Kell - I'm glad the bonjella is working. I'm glad DS1 loved that stuff. I'm hoping Bubbablue likes it too. I'm starting to think maybe Bubbablue might be teething too, but I'm not really sure. Fingers crossed he's not... just yet. YAY! for wrapping your pressies and getting your wii fit! I finished wrapping all of ours on friday afternoon. Such a relief to finally get it all over with.
Tan - It sounds like your SIL is more interested in butting into your life and kidlets then her own life. What's it to her really?
Missy - I'm glad your enjoyed the movie. I haven't even heard much about it. I'm so far behind the movie scene. Lol. I only just watched Mamma Mia yesterday. I love love loveeeeeeeeeeeeeed it!!
We had a great time out at dinner on Friday night. DS1 was gooooooooood. Bubbablue slept for most of the time then was him usual angel self. He cried when everyone was talking to him and kept looking for me. My little bubby is such a mumma's boy.
They got early christmas presents from my sister too. DS1 is inlove with his Ben10 stuff.
It's sooooooooo windy here. I hate the wind! All night it kept bashing the peach tree against our window and the branches kinda made scratchy noises on the glass. Very annoying. so I'm tired and all that today.
And I think I might have talked DP into getting a new stroller later on down the track when Bubbablue moves from the pram to a stroller. DS1 chewed the handles of the one we have when he was little so that's gross, plus the a bit of the brakes broke off. They still work but I'd prefer it to work fully.
Lazy Mummy is finally going to get the right Farex today. So we'll start that tomorrow hopefully.

There were 3 SIL's there last night I think they were all having a b!tch about me going out til that time, I told my niece before I left that she is the babysitter and not to let them bully her, she is around Ash a lot, she knows how to do everything with her out how she sleeps etc I had 100% confidence. SIL's like to have their whinges about different ppl and I guess I'm this months hot topic! I'm going there again this arve for FDC xmas party, won't be talking the 3 SIL's much if I can help it...really I think it would have been 2 of them the same ones that said something about the pool. Chris says I should just get over it but **** it annoys me!

Ok i wanna rant..
Every christmas we take turns as to which family we spend christmas day with. This year it is DH's family. So we then organise another day sometime to spend with my family. DH works every second weekend & BIL is working alot through too so it limits us. The weekend before Christmas DH is off. We cant do the Saturday cos of swimming (which is the case for my niece anways too) so the Sunday was free. Well my nephew is going to a birthday party so we cant do it then (who puts a birthday party on that close to christmas anyways!!). So the only other time is not until new year as DH is working boxing day.. plus BIL works through alot of the weekends and holidays too. Ok fair enough. But mum tells me today that she is going to do a christmas party with both my sister's and brother's families next tuesday so their kids can get their Christmas presents.. (what about Jesse and Keira!!?) .. knowing too well that DH is working and we cant go, as im not driving all that way and back in 1 day with 2 kids by myself. HOW RUDE! So its ok for the party to go ahead when its ok for my sister's family and we cant make it (considering we are the ones who have to travel to them! my bro and sis live 5 minutes away) but not ok for us to have a party and my nephew to miss out cos of a birthday party??!! Like WTF! Ive always known my brother and sister were favourites in our family.. and my sister's kids and the fav grandkids.. but thats just fricken rude. So yeh im not happy at all and so glad they live so damn far away! Farrrrk them!
Tan.. seriously they must have such dismal lives if all they can do is biarch about you and everyone else.. how pathetic. Just think of them as the "Ugly SIL's (stepsisters)" Hope your party today doesnt cause you too much stress.

Both my kids are asleep! Jesse has been asleep on the lounge room floor since 10.30am.. he who gets me up at 6.15am. Keira's asleep in her rocker. So just watching Girls Of the Playboy Mansion.. damn repeats though!
MIL's coming over later to watch the kids while DH and i go shopping (once he gets home from work). So will be nice to get away from whinge for a few hours.. if its not one its the other atm.

Well Callum has been abit naughty today. Does anyone else with toddlers have problems trying to get them to have sleeps during the day. He doesnt seem to want them but then is a real sort by the end of the day.

yeah Tenny Twilight hasnt had much talk about it. Not sure why not. Oh well. It was huge in the States so have to see if it did as well here. Oh for got to say ive started Liam on farex at lunch now. He loves it. He is on 2tsp of farex and 1 of puree apples. Just loves it. Will wait 2 weeks and try potato and then wait 1 more week and try pumpkin.

Hope u all had a great weekend. Mine was ok. OMG my MIL is sooooooooooooooo annoying, I was out & changed Jonathan cause he had done poos & went straight through his pants & my BIL was holding him & LOL he had poos on his top LOLOL I apologised for that happening but he was cool, anyway I went to change Jonathan & few minutes later my MIL was knocking at the door saying is everything ok, & I said yeah almost done, she kept knocking & knocking, I'm like just ****ing leave already. She said open the door I'm like we r coming out now so I think she must have got the hint so she left. I'm like bloody hell man, is she going to follow me everywhere I go Jonathan, seriously. She has to be the moooooooooooooooooost annoying MIL & person ever.

I'm also starting on puree apple 2m for one week, then mashed banana the next week, then potatoes, pumkin, broccoli & so on. Jonathan is liking the farex but he still pushes out his tongue just a little though. I'm not concerned.
Kel- That's not nice I would be mad as well, I don't blame you. I just wish my IL's lived faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away, My FIL he's ok.
Tan- I know wat u mean sweety, about the 3 SIL's. My hubby has theses 3 cousins & they totally *****es they think there top ****, I'm like watever. Everytime there is a function I try not to hang around them much, I can't stand them.

