Morning girls how are you all?

Mel - honey your scar is bleeding oh hon does it hurt? Are you feeling ok otherwise? When are you going back for a checkup? you should not really be bending or picking things up from the floor or doing washing etc. Also dont pick up DS at all honey. Do you have pads to put on your scar? Also betadine? you will need them SMith and Nephew sell the pad thing that absorbs the stuff that will come out of your scar, I had stuff coming out of my scar with Julia. I hope it looks ok otherwise hon, be careful you dont get an infection, if you see your lower belly from the scar slowly go pink/red up to your belly button gradually you are getting an infection.

Missy - goodluck at Liam's appointment!

Pixie - fingers crossed your baby makes its entrance soon honey :hugs:

Tenny - thanks mate the LC appointment went well, she was not attaching properly now I have some more tips to raise my nipple a bit and also bring her up and over, so its working better ,but when shes sleepy its hard still to maintain her on the nipple. How much does Hayden drink on the bottle? I was expressing 80 - 100mls and Tara was drinking it all, now having done 4 feeds just on breast again shes waking every 3 hours not every 4... im knackered again LOL.

Pam - hiya, sounds like your bubs is a super feeder! sounds excellent!!!

Gotta go have a shower while I can so back later girls. Got Julias health nurse visit this arvo at 4pm so will let you know how she goes!

Belle and Missy - I think its cos my back is totally out and I have a really bad limp when I walk and I have to hang onto walls and stuff just so I can move around - I think that is putting extra pressure on the incision... so it just had a couple of bleeds, but craig said it looks like they have dried up - scar is a little bit redder than it was yesterday, but he is keeping a good eye on it for me. Last thing I want is an infection!!!!!

Have fun at Liam's appointment Missy - I hope Callum is a little angel for you!!!

Pixie - I'm not even going to ask if there is any movement.. lol

DD did really well last night - she fell asleep after her bath (even through DS's tanties and loud playing before he went to bed) then she woke up at 10 for a feed, fell asleep, we went to bed at midnight (yeah I know, norty of us!!) and she woke up at 2am and then 5.45...woohoo!!! Went straight back to sleep until around 9am, she just woke for a little feed (about 50mls) and then went back to sleep!!!!!!

DH is making me breakfast now (ham and cheese croissants with a glass of chockie milk.. hehe) and DS is in day care today - so its bonding with our princess day!!! (and trying to fix my stupid back!!!)

Hope everyone else had a good night with their princes and princesses!!!!

    morning ladies

well we had a great night put the boys to bed at 10pm with a full belly and they didn't wake till 3.30am. yay 4 a better nights sleep.and isaac didn't wake till 8am so thats even better.

mel - missy is right, take it easy you shouldn't be bleedingfrom your scar at all. infact it schould be completly sealed now, just a red line. are you lifting aricyn? you are not surposed to lift anything heavier than your baby for at least 4-6 weeks or you can get a hernia. its hard i know but better in the long run for you all. i just spent the past few weeks on the floor trying not to lift Ike so i know its tough.
lol on the bath too, your braver than me, good job, im too scared to bath the babies with ike i think he might think they are a bath toy.

missy - yay on the shopping trip good luck you will be fine. and if all else fails buy some junk food and go home for a pig out, its a great de-stresser.

bell- hi yeh thanks we are doing great. you sound well too.

Tennykins - hayden is so cute.

well feeding is exhausting. im still expressing for a few feeds a day as well as breast and formula. i want to swap to the bottle full time soon as it is easier esp when looking after isaac. i enjoy breast feeding but not when isaac is around so i think the bottle will be better. i want to persist till the end of the month if i can. plus the weightloss you get when breast feeding is helping alot.

well i better go. meeting kell for a coffee today. and i want to print up some pics before i get behind too much.

    take care
    kristy xoxoxo

PS: pics ok my 3 sons.........

Missy & Bel - good luck with your appointments today.

Mel - Welcome Back, enjoy your bonding day today!!

Kristy - Yay on the sleep!!!

Tenny - Im not sure yet if I will post my birth story or not, I did write it all down though during the hossy stay

Everyone else - hope you are doing well

We just had our health nurse visit & DD has put on 250g in 1 week, everything else is well, she just has oral thrush from the antibiotics the hossy gave me. Her eye is clearing up nowand we are starting to get a pattern to the night feeds. Feeding around 11-12ish, then 3-4ish then 7-9ish, so we seem to be getting some sleep when DD decides to sleep inbetween feeds.

