Thanx girls for that I still wrap Jonathan during the day & night. Once he hits the 3 or 4 months mark I will stop wrapping him, depends how he goes cause he will go into his own room at that time. Do any of u girls let ur babies cry themselves to sleep or do u comfort them after their feeds? Sometimes Jonathan cries after his feed & he wants me to comfort him which I do but I don't want him to get used to it as he will be in his room at 3/4 months like I said. Everytime he cries I go back & forth back & forth. But at night he's good (I don't want to jinx myself).
-
Anastasia - I did a form of controlled crying with DS when he was about 2 months old - basically we just let him cry himself to sleep. Couldn't imagine doing that again, its very hard to listen to them bawl... at the moment we help DD get to sleep - cos after all that controlled crying and DS still isn't a great sleeper, so we don't think it makes a difference!!!! At the moment we have to be beside the cot for DS to get to sleep, and he's 19 months old!!!!! Fat lot of good controlled crying did in our house.
So at the moment we rock or sorta jiggle DD to sleep....
And she has been sleeping all day!!! This isn't looking good for tonight.. seriously, she woke up at 12 for a feed, and my mum fed her, then she went back to sleep (and even when she "woke" up she wasn't very awake.. had her eyes closed the whole time.. )
Maybe she's growing.. or something.. hope she's not sick!!!
-
Afternoon all,
Well where has today gone!! I have to say it has been a very unsettled day here in my household  Isabel hasn't slept today yet! I have been trying to put her down since her last feed at 1:30pm. I think she is asleep and then she starts crying.. She may finally be down but next door is b$$$dy drilling and it's so annoying.
Tasia - yes I wrap Isabel pretty much all the time except when she is playing on her gym mat.
Mel - Isabel slept pretty much all day yesterday hence her not sleeping today :( I'm sure she will sleep tonight. Plus I don't think that she is sick could be just a growth spurt.
Missy - Wow back at work already you go girl. Who is looking after your little ones?
Tenny - Honestly I am feeling very tired and drained. I am always worrying that I'm not doing things correctly and sometime Isabel really tests me even at this age.. But I do love being a mum and I'm sure that it will get better.
:hello: to B, Belle, Jess, Tanis, Skittlebub, Pixie, Kell, Kristy and everyone else.
Well we had our first Mothers group yesterday and Isabel slept the whole time which was nice. There are 10 of us in the group which is nice and they all sound lovely hopefully we'll make some good friends out of this whole experience. Has everyone else started to attend their Mothers group yet??
I think that I might have a cuppa now that it sounds all quiet in this house, I'll BBL to catch up if I'm able to. Have a lovely afternoon/night all.

hi girls
You girls are all doing so well to post and do everything, im so tired lately I havent even had time to get online, but we have gone out every day in the morning with the girls so I guess thats why im super tired too. Tara didnt sleep well last night either, 4am feed didnt sleep much after only about 30 mins or so then 7am feed or bit before then had long sleep on my chest and I fell asleep too then 8am feed went well then we went out at 9.30am as she didnt want to go back to sleep then she slept in the sling against me until 1pm so I think I may have a clingy one!!! wants only me rather than her bassinet.... I let DH sleep last night and I got up to her so he had unbroken sleep so maybe thats why im so tired today...who knows...
Mez - yay on new MG thats great, do you have sessions on how to settle your baby and feeding etc like that? our last MG had that for 5 sessions then we were on our own to organise weekly catchups outside the centre. I hear you on the no sleep always crying. I started to try dummies at sleep but she only takes them when she wants.. have you tried one? Sometimes Tara doesnt like them at all she has to be inthe mood for it lol.
Mel - honey the first growth spurt is around 3 weeks isnt it? try not to worry hon, if she has regular poo and wees she will be ok.
Tasia - we did a form of controlled crying in our house too with Julia but we only let her cry for 2 mins thats it. Couldnt handle her crying. It was so difficult. When she was 3 months we stopped wrapping her best thing we did we put her in a growbag and she was great she always loved her arms being free and slept with then above her head LOL she slept great in a growbag, so Im doing the same this time with Tara, no more wrapping after 3 months. Growbags are the best invention! Happy birthday for sunday! Re J's feeding how many feeds does he have per day on average? If its 6 just divide 670mls by 6 and that gives you the amount of mls he needs per feed to meet the quota. I dont wake Tara up at night either, but she wakes herself up every 4 hours, at the moment she feeds at 9pm 11pm 4am, 7am, 9am, 12noon, 3pm, 6pm etc... I feed Tara earlier before 2 hourly feeds if she is mouthing for it or eating my shoulder or DHs shoulder or crying and nothing will console her but my feeding her.