Kell- (who puts a birthday party on that close to christmas anyways!!). Me.. DD bday is on the 23rd ands its the only time we have free. We have said on invites we understand its a busy time of year and if they cant make it we wouldnt be offended.
Anyway I think its quite rude of your mum, god I would have freaked at my mother and told her that she should be telling your sister that its on the Sunday as its the only time you and your family can get up there and its hardly fair that your kids have to miss out on xmas with the family because of a birthday party.

Zee.. i was just having a rant because i was p!ssed off with my mother, it wasnt directed at you. I think if one of my kid's birthdays were that close to Christmas, i would do their party at the beginning of December. Just so that they get to celebrate, and get their party presents, seperate to Christmas, like everyone else gets to do. Just wouldnt want them missing out because they were born so close to such a big holiday.. plus then all their friends can still come.. but thats just me.
No i wont be coming. Am meeting my girfriend, Jesse's little mate Richie and her newborn next Monday.

She knows how to get what she wants.. even if it is just being a perfect little princess at times.. she still has a set of lungs on her thats for sure. Yes.. Jesse is inbetween needing a sleep and not needing one. Ive just been saying to him do you wanna go read a book (and have a sleep) if he says no i just tell him to go and have a rest on the lounge and watch tv.. which he does. Sometimes will sleep on the lounge others wont.. then yeh sometimes he is falling asleep at the table eating dinner.. but yeh not much else to do until theyre past that and not needing one i dont think.
Will be starting Keira on solids on the 28th when she is exactly 5 months.. same as we did for Jesse. (did i already say that before?) Bought a pack of Farex yesterday when we did our shopping.. cant believe theyre growing up so fast.
Jesse's watching Brum.. hes nuts about Brum atm. Am going to go looking for a Brum car tomorrow for him for Christmas. Told mum that yesterday and she calls me this morning saying oh im about to buy Jesse a Brum car. I said no i told you im going tomorrow to look for one for him to have for Christmas with his other presents. She gets the *****s with me. Well F**k not my fault youre doing Christmas without us.. and i want him to get it from us on Christmas day.. who knows when we'll see them..

Did you hold back or rip it up and tell her how it makes you feel about then organising it so you can't make it? WHOA! It's like you're not even allowed to get your kids what you want to get them for Christmas without your mum chucking a fit. I'm glad your ILs are cool.
Missy - Sounds like Liam is going great guns with solids. YAY! How long did you just give him plain farex for?
Tasia - Go Jonathan with his solids!!! I'm glad your MIL finally got the hint to back off. I don't know how you do it. I know I don't think I could handle a MIL doing that kinda stuff to me alot. I'm lucky we don't see MIL very often. Thank godddddd!

We gave Bubbablue some farex yesterday arvo cause DP wanted to give it to him first. Only screwed his face up the first couple of times then was alright with it. I got a couple photos which I'll upload later if I remember. (I'm still very forgetful as if I've still go really bad pg brain!)
I have so many questions about starting solids you'd think I've never done it before.
I've forgotten everything from DS1's baby time. It's been almost 5yrs but still I thought I'd remember at least a little.
Do you give it to them before or after a bottle?
Do you give your bubba farex in the morning/afternoon or what?
I'm sure I'll have plenty more quesitons to come to. Lol.

Tenny.. always give after a bottle as formula is most important in their diet until they are 12 months. Solids are just to get use to it iykwim. With Jesse his first lot of solids i gave during the middle of the day (say lunch time) so that if it effected him in any way i would see before he went to bed that night. But then when he started on 2 meals a day i moved the farex to breakfast and the other to either lunch or dinner. If i was starting a new food he would have it at lunch so again could see if it effected him. So by the time he was having 3 meals it was Farex for breakfast, fruit for lunch and vegies for dinner. But again always after the bottle. If you find hes too full straight after the bottle.. leave the solids for 1/2 an hour and then give them to him.
No i didnt say anything back to her, though now i wish i did.. but when it comes up again i will be. Yeh i know. I dont know what has changed in my mum since Jesse was born but man she aint the same person no more.

Yeah, we gave his first solids yesterday about an hour and a half after his bottle, I think.. when we got home from the shopping. I might keep doing the middle of the day thing thought. That's a good idea. I've never thought about it like that like in case something happened. The middle of the day suits me better anyways since I like to give him his first bottle laying in bed with me anyways. hehehe.
I can't believe your mum is like that. I hardly see my mum. I thought once I moved into my own place she'd be around to see me and the boys, but so far nadda and she def. doesn't see us in the school holidays either. It's not my loss though. It's hers!
I'm thinking we're teething again. I mentioned before I thought he was last week but then dismissed it, but I'm pretty sure he's started now. In a way I can't wait for those cute little toothiepegs to show themselves but then I don't want them to. :P

We're on 3hourly feeds here and lately he hasn't finished all his bottles. Maybe he had this HUGEEEEEEE SUPER DUPER growth spurt and now he's going back to normal. He's such a porky. He's my little porkypie!

Search BLS on the forums here - they have great information - its just basically no pureed food, and no spooning, letting the child feed themselves fingers of fruits and vegies, so they determine what they put in their mouths and how much - not shovelled in by someone else who wants them to eat - if you know what I mean? I'm not saying this is the right way to approach feeding - this is just the right way for us ya know?
And yeah we will be moving if I get this job. I'll be working full time and DH will be staying at home with the kids and getting business on the side and probably working at nights too stackin shelves or something (works out better if I get this job cos its paid maternity leave)

Tenny Ive always given Liam puree apples with his farex. He doesnt seem to pull face when I do but have given it to him with out apple too and he pulls faces. I know they dont really know the difference but I have always put apples in babies farex. Thats just me. Always give formular first hun. I give Liam his bottle say between 7-9 then 1/2 later his farex and so on with the lunch and dinner one. Bottle first.
