lol um.. wanna really know my secrets with Keira sleeping through.. some may hound me for saying this but i will anyways.. Formula! .. and i think the Infacol plays a little part too. Formula just stays in their tummies longer so they dont wake up hungry as soon.. and also i think the other reason they wake maybe due to being uncomfortable or in pain.. either done a poo or they have wind. Since being on that Infacol, Keira has been so content and has slept through every night.. well no less than a 6 hour stretch.. once even a 10 hour stretch.

Pixie.. woohoo for Beth's weight and height gain!

Zee.. yeh i guess every baby is different. Im sure he'll have a growth spurt soon. I just seem to have porkers for kids.. lol.. ones with big heads

Mel.. hehe sorry! Oh my stack.. was p!ssing down rain, walked back into the shopping mall and splat! Fell on my a$$ and elbow. Luckily i wasnt carrying any children. Was just up there on my own. No bruise so far on my a$$ but a whoppa on my elbow. Oh no, you havent heard Jesse either. Seriously he is defining too. Kristy can vouch for that. I would love to get these boys together and hear who is the loudest Yeh im the same. Only time i can get much done is when Jesse is asleep, apart from hanging out the washing, but then i have to make sure Keira is asleep.

Have both kids asleep atm woohoo. Jesse's still in his big bed by day only. Seems to be working well. Not game as yet to put him in there of a night. Im lacking in sleep as it is atm.

Well going to make a cuppa and get something sugery and fattening to feed my fat a$$, while i lounge on the couch before one of the munchkins wake!

Urgh - massive headache today... DH was asking is Alyssa was being grotty, but she hasn't. Just have a random headache. Been napping when she's napping but it's just not working.

How many hours during the day are most babies awake now? We find that Alyssa is needing more and more entertainment as each day goes by. She's so interactive, it's all very cool (just not today with my headache

Anyways, she's down for another nap now so gonna go take advantage. Mel - will email you that thang soon!! Promise

Kell - OUCH! Poor thing. I've had a few near spills, but thankfully never actually fell. Hope your elbow gets better fast.

Mel - Lol. I would have cracked up if my DP fell too, actually I'd laugh at anyone falling over or mistfortune like that. I feel so mean but I seriously can't help it.

Belle - Good luck with your appointments this week. I hope all goes well.

I just had this lady come to the door asking for donations for the heart foundation right.. I don't have any money on me (not that I can afford to give anything with the new house and all the renovation bills, not to mention a new baby.)... so anyways, I said "sorry, no" and she totally turned mean, her face changed and she started frowning at me. She was like "So you don't even have $2?" I didn't answer so she goes I can come back later in the week. I just agreed that she come back later in the week.
I felt like a complete a$$hole for not giving any money.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I know it's a really good cause and needs support like alot of other causes too, but I don't think she had the right to treat me like that.
    Grrr.

Hope you are all had a great day.
Sorry about my rant. I already feel like a bad person so way to go lady.

SW - Sorry, we must have been posting around the same time. Hayden is awake most of the day, and then after a few days it's like he naps alot in the whole day like he's catch up on his sleep or something. Idk.

Be careful what you wish for, it just might happen - I should probably get my butt into gear and get signed off a few multi-engined aircraft, that way I should be able to do Canberra to the Sunshine Coast in a couple of hours...last time we were up that way the weather was far from sunny - Sunshine Coast

Beth is also getting a lot more interactive, she's now really reactive to music which really captures her attention - a few tactile things are starting to pique curiosity too, she's not yet manipulating things with her hands, but shapes and textures are definately interesting.

    Kell - Ouch!

Belle - Hope things are going well with you today

Tenny - Don't feel bad about it, a donation should be just that - if the representative is applying pressure to solicit cash from you then just send them on their way. I make charitable donations through various schemes that are offered by my company, so I don't make any cash donations on the spot...I might take the literature from an appeal rep and consider it when when making choices about where to donate, but prefer to make my choices without someone rattling a tin in my face. If they are getting really shirty with you then it might be worth checking their ID with the Heart Foundation as it's not unknown for people to shake tins in the name of a charity without any authority to do so.

Yeah Tenny - don't let the old cow make you feel bad - it's supposed to be charity, not demanding money with menaces! I never give money to pan-handlers!