Kell - thats great your CCN came to visit, they do here too, sorry to hear she has little tounge tie hon. No wonder so many issues feeding.
Feeb - fabulous re Jacobs weight gain! do you weigh him every week? wonder how often I should.
Kristy - hiya mate, you are doing so well with 3 boys! sounds like you are great hon and you even manage to go out too! Hugs re posting and losing I understand, They say BF babies dont need water as our milk is more watery apparently. I only started giving Julia water when I started solids and she was BF and also fed 2 x formula bottles a day.
Tenny - wow allthese twins!!! Hows Hayden today? good to see you. I do feel like im losing myself I look after everyone first and then me, its hard with more than 1 child too hey. I just got to make sure I drink and eat lol. Otherwise I get real crabby.
Pixie - you sound like you are doing so well and such a great sleeper Beth is too! thanks for the Deli tips from Bear! good point about tshirt and pants instead of the all in one suit, never thought about that, all those press studs are getting to me lol im going to try pants tomorrow!
Zee - honey I did get your text did you get mine back??? Hows Lucas and Laila? Housework! lol whats that? I dont believe in ironing and either does DH! so makes it easier on us. It is hard I agree with Kell to do housework with 2 kids. Mind you Julia loves helping me hand the washing on the line ! and she puts her clothes away too to help shes so cute!
Pixie - hon I forgot to mention our childhood centre had drop in days where you go in and write your name on a whiteboard and the nurses go down the list and you get so see them when the next nurse is free, thats twice a week at our centre, we went there this week to get Tara weighed, it was great just to go there and we just waited for 20mins to see someone, can you ask if your centre does that too? re Covers, I have some covers I can lend you hon, so you can test them out and see what you like? Im not using them at the moment, I havent converted to cloth yet, slaps my own wrist, I have a full bag waiting for me full of nappies and covers from my lovely friends MAZ and Chrissy happy to share with you so you can try some out. When you feel up to it we can meet up if you like for coffee at Leighhardt (ps I love the Forum!) happy to come that way and I can give you them.
SW - good to hear from you mate, how ru today?
Tania - how ru too hon?
Hope I dont lose this post!
Hello to everyone else if I have missed anyone, I will come back for more personals, time for dinner and feeding Tara...
MWAH to all.

Missy I can't believe you're back at work already!
And who mentioned ironing? I never iron, it's against my religion. Even when I was working I just didn't buy any work shirts that needed ironing or I sent them to the laundry. The Bear has to iron his own shirts, bless him, he does a much better job than I would!
Thanks everyone for all the tips on covers! And thanks heaps Belle for the offer of a loan! Sounds good, we will have to get together for a coffee soon - give me another week or so and then we'll organise it!
I would like to use mcns but if Dad is going to pay for the nappy service then I am happy to use that for six months, then go on to MCNs. I have some small MCN's for when DD needs to look extra spunky, but for everyday happy to use cloth especially if someone is washing them for me! When she was in the hospital she had to wear cloth nappies some of the time and she seemed fine with them. And I have got the magic pawpaw ointment that worked brilliantly on her nappy rash!
Tasia I only wrap DD if she is going to sleep in her hammock. Other than that if she is just snoozing in her rocker or her car seat I don't.
Mel DD has been sleeping HEAPS too! Maybe it's just the age? hope its that and doesn't mean she is going to be awake all night!
Kristy - you're a legend mate.
Tenny - The Bear and I are just in bliss mode.... maybe the hormones haven't worn off yet! LOL good to hear Hayden is back to normal.
:hello: everyone else

Anastasia.. i dont think its really recommended to control cry at this age as theyre still too young to try and manipulate iykwim. Atm them crying i guess is really their only way to communicate and usually is because theres something wrong, rather than not wanting to go to bed. We did somewhat with Jesse i think around 6 months. Was after he was past the colic stage and bringing up the wind himself and when he was starting to just not want to go to bed. Up until then i would comfort him to sleep. Hes a great sleeper once we've put him to bed. Will do the same with Keira.
