lol um.. wanna really know my secrets with Keira sleeping through.. some may hound me for saying this but i will anyways.. Formula! .. and i think the Infacol plays a little part too. Formula just stays in their tummies longer so they dont wake up hungry as soon.. and also i think the other reason they wake maybe due to being uncomfortable or in pain.. either done a poo or they have wind. Since being on that Infacol, Keira has been so content and has slept through every night.. well no less than a 6 hour stretch.. once even a 10 hour stretch.

Pixie.. woohoo for Beth's weight and height gain!

Zee.. yeh i guess every baby is different. Im sure he'll have a growth spurt soon. I just seem to have porkers for kids.. lol.. ones with big heads

Mel.. hehe sorry! Oh my stack.. was p!ssing down rain, walked back into the shopping mall and splat! Fell on my a$$ and elbow. Luckily i wasnt carrying any children. Was just up there on my own. No bruise so far on my a$$ but a whoppa on my elbow. Oh no, you havent heard Jesse either. Seriously he is defining too. Kristy can vouch for that. I would love to get these boys together and hear who is the loudest Yeh im the same. Only time i can get much done is when Jesse is asleep, apart from hanging out the washing, but then i have to make sure Keira is asleep.

Have both kids asleep atm woohoo. Jesse's still in his big bed by day only. Seems to be working well. Not game as yet to put him in there of a night. Im lacking in sleep as it is atm.

Well going to make a cuppa and get something sugery and fattening to feed my fat a$$, while i lounge on the couch before one of the munchkins wake!

We would love to! The Bear tells me once DD is six months old we can get baby ear defenders so we can fly her up to Queensland in a Cessna. Oh and the baby capsule will strap in to it too! PMSL

Kell - OUCH! Poor thing. I've had a few near spills, but thankfully never actually fell. Hope your elbow gets better fast.

Mel - Lol. I would have cracked up if my DP fell too, actually I'd laugh at anyone falling over or mistfortune like that. I feel so mean but I seriously can't help it.

Belle - Good luck with your appointments this week. I hope all goes well.

I just had this lady come to the door asking for donations for the heart foundation right.. I don't have any money on me (not that I can afford to give anything with the new house and all the renovation bills, not to mention a new baby.)... so anyways, I said "sorry, no" and she totally turned mean, her face changed and she started frowning at me. She was like "So you don't even have $2?" I didn't answer so she goes I can come back later in the week. I just agreed that she come back later in the week.
I felt like a complete a$$hole for not giving any money.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I know it's a really good cause and needs support like alot of other causes too, but I don't think she had the right to treat me like that.
    Grrr.

Hope you are all had a great day.
Sorry about my rant. I already feel like a bad person so way to go lady.

SW - Sorry, we must have been posting around the same time. Hayden is awake most of the day, and then after a few days it's like he naps alot in the whole day like he's catch up on his sleep or something. Idk.
    xoxo

Urgh - massive headache today... DH was asking is Alyssa was being grotty, but she hasn't. Just have a random headache. Been napping when she's napping but it's just not working.

How many hours during the day are most babies awake now? We find that Alyssa is needing more and more entertainment as each day goes by. She's so interactive, it's all very cool (just not today with my headache

Anyways, she's down for another nap now so gonna go take advantage. Mel - will email you that thang soon!! Promise

Be careful what you wish for, it just might happen - I should probably get my butt into gear and get signed off a few multi-engined aircraft, that way I should be able to do Canberra to the Sunshine Coast in a couple of hours...last time we were up that way the weather was far from sunny - Sunshine Coast

Beth is also getting a lot more interactive, she's now really reactive to music which really captures her attention - a few tactile things are starting to pique curiosity too, she's not yet manipulating things with her hands, but shapes and textures are definately interesting.

    Kell - Ouch!

Belle - Hope things are going well with you today

Tenny - Don't feel bad about it, a donation should be just that - if the representative is applying pressure to solicit cash from you then just send them on their way. I make charitable donations through various schemes that are offered by my company, so I don't make any cash donations on the spot...I might take the literature from an appeal rep and consider it when when making choices about where to donate, but prefer to make my choices without someone rattling a tin in my face. If they are getting really shirty with you then it might be worth checking their ID with the Heart Foundation as it's not unknown for people to shake tins in the name of a charity without any authority to do so.

