk to us babe, or if you need some help, maybe see your GP or a counsellor?
It sounds to me like you're doing great with your two boys

Tenny.. i kinda know what you mean. Its funny. With Jesse as a baby i was so attached to him.. didnt want anyone else feeding him or holding him.. he was my baby. lol. But with Keira, shes still my baby and i love her just as much, but im happy to let someone else do all that iykwim. Its kinda weird.. like im use to Jesse just being around and him being like a big person.. and its weird having baby aswell thats kinda doesnt do much.. but yeh i know how you mean.

    Pink.. love the pics!!!!!

Pixie.. thanks hun. Glad everythings going well with you and Beth.

Mel.. oh hun i know how you feel. Youre not a bad mother at all. I wish i could trade Jesse in lately too! I know its not really his fault.. but this sickness on top of his usual terrible 2's and teething has been absolute hell. Im just so sick of it all. Hes now picking up but all i hear all day is whinge too. He'll have a tanty and throw something and then whinge at me to go pick it up and give it back to him! Like um NO! Then whinges more when i dont. Did Aricyn have Gastro a little while back? I remember you did. Yeh Jesse's had it now since Saturday.. so 6 days. But He is teething too so i think that has make the gastro worse and prolonged it all a bit too. But yeh hope we're at the end of it. Oh sweet re the pram! What type? Have fun tonight hun.

Well Jesse's managed to eat 2 potato gems and a few potato chips for dinner! woo!

Keira is doing well. Poor baby has been put on the back burner this last week. But shes going great guns. Slept through again the night before last from 10pm until 6am. Was a night i really needed it too so shes a star. Was back to her 3am wake up again last night though damn it! Looks like we're getting one sleep through a week.. but i aint complaining! Actually it was the night before last we upped her formula amount so im thinking the poor bugger must have been waking up starving!

Kell - WHOA! That's exactly how I feel, I just didn't really understand it or get it.

Elijah is 4 1/2 and he can do most things himself, so then adding a newborn that needs everything done, it was like starting all over again. I get it now.
I thought it was very strange I was feeling like I was when I first had Elijah, but this is my second baby, so I was like "Am I insane or what?" Lol.
Thank you for explaining it. That's so spot on!!! Thank you so much.

    Pixie - Thankyou. You too!

So how's AF things for everyone?
Have you got it back yet or anything?
I haven't yet, but I'm feeling like she's close by.

Just a quick question to everyone who is FF, how much are you giving each 'serve'?

Tenny - no AF here. Still have some very light bleeding tho, but every once and a whole I will get mild AF type pains which don't last very long. I hope I get at least some break from now till AF rears her ugly head again!

    Tasia.. here it is..
    Anzac Biscuits
    1 cup rolled oates
    1 cup plain flour
    1 cup sugar
    3/4 cup coconut
    125g butter
    2 tablespoons golden syrup
    1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
    1 tablespoon boiling water

Combine oats, flour, sugar & coconut. Combine butter and golden syrup. Stir over gentle heat until melted. Mix soda with boiling water, add to butter mixture, stir into dry ingredients. Place tablespoonfuls of mixture on oven tray lined with baking paper, allow room for spreading. bake in oven at 150 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Pink.. i usually just go off whats on the tin tbh. Keira was having 100mls until 2 days ago and is now having 150mls each feed. My midwife said that 100mls would be sufficent for her weight.. but we could see at the end of each feed she wanted more as she would cry as soon as we stopped and she had finished the bottle. Since we've been giving her the 150mls she is so much more content.

Pixie.. oh yumo! Ill get around to making some again.. lol one day!

Tenny.. yeh its weird just having another baby around hey. Jesse and Elijah are so independent is just strange having another person whos now so dependant on us.

    Well im off to bed.

    Night all!

    Morning all!

Tenny.. yeh i think i have AF right now (as of yesterday). Ive had bleeding since Keira was born. Well on and off. Like i get it come and then look like its on its way out and gone and then more bleeding. But this time round ive got AF pains with it so im thinking this is it.. being im not BF either. Hope so as im over wearing a pad! lol

Jesse seems to be picking up.. hopefully! Though i was up a few times in the night to him. He was just moaning and when i went in he was asleep. So not sure if he was kinda like sleep talking or what? Weird.

    Have a nice weekend everyone!

Pink: Well done for increasing your supply....a bit is better than nothing. Motilium will work great! I had it with Jayden and I was having to express at least 100ml before I could feed him in the mornings (he slept through from 7wks). Was the Dr ok with prescribing it? Dr's here were very reluctant to give it to me as producing milk is a side effect not what it is prescribed for. 1 Dr tried to tell me it will go through to the baby and may harm him, I told her I'd done my research there was no evidence of doing any harm to mum or bub and the LC had recommended it and I'm sure she knows. Good luck with it anyway! Ava is just beautiful!!! I love the pro shot!! Happy 1 month for yesterday Ava!!