Tenny.. hun i never give to charity that either knocks on my door or rings over the phone! So i wouldnt feel bad at all... especially if they were being narky! Makes me wonder if that donation money was actually going to the heart foundation!

sw.. usually around an hour in between each feed, except in the evenings and during the night. Do you have a play gym thing? Keira loves hers and spends alot of time on it.

    Hi all

Thanks for your well wishes for my appt. It went well, we upped my meds and have referal to see a psychiatrist that specialises in post natal depression and she said its good to see them now as 6 weeks after birth is when it usually gets worse. I guess I really hoped I wouldnt get this bad again, just unlucky I guess. I have been giving Tara one bottle of formula a day as my supply cannot keep up with her demand feeding so thankfully she is sleeping now. I saw the health nurse and she too has put on 1kg since birth which is great. The nurse also said that from 6 weeks they usually will be up for 1 1/2 to 2 hours all up from feeding to play to sleeping. Tara's already doing that and in the arvos she doesnt sleep at all but has a big sleep from 7pm or so until middnight.

Friday sounds great girls, 10am at Castle Hill Towers at Kmart. Can I just confirm that the Towers is the bigger shopping centre?? theres two of them at Castle Hill isnt there?

Hello to everyone I have to get some sleep but will come back for personals tomorrow. Love you all.

    HELLOOOOOO

Gotta be quick 90210 starts tonight. i just have to watch. yes yes i know its lame but i was addicted to the origional all those years ago. so i just have to watch.

syd meet- 10ish is good for me.

kell - do you wanna follow each other on friday? i can get to your place about 8.45am ish.

Tennykins- how rude of that lady.. once whils shopping some guy asked my DH for a donation to sponser poor children. he told him "we have our own poor children and dont need any others" the guy was not impressed.

SW- the twins usually stay awake for 1-1.5hours after each feed than sleep for 2-3 hours.

went to the clinic nurse today for a baby check. it went well Sebastian is now 4.5kg and Caleb is 4.7kg. so going well considering their corrected age is about 6 weeks. they will actually be 11 weeks on wednesday.
I actually spoke to her about the twins reflux. they get it soooo bad puke up all day, and its smelly acidy puke too. she recomended some gaveston infant, its a powder you mix into their bottle or water for breast babies. i gave it to them tonight and they seemed so much happpier and hardly puked at all after their feed, so hopefully it works.

i opened my boys a bank account each today.

so mostly a good day today might go wash nappies and bottles ready for tomorrow.

Hi to everyone! god i love this site and i am also thankfull for all your friendship's

    catch ya

I seem to have misplaced the grumpy baby Ive had the last few days & got someone else's happy contented baby I got to have a shower, breakfast & lunch and clean most of the house while she just lay down on her mat looking at the mobile & dozing.

Kristy - good to hear about the boys weight gain. I have opened an account yet for DD but my mum has, we've just got a money box for the time being because we are supposed to be moving to Perth early next year so I wont open an account until we are over there.

Belle - good to hear Tara has put on 1kg, if you need to talk add me to MSN most of the time if Im on BB Im on MSN too but appearing offline, Same goes for anyone

Tenny - I agree with everyone else, with an attitude like that I wouldnt be giving them any money either. We have a couple of charities we donate to regulary and just those

SW- I find if we are out or there are people round Maddi will sleep most of the time but, if we are home by ourselves she will be awake for a couple of hours then sleep for 2-3 hours then be awake for a couple more

    Hello everyone else Ive missed

    Good evening everyone

Pixie- That's great that Beth has gained 1 kilo Yayyy

Feeb- Cool can't wait to meet you all.

Kel- Yeah I noticed that to with Jonathan, cause he is on Karicare as well & a few times he had a 7 hour sleep & one time he had a 9 hr & I was like WTF I got worried but didn't wake, just checked to see if he was breathing LOL.

Mel- Hope ur DS didn't make too much of a mess with the yogurt

Tenny- You did wat u had to do, like you said you couldn't afford it with new house, renovations, bills & of course a new baby, that's totally understandable. I can't believe she went red, look I would have felt bad myself if I couldn't afford. You just have to say no sometimes when you can't afford it, that's one thing I learned.

Kristy- aaaaa the good old days when 90210 was on LOL. I was going to watch it myself but can't be bothered, new people LOL, I want the old people back lol I know Jenny Garth & Shannen Doherty are on but still not the same, oh well. Yay for opening an account for the boys

Mary- Hope you are well sweety, thinking of you

Mez: Can't believe how quickly 6wks has gone either!