Yeh at the moment, its either shes on our shoulder and gets tapped, or rocked or we walk or sit and tap or even use the bouncer (has a vibration).
Mez.. oh sorry Izzy's been playing up. Does she have wind? Have you tried that Colic Relief? We kinda had a mothers group with Jesse.. not sure if ill look for one with Keira.. its quite hard atm trying to juggle the 2 kids. Am going to start Jesse in Day Care next year so maybe the day he goes we might do something. But thats great you found one. You will find it great comparing notes ;)
Belle.. sorry you had a bad night. Hope tonights alot better. Having a toddler too tires you out alot aswell i think. But youre doing great!
I dont iron either. My clothes iron themselves on the clothes line lol. The most ive ever used out iron was to iron on transfers to shirts i made for Jesse
-
Kell - No I haven't tried the colic relief, today I bought Gripe Water and going to try that but I really don't know if she has colic or if it's reflux? She is asleep at the moment so that's good. I gave her 10mls of warm water this morning which seemed to work. My MG was organised by my MHCH for first time mums.
Belle - Isabel has the dummy when she is crying heaps it helps settle her, whatever helps me I'm happy to do. But like Tara she doesn't always take it only when she is in the mood for it. I do believe that they will tell us about how to settle your bubs in one of our session which will be great. Can't wait I'm looking forward to making new friends as most of my friends have kids that are much older.
-
Mel- I couldn't let Jonathan cry himself to sleep maybe when he gets a bit older, we'll see.
Belle-Yeah it is 6 I have been giving Jonathan & yeah 100mls or 120mls he leaves a little milk in bottle but not much.
I GOT MY PERIOD JUST BEFORE!!! (sorry TMI)
-
hey Tasia - that sounds good Tara drank about 100mls when I was express feeding her every 3-4 hours sometimes bit less. OMG you got your period. already? darn it LOL Im not looking forward to that.
Mez - yeah im looking forward to new Mothers Group too!
Kell - hiya mate, gotta love the no ironing lol!!! how are Jesse and Keira tonight?
Pixie - sounds great! I love going out and catching up for coffee!
Girls I put Tara's birth story in the birth story section if you are interested and I uploaded some more pics in Tara's album.
Have a good night, im going to bed now...so tired.
-
Anastasia - at least if you have your period now you can start planning on conceiving number 2 bub ;)
Belle - out every morning?! Geez you guys must be busy down there - no wonder you are tired!!!! Take it easy honey.... and just think - since most of our babies seem to be clingy - lucky we had them in winter - they keep us all warm... lol... and yeah, I thought they went through their first growth spurt at 3 weeks too... she didn't sleep much this afternoon, has just cat napped and stuff... so soon I'll go to bed (9.30 for this mumma) and DH can do the last feed and bring her down to the room, and then I hope I won't feel so stuffed when she wakes up in the early hours!!!!!!
Mez - I think with reflux they pull off their bottle/breast when feeding, and arch their backs and scream and stuff... colic is their wind usually after the feed and pulling their legs up to their chest - thats what I've read about each of them anyways.. I was going to try the gripe water, but colic relief was cheaper - and it works which is great!!!!! I think its fab that you guys get set up with a mothers group - they don't do things like that up here - didn't have a mothers group for DS and don't for DD - but what do I need one for - I have you guys - you're all my mothers group.. lol
Kel - pmsl @ the iron comment - OMG.. that is sooo like me.. lol...
Pixie - don't forget to be careful about which nappy creams you use on the MCN's when you start using them - can't use normal creams on them cos they'll stuff up the absorbency.. ;) Glad you guys are having such a good time with your little one.. :)
Ah well time for a cuppa and then prepare for bed I guess....
Oh - c-section ladies - anyone else having any belly pain? I've got bad burning belly pain, but not near my scar.... I'm guessing its nerves reattaching - yay... the fun continues... but at least my pelvis is getting better.. there is a silver lining.. lol
-
Belle- Yeah I know already, I have been having pain for a few days now. I'm going to go read Tara's birth story. Have a goodnight sweety :)
-
Mel- I can't start trying till I have my 3 periods & then we can start trying can't wait. I know I'm crazy :D
-
Mel.. i got some bad belly pains yesterday. Not sure if theyre the same as yours but they were kinds all over my belly. DH said maybe the uterus contracting/shrinking? Was kinda weird.