Mez: Thanks Mez....its amazing how fast they grow up, I had a few ppl say she looked a couple of mths old wearing that hoodie. Thats fantastic that Izzy is sleeping longer for you.

Kell: Thats great you have your MIL there to help out. Maybe you can keep Jesse in his bed now if he is associating sick with the cot (thats if you want him in a bed now of course). When they are sick you just give them what they will eat and keep down. Jayden kept asking for juice yesterday and a bottle...but he is still eating. He was at SIL#1's yesterday and when I picked him up he had a temp of 39.1, took him straight hom and gave him Dymadon then SIL#1 (she came home with me) took his temp again and it was 40.2 so he had a bath which brough his temp back down, but its pretty scary when they are getting high temps like that! I wanted 3 kids too but seriously thinking 2 is plenty, Chris doesn't want anymore anyway so its an easy decision. Thats great Keira is doing so well!

back Mel....we missed you!! PND has crossed my mind a lot too, but I don't think it is I think its just adjusting to a new situation. Keep an eye on it though and get help if you even slightly think you need it and I am always here.

ThePixie: YAY for Beth being good when you were out! Both Jayden and Ashlea were always good when we were out Ashlea still is of course but Jayden is getting to be a bit of a handful (to put it nicely ). I hope you cold doesn't take hold!!

Tenny: Glad you worked out what you were feeling, I could imagine it would be hard when Elijah is so independant then all of a sudden you have to get used to doing everything for someone again. I found it hard to dress Ashlea at first cause I'm used to Jayden helping like putting his own arm through the hole etc, then there is this tiny little person that doesn't know to do that. I mentioned the other day about bleeding, I'm still bleeding a bit after delivery but it had stopped then started again. I asked the LC about if it could be AF (thinking thats why Ash refused to feed) she said it was too early and because I am B/F it should stay away. I didn't get AF back until I completely stopped B/F Jayden...hopefully that happens this time too.

Tasia: Do you pay pay any attention to DH when he is nasty to you? I ignore Chris most of the time...it gets easier to do after a while haha. It should be like that though hey? Bugger at getting AF back

My niece is getting a tattoo today, I'm going with her so I hope I don't feel the need to get another one!! Nothing else planned, I'll take J's temp when he wakes up and plan my day from that.

Ashlea's appt went well...She gained 190g so she is now 4250g. I don't have another appt now for 2 weeks (unless something happens again!) I have a really badly cracked nipple though, it is so painful!! I have bought hydrogel breast pads as they are meant to help soothe and heal so we'll see how it goes. For those who are breastfeeding, how often does your baby poo? Ashlea had gone 6 days then 3 days then 2 days but as each day goes on she gets more and more distressed after her 8.30/9.30pm feed. So day 1 she is fine, day 2 she is a little distress and unsettled after then feed, day 3 she is very distressed and unsettled for at least 1.5-2hrs after the feed then the next day she does a poo and she is fine again. LC suggested I massage her bottom hole....but I really don't want to do that. I am massaging her tummy and doing leg excerises which is meant to help which maybe it is seen as she has gone from 6days between to 2 days.

Well I think this post is long enough haha, I better get in the shower before J wakes up, I better try to put A back to sleep too!

Have a great day girls....and bear!

Tan - yeah I don't know if its PND or whatever, just hard to cope with DS at the moment. Last night he SCREAMED in the car for the whole 25 minute journey - and I'm talking high pitched straight into your brain kind of screaming - for no apparent reason. I'm ashamed to say that I did reach back and give him a whack - but I just couldn't take it. Before that DD had been screaming for about the same amount of time while walking out from the Hyatt, and I had just fed her, burped her, so she was just overtired and I just couldn't take anymore screaming after that!!! Bugger having three kids I say.. lol

Tenny - I wish mine was more independent - and asked more instead of screamed. I never thought it would be hard going from one that is 4.5 years and then having a newborn, seriously I thought it would be easier than having a toddler and going back there!!! I totally get why it would be challenging though - but I think you are doing a great job

Kel - I may have to steal that recipe too.

I don't think I have AF yet - I did start bleeding again slightly though - doh! Thought I had stopped!!!!!! Ahhhhh well......

Anastasia - thank you And tell your nasty hubby to back off with the fat comments. Tell him he can carry the next baby if thats the case!!!

Pink - we make up around 140ml each time - sometimes she leaves 50ml in the bottle, sometimes she drinks it all. However if she leaves 50ml she will want feeding in another two hours time..... and those pics are amazing - such a cutie!!!

Helllooooooooooo to everyone else. I have a toddler chanting at my knee at the moment "more more more more duice.. more duice.. duice... more.. more... "

I think he wants more juice.