Kell: LOL you poor thing, hope your elbow is ok...did anyone see you? Ashlea is getting about 6hrs or more overnight too but I wake her at about 11.30pm to feed her then she usually sleeps until 6 or 7am, last night I was too tired to wake up at 11.30pm and I woke her up (she might have stirred not sure) at 3am. YAY on having 2 kids asleep...I had that today. I glad I have you girls here to talk to, Chris doesn't understand why I get upset of the feeding thing. Yeah sleep deprivation isn't great! I leave Ashlea now, if she is awake but happy I go to sleep...she'll let me know if she wants something.

Rach: If your coming to QLD you will have to visit us too!

Mel: LOL on your defective formula! Hows the EBM going? PMSL at you laughing at your DH!

SW: I had a headache today too, but I think mine was a little stress (Ash refused breast again this morning) and tiredness. Ashlea changes day to day with her sleep, some days she sleeps most of the day usually if we are out shopping and in the car she stays asleep and like today she was awake for most of the day and all we did was go to the Dr's and home again.

Tenny: How rude of that woman! I donate a fair bit to those sorts of charities but sometimes I just can't do it, who is she to ask if you have $2??

Geoff: Canberra to SC in a few hrs would be good! The planes Chris flies (Jabiru), it takes about 8hrs Bundy to Melb...I'm not sitting in a little plane for that long!

Belle: Hope the new dosage works for you! YAY for Tara's weight gain!

Kristy: Oh I forgot about 90210...I watched City Homicide (Mmmm Daniel McPhearson!). YAY for the gaveston infant working!

Sal: Woohoo for your happy baby!! Ashlea is usually pretty good with laying there looking at something too...makes life so much easier!

Missy: Can't wait to see the baptism pics! I told Chris when Jayden was born that he is to organise the baptism (I'm not baptised) and he still hasn't done it, so we are getting the 2 done together. I told him I want it done in October but he hasn't organised anything yet.

I had my 6 wk check up today, all was fine but she said I was still a bit red down there??? She didn't do a pap smear either, she said they are better done at 12wks as there is usually inflamation still at 6wks and the PM would have to be done again...I never got told that last time but then I went to a dodgy Dr back then.

Ashlea refused another feed this morning but the rest of the day was fine, I am really getting frustrated with it all! All day Fri she refused and part of Sat. No idea why she keeps refusing, its to do with her not doing a poo but why she takes bottle with no probs I don't know. We see the LC again on Fri.

I rode 5kms on my exercise bike today, my aim is to do 10kms a day but I'm easing into it haha. Well better have something to eat before I waste away to nothing (LOL I wish!)

Tan we would love to. My brother lives up in Mission Beach - you're right up north too aren't you? Looks like we have a trip coming on!
Well the big news for us (apart from Beth being one month old today!) is that last night she had a really big sleep..... We went to Dad's place for dinner and everyone was playing with her so by the time we got home she was very overtired and agitated. In the end, the Bear swaddled her with extreme prejudice, my god he wrapped her up tight! she couldn't move at all! stuck a dummy in her mouth and put her to bed. That was at about 10.30.... and she slept all the way through till ten to five! Woohoo!
Going to run and have a shower now before she wakes up but to everyone and BBL for personals - have a great day all!

I dont know what it is with my son! He did sleep pretty well, didnt have to get up to him at all last night.. well not until 5am when he was telling me its time to get up. I said ah ah nooooo way. 6am is too early as it is! So i walked out and he screamed in his cot for about an hour. Keira woke up around 5.30am so fed her (hehe yep slept through from 9.30pm again ).. then went into him at 6am and lay him down and he slept for an hour.. so didnt have to get up until 7am this morning. Still feel like crap though! lol

Belle.. um, yeh id say it is the bigger shopping centre. Theres only one in Castle Hill that has Kmart. Glad you appointment went well.

Kristy.. the boys sound like theyre growing spot on. Keira is 5.15kgs with clothes and a week gestationly older. So yeh they sound about right.

Skittle.. oh gotta love that! She can stay!

Tasia.. yeh its great hey hehe!