    Hi girls

Sal - thats great that DD has put on 250g that is excellent weight gain! sorry to hear about the oral thrush the poor little girl. Are your nipples ok?

Kristy - welcome hon, I was thinking of you this morning thinking you are in excellent shape cause you are so brave to go out with the twins and Ike!

Mel - big hugs to you hon, its good to hear the scar is not bleeding anymore. Hope your limp gets better soon, yay for bonding day! My mum is picking up Julia at lunchtime today too so we can have a bonding day today and tomorrow and Julia will be back Sat morning after having fun at Nana's. Mum misses Julia and she is so kind to mind her!

Ohh Tara Stiring. She is feeding so much lately 9pm, 2-4am last night then 7am, then just waiting for her to wake now... im knackered, she hasnt really got a set timing yet, our LC said to feed her no later than 10pm so she can get the 2-3am dream feed right then she hopefully will sleep to 7am and then after few weeks drop the 2-3am feed and sleep through, heres hoping!

    Back later

    hi girls
After a great night on Tuesday night, last night was an absolute shocker. The only place Annabelle would sleep was on my chest and that was only after a great deal of fighting. She is quite colicky and just screams intermittently and inconsolably. I'm exhausted.

Off to see a lactation consultant today to try and sort out my supply and her attachment issues.

    Take care

    Hello yummy mummy's,

I hope you are all doing really well and that you all had a good night with your princesses and princes.

Well yesterday Isabel had her health nurse apt and everything went well. She hasn't put on as much weight as they would like (only 120 grams) in 6 days so I was asked to up her formula amount. we will see how she goes by her next apt. But she is now 51.5cm long and HC is 36cm which I'm really happy about. I walked to the appointment and it did hurt a little but I did enjoy getting out.

Belle - Isabel is doing really well at night. Her night feed was 11:30pm, 3:30am, and 8:40am today so I think that's pretty good. I'm getting some sleep which helps me during the day. How is Tara doing??

Mel - WELCOME BACK so good to see you again. By the way Mehkelti is just gorgeous I love your ticker sweet. I would say take it easy now that your at home cause you really don't want to open that scar up it will take longer for you to recover sweet. I know that it might be hard but you'll have to take a back seat and let others do things for you.

Pam - I hope that the LC is able to help you out sweet so that you can get a good nights rest.

Skittlebub - yay on your apt sweet, that is wonderful that DD has put on so much!

Missy - Good luck with your apt today sweet and have fun out today with your friend.

Well I guess I better go and do something while Isabel is sleeping. I will BBL

Mel i also will say dont lift anything more than bubs!!!!!

Missy Jacob also spews after most feeds (he only on boob) often all over my boob!!! I just make sure after a feed i keep him upright for a while he is not the best burper. Hope appt goes well, i have a booby sling (like on new inventors) but a friend made it for me and it lifst boob so that nipple is higher without holding it up. (pm me if you are intersted I am sure she could make u one also)

kristy J glad you are getting some sleep with 3 boys!!!!

    skittlebub great weight gain!!!

Ayapi dont be 2 concerned re wg gain thats ok Jacob put on 65 grams in 5 days from dc till mchn home viist, then 95 grams in another 5 days and then 205 grams in 11 days.

Hello to everyone else hope babies are letting u sleep a bit

Belle - feeding not getting any better - saw LC this morning and she said I have 9 days worth of injury stressing me out. Showed me a few techniques for when things are looking a little healthier, left me some books to read, etc. She suggested that I express for a day or two to allow my bbs to recover and feed Alyssa with a syringe or cup. Here's hoping that works well!! How are you going? Thanks for the tickling under chin suggestion, btw... I tried it and it DID make her open wider, but didn't prevent the whole head shake thing (which she seems to do every time she opens wide enough to pop a nipple in!!). And the spaghetti arms. Urgh!

So thrilled for everyone who have their bubs.

