    Happy 6mths JACOB!!!

Also Happy 5 & 6mths to the beautiful babies I have missed!!!!

Sorry I have been MIA lately, its been such a busy time since xmas with family etc and of course the new car! Other times I get on and read but then Jayden needs me or Ashlea needs me so I just haven't been getting time (unless I stay up til early hours).

SW: Hope your finger heals quickly (and Alyssia takes to your meds ok!)

Belle: You are not behind with Tara at all, Ashlea hasn't started solids yet and won't be until 6mths or maybe later depending on how the feeding is going.

Kell: Woohoo on the flat stomach! I gotta work on one of those!

    Kristy: Hope Isaac is ok

Mez: Jayden started weetbix at about 9 or 10mths

As for us: Ashlea is kind of sitting up, the longest has been about 30 seconds, Jayden is going really well off his bottles and we have just started TT'ing again seriously (so far no nappies or accidence today). Prom dress shopping was really fun and both my niece's have their dresses, I also tried on a few wedding dresses and now I want to get married LOL, Chris and I are discussing dates now! It won't be until spring 2010 at least though. AF was due xmas eve and as it hadn't arrived and I was feeling a little blahh and tired etc I thought I was UTD, despite having HPT's left over from Ashlea I didn't do one as I thought I will just ignore it (so don't want to be PG right now if ever!), well luckily (and not luckily too) AF arrived this morning (only 2 weeks late!). Thinking it might be time for the mini pill or something.
Its meant to be quiet time here and Jayden is going through one of the cupboards in the computer room so I best be off!

ETA: Spoke too soon, as I was posting Jayden wet his pants Oh well can't be perfect straight up haha

Mez.. i was told 8 months to start weetbix.. thats when we started it with Jesse. You can get baby porriage and cereals (but always go off the age on the packet) if you would rather trying that then farex. Its just with the baby foods.

Tan.. woohoo on Ash sitting!cGood luck with Jayden TT. Oh well, he'll get there.

    Hey folks...
took Beth up to the pharmacy to weigh her this morning and the baby nurse was there so got her measured as well.....
she is five months tomorrow and her weight is 7.7kg and length 66cm
so a real chunk she is very strong too, scared the baby nurse LOL
Not sure whether I should be giving her solids, so confused about all the advice re: solids and the baby nurse was the worst of all. she was saying because she is so big don't give her solids till six months, well she told the lady before me that she shouldn't give her baby solids cause she was so small (6.5kg) also she said that in five years they will be back to telling people to give solids at 4 months, to wait till she was 5.5 mths, to wait till she was 6 months bah! it's all too friggin hard! she said not to give her rusks till six months well i bought some at the supermarket and she loves them. so i give up listening to those people!
To those who asked about her sleeping, she does sleep at night once I get her down, she was waking up once overnight this week but it seems to be a growth spurt and she slept through again last night. it's just such a battle to get her to take a nap or go to bed. Don't know what the story is and I keep doubting myself because it's such a struggle. for example she has just gone to sleep now after an hour of trying... I will have to wake her up soon because otherwise she won't sleep tonight.
    BUT MOVING ON.....
    HAPPY SIX MONTHS JACOB!!!
SW nightmare about your spider bite! sounds awful!
Tan good luck with the TT and for not being UTD!
Kell I hope things get better for you, sounds like it's not easy atm!
Kristy yay for being down to 76kg!
Belle honey good to see you back, we aren't on solids yet really either just thinking about it or being confused about it more like
to Mez, Missy, Tasia, Mel, and everyone else..... have a great day

Pixie.. oh hun they dont make it easy for you do they! I say just listen to your gut instinct and start her when you feel she is ready and when you are ready. There is no rush. Everyone has different opinions on when is right.. but thats also because every baby is different. It can be very daunting starting solids and getting it right and everything. But youll work it out, its all really trial and error and well experimentation for both you and Beth on what works for you. Regarding not until shes 6 months due to her weight.. what a load of balonni! Honestly i dont think it makes a difference. Jesse was always above the 97 percentile, Keira im sure is too and theyve both done fine. Jesse definately isnt a fat kid at all now.. and i think at this age theres no such thing as a fat baby, just baby chub. So yeh hun, just take on board what everyone else is saying or doing and when you think it is time, then you start ok. If you have any questions when you reach that time, ask away. We're all here happy to help ok Great stats too Miss Beth!

    Hey all,

thank you so much for answering my question. I think that I will just wait until she is a little older before giving her weetbix. Kell I'll go and check out the baby porridge on the weekend and maybe give her that in the morning and her veggies at night.

Pixie - Isabel is the same during the day but once she is finally sleeping she does really well. Woohoo on Beth's stats that's wonderful. I would just go with your gut feeling about starting solids I tried early with Izzy and she wasn't interested then I started at 5 months and she is doing really well.

Tannis - welcome back sweet. Good to hear that you are talking about setting a wedding date that's exciting. Did you enjoy trying on wedding dresses??