Hyatt was OK last night, was good seeing my old workmates again and having a slice of yummy pizza. DS just wanted to run around everywhere so DH was kept busy chasing him all night (seriously, he was never at the table at all) whilst I dealt with DD and chatted to my boss' wife. Spoke to one of the solicitors there as well (I'm a legal secretary btw) and she told me of a position that they are holding open for me for when I get back. So only another 8 weeks and I'll be back at work. Don't know whether I want the position or not, or if I will request another position there (basically I just get whatever I want) so lots to think about. Course its all dependent on whether I get DD into daycare cos if I don't - yup can't work!!!!!!

I think we are going to sell our house too... so gotta start cleaning that up and painting walls etc (specially the one that had a hole in it the other day from the plumber!)

Tannis.. yep we're doing the same atm with the food. Whatever he will eat (minus dairy etc) he can have. This morning hes just been hoeing into the potato chips. Poor Jayden. Glad his temp came back down. Hope it is fine this morning too. Boy kids are a worry arent they! Im not BF but i know they can go up to 10 days without a poo. Maybe you can just massage it but with a wipe rather than your hand. I know with Keira, when ive thought shes finished doing a poo and ive gone to change her nappy and wiped her bum shes then continued to do more. So maybe it will work?

Mel.. oh re the PND, ive thought i have it coming on too until i spoke to my CHN the other week about it. She said it doesnt normally come in until around week 8 and up until then it is very common to still experience the baby blues. Especially if you are just run down, have lack of sleep and not to mension have another whingey toddler. But you are doing great hun. You are a wonderful mum and you are a wonderful person. Just how you can come on here and even though you may be feeling down you can still come and make us all laugh and put a smile on our faces. Im so glad ive met (well cyber met lol) such a wonder selfless person.. i just wish we lived closer. Just make sure you look after yourself ok hun, and if you can, try and do something for yourself each day.. even if it is just to sit down and have a cuppa.
Jesse has the worst scream too hun, know what you mean. Took him in the shower last night and he screamed so loud because i wouldnt let him bring his packet of potato chips in. Oh it was deafening! He too is so whingy and screamy lately. And he just does it for me.. not DH. All he does is whinge. And being sick on top of it is making his normal whingy self so much worse. But just take a deep breath hun.. ive heard they wont be like that forever.. oh i wish forever would hurry up and come though!

Kel - Thank you I needed to read that today

I didn't think it was PND - but its hard to admit when you aren't coping real well and wish someone would whip out a magic wand and erase those whinges!!!!

    Thanks to everyone

Tan - I'm glad Jayden's temp came down (missed that from my first post!). Hope it was nothing to sinister?

Oh - and the pram I got was the Graco Quattro Tour....

Mel - Yeah, I didn't once think I'd be hard going from a 4.5yr to a newborn. I was more worried about Elijah and they way he'd handle it then how I'd go. You know, everyone and everything usually always gets put before yourself type thing.
Elijah has been really good with Hayden though. It's mostly just his attitude and not listening that's getting him into trouble. lol.
I hope you're feeling better today.
Hehe. How cute at your Aricyn chanting that.

Tan - Great to hear Ashlea's appointment went great. Yay good weight gain! I hope your little mans temp is normal.

Pink - Hayden has about 130 - 140mls usually. I put 150 in sometimes but if he doesn't dirnk it all, it's no biggie. It's just there if he wants it.

I got to enjoy having a shower today. YAY! Instead of trying to drown out the whinges or crying from Hayden or Elijah asking for everything.
It's like they know you just want to relax so they start up.

    Bbl.
    xx

    Have a fantastic day.

    Good morning beautiful mummies

Well got up at 8.00 to feed Jonathan, he was just staring at the ceiling, I was ****ing myself laughing when I saw him & he smiled My morning was a bit busy I changed the bed sheets, changed Jonathan bassinette sheets, did the laundry (still doing it, not quiet finished), sterlise bottles which I do everyday. So now I'm on here before I have to wake Jonathan up in like ummm now. Hope u all had a good morning.

Tannis- No I don't pay attention to DH when he talk to me like that, wat he says goes in one ear out the other, I don't have time or energy to argue with him anymore, I had enough.

Mel- When we were arguing about the weight thing, I said to him "if you want to have a 2nd baby, & u don't want me to get fat u get pregnant & see if u like it tell me if it's easy or hard & then I'll ***** to u" lol.

Kel- LOL I wish we all lived closer, hey we should all buy a mansion house & live together with our babies, or NOT with our babies lol.

Tasia - Hi. We must have posted at the same time. Lol. Awh. It's great when they wake up in a good mood. Hayden usually wakes up and just stares around sometimes just smiling to himself.
Wow. Your little man is 7weeks already. How fast has it gone. Omg.
