Veronica, we are getting the kids christened next month, and I saw you mentioned you will have to get things organised. Just curious what you have to do? We aren't very religious, we don't attend church services, but we want them done. Anyway, are you just talking about outfit etc???? I hope there is nothing I'm missing.

Mel - Yeh got to find an outfit. Doesnt need to be anything too fancy. I am just going to go to pumpkin patch and see if they have something white. You also need to get a candle. It can be a plain white candle or you can get something fancier from a baptism/christening shop and you also need to have a plain white square of material. I forgot what its called!! Its something that the priest will bless and place on the child. It has to be pure while, no colour or anything. This is something that you can get from a baptism shop too. When is your christening? Ours is on the 20th of April

I am slowly working my way through the posts! My MIL just called and said they are going to call in so i better do some cleaning before they get here. I just know they are going to do something stupid like bring Tom lots of chocolate. Grrr!

Jess - we had a choking incident too last night. Silly DH was giving Tom chips (salt and vinegar of all things!!) and he choked on one. I panicked and didn't know what to do. He vomited every where and the chip came flying out. NO MORE CHIPS!! and a first aid course for mummy. Curling up with a book sounds wonderful - I am reading a fantastic book at the moment called "Escape" about a woman born into a polygamist cult. At 18 she was married off to a 55 year old man - she was his 4th wife and she had 8 children to him. It is fascinating and I can't put it down. It is one of those ones you don't want to end!

V - good luck with finding something to do with all the egg yolks! Great Barrier Reef sounds absolutely beautiful

    Hi Everyone,

Well I'll attempt personals but I'm not very well so if I forget you I'm sorry didn't mean to!

V, good to hear that ava is sleeping through the night again! I think Noah will be walking by then too! Also bubs can eat egg yolks at this age but not the egg whited you could lightly cook them and give them to avaleigh with toast or you could cook them completely and grate them into her food.

Jess, Don't feel bad you really don't realise how dirty you house is until a mobile baby comes to show you. Noah picked up one of those plastic tabs that close bread etc it must have been next to the fridge or something! to keep your house to what would be a really good standard of clean to have a baby in I think you would pretty much have to hire a full time cleaner!

Raels, So glad your nephew is doing well! When Noah was in SCN there were babies that young and it was a very emotional thing to see I don't think you can actually get how small these babies are until you see them in real life. My SIL was in SC at RBH Bris and she found it really hard so she has transferred int oncology!sp?

Bec, glad Xavier slept through for you hopefully it keeps going!

August, Thanks, did you ever go for your walk and swim?

Sarah, Welcome you and your family to BellyBelly. With your sleep issues One really great book is Babywise there is babywise1 which is a lot about sleeping through and babywise 2 which elaborates, has lots of great baby info on all topics als keeps going into toddlerwise and all the way up to one on teenagers so could be a great series with all your kids I love it and know a lot of laies that use it!

Also I have an ebook I can email you if you like just pm me. A lady from Mothers Group sent it to us all and one other lady from mothers group had exactly the same prob as you and she had been to sleep clinic and everything anyway she said this . ebook really helped and her sons been sleeping through. So I haven't read it myself but a few mothers from mothers group said it was a God send.

Also does he have a feed right before bed? That might help if he's getting hungry I would recommend going to at least 4 feeds and also I find and have read if Noah doesn't get to bed until later he will wake earlier so maybe try to get him to bed earlier 6.30 - 7 might herlp?

Well after Noah and I were both sick on Sunday we were both fine yesterday so we went 4wdriving and camped last night but Iwoke up in the middle of the night and was chucking everywhere so not nice at all been sick all day too so not nice but Noah is fine and luckily Phil had today off too so he took care of Noah

    Happy 8 months Ethan

Its so hard to believe 8 months has gone by already! He has grown sooo much every day, and so has my love for him, the overwhelming feeling of love when i first held my boy in my arms was massive, but it gets sooo much stronger!

Even though he was the worlds biggest grumpy bubba this afternoon!! LOL omg i dont know what got in to him, he was chewing on a stick that he picked up and i took it away and he just looked at me and cried, and cry and scream is what he did for pretty much the next 2hrs!! He ended up in bed 1/2hr earlier tonight as i had a headache and really could not handle anymore

Sara- Yay for Kaetlyn getting 2 teeth!! Hope they haven't been bothering her too much! Hmm ethan is still all gum..i wonder when he will grow some teeths!!

Jas- Sorry to hear your so unwell, i hope you improve soon and start feeling better.

Em- Choking is so scary isn't it!! I have done my senior first aid course and im so glad i did it, i know instinctively we would probably know what to do, but i panicked and it took a split second for me to tell myself "you've done the course you know what to do" and after wards i was like thank god for first aid!! Then the shock kicked in and i was shaking like a leaf. I didn't end up getting to read my book, as i forgot where i put it and by the time i found it (under my pillow) Ethan was awake! That book your reading sounds great, who is the author?

Well im off to bed, after our grumpy episode today (right in the middle of preparing tea) I am pooped! Night ladies.

Jess, I just realised that because of the time difference you are not posting that late at all! I used to look at the time and think wow, how late is that! But it posts the time you posted in my time, if you know what I mean. LOL sory, must have been a baby brain moment! I keep forgetting you are like 3 hours behind us!
I have done my FA course as well, but be buggered if I could even remeber what to do with a wasp sting, let alone choing. I had to ring DH and ask him what to do when I got stung! ANd all that was, was to put ice on it!
    So well done to you!
If you ever need a good book to read, I love Jodi Picolt books. They are always, sit on the edge of your seat books. I love My Sisters Keeper. It is my most favourite book ever! It is very sad though, and I bawled my eyes out, but I do reccomend it to anyone!
Happt 8 months also to mr Ethan
Jas, do you mind if you e-mail me the ebook? One of the mothers in mothers group is having terrible time with her son and sleeping through the night at the moment. I will pm my e-mail addy.
Hope you are better. Nothing like being sick when you are not at home, you just want to get home.
Em that book sounds good. who is the author?

Well thats all have time for! need to get some house work done before Kaetlyn wakes up!

The author is Carolyn Jessop. I finished it last night and it was so good! Sara - I absolutely love Jodi Picoult too. She has a new one coming out in April called Change of Heart (I think). Really looking forward to reading it.

Well, MIL and FIL came around last night. Brought T a massive easter egg and cracked it when i wouldn't let him have any. I have enough trouble with him eating and drinking without introducing him to chocolate just yet! Tom kept crawling over and touching the curtains so we were taking him away and saying "No' really firmly. Of course he wouldn't listen and thought it was all a game, so MIL was like "Give him a smack. You need to show him who is boss". She kept saying it, I was so angry ! I was so glad when they left!

Ok vent over! Quick question - is anyone using cows milk in recipes or on cereal for bubs? I know we have to wait until 12months for drinking it but i have a few recipes in my baby book that use it, like cauliflower cheese etc. Not sure if i should give them a go yet.