Yeah Tenny - don't let the old cow make you feel bad - it's supposed to be charity, not demanding money with menaces! I never give money to pan-handlers!

Tenny.. hun i never give to charity that either knocks on my door or rings over the phone! So i wouldnt feel bad at all... especially if they were being narky! Makes me wonder if that donation money was actually going to the heart foundation!

sw.. usually around an hour in between each feed, except in the evenings and during the night. Do you have a play gym thing? Keira loves hers and spends alot of time on it.

    Hi all

Thanks for your well wishes for my appt. It went well, we upped my meds and have referal to see a psychiatrist that specialises in post natal depression and she said its good to see them now as 6 weeks after birth is when it usually gets worse. I guess I really hoped I wouldnt get this bad again, just unlucky I guess. I have been giving Tara one bottle of formula a day as my supply cannot keep up with her demand feeding so thankfully she is sleeping now. I saw the health nurse and she too has put on 1kg since birth which is great. The nurse also said that from 6 weeks they usually will be up for 1 1/2 to 2 hours all up from feeding to play to sleeping. Tara's already doing that and in the arvos she doesnt sleep at all but has a big sleep from 7pm or so until middnight.

Friday sounds great girls, 10am at Castle Hill Towers at Kmart. Can I just confirm that the Towers is the bigger shopping centre?? theres two of them at Castle Hill isnt there?

Hello to everyone I have to get some sleep but will come back for personals tomorrow. Love you all.

    HELLOOOOOO

Gotta be quick 90210 starts tonight. i just have to watch. yes yes i know its lame but i was addicted to the origional all those years ago. so i just have to watch.

syd meet- 10ish is good for me.

kell - do you wanna follow each other on friday? i can get to your place about 8.45am ish.

Tennykins- how rude of that lady.. once whils shopping some guy asked my DH for a donation to sponser poor children. he told him "we have our own poor children and dont need any others" the guy was not impressed.

SW- the twins usually stay awake for 1-1.5hours after each feed than sleep for 2-3 hours.

went to the clinic nurse today for a baby check. it went well Sebastian is now 4.5kg and Caleb is 4.7kg. so going well considering their corrected age is about 6 weeks. they will actually be 11 weeks on wednesday.
I actually spoke to her about the twins reflux. they get it soooo bad puke up all day, and its smelly acidy puke too. she recomended some gaveston infant, its a powder you mix into their bottle or water for breast babies. i gave it to them tonight and they seemed so much happpier and hardly puked at all after their feed, so hopefully it works.

i opened my boys a bank account each today.

so mostly a good day today might go wash nappies and bottles ready for tomorrow.

Hi to everyone! god i love this site and i am also thankfull for all your friendship's

    catch ya

    Hello

Just a quick one from me cause I can hear my little one stirring and she hasn't slept much today Last night she gave me 4 hours straight of sleep which was great, hasn't slept through the night but it's better than what we have been getting in this household.

Tannis - I had my 6 wkly apt yesterday and my doc did a pap smear and didn't say that anything about not getting a good reading. She said that everything was looking good too including my scar so happy with that. Dr also recommended that I go back on the pill and when ready to start trying for another bubs to stop taking them.

Kristy - I haven't gotten my period yet and was wondering the same?? I hope you and Kell had a good day out today.

Mel - the washing is never ending in this household too... I can't believe how much washing a little bub can provide.

Pixie - for Beth being 1 month old today!!

    Hello to everyone else.

    Hello all

Kristy - I think you can pretty much start using them whenever you feel comfortable? Hopefully not something I will need to think about for a while.

Mel - if you have a set of scales at home, you could try getting on while you're holding DD and then getting on by yourself to get a rough idea of how much she weighs.

Tenny - if she turns up on Thursday ask her in and ask if she knows Jesus! Or try to sell her Amway. Or just give her a smack in the chops and tell her she's a rude ***** and you're going to report her to the Heart Foundation.

Kel - happy Birthday to Jesse for tomorrow!

Belle, hope you're doing OK hun

Missy - can't wait to see the Baptism pics

skittle - yay for a happy baby!