Tannis.. yeh a lady near me helped me up lol. Ya know, im glad i wasnt pregnant! I hit the ground pretty hard. Oh i know. Men dont get it, lol or have the hormones! Grahame is the same.. when i get upset or frustraited with either Keira or Jesse hes like, ah dont let it get to you. But it aint that easy! Oh really re the pap smear. Im going for my 6 week check this weekend. Will see what she does. Good stuff with your riding! I wonder if your let down is too much for her? Like the flow is too fast? Where as on the bottle she kinda has more control of how much shes getting in her mouth each suck?

Well off to the shops this morning for coffee with Kristy and also need to get some wrapping paper and a card for Jesse's presents for his birthday tomorrow! HOLEY MOLEY! My little boy is 2 YEARS OLD TOMORROW!! Gawwwwd it didnt seem that long ago i was in agony pushing his boofhead out! Boy the time just flies ladies! Enjoy every minute while theyre still babies!!

Just a quick one, cause I hear the little man stirring in his bassinette.

Tan - I was already for a papsmear myself at my appointment last week, and then when he said they don't do them till 12wks, I was like oh. I'll admit I was relieved, but I'd rather it was over and done with then and there. Lol. My DP doesn't understand either. It's so frustrating and just makes me more upset.

Kristy - Way to go at your boys. They're going great guns. I hope the reflux stuff keeps working for you.

Kell - Omg yeah, It flies. He'll be 2, then next min he'll be 4 or 5 and going to school, and your head will be spinning. Lol.That's what it felt like for me. It's like where'd my little boy go.

    Pixie/Bear - YAY! Beth's 1 month!! Whooohooooooooo

    Sorry.. catch up more later.

Thanks for the replies about the rude a$$ b!atch. My DP was like "I would have closed the door in her face". If I'm here when she turns up on thursday I might pretend I'm not home or something. I'm a chicken.

    Have a great day.

Hi everyone, quick one from me too (well will TRY and make it short)...

Kel - if I forget - happy birthday to Jesse for tomorrow - and happy birthing day to you too my lovely!!!!! And GRRR to your sleeping through Oh, something must of been in the air this morning - cos A woke up at 4am - DH went in there to him and A goes "Allooooo" and DH is like.. no... no hello.... its TOO EARLY... haha!! Luckily he just went straight back to sleep - cheeky bugger... I slept through it all though - I'm so exhausted these days.

Tenny - I think you were way nicer to her than I would have been. not like they are on commission or anything, so they should be lucky they get any donations. If it happens again, kindly remind them that they are trespassing on your land... that usually f*cks them over.. LOL

Pixie - this one wriggles sooo much she usually gets out of being wrapped up - although I'm much harsher on wrapping her than her daddy is...

Tan - EBM is going slowwwwly.... wayyy slowwwwly..... but as they say, even 2ml is worth something right? Just finding the damn time to do it is the problem... and my OB did the Pap smear at my 6 week appointment last time - this time I dont' have an appointment till October.. weeee.. yayyyyy... no pappy for a few weeks.. yayyyyy

Anastasia - lets just say - he walked yoghurt through the mat, and all over the floor boards until he reached me.. but it was quite amusing to see him standing there with it dripping off his shirt and down his legs....

Missy - can't wait to see pics!!!

Sal - I'll swap you for my grizzly, non-sleeping one... (would you believe that everytime I put a IB on either of my kids they SHIAT in it!! Not nice for mummy... they could at least crap in the not so nice looking ones.. LOL)

Kristy - you can open an account for me too if you like.. hehehe.. just kidding!!!! I watched 90210 too last night - how SKINNY was that girl.. omg.. her collar bones were like coathangers...

    Belle -

Well I have nooo idea what DD is doing with her weight gain - never seem to get the car on a Tuesday, and thats the clinic day... so haven't weighed her for.. uh.... 3 weeks now.... we know she is growing cos some of her nappies don't fit her anymore - I'm very pleased with myself - haven't used a disposable on her for AGES now... hehehehe..

Although having to deal with cloth nappies, extra clothes to wash, bottles to wash, and two kids to look after is starting to do my head in!!!!! Soooo many things to do, and I just keep ripping up DH because he tries (bless him, he DOES try) but god he stuffs ***** up, or goes too slow, or can't do more than one thing at the same time (really irritating!!) and I just prefer to do it myself!!!!! Keep yelling at the poor bugger...

Ahh well... better get back to my cup of tea and then start cleaning the house before the monster wakes up and messes it all up again!!!!
