Wow - all these pics look great! Am so jealous =)

Mel - agree, I should come up there and we can have a meetup!! AND it MUST involve chocolate! Once little miss is old enough to fly I might just use up some of my FF points!

Missy - I like the idea of mass meetup, but the logistics kinda scares me!! =) There's a LOT of us on here when you count partners and other kids!

Looks like I'll be in Melb at the start of November and possibly also for a day or two in the first week of December if any of you ladies feel like catching up. December schedule *may* be insanely busy, but I *think* I'll have a few hours to kill on Monday 3rd November (and a rental car with baby seat, so we can get anywhere!).

    Hey folks
Routine - we had a routine going for a while, but now it all seems to fall apart between about 5 and 11pm. Not sure why, DD has just decided that she won't sleep at all during that period and has a tendency to be fussy and awkward. Makes it difficult to have dinner! The rest of the time she is fine, she is pretty regular during the day and overnight, it's just the evenings that are a mess. Sometimes we wrap her up and stick a dummy in her mouth and put her in bed. Tonight we have given up and put her in the rocker in front of the TV where she seems perfectly happy! go figure.
Hope you're all having a good night. The bear let me have a sleep for a couple of hours so feeling a bit better. Was conking out before!

Awww the photos from Syd and Melb are fantastic....I will definitely bring my camera Mel, Who else is in QLD?

Mel: WOOHOO....See each day you are getting heaps more, you'll have her on EBM all the time soon! We are driving down 27/09 early morning for my nephew's 1st bday which is at 10am, then Chris is going somewhere to watch the AFL grand final so Saturday is probably better for me, I'll find out where he is watching it, it might be somewhere we can go with the kids too.

Tenny: I asked the LC about bathing she agreed that it doesn't have to be everyday or it can be, it really makes no difference...I'll just ignore my SIL, she always critisizes everything and her life is very far from perfect.

Pam: I feed Ashlea around 8 or 9pm she usually goes to sleep by 9.30pm then I wake her (or attempt a dream feed) around midnight then she sleeps through until 6 or 7am. I try to let her create her own routine but she hardly ever wakes up for a feed herself! Its basically a feed/wake/sleep routine but sometimes I feed her to go to sleep.

Belle: I hope you and Julia are feeling better soon! oxox

Rach: My 2 were/are the same with their feed, don't care where its coming from as long as its coming!

Feeb: WHat a good boy Jacob is for sleeping all that time! I think Ashlea would have too (if we were there)

Kell: How long has Jesse been in a big bed? Wasn't he in a cot overnight still or was that someone else? BABY BRAIN!! haha Jayden wanted us in his bed every night but I try not too incase I need to feed Ashlea at that time or I'm doing something else...we have just had a little breakthru with bed time this week...

Jayden, Ashlea and I sit on Jayden's bed and read a couple of stories the lst one is always "Time for Bed" by Mem Fox its a great book. When thats finished Chris brings a bottle for Jayden (I know he needs to get rid of it!) I kiss him good night and say I love you, he says it back then I tell him Ashlea is going to bed (so I have to take her), he kisses her and says I love you and I turn out the light and walk out. The 1st night he cried for a while, 2nd night, cried for 5mins maybe, 3rd night straight to sleep and same for tonight WOOHOO!!! We are finally back into a routine! Just have to make it a bit earlier than 8.30pm though.

Sal: WOOHOO on the weight gain! Thats huge!! I was told at our check up today that BF baby should gain 150-250g per week (more is better of course). Well done!

Missy: I'd love to meet up with all once a year...not sure how Chris would feel about me going haha. We usually go to Melb every year anyway as thats where all my friends and family are but Syd...don't know anyone there anymore. We should do it anyway!

    everyone else

We had our LAST LC appt today WOOHOO! Ashlea has gained 530g in 2 weeks!! BF'ing is going great now and she hasn't refused since briefly on Monday. We are thinking she has a sluggish bowel but still not sure why when she needs to do a poo that she refuses the breast but not the bottle...She did her 1st big poo since Sat today and she hadn't refused prior to that as she normally would so maybe her system was a bit immature and is getting better now?? Her sleeping all the time too is just her and not because she is lathargic (sp?) like I thought. The LC said she'll leave it up to me when I come back to her which I dont need to now...She gave me a huge hug before I left and said what a great job I've done getting through it, it made me feel soooo good!! I can finally relax with it all now and just enjoy my fat sleepy baby. Well I'm going to get on the bike now then have shower.

ETA: I missed your post Rach, That is normal....most babies have a period of the day where they are really unsettled, usually dinner time. With Jayden it seemed ages before I got to have a hot dinner! I have been extremely lucky this time and *touch wood* Ashlea doesn't have a "witching hour"

Works for me - I'll be staying in Point Cook (and driving out to Ballarat at some stage - so west side is GREAT for me!!)

I'll try get to Sydney sometime for one of the Sydney meets =) Might head up and stay with friends for a weekend to catch up with some peeps before we move to Adelaide at the end of year.

Pixie - she's probably about the right age to start demanding more entertainment! Alyssa is up longer and longer each day now and needing to be entertained heaps - it's lots of fun (although not always perfectly timed!!). She smiles at almost everything, and I think she's even trying to laugh sometimes (it just doesn't seem to work). So cute. btw - Alyssa also isn't fussy btw boob or bottle. It's GREAT for when I need a rest! I can express a bunch off during the day on Fridays and Saturdays and make DH get up in the night for feeds when he doesn't need to work the next day. YAY.

Tannis - great on BF!! I think we're pretty right now, too. Although she's been really hungry all day today - think it's growth spurt shtuff. She's been on the boob almost constantly this evening for about 4 or 5 hours, so they're both a bit sore now!! Overused She's sleeping now and DH gets the next feed, so I have some recovery time!

waves to everyone else! Mwah to Mel

Time for bed, me thinks =)

that would rock if you manage to pull it off =) I'm actually there from the 2nd until the 9th, but driving to Ballarat on the 4th. Heading back to Melb on the 7th to pick up hubby and staying with the bro again until the Sunday when we fly back home. We're doing an early family Christmas seeing as we're planning to be in Adelaide with DHs fam this year and have no plans on flying Alyssa around so much in such a short period to go visiting the Victorian mob during the chrissy period.

I can also do a meetup on the morning of the 4th, but I have to leave for Ballarat by around 12ish as the car rental expires at 2pm and I have to drop it off in Ballarat by then! =)

OK - now it really is bed time =) Night all!

Hi SW good to see you back here again! Would be great if you could come to Sydney. The Bear and I will probably be passing by Canberra at some stage - if we are we will get in touch!
Tannis well done on the BF'ing! Sounds like Ash is going great guns. And lucky for you having a sleepy baby. Beth is pretty sleepy too usually, except in the evenings these days. She's conked out now though LOL
Missy - sorry hun, I was taking the photos so any abuse should be directed at me!
Great to hear that the melbourne girls had a good meetup, nice pics! and great to see all the girls this morning too!
Well, the Bear felt like sausage sandwiches for dinner but we had run out of bread - so he baked some! LOL only the Bear!

SW: Did you say you were going to Melb in Dec too? Flights are a bit cheaper then, so I'll have more chance of Chris agreeing haha I will make it back down there one day haha.

Thanks Rach...Ashlea is passed out now too...I might take a pic of her and post it

I can't upload the pic??? I've have to try tomorrow, maybe I'm just too tired now... I better get Ash up for a feed then I can go to sleep...I hope she feeds off both sides tonight, I woke this morning is a canon ball on my chest instead of a boob! I had to express 60ml to ease it a little before Ash fed!

    Good night girls/Bear