Belle.. will check out your pics in a sec. Both are good so far and asleep yay
Anastasia.. yay for AF.. not! ;) lol you trying already? yep you crazy lady! ;)
Mez.. yeh our hospital does a similar thing for first time mums. Though i wasnt told about it until too late with Jesse.. although i was still in agony for a few months after his birth so prob wouldnt have gone anyway. Hope the gripe water works hun. Does she pull her legs up whens shes crying? That can be a sign that its colic. Hope tomorrows a better day.
Still yet to feed Keira her 10.30pmish bottle so will see if the wicked witch rears her head once again after that feed!
-
Kel- Yep that's me crazy :)
Belle- That's beautiful birth story, well done sweety :)
-
Belle- Yeah I do have face book you can add me to facebook if you like and anyone else to is welcome :)
-
well i'm back. this is amazing i have another quiet moment so thought i would pop back on. Dh is at poker tonight and mum came for dinner but left a few mins ago and the kids are asleep.
the twins would usually sleep now till 2am but i think i will wake them at about 11.30-12ish and feed hopefully they will then sleep till morning. its a school day for isaac tomorrow and DH has the day off so i'm going to sleep in while DH drops him off and than we have all day to ourselved (well in 4 our intivuls anyway) maybe its time for some nookie. hehe . oh god imagine if i was to fall PG again :doh:oh crap and im told if you have faternal twins like we did it is an 80% chance of having more twins. i think i would have to check myself into a mental home.
Anastasia yeh i wouldn't control cry for a few months yet. all you can do is try to train them by getting a good bedtime rutine like say bath - massage - feed - wrap - quick cuddle than into bed, thats what we have been doing. and maybe pat them if they cry. i read that 3-6 months is a about the time to start to control cry. but to be honest the patting method and reassuring method worked better for us with isaac. letting him scream the house down just made everyone stressed. besides nightime cuddles is great bonding time. i just wish i had the same time for the twins as i did with isaac.
Ayapi i'm glad you enjoyed your mothers group. i went to the one at the hospital and it was good but i got a bit bored with it. i keep thinking i would like to go to another group but don't know if i could be bothered now. their is a new free toddler group every 2nd thursday at the hospital i would love to go to but isaac has school that day. i might call the mba (multibul births of australia) and find a twin one.
mel sorry no pain here. infact i have no feeling in that area at all. about 1-2 inch above and below my scar has absolutly no feeling. been meaning to get checked out but been to buisy. it's not bothering me so i'm not worried.
we are having some family pics done at portrate place in a couple of weeks. i got some done for isaac too. not sure what i will wear jeans and a nice top i surpose. i bought a top for it but its a girly style i don't usually wear. i will have to take some sample pics to see what it looks like in a photo, i don't want to look stupid or too fat, i got some tiney overalls for the twins and john and ike can wear jeans too. the photos are so expensive i worked it out at about $400. its a lot of money but you only get one chance at baby pics.
well better go i want to brows the net for nappy companies will need a few more soon.
take it easy

Hello all, took Jacob up to see my best friend today and her 3 kids (oldest is 3 tomorrow, 18 months and youngest is 6 days older than Jacob) and he screamed hadl the trip there and half back (45 min trip).

Anastasia i wrap jacob after a feed when i want him to settle (he settles in my arms an dthen straight into basinet for short period as he hates sleep) U R crazy wanting to ttc again allready!!!!! But good luck
Belle he is getting wg freauently as he is slow to gain wg.
hope everyone else is good just relaised time better go to bed before he wakes up from his sleep (this is usuall a good 3 hrs) unlike rest of day

Morning all!
Just thought id check in while Keira is asleep and Jesse's watching Dora.
Had another ok night. DH fed Keira at 11 put her straight to bed and she fell asleep no dramas woo! Then woke at 3.10am had a bottle had a few little issues until 4.30am but was asleep by then and woke at 7.10am along with jesse. Seems like the times for her to wake now 3.10am and 7.10am. But thats pretty good.. least its really just 1 get up in the night for me (other than Jesse's but hes straight back to sleep after i tuck him in).
Kristy.. have a nice day with your boys! Tomorrow was thinking about maybe Rouse Hill? Least its big and lots of room there for prams. Have pmed you on msn. Let me know if thats good for you.