Well, a red letter day here, managed to do the vacuuming for the first time since DD was born. I have been sweeping the floors but always felt like I was just stirring the dust bunnies up IYKWIM. Was hesitant to vacuum cause I thought it would wake her. Ha! should have known. I swear that girl could sleep on the tarmac at Sydney Airport while planes were taking off!

to everyone I've missed - hope you had a good one, catch up later!

Tan - Jabirus are so cute!

Pixie & Bear - grats on 1 kg and 1 month!

    Mel - mwah! Enough said

Kel - Happy Birthday to Jess for tomorrow!!

Kristy - Think 6 weeks is the general ok time - same time as intercourse is ok. Not sure if it is the same with C/S or not - but I think the tampon thing is part of the whole "don't stick things up there in case of infection" thing

Belle - hope you're feeling happier soon... You're doing a great job

    waves at everyone else!

Alyssa had her 6 week check today! She has cradle cap to be treated with Dermaveen shampoo followed with olive oil scalp massage (looks hilarious because she has so much hair! Makes her look really greasy and unwashed =). We're also proactively combatting her milk rash with a mild steroid cream and dermaveen moisturising lotion. DH has pretty bad eczema, so they want to clear her rash up fast to make sure that we can maintain her skin rather than have to fix it if/when the eczema really comes in. The doc told us that he thinks she's one of the most beautiful babies he's seen. I bet he says that to all mums, but I tend to agree with him in this case

Her stats at birth: 3.12kg, 49cm, 34cm HC
    Her stats today: 4.33kg, 56cm, 37.5cm HC

My little baby is growing up!! *sniff sniff*

Rach: Nah I'm only 3hrs from the Sunny Coast. Happy 1 month Beth!!! YAY on getting the vacuuming done, I did mine for the 1st time too....its been longer for me haha...lazy I am!

Kell: Must have been the night for it...Jayden slept from 8.30pm until 7.15am without waking up during the night, the 1st time in ages! Ashlea slept 12am until I woke her up at 6.30am thinking it was after 7am! I guess thats what forums are for...talking about things the boys just don't get! haha. She does cough and choke most of the time (esp in the morning) so the let down could be too fast. Hope you and Kristy enjoyed your coffee! Aww big 2yo!! It happens so quickly doesn't it??

Tenny: Glad I'm not the only one that had to wait until 12wks, not that I want it done but I would have hated to get it done now just to be told I have to do it again because of a bad reading. Glad I'm not the only one who's DP/H doesn't understand too!

Mel: 2ml is 2ml and the more you can do it the more you will get, every little bit counts. October seems so far away...I guess its not really hey. Get on the scales with her, it won't be real accurate but it gives yolu a basic idea...great to hear she's growing out of her nappies though haha. I don't know how you wash the nappies, clothes, bottles, cook, clean, look after and entertain 2 kids...You are doing a fantastic job!!! I know what you mean about DH going too slow or not doing it right...I got myself into the mess I'm in because I found it easier to do it myself rather than DP do it then me yell at him for not doing it right then I'd have to do it anyway.

Kristy: I can't remember how long til I used a tampon, I think it was my 1st period that I got because I didn't get it until Jayden was about 6mths old (when I totally stopped BF'ing).

Mez: Glad your appt went well! Must depend on the Dr whether they do it at 6wks or 12wks. I'm a bit overdue to have mine now, but I guess another 6wks won't hurt. I wouldn't worry but I have had problems in the past, had to have a general to get pre cancer cells removed etc...don't want to go through that again!

SW: Yeah they are...they are so tiny, a lot of Chris' family won't go up in one cause they are too small....I love them! Ash has milk rash now, no as bad as Jayden did but still bad. Hope the creams work for her. Its nice getting compliments about the baby isn't it? WOW her weight gain and growth is great!

    Ash is awake...better go

Tan - this is about the smallest thing I fly - Citabria
    - we took one of these to QLD at Xmas time and did Sydney direct to Longreach in one hop, you can tell we're in Queensland by the way the fuel pump guy dresses C182-T
    - now working on getting signed off in this - PA30 which will make some of the longer trips much, much quicker!
