Mel- Yeah i do burp him after every bottle feed. Nah man ur not being harsh, i think i am changing his sleeping habits, i will stop. As for him waking up in the middle of the night for feed i will give it to him, if he's hungry, he's hungry.
That's the point I was trying to make - if he's hungry - just feed him. Don't worry about setting up bad habits, or anything like that - he's a baby - he's just hungry. You don't know if he's going through a growth spurt or anything like that, and I don't know about you - but I'd feel awfully guilty if I tried for a couple of hours trying to get a baby to settle - and it turned out my child was hungry and just needed a bottle!!!
The bottle is always the first thing I try when my babies wake up - cos if its hunger - its easily solved. Those nights where nothing seems to be the problem - and they reject the bottle - then its time to bring out the big guns !!!