Feeb.. oh it sux when they do that hey. Jesse use to scream alot during car trips. Makes it frustraiting to drive hey. You poor pet.
Well i best get dressed and go hang out the washing.
-
Kristy - Your photos are awesome. I love the one of you and the boys together.
Tasia - Lol. So excited to get AF. I'm hoping mine stays away for a while. Haha. You guys are eager. Wow!!!
Mez - They don't do the mothers group thing here either, I don't think. I think it's a great idea. I could have learnt so much from a group like that when I had Elijah.
Feeb - I hope Jacob starts liking the car. Hayden likes the car mostly unless we're going somewhere and he's hungry or grumpy, then he cries or whinges. Poor Elijah tries his hardest to distract Hayden and stop him crying sometimes but ends up real frustrated.
Going to check out Belle's birth story & pics. Yay!
Have a great day!!
I've decided thursdays are my sleep catchin' up days, just as long as Hayden sleeps too. Lol.
How sad having to plan when to catch a few extra zZzz.
hahahaha
-
Kristy loved your photos - especially the bath one - PMSL!
Belle great birth story hun
Mel and Kel - sorry to hear your having pain... bummer
Kel our DD is really good too - as long as we time the feeds right. Last night she fed at 11, then again at 3.30 and then woke us up at 7. She is usually great about going to sleep but she gets hiccups ALL the time. sometimes she hasn't even been eating. I will just pop her down in her rocker and pop - hiccups. It's quite funny but the poor little thing they shake her whole body. She is really patient with them though, she doesn't cry.
Feeb - hope jacob settles down for you soon babe.
Tasia - I really can't believe that you are thinking about another one already!!!!!
I should probably sign up for a mother's group but haven't got round to it yet. I am sure they must have some but I will ask at the Early Childhood Centre sometime.
The Bear has posted some new photos to our album at Beth
:hello: to all, have a great day!
-
Morning all,
Thought I'd quickly jump on while Isabel is finally asleep. Well we had a horror middle of the night feed (3am). Mel now that you told me what reflux is I think she has that cause she was kicking her legs and arching her back and not taking the bottle at all and just screaming this morning. I had to ring the helpline and she suggested it was heartburn too. So we had to give her a bath and then massage her tummy with olive oil didn't get back to sleep until 5am...:( it seems to only be the early morning feed that she does it though. This morning at 8am she was just fine feed well Oh I don't know it's just so hard being a mum.
Tenny - I hope you get a few extra z's today, I think I might too after our hard night.
Feeb - I too hate when Isabel is crying in the car I pretty much get DH to pull over and I get in the back seat to calm her down.
Kristy - Love your new pics sweet your boys are just gorgeous!
Belle - I'll go and read your birth story now hun and check out your pics.
Tasia - You are mad trying for another one so soon, but all to ya! I'm struggling with our little one and can't imagine getting pg now and expecting another in 9 months time.. Maybe mid nxt year for us to try again.
Mel - No pains here in my belly, just when I need to go to the toilet for number 2s the pain is worse than when I had labour pains.
-
Good afternoon all :)
I had a good sleep, I gave Jonathan his last bottle at 12am which I will be doing every night see how I go, he then cried at 3.50am for another bottle wrapped him up put him down & then he got up at 7.30am, so it was good. He's now sleeping we are going to go go & see a friend but scared to drive cause haven't driven in 6 weeks, & also scared because I will bedriving for the first time with Jonathan in the car. Everytime my hubby drives I always go in the back seat to be with Jonathan but I won't do it for too long though.
Mary- Poor little bubba how is Izzy? It's not hard being a mum u are just learning everyday as u go & ur doing a fantastic job sweety
Pixie- Yep we are thinking of another one, if you think about it right, say January If I fall pregnant the baby won't be born till October 2009. And Jonathan will be 1 year & 3 months & he will be off formula & I want them close together, it will be good, & who's to say I will get pregnant straight away it might take ages for me to get pregnant who knows. See how we go :)
Tenny- I am excited that my AF has come back but not the pain, which is not bad considering my peroid pain used to be worse back then but now it might just get use to it coming back & then later it might get worse, so I take Ponstan tablets they help.
Feeb- Yep I'm crazy lol.