Pixie, here's the unwanted advice! Ignore all the stuff about tea, lavendar, curry, pineapple, etc. The only thing we found that worked was fresh linen! I changed the sheets on our bed, and two hours later my waters broke all over it! Murphy's Law in action again

Feeling a bit stressed and sleep deprived over my poor, sore bbs... Will come back for personals later (not necessarily today). Going to try catch some sleep now while my little princess is sleeping.

    waves and hugs to all

SW - your welcome honey. Sounds like you have similar issues to me, I have the head shaking thing too, my LC told me it was her looking for the let down and she told me to do more of bringing her head up and over the nipple have my thumb on the top of my areola and try to get her top of her mouth right next to the thumb and it works on attaching her and stopping her from the shaking the head thing. LOL yep the spaghetti arms! do you have Lanisoh too hon? that helps clear up so quick too. Hope you get some sleep sweetie, dont stress hon, everything will be ok.

    Back later for more personals

    Hi Belle =)

yeah - things are just a bit too sore right now to keep trying, so am happy to express for a day or so recovery. They just said to avoid bottles or anything with a teat so as not to confuse her. I'm determined to make it work because she's taken to it so well!! Once she's on, she's a star. Her attachment is perfect - just the initial latch on. And the milk has come in so perfectly.

Am having difficulties getting the areola in as she licks it until it is slimy, then it just slips out before the nipple can flick in correctly. I need to wipe it dry between attempts. Am just in too much pain at the moment to keep practicing, so maybe tomorrow or the next day. She's stirring now so will try syringe the earlier expressed milk shortly and see how she goes with that.

Am using lansinoh - has been my saviour so far =)

These sore BBs are the only thing that have me down so far - otherwise still totally elated and on cloud 9 =) Feel completely in love all the time until I think of feeding, then all of a sudden I'm shaking!! But we will succeed (one way or the other!!)

I guess absolute worst case scenario is that we just express and bottle feed, and she still gets breast milk. Would still prefer to do it straight from mummy though!!

Glad things are working better for you =) Hopefully I'll be following very shortly behind

Sounds like a good plan you have in place SW. Fingers crossed everything heals real soon and you can feed just by the breast hon.

Things are ok here, she is feeding so regularly though the MCHN just left and she told me instead of giving her the boob to resettle I should possibly try a dummy as im feeding so frequently now 1 1/2 - 2hours im knackered. Not sure what to do.

    Well hello all

Awwww my little boy is a piggy. He has put on just over 450grms in 9 days. OMGOSH that is huge.

All was ok but she didnt like that fact that I had exspressed and told me to try the booby again and also get some thickening stuff to give him before feeds to stop him chucking. Well I did try him on the boob again and he did nothing but cry. He was pulling at the nipple and coming off and screaming. I think he is use to the teets on the bottles..arrrrgg... Im not going to stress out about it and ive decided im only going to express till I get his needles done. 8 weeks. The thickening powder worked. He didnt chuck up at all when I put it in him bottle. YAY. Im so happy. He is drinking 120mls and has been for about a week. HC was 36.5 so up .5cm and length same.

Belle yay on your weight gain too hun. Well done hun.

Gudism hun im sorry your back is giving you hell. I didnt know you were having trouble like that. Very sorry to hear that. Yes callum was a good boy for me too. SO im happy about that. Well done on DD doing so well last night. That is so good

Oh Kristy expressing is a pain in the butt I reacon but yes I agree its great for weight loss and I want to keep it up for the 8 weeks. Just to protect him abit with my antibods and then ill be going formular all the time. YAY the boys are going great too hun. your photo of the boys are beautiful hun.

skittlebub yay on the weight. Oh glad her eye is getting better too. sorry about the thrush hun. Hope that goes soon too.

pmccask hope you have a better night tonight. poor thing.

Ayapi I wouldnt worry about the weight gain hun. Liam didnt put much on in the first week only about 70oz so he is making up for it now...lol. Hope your not to sore but I remember walking at 2 weeks to the shops with callum and it hurt but was the same as you nice to get out. Rest up now hun!!

Yes feeb I find it too that when I sit Liam up for a while after feeding he is alot better. I put him over my shoulder for about 20 mins and he seems to be able to hold it down. But this thickening powder is great. Oh and thanks hun about asking if id like a sling. That would be great if your friend could.

Sw hope you get some sleep soon and your BBs get better.

Well better go do vegies for baked chicken...yayyyyy. YUMMMMIE..

    Take care all