Kristy- I'm not even thinking about control crying, I was just wanting to know how u guys were handling ur babies crying. To control crying Jonathan won't happen till waaaaaaay later. Jonathan doesn't cry much only when he doesn't see me or he wants attention.
-
Hiall
Kell love the new av hun. Cant wait to have mine changed
Well not doing personals again. Just thought Id pop in and say hi and let you all know that I took Liam to the clinic today and he is now 4kg. Little piggy. He is doing really well. He only wakes once during the night now, usually around 3-4 and then at 7 or 8 so giving mummy lots of sleep. DH will feed him his last between 10-11 as he is still up. He has abit of a cough but not giving him any problems feeding or sleeping. Wind is ok as well and over all very happy with him. He is drinking about 120mls-150mls. Is anyones elses bubba drinking as much or more. The only thing im worried about is he hasnt been startled with noise. Ive tried to startle him so I know all is ok with his hearing. Anyone else noticed there baby not startled??? It I cant get him to startle (sounds horrible I know) then Ill go to the gp.
Ironing, oh no I iron as I need. Also for those amazed at me going back to work, Im only going back 2 days a week and for those who dont know I manage a video shop so I can sit and watch DVD's if I get tired. Its a pretty easy going job.
Ok well better go
Oh Kristy love the photos hun/. Your boys are beautiful.
hi everyone:p
Take care and bbl

Just quickly popping in to let you all know I am alive!
We have had feeding issues (have posted in the breastfeeding support sect if you want to read up). All was going well until Tues night and Ashlea wouldn't attach again. I know it doesn't hurt her to be bottle fed but being the last baby I really want to do it as long as I can. Chris hasn't been too supportive with my decision but I have learnt to ignore him and his opinion and he has gotten a little better the past few days.....I think he has anyway, I haven't been paying much attention to him oops!
I have looked at all the new photos of the babies and all are just so precious!!! Tasia GL with TTC....crazy but good on you for jumping straight back in there haha
Missy Did Liam get a hearing test in hospital? Ashlea gets startled, maybe Liam is just a sound sleeper?? Best to get it checked to be on the safe side.
Thursday is turning in to my shopping day as Jayden is at daycare, I was meant to be home by 1pm but was with SIL#3 and I attemped to feed Ashlea while we were out (ended in a bottle). My next appt with the LC wasn't going to be until 29/08 as everything was going great but I called this morning to see if I could get in tomorrow, luckily there was an appt left so I grabbed it....Hopefully she can wave her magic wand and make it work!
:hello: to everyone
-
:hello: Everyone. Sorry I've been MIA lately but just coming to terms with being a mum. Ava's doing really well, she's a great sleeper and eater, though I'm struggling with the disappointment of not breastfeeding and have been posting alot in the BF forums. We give her a feed at around 10pm, she wakes at 4am for another feed, quick change and cuddle (I'm back in bed by 5) and then she usually stays asleep till a little before 8 (tho she slept through to 9 this morning), when its DH turn to feed her and I get a little bit more sleep.
She only crys when she's hungry and grumps a bit when she fights sleep, but I find she likes a cuddle and she's asleep in 15 mins!!!
Glad to read that everyone is doing weel and all the babies are putting on weight. Will try and get on later for some personals.
BTW - those who have had a c-section - is your stomach above your scar super sensitive??? I can barely stand to feel my underwear against it it's so sensitive!
-
Hi Tannis
Yes he did have his hearing test in hospital and all was ok. Im starting to get scared as ive tried a few times today but nothing. I hope he is only a heavy sleeper but I tried it when he was awake too but nothing. Ill see how I go tomorrow but if nothing will make an appointment at the gp. Im sorry your having BF hassels hun. I really hope things work out but hey if not dont knock yourself up about it. After all it all comes down to what is best for bubs.
Oh pink same with you hun, dont beat yourself up. Wow good little sleeper. Liam is the same. He sleeps well. Im so glad. He is so much easier then Melissa or Callum were. Third time lucky.
Well all hope the rest of you are not on as you are getting some sleep
Take care all
-
Oh and its natural for your c-sec scar to be numb kristy. Mine is and has aways been that way after my first one. Its evern worse now but you know what I hate touching it. Its like a numb when you go to the dentist. That kind of numbing. Is yours like that???
-
Tannis- Thanx for ur support :)
Pink- Mine was to sensitive but it's ok now, just the scar is dark pink is that normal?
-
Missy: hope you can get an appt, it's so hard here to get an appt same day. Thanks, I know Ashlea's well being comes first, still really frustrating though as things were going good.
Pink: big  for you, you do what you want to do Hun, PM me if you need to chat or vent, we are both in very similar situations including our other halves attitudes. It's definitely harder first time around, I was lucky to have SIL's that were a great support with BF'ing.
I have no idea what is going on with Ashlea... I attempted to feed her at 8pm and after a few goes she attached and fed then refused the other side, I let her sleep and I expressed. 9pm I tried again and she eventually fed off the other side. Still have my appt tomorrow so just have to wait. As soon as this is all sorted I promise I'll be back more often.
-
Hi guys - just a quick one - will BBL to post more personals.
Have a viral infection in my gut (somewhere, they aren't sure where) but ended up in hospital last night.
My mum has just arrived to babysit me and the little miss, cos I'm not supposed to do ANYTHING. Will be back later I hope!
Take it easy!
-
Good morning everyone :)
Mel- Oh god sweety, just take it easy, everything will be ok. Good that your mum is there to look after you & ur babies. love & hugs go out to u
-
Mel - that's no good. Have they given you anything for it? Are you in pain?
Anistasia - my scar is a dark pink. I think it's just at that stage of healing. I'm sure it will fade in time (fingers crossed).
Tan - thanks for the support but I have given up the ghost re BF. I think the tears yesterday was a little bit of hormones and some greiving over not being able to BF like I had planned (not to mention the c-section which I was completely un-prepaired for). The reason for wanting to BF are purley selfish. DD is thriving on FF, so much easier to settle and just generally a more contented/happy baby.
Hope everyone is having a good day (raining cats and dogs at my place), and their little ones are behaving themselves :angelic:

Pink- Yeah I'm sure it will fade, I'm not too worried about it. Well I was, but not anymore :) sounds like u got a full house 2d.

Awww Mel you poor thing. Hope you get better real soon. YAY mum. Gotta love the mums.
Well booked liam in to get his hearing tested again, but couldnt get in till Oct on my bday of all days. Taking him to the deaf and blind place at North Rocks, They are very good but he will have to be alseep for 3 hrs while it gets done. Hope he sleeps that long. Im hoping its just that he is used to callum yelling, banging, slaming doors and that is it. Im alittle depressed (what mother wouldnt be) but trying not to think about it as it will drive me in sane for 2 months.
Well better go. Mel get well!!!
Hi ya the rest of you ladiess.

Ok I'm back :) Mum has popped down to the shops to get ingredients to make me soup (she brought soup over, but is now making us a batch too.. must be something about soup.. she likes giving me soup!!)
Tan - I'm sorry you are still having issues with BFing. Hang in there honey - you are doing a fabbo job just doing what you are doing. First six weeks are the hardest remember!!!!! Keep on chuggin hon....
Missy - I hope Liam's hearing appointment goes ok. DD startles pretty easily (just did it then when I sneezed actually..lol) but hopefully Liam is just used to the noise and is pretty cruisy!!!!!
Pink - yeah I'm on antibiotics and panadeine for the pain.... hanging out till 2.30 to take more drugs though, its bloody killing me!!!!!! I'm glad you are feeling better about your feeding issues, its a hard thing to go through emotionally - things don't always work out the way that we foresee them  Oh and yeah its normal for the bit above your actual scar to be sensitive - all the nerves getting back together and all that jazz - so it all goes numbish and sensitive!!!! That is actually where my pain is, but its on my left side... grr.. stupid pain.. at least I don't have a fever so my drugs are working - woot!!
Mez - I hope Izzy gets better for you soon.. are you taking her to the docs to see if she can get on medication to help? We are about to switch formula AGAIN for DD - she did huge GREEN poos before - too much iron... doh!!! Need to change to another one and see how she goes...
Hello to everyone else.. I can't remember the rest of the posts (sorry!!!)
Think I need chocolate.. that will make tummy pain go away.. hehe

Is anyone else having trouble getting onto BB, I have been trying for 2 days and all of today:wall: really making me mad.
Missy- Like I said this morning hun its prob cause he is used to the noise. Laila was the same and Lucas only jumps if my bedroom door is slammed by Laila/wind.
Mel- Oh no, I hope you get better hun.. I couldnt think of anything worse atm.
Pink- Hun its ok , I felt the same with when I couldnt BF Laila..at least you gave it a try.
Tannis- Im sorry your having feeding issues..I feel the same as you. As Lucas is our last I wanted to BF even though I FF Laila. I hope the LC can help.
Tasia- Hehe we started TTC when Laila was 3 months old, I had a feeling it would take awhile to get PG but I feel within 6 weeks. Sadly it ended in a M/C.. then we started TTC again straight after and it took 8-9 months. Goodluck hun!
Mary- Things will get better hun, it is hard being a mum but im sure your doing a great job. Lucas has me near in tears everyday cause he hates to be put down, will sleep if you hold him but the sec he goes own he is awake screaming.. Laila was the same but then i only had her to think about now I have him and her :(
Feeb- Lucas hates the car aswell, Laila loved it but he hates it.
Well BF is going great except my supply started to drop off abit so I have to take Fenugreek and drink heaps of water (near makes me spew cause I hate water).
He is sleeping for a few hrs in the night now but wont sleep in the day unless i hold him *sigh* cant wait till this stage passes.

Afternoon ladies.
Mel - You poor thing. I hope you get better real soon. Yay! Your mummy making you soup. Mmm. Soup makes things better, well I think it does.
Hayden's poos have been greenish... does that mean too much iron???
He's not having issues with poos though.
What colour should it be? LOL
Mez - Being a mum is hardwork but you're doing a fantastic job. It really does get better. Your babygirl is lucky to have such a great mumma.
Missy - I hope everything goes alright with Liam's hearing. I'm sure he's just used to the noise. Hayden gets startled by like some noises, but not all. I don't think he's startled by Elijah though. I know it's harder said then done, but try not to worry cause everything will be fine, I just know it!
Zee - Great to hear Lucus is sleeping more during the nighttime. Whoo hoo!!!
Pink - Good to see you! I'm glad Ava is sleeping and eating great. Sorry to hear the BFing didn't turn out as you would have liked, but you tried your very best for your little girl and that's all you can really do.
Tan - I hope the LC helps. Good luck with your appointment.
We went and got Hayden weighed today and all that jazz. Everything is going along fine.
He's put on 380g in 2weeks, so he's 4.8kg. His head is 1.5cm bigger, so it's 39cm now
and he's grown 2cm in length, so he's now 55cm long.
Nothing much else going on. It's freezing cold here now. Blah.
xoxo.

Mel.. BIG  hun. I hope it clears up soon. Take it easy ok!
Missy.. OH just saw your post! When the CHN was here last week one of the questions in the blue book was does the baby startle at loud sounds. Well! Keira sleeps through all of Jesse tantrums and screaming and chucking and slamming of his toys. I said to her im not sure, cos i know she sleeps through all of that. But the hearing test at the hospital she passed fine. Then i was telling mum about it and she said oh yeh ive seen her startle a few times when she was here. Then i saw Keira jump yesterday when i dropped something. Otherwise i hadnt seen it. So Hopefully, Liam is just like Keira. Because they have gotten so use to all the noise from our toddlers (probably even when in the womb), they sleep through alot of it. Hope the tests confirm that for you.
Had a lovely day shopping with Kristy. Was great to get out again like we use to.
Well better run.. dinner is ready.

Hi all,
Well I've had a really hard night and day today but feeling much better after a visit to our GP who reassured me that I'm doing a great job as a mum and our little princess is doing well too. Last night we had to go to the Royal Children's Emergency as we couldn't see a GP and the dr's there just told us that she is unsettled and sent us back home. I was not impressed. So today after our Health Nurse apt Isabel is doing really well she has put on 455gms in 2 weeks and grown 2cms now 53cm long, so I was very happy about that. The nurse did tell me to go and see a dr cause she thought she has reflux. So we have just got back and yes she has been prescribed Zantac and some drops for her eyes as she has conjunctivitis so I was right that my little princess wasn't feeling well.
Mel - Oh sweet I really do hope that you feel better soon. So happy that your mum is looking after you though.
Tenny - Thank you so much, right back at you. Great news of Hayden's weight gain woohoo
Zee - I'm sure Lucas will get better sleeping for you. Izzy is doing that at the moment too.
Missy - I'm numb too just above my scar feels horrible.
ok will BBL as i have to change a pooy nappy
